AI development has brought great success to upgrading the information age.At the same time,the large-scale artificial neural network for building AI systems is thirsty for computing power,which is barely satisfied by ...AI development has brought great success to upgrading the information age.At the same time,the large-scale artificial neural network for building AI systems is thirsty for computing power,which is barely satisfied by the conventional computing hardware.In the post-Moore era,the increase in computing power brought about by the size reduction of CMOS in very large-scale integrated circuits(VLSIC)is challenging to meet the growing demand for AI computing power.To address the issue,technical approaches like neuromorphic computing attract great attention because of their feature of breaking Von-Neumann architecture,and dealing with AI algorithms much more parallelly and energy efficiently.Inspired by the human neural network architecture,neuromorphic computing hardware is brought to life based on novel artificial neurons constructed by new materials or devices.Although it is relatively difficult to deploy a training process in the neuromorphic architecture like spiking neural network(SNN),the development in this field has incubated promising technologies like in-sensor computing,which brings new opportunities for multidisciplinary research,including the field of optoelectronic materials and devices,artificial neural networks,and microelectronics integration technology.The vision chips based on the architectures could reduce unnecessary data transfer and realize fast and energy-efficient visual cognitive processing.This paper reviews firstly the architectures and algorithms of SNN,and artificial neuron devices supporting neuromorphic computing,then the recent progress of in-sensor computing vision chips,which all will promote the development of AI.展开更多
Due to insufficiency of a platform based on experimental results for numerical simulation validation using computational fluid dynamic method(CFD) for different geometries and conditions,in this paper we propose a mod...Due to insufficiency of a platform based on experimental results for numerical simulation validation using computational fluid dynamic method(CFD) for different geometries and conditions,in this paper we propose a modeling approach based on the artificial neural network(ANN) to describe spatial distribution of the particles concentration in an indoor environment.This study was performed for a stationary flow regime.The database used to build the ANN model was deducted from bibliography literature and composed by 261 points of experimental measurement.Multilayer perceptron-type neural network(MLP-ANN) model was developed to map the relation between the input variables and the outputs.Several training algorithms were tested to give a choice of the Fletcher conjugate gradient algorithm(TrainCgf).The predictive ability of the results determined by simulation of the ANN model was compared with the results simulated by the CFD approach.The developed neural network was beneficial and easy to predict the particle dispersion curves compared to CFD model.The average absolute error given by the ANN model does not reach 5%against 18%by the Lagrangian model and 28% by the Euler drift-flux model of the CFD approach.展开更多
In the present paper,the hydrodynamic performance of stepped planing craft is investigated by computational fluid dynamics(CFD)analysis.For this purpose,the hydrodynamic resistances of without step,one-step,and two-st...In the present paper,the hydrodynamic performance of stepped planing craft is investigated by computational fluid dynamics(CFD)analysis.For this purpose,the hydrodynamic resistances of without step,one-step,and two-step hulls of Cougar planing craft are evaluated under different distances of the second step and LCG from aft,weight loadings,and Froude numbers(Fr).Our CFD results are appropriately validated against our conducted experimental test in National Iranians Marine Laboratory(NIMALA),Tehran,Iran.Then,the hydrodynamic resistance of intended planing crafts under various geometrical and physical conditions is predicted using artificial neural networks(ANNs).CFD analysis shows two different trends in the growth rate of resistance to weight ratio.So that,using steps for planing craft increases the resistance to weight ratio at lower Fr and decreases it at higher Fr.Additionally,by the increase of the distance between two steps,the resistance to weight ratio is decreased and the porpoising phenomenon is delayed.Furthermore,we obtained the maximum mean square error of ANNs output in the prediction of resistance to weight ratio equal to 0.0027.Finally,the predictive equation is suggested for the resistance to weight ratio of stepped planing craft according to weights and bias of designed ANNs.展开更多
