The effects of different warm rolling(WR)reductions on the microstructure and mechanical properties of low-Cr FeCrAl alloys at both room and elevated temperatures were investigated.The study revealed that when the WR ...The effects of different warm rolling(WR)reductions on the microstructure and mechanical properties of low-Cr FeCrAl alloys at both room and elevated temperatures were investigated.The study revealed that when the WR reduction is small,it effectively refines the grains and forms a large number of subgrains in the matrix,while also inducing the dissolution of the Laves phase.This enhances the mechanical properties of FeCrAl alloys primarily through grain refinement and solid solution strengthening.Conversely,with larger WR reductions,the grain refinement effect diminishes,but a significant number of Laves phases form in the matrix,strengthening the alloys primarily through precipitation strengthening.WR exhibited a remarkable enhancing effect on the comprehensive mechanical properties at both room and high temperatures,with a signi-ficant enhancement in ductility at high temperatures.Notably,a 10%WR reduction resulted in the optimal overall mechanical properties at both room and elevated temperatures.展开更多

High-entropy alloys(HEAs)have become essential materials in the aerospace and defense industries due to their remarkable mechanical properties,which include wear resistance,fatigue endurance,and corrosion resistance.T...High-entropy alloys(HEAs)have become essential materials in the aerospace and defense industries due to their remarkable mechanical properties,which include wear resistance,fatigue endurance,and corrosion resistance.The welding of high-entropy alloys is a cutting-edge field of study that is attracting a lot of interest and investigation from research organizations and businesses.Welding defects including porosity and cracks are challenging problem and limit the development of welding HEAs.This paper provides a comprehensive review of research on weldability of HEAs and the application of diverse welding techniques on welding HEAs over recent years.The forming mechanism and control strategies of defects during welding HEAs were provided in this work.Various welding techniques,including arc welding,laser welding,electron beam welding,friction stir welding,diffusion bonding and explosive welding,have been extensively investigated and applied to improve the microstructure and mechanical properties of HEAs joints.Furthermore,an in-depth review of the microstructure and mechanical properties of HEAs joints obtained by various welding methods is presented.This paper concludes with a discussion of the potential challenges associated with high-entropy alloy welding,thus providing valuable insights for future research efforts in this area.展开更多
The influence of grain size or grain refinement on the corrosion of Zr alloy is clarified by employing a series of electrochemical analyses and characterization techniques.The corrosion resistance,as a function of exp...The influence of grain size or grain refinement on the corrosion of Zr alloy is clarified by employing a series of electrochemical analyses and characterization techniques.The corrosion resistance,as a function of exposure time,F−concentration,and solution temperatures,of Zr alloys with different grain sizes is ascertained.The results confirm that refining the grain size can effectively enhance the short-time corrosion properties of Zr alloy in HNO_(3) with F−.The fine grained Zr alloy(~10μm in diameter)consistently exhibits a lower corrosion current density,ranging from 18%to 46%lower than that of the coarse-grained Zr alloy(~44μm).The enhanced corrosion resistance is attributed to the high density grain boundaries,which promote oxide stability,and accelerate the creation of the protective layer.The high corrosion rate and pseudo-passivation behavior of Zr alloys in fluorinated nitric acid originate from the accelerated“dissolution-passivation”of the oxide film.However,the grain refinement does not provide enduring anti-corrosion for Zr alloys.To meet the operation of spent fuel reprocessing,additional systematic efforts are required to evaluate the long term effect of grain refinement.展开更多

The ocean is one of the essential fields of national defense in the future,and more and more attention is paid to the lightweight research of Marine equipment and materials.This study it is to develop a Machine learni...The ocean is one of the essential fields of national defense in the future,and more and more attention is paid to the lightweight research of Marine equipment and materials.This study it is to develop a Machine learning(ML)-based prediction method to study the evolution of the mechanical properties of Al-Li alloys in the marine environment.We obtained the mechanical properties of Al-Li alloy samples under uniaxial tensile deformation at different exposure times through Marine exposure experiments.We obtained the strain evolution by digital image correlation(DIC).The strain field images are voxelized using 2D-Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN)autoencoders as input data for Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)neural networks.Then,the output data of LSTM neural networks combined with corrosion features were input into the Back Propagation(BP)neural network to predict the mechanical properties of Al-Li alloys.The main conclusions are as follows:1.The variation law of mechanical properties of2297-T8 in the Marine atmosphere is revealed.With the increase in outdoor exposure test time,the tensile elastic model of 2297-T8 changes slowly,within 10%,and the tensile yield stress changes significantly,with a maximum attenuation of 23.6%.2.The prediction model can predict the strain evolution and mechanical response simultaneously with an error of less than 5%.3.This study shows that a CNN/LSTM system based on machine learning can be built to capture the corrosion characteristics of Marine exposure experiments.The results show that the relationship between corrosion characteristics and mechanical response can be predicted without considering the microstructure evolution of metal materials.展开更多
Energetic structural materials(ESMs)are a new type of structural materials with bearing and damage characteristics.In this work the microstructure,mechanical properties and energy release characteristics of multi-elem...Energetic structural materials(ESMs)are a new type of structural materials with bearing and damage characteristics.In this work the microstructure,mechanical properties and energy release characteristics of multi-element Ti-Zr-Ta alloys with good casting performance were studied.The microstructure of the Ti_(x)ZrTa alloys gradually change from BCC+HCP to single BCC structure with the increase of Ti.While the Ti_(2)Zr_(y)Ta alloys was still uniform and single BCC structure with the increase of Zr.The evolution of microstructure and composition then greatly affect the mechanical properties and energy-release characteristics of Ti-Zr-Ta alloys.The synergistic effect of dual phase structure increases the fracture strain of Ti_(x)ZrTa(x=0.2,0.5)with the Ti content decreases,while the fracture strain of Ti_(x)ZrTa(x=2.0,3.0,4.0)gradually increase with the Ti content increases caused by the annihilation of the obstacles for dislocation movement.And as Zr content increases,the fracture strain of Ti_(2)Zr_(y)Ta alloys decrease,then the oxidation reaction rate and fragmentation degree gradually increase.The higher oxidation rate and the lager exposed oxidation area jointly leads the higher releasing energy efficiency of Ti_(x)ZrTa alloys with low Ti content and Ti_(2)Zr_(y)Ta alloys with high Zr content.展开更多

In recent years,in order to improve the destructive effectiveness of munitions,the use of new types of destructive elements is an important way to improve destructive effectiveness.As a new type of reactive material,r...In recent years,in order to improve the destructive effectiveness of munitions,the use of new types of destructive elements is an important way to improve destructive effectiveness.As a new type of reactive material,reactive alloy contains a large portion of reactive metal elements(Al,Mg,Ti,Zr,etc.),which breaks up under high-velocity impact conditions,generating a large number of high-temperature combustible fragments,which undergo a violent combustion reaction with air.Compared with traditional metal polymers(Al-PTFE)and other reactive composites,it has higher density and strength,excellent mechanical properties and broader application prospects.Currently,researchers have mainly investigated the impact energy release mechanism of reactive alloys through impact tests,and found that there are several important stages in the process of the material from fragmentation to reaction,i.e.,impact fragmentation of the material,rapid heating and combustion reaction.This paper focuses on three problems that need to be solved in the impact-induced energy release process of reactive alloys,namely:the fragmentation mechanism and size distribution law of the fragments produced by the impact of the material on the target,the relationship between the transient temperatures and the size of the fragments,and the reaction temperatures and size thresholds of the fragments to undergo the chemical reaction.The current status of the research of the above problems is reviewed,some potential directions to reveal the impact induced reaction mechanism of reactive alloy is discussed.展开更多
Li-B alloy is expected to meet the expanding demands of energy storage,primarily driven by their high energydensity and structural stability.The fibrous porous skeleton can increase the electrochemical active area and...Li-B alloy is expected to meet the expanding demands of energy storage,primarily driven by their high energydensity and structural stability.The fibrous porous skeleton can increase the electrochemical active area and reduce thelocal current density,therefore diminishing the lithium dendrites.In this study,we prepared Li-B alloys with differentlithium contents and examined the impact of lithium content on the structure and electrochemical properties of Li-Balloys.With the increase of lithium content,the spacing between the skeleton of the Li-B alloys increases.The lithiumdeposition on the top of the skeleton decreases,leading to thinner SEI,and lower polarization.The Li-B alloy with thehighest lithium content(64 wt.%lithium content)in the symmetric battery exhibits the longest cycle time,lasting over140 h at 1 mA/cm^(2)and 0.5 mA·h/cm^(2),with a minimal overpotential of 0.08 V.When paired with LiNi_(0.5)Co_(0.2)Mn_(0.3)O_(2),thefull battery has the highest specific discharge capacity and the best rate capacity.展开更多

This comprehensive review examines r...In the realm of military and defence applications, exposure to radiation significantly challenges the performance and reliability of solder alloys and joints in electronic systems. This comprehensive review examines radiation-induced effects on solder alloys and solder joints in terms of microstructure and mechanical properties. In this paper, we evaluate the existing literature, including experimental studies and fundamental theory, to provide a comprehensive overview of the behavior of solder materials under radiation. A review of the literature highlights key mechanisms that contribute to radiation-induced changes in the microstructure, such as the formation of intermetallic compounds, grain growth,micro-voids and micro-cracks. Radiation is explored as a factor influencing solder alloy hardness,strength, fatigue and ductility. Moreover, the review addresses the challenges and limitations inherent in studying the effects of radiation on solder materials and offers recommendations for future research. It is crucial to understand radiation-induced effects on solder performance to design robust and radiationresistant electronic systems. A review of radiation effects on solder materials and their applications in electronics serves as a valuable resource for researchers, engineers, and practitioners in that field.展开更多
Microarc oxidation is an effective surface treatment for improving certain properties of metals and their alloys.In this paper,TiO_(2)/Cu_(2)O and TiO_(2)/Cu_(2)O@CeO_(2)coatings were prepared on Ti-6Al-4V by microarc...Microarc oxidation is an effective surface treatment for improving certain properties of metals and their alloys.In this paper,TiO_(2)/Cu_(2)O and TiO_(2)/Cu_(2)O@CeO_(2)coatings were prepared on Ti-6Al-4V by microarc oxidation.Thecoatings exhibited good corrosion resistance and antimicrobial properties.X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electronmicroscopy(SEM),and 3D laser confocal were used to characterize the coatings.The properties of TiO_(2)/Cu_(2)O and TiO_(2)/Cu_(2)O@CeO_(2)coatings were analyzed,including microstructure,surface roughness,corrosion resistance,andantimicrobial properties.The electrochemical results showed that the coatings prepared by microarc oxidation hadenhanced corrosion resistance compared to the substrate.The antibacterial properties of TiO_(2)/Cu_(2)O and TiO_(2)/Cu_(2)O@CeO_(2)coating against Pseudomonas aeruginosa were evaluated by fluorescence microscopy and plate counting.The antibacterial rate of TiO_(2)/Cu_(2)O@CeO_(2)coating was up to 99.70%.In summary,the TiO_(2)/Cu_(2)O and TiO_(2)/Cu_(2)O@CeO_(2)coatings prepared by microarc oxidation have a potential application background in the field of marine corrosionprotection and biofouling.展开更多
The process of preparing anodic oxide film containing active sites and electroless nickel plating on highly active rare earth magnesium alloy was developed.The formation mechanism of electroless nickel plating on acti...The process of preparing anodic oxide film containing active sites and electroless nickel plating on highly active rare earth magnesium alloy was developed.The formation mechanism of electroless nickel plating on active anodic oxide film and the structure and properties of the composite coating were studied by several surface and electrochemical techniques.The results showed that Ag nanograins with an average size of 10 nm were embedded into the anodic oxide film with pores of 0.1−2μm.Ag nanoparticles provided a catalytic site for the deposition of Ni-B alloy,and the Ni crystal nucleus was first grown in horizontal mode and then in cylindrical mode.The corrosion potential of the composite coating increased by 1.37 V and the corrosion current reduced two orders of magnitude due to the subsequent deposition of Ni-P alloy.The high corrosion resistance was attributed to the misaligning of these micro defects in the three different layers and the amorphous structure of the Ni-P alloy in the outer layer.These findings provide a new idea for electroless nickel plating on anodic oxide film.展开更多

文摘Li-B alloy is expected to meet the expanding demands of energy storage,primarily driven by their high energydensity and structural stability.The fibrous porous skeleton can increase the electrochemical active area and reduce thelocal current density,therefore diminishing the lithium dendrites.In this study,we prepared Li-B alloys with differentlithium contents and examined the impact of lithium content on the structure and electrochemical properties of Li-Balloys.With the increase of lithium content,the spacing between the skeleton of the Li-B alloys increases.The lithiumdeposition on the top of the skeleton decreases,leading to thinner SEI,and lower polarization.The Li-B alloy with thehighest lithium content(64 wt.%lithium content)in the symmetric battery exhibits the longest cycle time,lasting over140 h at 1 mA/cm^(2)and 0.5 mA·h/cm^(2),with a minimal overpotential of 0.08 V.When paired with LiNi_(0.5)Co_(0.2)Mn_(0.3)O_(2),thefull battery has the highest specific discharge capacity and the best rate capacity.

文摘In the realm of military and defence applications, exposure to radiation significantly challenges the performance and reliability of solder alloys and joints in electronic systems. This comprehensive review examines radiation-induced effects on solder alloys and solder joints in terms of microstructure and mechanical properties. In this paper, we evaluate the existing literature, including experimental studies and fundamental theory, to provide a comprehensive overview of the behavior of solder materials under radiation. A review of the literature highlights key mechanisms that contribute to radiation-induced changes in the microstructure, such as the formation of intermetallic compounds, grain growth,micro-voids and micro-cracks. Radiation is explored as a factor influencing solder alloy hardness,strength, fatigue and ductility. Moreover, the review addresses the challenges and limitations inherent in studying the effects of radiation on solder materials and offers recommendations for future research. It is crucial to understand radiation-induced effects on solder performance to design robust and radiationresistant electronic systems. A review of radiation effects on solder materials and their applications in electronics serves as a valuable resource for researchers, engineers, and practitioners in that field.

文摘Microarc oxidation is an effective surface treatment for improving certain properties of metals and their alloys.In this paper,TiO_(2)/Cu_(2)O and TiO_(2)/Cu_(2)O@CeO_(2)coatings were prepared on Ti-6Al-4V by microarc oxidation.Thecoatings exhibited good corrosion resistance and antimicrobial properties.X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electronmicroscopy(SEM),and 3D laser confocal were used to characterize the coatings.The properties of TiO_(2)/Cu_(2)O and TiO_(2)/Cu_(2)O@CeO_(2)coatings were analyzed,including microstructure,surface roughness,corrosion resistance,andantimicrobial properties.The electrochemical results showed that the coatings prepared by microarc oxidation hadenhanced corrosion resistance compared to the substrate.The antibacterial properties of TiO_(2)/Cu_(2)O and TiO_(2)/Cu_(2)O@CeO_(2)coating against Pseudomonas aeruginosa were evaluated by fluorescence microscopy and plate counting.The antibacterial rate of TiO_(2)/Cu_(2)O@CeO_(2)coating was up to 99.70%.In summary,the TiO_(2)/Cu_(2)O and TiO_(2)/Cu_(2)O@CeO_(2)coatings prepared by microarc oxidation have a potential application background in the field of marine corrosionprotection and biofouling.

文摘The process of preparing anodic oxide film containing active sites and electroless nickel plating on highly active rare earth magnesium alloy was developed.The formation mechanism of electroless nickel plating on active anodic oxide film and the structure and properties of the composite coating were studied by several surface and electrochemical techniques.The results showed that Ag nanograins with an average size of 10 nm were embedded into the anodic oxide film with pores of 0.1−2μm.Ag nanoparticles provided a catalytic site for the deposition of Ni-B alloy,and the Ni crystal nucleus was first grown in horizontal mode and then in cylindrical mode.The corrosion potential of the composite coating increased by 1.37 V and the corrosion current reduced two orders of magnitude due to the subsequent deposition of Ni-P alloy.The high corrosion resistance was attributed to the misaligning of these micro defects in the three different layers and the amorphous structure of the Ni-P alloy in the outer layer.These findings provide a new idea for electroless nickel plating on anodic oxide film.
