With vigorous developments in nanotechnology,the elaborate regulation of microstructure shows attractive potential in the design of electromagnetic wave absorbers.Herein,a hierarchical porous structure and composite h...With vigorous developments in nanotechnology,the elaborate regulation of microstructure shows attractive potential in the design of electromagnetic wave absorbers.Herein,a hierarchical porous structure and composite heterogeneous interface are constructed successfully to optimize the electromagnetic loss capacity.The macro–micro-synergistic graphene aerogel formed by the ice template‑assisted 3D printing strategy is cut by silicon carbide nanowires(SiC_(nws))grown in situ,while boron nitride(BN)interfacial structure is introduced on graphene nanoplates.The unique composite structure forces multiple scattering of incident EMWs,ensuring the combined effects of interfacial polarization,conduction networks,and magnetic-dielectric synergy.Therefore,the as-prepared composites present a minimum reflection loss value of−37.8 dB and a wide effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)of 9.2 GHz(from 8.8 to 18.0 GHz)at 2.5 mm.Besides,relying on the intrinsic high-temperature resistance of SiC_(nws) and BN,the EAB also remains above 5.0 GHz after annealing in air environment at 600℃ for 10 h.展开更多
The compression and energy absorption properties of foam geopolymers increase stress wave attenuation under explosion impacts,reducing the vibration effect on the structure.Explosion tests were conducted using several...The compression and energy absorption properties of foam geopolymers increase stress wave attenuation under explosion impacts,reducing the vibration effect on the structure.Explosion tests were conducted using several composite structure models,including a concrete lining structure(CLS)without foam geopolymer and six foam geopolymer composite structures(FGCS)with different backfill parameters,to study the dynamic response and wave dissipation mechanisms of FGCS under explosive loading.Pressure,strain,and vibration responses at different locations were synchronously tested.The damage modes and dynamic responses of different models were compared,and how wave elimination and energy absorption efficiencies were affected by foam geopolymer backfill parameters was analyzed.The results showed that the foam geopolymer absorbed and dissipated the impact energy through continuous compressive deformation under high strain rates and dynamic loading,reducing the strain in the liner structure by 52%and increasing the pressure attenuation rate by 28%.Additionally,the foam geopolymer backfill reduced structural vibration and liner deformation,with the FGCS structure showing 35%less displacement and 70%less acceleration compared to the CLS.The FGCS model with thicker,less dense foam geopolymer backfill,having more pores and higher porosity,demonstrated better compression and energy absorption under dynamic impact,increasing stress wave attenuation efficiency.By analyzing the stress wave propagation and the compression characteristics of the porous medium,it was concluded that the stress transfer ratio of FGCS-ρ-579 was 77%lower than that of CLS,and the transmitted wave energy was 90%lower.The results of this study provide a scientific basis for optimizing underground composite structure interlayer parameters.展开更多

After decoupling, a kind of two-layer cycled optimization strategy suitable for these integrated shape/sizing optimization is obtained. The uniform design method is used to provide sample points, and approximation models for shape design variables. And the results of sizing optimization are construct- ed with the quadratic response surface method (QRSM). The complex method based on QRSM is used to opti- mize the shape design variables and the criteria method is adopted to optimize the sizing design variables. Compared with the conventional method, the proposed algorithm is more effective and feasible for solving complex composite optimization problems and has good efficiency in weight cutting.展开更多
A two-step method is proposed for detection and identification of invisible impact damage in composite structure under temperature changes using Lamb waves.First,a statistical outlier analysis is employed to distingui...A two-step method is proposed for detection and identification of invisible impact damage in composite structure under temperature changes using Lamb waves.First,a statistical outlier analysis is employed to distinguish whether the changes of Lamb wave signals are induced by damage within a monitoring area or are only affected by temperature changes.Damage indices are defined after the Lamb wave signals are processed by Fourier transform,and a Monte Carlo procedure is used to obtain the damage threshold value for the damage indices at the undamaged state.If the damage indices in the operation state exceed the threshold value,the presence of damage is determined.Then,a probabilistic damage imaging algorithm displaying probabilities of the presence of damage within the monitoring area is adopted to fuse information collected from multiple actuator-sensor paths to identify the location of damage.Damage indices under damaged state are used to generate the diagnostic image.Experimental study on a stiffened composite panel with random temperature changes is performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.展开更多
Despite the presence of Li F components in the solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)formed on the graphite anode surface by conventional electrolyte,these Li F components primarily exist in an amorphous state,rendering th...Despite the presence of Li F components in the solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)formed on the graphite anode surface by conventional electrolyte,these Li F components primarily exist in an amorphous state,rendering them incapable of effectively inhibiting the exchange reaction between lithium ions and transition metal ions in the electrolyte.Consequently,nearly all lithium ions within the SEI film are replaced by transition metal ions,resulting in an increase in interphacial impedance and a decrease in stability.Herein,we demonstrate that the SEI film,constructed by fluoroethylene carbonate(FEC)additive rich in crystalline Li F,effectively inhibits the undesired Li^(+)/Co^(2+)ion exchange reaction,thereby suppressing the deposition of cobalt compounds and metallic cobalt.Furthermore,the deposited cobalt compounds exhibit enhanced structural stability and reduced catalytic activity with minimal impact on the interphacial stability of the graphite anode.Our findings reveal the crucial influence of SEI film composition and structure on the deposition and hazards associated with transition metal ions,providing valuable guidance for designing next-generation electrolytes.展开更多
In this paper,a type of reinforcing structure for composite shell with single and through hole is presented.The experimental tests for the composite shells without hole,with single hole and reinforced structure,with t...In this paper,a type of reinforcing structure for composite shell with single and through hole is presented.The experimental tests for the composite shells without hole,with single hole and reinforced structure,with through hole and reinforced structure subjected to hydrostatic pressure were carried out by the designed experimental test system.The mechanical responses of the composite shells under hydrostatic pressure are obtained by the high-speed camera and strain measurement.The results show that the entire deformation process of the shell can be divided into three:uniform compression,"buckling mode formation"and buckling.The"buckling mode formation"process is captured and reported for the first time.For the composite shell with single hole,the proposed reinforcing structure has a significant reinforcement effect on the shell and the buckling capacity of the shell is not weaker than the complete composite shell.For the composite shell with through hole,sealing effect can be achieved by the proposed reinforcing structure,but the buckling capacity of the shell after reinforcement can only reach 77%of the original buckling capacity.展开更多
Li_(6)PS_(5)Cl is a highly wanted sulfide-solid-electrolyte(SSE)for developing all-solid-state lithium batteries,due to its high ionic conductivity,good processability and abundant compositional elements.However,its c...Li_(6)PS_(5)Cl is a highly wanted sulfide-solid-electrolyte(SSE)for developing all-solid-state lithium batteries,due to its high ionic conductivity,good processability and abundant compositional elements.However,its cyclability is poor because of harmful side reactions at the Li_(6)PS_(5)Cl/Li interface and growth of lithium dendrites inside Li_(6)PS_(5)Cl phase.Herein,we report a simple interface-engineering remedy to boost the electrochemical performance of Li_(6)PS_(5)Cl,by coating its surface with a Li-compatible electrolyte Li3OCl having low electronic conductivity.The obtainedLi_(6)PS_(5)Cl@Li_(3)OCl core@shell structure exhibits a synergistic effect.Consequently,compared with the bare Li_(6)PS_(5)Cl,this composite electrolyte exhibits great performance improvements:1)In LijelectrolytejLi symmetric cells,the critical current density at 30℃gets increased from 0.6 mA cm^(-2)to 1.6 mA cm^(-2),and the lifetime gets prolonged from 320 h to 1400 h at the cycling current of 0.2 mA cm^(-2)or from 10 h to 900 h at the cycling current of 0.5 mA cm^(-2);2)In Lij electrolytejNCM721 full cells running at 30℃,the cycling capacity at 0.2 C(or 0.5 C)gets enhanced by 20%(or from unfeasible to be feasible)for 100 cycles and the rate capability reaches up to 2 C from 0.2 C;and in full cells running at 60℃,the cycling capacity is increased by 7%at 0.2 C and the rate capability is enhanced to 3.0 C from 0.5 C.The experimental studies and theoretical computations show that the performance enhancements are due to the confined electron penetration and suppressed lithium dendrites growth at theLi_(6)PS_(5)Cl@Li_(3)OCl interface.展开更多

In order to ensure...Adopting a steel-anchor beam and steel corbel composite structure in the anchor zone on pylon is one of the key techniques for the design of Jintang bridge, a cable-stayed bridge in Zhoushan, China. In order to ensure the safety of the steel-concrete composite structure, a stud connector model for the joint section was put forward. Experiments were conducted to obtain the relation between load and slip of specimen, the failure pattern of stud connector, the yield bearing capacity and ultimate bearing capacity of a single stud, etc. The whole process of the structural behavior of the specimen was comprehensively analyzed. The features of the internal force distribution in the steel-concrete composite structure and the strain distribution of stud connector under different loads were emphatically studied. The test results show that the stud connector is applicable for the steel-concrete composite structure for pylon of Jintang bridge. The stud has a good ductility performance and a obvious yield process before its destruction. The stud connector basically works in a state of elasticity under a load less than the yield load.展开更多
In order to study the influence of the bolt joint mode on low-velocity projectiles penetrating the composite protective structure,two bolt joint models which connect the composite target to the fixed frame were design...In order to study the influence of the bolt joint mode on low-velocity projectiles penetrating the composite protective structure,two bolt joint models which connect the composite target to the fixed frame were designed,the ballistic test of the bolted composite protective structure with limited span was carried out,and the bearing and failure characteristics of the bolted region,as well as the energy dissipation of each part of the structure,were analyzed.The results show that in the condition of lowvelocity impact,there are three failure modes for the bolted composite protective structure subjected to projectile penetration,including failure of the impact point of the composite target,failure of protective structure connecting components and failure of the holes in the bolted region of the composite target;the failure mode of bolt holes in the bolted region has a great influence on the protection performance,and the allowable value of the bearing capacity of the bolted region depends on the sum of the minimum failure load in the failure modes and the friction force;shear-out failure occurring in the bolt holes in the bolted region exerts the greatest effect on ballistic performance,which should be avoided;When simultaneous failure occurs in the bolted region and the free deformation region of the composite protective structure,the energy absorption per unit surface density of the composite protective structure reaches the maximum,which can give full play to its anti-penetration efficiency.展开更多

Evaluation of catalytic activity of both the commercial Y-zeolite and the novel Y-zeolite-containing composite material was carried out in the pulse micro-chromatography platform with two probe molecules of different molecular sizes: VGO feedstock and 1,3,5 tri-isopropyl benzene. It was found that the Y-zeolite-containing composite material was richer in external surface and meso-/macro-pores; the Y-zeolite-containing composite material demonstrated a smaller rate of deactivation compared to the commercial Y-zeolite.展开更多

In order to reduce the spacecraft weight and increase the payload,composite material structures will be widely used. It is difficult to evaluate the strength and life of composite materials due to their complex mechanism and various phenomena in damage and failure.Meanwhile,the structures of composite materials used in spacecrafts will bear complex loads,including the coupling loads of tension,pressure,bending,shear,and torsion. Static loads,thermal loads,and vibration loads may occur at the same time,which asks for verification requirements to ensure the structure safety. Therefore,it is necessary to carry out a systematic multi-level experimental study. In this paper,the building block approach (BBA) is used to investigate the multilevel composite material structures for spacecrafts. The advanced measurement technology is adopted based on digital image correlation (DIC) and piezoelectric and optical fiber sensors to measure the composite material structure deformation. The virtual experiment technology is applied to provide sufficient and reliable data for the evaluation of the composite material structures of spacecrafts.展开更多
As a typical energetic composite,polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)/aluminum(Al)has been widely applied in explosives,pyrotechnics,and propellants due to its ultra-high energy density and intense exothermic reaction.In thi...As a typical energetic composite,polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)/aluminum(Al)has been widely applied in explosives,pyrotechnics,and propellants due to its ultra-high energy density and intense exothermic reaction.In this work,the radial gradient(RG)structure of PTFE/Al cylinders with three different PTFE morphologies(200 nm and 5μm particles and 5μm fiber)and content changes are prepared by 3D printing technology.The effect of radial gradient structure on the pressure output of PTFE/Al has been studied.Compared with the morphology change of PTFE,the change of component content in the gradient structure has an obvious effect on the pressure output of the PTFE/Al cylinder.Furthermore,the relationships of the morphology,content of PTFE and the combustion reaction of the PTFE/Al cylinder reveal that the cylinder shows a more complex flame propagation process than others.These results could provide a strategy to improve the combustion and pressure output of PTFE/Al.展开更多

Each of sub-units is composed of two gold rods in transverse arrangement and one gold rod in longitudinal arrangement. Simulating electromagnetic responses of the structure, we verify that the structure exhibits the double Fano resonances, which originate from the coupling between magnetic quadrupoles and electric dipoles and the coupling between electric quadrupoles and electric dipoles. Simulation results also demonstrate that the structure is polarization-insensitive and shows an analogue of electromagnetically induced transparency at the two Fano resonances. Such a plasmonic structure has potential applications in photoelectric elements.展开更多

The absorption of the composite s...A tunable absorber, composed of a graphene ribbon on two layers of TiO2-Au between two slabs of dielectric material all on a metal substrate, is designed and numerically investigated. The absorption of the composite structure varies with the geometrical parameters of the structure and the physical parameters of graphene at mid-infrared frequencies. The numerical simulation shows that a near-perfect absorption with single and alum bands can be achieved in a certain frequency range. We also analyze the electric and surface current distributions to study the dual-band absorber. The results show that the absorber can be tuned by the chemical potential and electron phonon relaxation time of graphene, and electromagnetically induced transparency phenomenon can be obtained. The results of this study may be beneficial in the fields of infrared communication, perfect absorbers, sensors and filters.展开更多

The TiBN coating shows a self-forming multilayered nanocomposite structure while with relative uniform elemental distributions. High resolution transmission electron microscopy images reveal that the multilayered structure is derived from different grain sizes in the nanocomposite. Due to the existence of h-BN phase, the friction coefficient of the coating is about 0.25.展开更多
Superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors (SNSPDs) with a composite optical structure composed of phase-grating and optical cavity structures are designed to enhance both the system detection efficiency and t...Superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors (SNSPDs) with a composite optical structure composed of phase-grating and optical cavity structures are designed to enhance both the system detection efficiency and the response bandwidth. Numerical simulation by the finite-difference time-domain method shows that the photon absorption capacity of SNSPDs with a composite optical structure can be enhanced significantly by adjusting the parameters of the phase-grating and optical cavity structures at multiple frequency bands. The absorption capacity of the superconducting nanowires reaches 70%, 72%, 60.73%, 61.7%, 41.2%, and 46.5% at wavelengths of 684, 850, 732, 924, 1256, and 1426nm, respectively. The use of a composite optical structure reduces the total filling factor of superconducting nanowires to only 0.25, decreases the kinetic inductance of SNSPDs, and improves the count rates.展开更多
From 1980’s decade,the introduction of carbon composite materials in structural applications has been consistently increased in the successive generations of civil aircraft from Single Aisle to Middle-long Range to a...From 1980’s decade,the introduction of carbon composite materials in structural applications has been consistently increased in the successive generations of civil aircraft from Single Aisle to Middle-long Range to achieve a culminant point with more than 50%in structure weight in recent commercial civil aircraft.This evolution,done through successive iterations,has been possible by combining in the same time the improvement of intrinsic composite material performances and its transformation into prepreg production technologies together with the development of new manufacturing process for material lay-up automation at composite shop-floor manufacturer of aircraft composite parts.New challenges are still coming to continuously develop materials and technologies in order to pursue the production more cost-effective composite parts.Associated to higher aircraft production rate for single aisle,new challenges may force material and aircraft designers and producers to furthermore drive new products and processes introduction and new ways of transformation within in next decade of composite aircraft designs.We propose to illustrate these trends using past and recent developments and our return of experience from Hexcel on Civil Aircraft programs.展开更多

XRD ...For investigating the effect of dealumination on the pore structure and catalytic performance, ZSM-5/Y composite zeolites synthesized in situ from NaY gel were dealuminated by steaming at different temperatures. XRD (X-ray diffraction) characterization indicates that the relative crystallinity of the composite zeolites decreases with the increase in Si/Al ratio after steaming. N2 adsorption-desorption suggests that more mesopores are formed while the BET (Brunauer, Emmett and Teller) specific surface area and the micropore specific surface area decrease as the temperature of steaming rises. Daqing heavy oil was used as feedstock to test the catalytic cracking activity of ZSM-5/Y composite zeolites. The experimental results of the catalytic cracking performance reveal that the distribution of products differs due to the different conditions of hydrothermal treatment. Further hydrothermal treatment leads to an increase in the yield of light oil, and a decrease in the yield of gas products and coke.展开更多

In this paper, the bearing capacity of a multi-bucket structure is studied by experiments with a single bucket and four-bucket foundation in a saturated sand layer. Based on the experimental data and numerical analysis results, the bearing capacity behavior and the bucket group effect are compared and analyzed. Furthermore, some influential factors, such as the soil type, the ratio of length to diameter L/D, the ratio of the bucket spacing to the bucket diameter S/D, and the bucket number are introduced and their effects on the multi-bucket structural capacity are investigated. The vertical static capacity adjustment factor is introduced to evaluate the bucket group effects of the multi-bucket foundation.展开更多

文摘A two-step method is proposed for detection and identification of invisible impact damage in composite structure under temperature changes using Lamb waves.First,a statistical outlier analysis is employed to distinguish whether the changes of Lamb wave signals are induced by damage within a monitoring area or are only affected by temperature changes.Damage indices are defined after the Lamb wave signals are processed by Fourier transform,and a Monte Carlo procedure is used to obtain the damage threshold value for the damage indices at the undamaged state.If the damage indices in the operation state exceed the threshold value,the presence of damage is determined.Then,a probabilistic damage imaging algorithm displaying probabilities of the presence of damage within the monitoring area is adopted to fuse information collected from multiple actuator-sensor paths to identify the location of damage.Damage indices under damaged state are used to generate the diagnostic image.Experimental study on a stiffened composite panel with random temperature changes is performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

文摘Despite the presence of Li F components in the solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)formed on the graphite anode surface by conventional electrolyte,these Li F components primarily exist in an amorphous state,rendering them incapable of effectively inhibiting the exchange reaction between lithium ions and transition metal ions in the electrolyte.Consequently,nearly all lithium ions within the SEI film are replaced by transition metal ions,resulting in an increase in interphacial impedance and a decrease in stability.Herein,we demonstrate that the SEI film,constructed by fluoroethylene carbonate(FEC)additive rich in crystalline Li F,effectively inhibits the undesired Li^(+)/Co^(2+)ion exchange reaction,thereby suppressing the deposition of cobalt compounds and metallic cobalt.Furthermore,the deposited cobalt compounds exhibit enhanced structural stability and reduced catalytic activity with minimal impact on the interphacial stability of the graphite anode.Our findings reveal the crucial influence of SEI film composition and structure on the deposition and hazards associated with transition metal ions,providing valuable guidance for designing next-generation electrolytes.

文摘In this paper,a type of reinforcing structure for composite shell with single and through hole is presented.The experimental tests for the composite shells without hole,with single hole and reinforced structure,with through hole and reinforced structure subjected to hydrostatic pressure were carried out by the designed experimental test system.The mechanical responses of the composite shells under hydrostatic pressure are obtained by the high-speed camera and strain measurement.The results show that the entire deformation process of the shell can be divided into three:uniform compression,"buckling mode formation"and buckling.The"buckling mode formation"process is captured and reported for the first time.For the composite shell with single hole,the proposed reinforcing structure has a significant reinforcement effect on the shell and the buckling capacity of the shell is not weaker than the complete composite shell.For the composite shell with through hole,sealing effect can be achieved by the proposed reinforcing structure,but the buckling capacity of the shell after reinforcement can only reach 77%of the original buckling capacity.

文摘Li_(6)PS_(5)Cl is a highly wanted sulfide-solid-electrolyte(SSE)for developing all-solid-state lithium batteries,due to its high ionic conductivity,good processability and abundant compositional elements.However,its cyclability is poor because of harmful side reactions at the Li_(6)PS_(5)Cl/Li interface and growth of lithium dendrites inside Li_(6)PS_(5)Cl phase.Herein,we report a simple interface-engineering remedy to boost the electrochemical performance of Li_(6)PS_(5)Cl,by coating its surface with a Li-compatible electrolyte Li3OCl having low electronic conductivity.The obtainedLi_(6)PS_(5)Cl@Li_(3)OCl core@shell structure exhibits a synergistic effect.Consequently,compared with the bare Li_(6)PS_(5)Cl,this composite electrolyte exhibits great performance improvements:1)In LijelectrolytejLi symmetric cells,the critical current density at 30℃gets increased from 0.6 mA cm^(-2)to 1.6 mA cm^(-2),and the lifetime gets prolonged from 320 h to 1400 h at the cycling current of 0.2 mA cm^(-2)or from 10 h to 900 h at the cycling current of 0.5 mA cm^(-2);2)In Lij electrolytejNCM721 full cells running at 30℃,the cycling capacity at 0.2 C(or 0.5 C)gets enhanced by 20%(or from unfeasible to be feasible)for 100 cycles and the rate capability reaches up to 2 C from 0.2 C;and in full cells running at 60℃,the cycling capacity is increased by 7%at 0.2 C and the rate capability is enhanced to 3.0 C from 0.5 C.The experimental studies and theoretical computations show that the performance enhancements are due to the confined electron penetration and suppressed lithium dendrites growth at theLi_(6)PS_(5)Cl@Li_(3)OCl interface.
文摘Adopting a steel-anchor beam and steel corbel composite structure in the anchor zone on pylon is one of the key techniques for the design of Jintang bridge, a cable-stayed bridge in Zhoushan, China. In order to ensure the safety of the steel-concrete composite structure, a stud connector model for the joint section was put forward. Experiments were conducted to obtain the relation between load and slip of specimen, the failure pattern of stud connector, the yield bearing capacity and ultimate bearing capacity of a single stud, etc. The whole process of the structural behavior of the specimen was comprehensively analyzed. The features of the internal force distribution in the steel-concrete composite structure and the strain distribution of stud connector under different loads were emphatically studied. The test results show that the stud connector is applicable for the steel-concrete composite structure for pylon of Jintang bridge. The stud has a good ductility performance and a obvious yield process before its destruction. The stud connector basically works in a state of elasticity under a load less than the yield load.

文摘In order to study the influence of the bolt joint mode on low-velocity projectiles penetrating the composite protective structure,two bolt joint models which connect the composite target to the fixed frame were designed,the ballistic test of the bolted composite protective structure with limited span was carried out,and the bearing and failure characteristics of the bolted region,as well as the energy dissipation of each part of the structure,were analyzed.The results show that in the condition of lowvelocity impact,there are three failure modes for the bolted composite protective structure subjected to projectile penetration,including failure of the impact point of the composite target,failure of protective structure connecting components and failure of the holes in the bolted region of the composite target;the failure mode of bolt holes in the bolted region has a great influence on the protection performance,and the allowable value of the bearing capacity of the bolted region depends on the sum of the minimum failure load in the failure modes and the friction force;shear-out failure occurring in the bolt holes in the bolted region exerts the greatest effect on ballistic performance,which should be avoided;When simultaneous failure occurs in the bolted region and the free deformation region of the composite protective structure,the energy absorption per unit surface density of the composite protective structure reaches the maximum,which can give full play to its anti-penetration efficiency.
文摘A Y-zeolite-containing composite material with micro/mesoporous structure had been synthesized from kaolin by means of the in-situ crystallization method. The obtained samples were investigated by XRD and BET methods. Evaluation of catalytic activity of both the commercial Y-zeolite and the novel Y-zeolite-containing composite material was carried out in the pulse micro-chromatography platform with two probe molecules of different molecular sizes: VGO feedstock and 1,3,5 tri-isopropyl benzene. It was found that the Y-zeolite-containing composite material was richer in external surface and meso-/macro-pores; the Y-zeolite-containing composite material demonstrated a smaller rate of deactivation compared to the commercial Y-zeolite.
文摘This paper presents a comprehensive review of the research studies on direct energy system effect on aircraft composite structures to develop a good understanding of state-of-the-art research and development in this area.The review begins with the application of composite materials in the aircraft structures and highlights their particular areas of application and limitations.An overview of directed energy system is given.Some of the commonly used systems in this category are discussed and the working principles of laser energy systems are described.The experimental and numerical studies reported regarding the aircraft composite structures subject to the effect of directed energy systems,especially the laser systems are reviewed in detail.In particularly,the general effects of laser systems and the relevant damage mechanisms against the composite structures are reported.The review draws attention to the recent research and findings in this field and is expected to guide engineers/researchers in future theoretical,numerical,and experimental studies.
文摘With the implementation of new-generation launch vehicles,space stations,lunar and deep space exploration,etc.,the development of spacecraft structures will face new challenges. In order to reduce the spacecraft weight and increase the payload,composite material structures will be widely used. It is difficult to evaluate the strength and life of composite materials due to their complex mechanism and various phenomena in damage and failure.Meanwhile,the structures of composite materials used in spacecrafts will bear complex loads,including the coupling loads of tension,pressure,bending,shear,and torsion. Static loads,thermal loads,and vibration loads may occur at the same time,which asks for verification requirements to ensure the structure safety. Therefore,it is necessary to carry out a systematic multi-level experimental study. In this paper,the building block approach (BBA) is used to investigate the multilevel composite material structures for spacecrafts. The advanced measurement technology is adopted based on digital image correlation (DIC) and piezoelectric and optical fiber sensors to measure the composite material structure deformation. The virtual experiment technology is applied to provide sufficient and reliable data for the evaluation of the composite material structures of spacecrafts.

文摘As a typical energetic composite,polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)/aluminum(Al)has been widely applied in explosives,pyrotechnics,and propellants due to its ultra-high energy density and intense exothermic reaction.In this work,the radial gradient(RG)structure of PTFE/Al cylinders with three different PTFE morphologies(200 nm and 5μm particles and 5μm fiber)and content changes are prepared by 3D printing technology.The effect of radial gradient structure on the pressure output of PTFE/Al has been studied.Compared with the morphology change of PTFE,the change of component content in the gradient structure has an obvious effect on the pressure output of the PTFE/Al cylinder.Furthermore,the relationships of the morphology,content of PTFE and the combustion reaction of the PTFE/Al cylinder reveal that the cylinder shows a more complex flame propagation process than others.These results could provide a strategy to improve the combustion and pressure output of PTFE/Al.

文摘A combined structure with the unit cell consisting of four sub-units with 90° rotation in turn is designed. Each of sub-units is composed of two gold rods in transverse arrangement and one gold rod in longitudinal arrangement. Simulating electromagnetic responses of the structure, we verify that the structure exhibits the double Fano resonances, which originate from the coupling between magnetic quadrupoles and electric dipoles and the coupling between electric quadrupoles and electric dipoles. Simulation results also demonstrate that the structure is polarization-insensitive and shows an analogue of electromagnetically induced transparency at the two Fano resonances. Such a plasmonic structure has potential applications in photoelectric elements.

文摘A tunable absorber, composed of a graphene ribbon on two layers of TiO2-Au between two slabs of dielectric material all on a metal substrate, is designed and numerically investigated. The absorption of the composite structure varies with the geometrical parameters of the structure and the physical parameters of graphene at mid-infrared frequencies. The numerical simulation shows that a near-perfect absorption with single and alum bands can be achieved in a certain frequency range. We also analyze the electric and surface current distributions to study the dual-band absorber. The results show that the absorber can be tuned by the chemical potential and electron phonon relaxation time of graphene, and electromagnetically induced transparency phenomenon can be obtained. The results of this study may be beneficial in the fields of infrared communication, perfect absorbers, sensors and filters.

文摘A Ti-BN complex cathode is made from Ti and h-BN powders by the powder metallurgy technology, and TiBN coating is obtained by plasma immersion ion implantation and deposition with this Ti-BN composite cathode. The TiBN coating shows a self-forming multilayered nanocomposite structure while with relative uniform elemental distributions. High resolution transmission electron microscopy images reveal that the multilayered structure is derived from different grain sizes in the nanocomposite. Due to the existence of h-BN phase, the friction coefficient of the coating is about 0.25.

文摘Superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors (SNSPDs) with a composite optical structure composed of phase-grating and optical cavity structures are designed to enhance both the system detection efficiency and the response bandwidth. Numerical simulation by the finite-difference time-domain method shows that the photon absorption capacity of SNSPDs with a composite optical structure can be enhanced significantly by adjusting the parameters of the phase-grating and optical cavity structures at multiple frequency bands. The absorption capacity of the superconducting nanowires reaches 70%, 72%, 60.73%, 61.7%, 41.2%, and 46.5% at wavelengths of 684, 850, 732, 924, 1256, and 1426nm, respectively. The use of a composite optical structure reduces the total filling factor of superconducting nanowires to only 0.25, decreases the kinetic inductance of SNSPDs, and improves the count rates.
文摘From 1980’s decade,the introduction of carbon composite materials in structural applications has been consistently increased in the successive generations of civil aircraft from Single Aisle to Middle-long Range to achieve a culminant point with more than 50%in structure weight in recent commercial civil aircraft.This evolution,done through successive iterations,has been possible by combining in the same time the improvement of intrinsic composite material performances and its transformation into prepreg production technologies together with the development of new manufacturing process for material lay-up automation at composite shop-floor manufacturer of aircraft composite parts.New challenges are still coming to continuously develop materials and technologies in order to pursue the production more cost-effective composite parts.Associated to higher aircraft production rate for single aisle,new challenges may force material and aircraft designers and producers to furthermore drive new products and processes introduction and new ways of transformation within in next decade of composite aircraft designs.We propose to illustrate these trends using past and recent developments and our return of experience from Hexcel on Civil Aircraft programs.
文摘For investigating the effect of dealumination on the pore structure and catalytic performance, ZSM-5/Y composite zeolites synthesized in situ from NaY gel were dealuminated by steaming at different temperatures. XRD (X-ray diffraction) characterization indicates that the relative crystallinity of the composite zeolites decreases with the increase in Si/Al ratio after steaming. N2 adsorption-desorption suggests that more mesopores are formed while the BET (Brunauer, Emmett and Teller) specific surface area and the micropore specific surface area decrease as the temperature of steaming rises. Daqing heavy oil was used as feedstock to test the catalytic cracking activity of ZSM-5/Y composite zeolites. The experimental results of the catalytic cracking performance reveal that the distribution of products differs due to the different conditions of hydrothermal treatment. Further hydrothermal treatment leads to an increase in the yield of light oil, and a decrease in the yield of gas products and coke.
文摘As a novel type of foundation in beach and shallow sea, the bucket structure is especially suitable for complex conditions such as soft clay ground and the worse types of sea environments. In this paper, the bearing capacity of a multi-bucket structure is studied by experiments with a single bucket and four-bucket foundation in a saturated sand layer. Based on the experimental data and numerical analysis results, the bearing capacity behavior and the bucket group effect are compared and analyzed. Furthermore, some influential factors, such as the soil type, the ratio of length to diameter L/D, the ratio of the bucket spacing to the bucket diameter S/D, and the bucket number are introduced and their effects on the multi-bucket structural capacity are investigated. The vertical static capacity adjustment factor is introduced to evaluate the bucket group effects of the multi-bucket foundation.
