Negative Poisson ratio(NPR)steel is a new material with high strength and toughness.This study conducted tensile tests at elevated temperatures to investigate the mechanical properties of NPR steel at high temperatures.The stress−strain curve,ultimate strength,yield strength,modulus of elasticity,elongation after fracture,and percentage reduction of area of NPR steel bars were measured at 9 different temperatures ranging from 20 to 800℃.The experimental results indicate that high-temperature environments significantly affect the mechanical properties of NPR steel.However,compared to other types of steel,NPR steel exhibits better resistance to deformation.When the test temperature is below 700℃,NPR steel exhibits a ductile fracture characteristic,while at 800℃,it exhibits a brittle fracture characteristic.Finally,based on the experimental findings,a constitutive model suitable for NPR steel at high temperatures is proposed. 展开更多

To improve corrosion-resistance of shallow-buried concrete urban utility tunnels(UUTs),basalt fiber reinforced polymer(BFRP)bars are applied to reinforce UUTs.As the UUT must have excellent survival capability under accidental explosions,a shallow-buried BFRP bars reinforced UUT(BBRU)was designed and constructed.Repetitive blast experiments were carried out on this BBRU.Dynamic responses,damage evolutions and failure styles of the BBRU under repetitive explosions were revealed.The tunnel roof is the most vulnerable component and longitudinal cracks develop along the tunnel.When the scaled distance is larger than 1.10 m/kg1/3,no cracks are observed in the experiments.When the BBRU is severely damaged,there are five cracks forming and developing along the roof.The roof is simplified as a clamped-supported one-way slab,proved by the observation that the maximum strain of the transverse bar is much larger than that of the longitudinal bar.Dynamic responses of the roof slab are predicted by dynamic Euler beam theory,which can consistently predict the roof displacement under large-scaleddistance explosion.Compared with the UUT reinforced with steel bars,the BBRU has advantages in blast resistance with smaller deflections and more evenly-distributed cracks when the scaled distance is smaller than 1.260 m/kg1/3 and the steel bars enter plastic state.Longer elastic defamation of the BFRP bars endows the UUT more excellent blast resistance under small-scaled-distance explosions. 展开更多

In order to investigate the tensile bond anchorage properties of Australian 500N steel bars in concrete, 111 pullout tests were conducted. The precise bond slip values have been gained by using the laser displacement sensor with high resolution, including the complete bond-slip curves. How the main anchorage factors such as concrete strength, bar diameter (8, I0, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32 and 36 mm) the concrete covered, embedded length and transverse reinforcement influencing the bond anchorage properties was studied under tensile condition. The process of the tensile force-slip failure for Australian 500N reinforcing steel can be divided into five stages: elastic stage, local slip stage, slip in ascent stage, slip in descent stage and remnant stage. The formula for calculating the tensile bond strength of Australian 500N reinforcing bar in concrete was proposed according to the test results, including the consistent model for tensile bond-slip relationship. 展开更多

The plane structure of bars jointed to a rigid-body is a complex and universal structure.Some other structure of bars can be considered as its special cases. Many material have different stress-strain relation in tension and compression, generally the relation is nonlinear. In this paper,we use the constitutive model of linearly elastic and power hardening of strength difference to analyze plane structure of bars. The displacement method is used to derive the universal expression of calculating stress and strain. The nonlinear equations for computing displacements of the rigid-body has been given and general computing program has been worked out. This problem has been solved satisfactorily. 展开更多

介绍无压机分球式超高压装置(BARS——俄文的首字母БАРС=БеспрессоваяАппаратуравысокогодавления"РазрезнаяСфера")合成宝石级金刚石的基本原理,分析BARS装置用硬... 介绍无压机分球式超高压装置(BARS——俄文的首字母БАРС=БеспрессоваяАппаратуравысокогодавления"РазрезнаяСфера")合成宝石级金刚石的基本原理,分析BARS装置用硬质合金顶锤的功能特性,论述国产BARS装置用硬质合金顶锤成功工业化应用的研究过程。研究表明:选用WC-Co细颗粒复合粉,并采用搅拌球磨、冷等静压压制和低压烧结等综合技术,能提高细晶粒材料的组织结构均匀性、抗压强度及弹性模量,满足顶锤高强度、高刚性的使用需求。同时,采用在磨削中互为基准的工艺方案,控制产品上下同轴线是自定位顶锤合理的加工方案;选用粒度号M22/36的砂轮做精磨砂轮,合理的进刀量是保证加工精度的关键。 展开更多
