Analyses of the effects of some parameters were performed to determine the admittance functions in a common two-compartment building with background porosity by the imposed excitation method.Variations of the magnific...Analyses of the effects of some parameters were performed to determine the admittance functions in a common two-compartment building with background porosity by the imposed excitation method.Variations of the magnification factors of fluctuating internal pressures were analyzed using 96 model cases under random fluctuating external pressure,and then corresponding design equations were fitted.The results show that the Helmholtz resonance peaks of the admittance functions in both compartments increase with increasing the area of windward or partition wall opening.With increasing the volume of the compartment with an external opening,the resonance peak in this compartment at the higher Helmholtz frequency significantly decreases,at the same time,the resonance peak in the other compartment at the lower Helmholtz frequency also decreases.With increasing the volume of the compartment with background porosity,both resonance peaks in this compartment at the lower and higher Helmholtz frequencies decrease,meanwhile,the resonance peak at the lower Helmholtz frequency for the other compartment also decreases,whereas the resonance peak at the higher Helmholtz frequency increases.Both resonance peaks of the admittance functions in the two compartments decrease with increasing the amplitude of fluctuating external pressure coefficients or reference wind speed.展开更多

T...Determining the timing, magnitude, and location of deformation due to the Indo\|Asian collision is widely acknowledged as an important step in understanding how the lithosphere responds during continental collision. Thus a puzzling result of geological investigations of the Lhasa Block over the past two decades has been the apparent lack of significant Tertiary deformation there. Perhaps the most important structural feature of the Lhasa Block is the south\|directed Gangdese Thrust System, which developed along its southern edge. The thrust system, which separates the Andean\|type batholith of southern Asia from rocks of Indian affinity, is obscured at most locations across southeastern Tibet by backthrusts of the younger, north\|directed Renbu Zedong Thrust System. Current applications of drainage tunnel systems in China w...An optimal drainage tunnel location determination method for landslide prevention was proposed to solve the existing problems in drainage tunnel construction. Current applications of drainage tunnel systems in China were reviewed and the fimctions of drainage tunnel were categorized as catchment and interception. Numerical simulations were conducted. The results show that both catchment and interception tunnels have variation of the function in the simulation of monolayer model, which shows the reduction of permeability condition in lower layer. The function of catchment can be observed in the deep slope, while the function of interception is observed near groundwater source. By using the slope safety factor and discharge water amount as the objectives of optimal drainage tunnel location, and pore-water pressure in fixed node and section flux as the judgment for construction quality of adjacent drainage tunnel, the design principle of drainage tunnel was introduced. The K103 Landslide was illustrated as an example to determine the optimal drainage tunnel location. The measured drainage tunnel efficiency was evaluated and compared with that from the numerical analyses based on groundwater data. The results validate the present numerical study.展开更多
This study investigates and quantifies some possible sources affecting the position of impact points of small caliber spin-stabilized projectiles(such as 12.7 mm bullets).A comparative experiment utilizing the control...This study investigates and quantifies some possible sources affecting the position of impact points of small caliber spin-stabilized projectiles(such as 12.7 mm bullets).A comparative experiment utilizing the control variable method was designed to figure out the influence of tiny eccentric centroids on the projectiles.The study critically analyzes data obtained from characteristic parameter measurements and precision trials.It also combines Sobol’s algorithm with an artificial intelligence algorithmdAdaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference Systems(ANFIS)ein order to conduct global sensitivity analysis and determine which parameters were most influential.The results indicate that the impact points of projectiles with an entry angle of 0°deflected to the left to that of projectiles with an entry angle of 90°.The difference of the mean coordinates of impact points was about 12.61 cm at a target range of 200 m.Variance analysis indicated that the entry angleei.e.the initial position of mass eccentricityehad a notable influence.After global sensitivity analysis,the significance of the effect of mass eccentricity was confirmed again and the most influential factors were determined to be the axial moment and transverse moment of inertia(Izz Iyy),the mass of a projectile(m),the distance between nose and center of mass along the symmetry axis for a projectile(Lm),and the eccentric distance of the centroid(Lr).The results imply that the control scheme by means of modifying mass center(moving mass or mass eccentricity)is promising for designing small-caliber spin-stabilized projectiles.展开更多

In the pursuit of advancing imidazolium-based energetic ionic liquids (EILs),the current study is devoted to the synthesis and characterization of 1,3-dibutyl-imidazolium azide ([BBIm][N_(3)]),as a novel member in thi...In the pursuit of advancing imidazolium-based energetic ionic liquids (EILs),the current study is devoted to the synthesis and characterization of 1,3-dibutyl-imidazolium azide ([BBIm][N_(3)]),as a novel member in this ionic liquids class.The chemical structure of this EIL was rigorously characterized and confirmed using FTIR spectroscopy,1D,and 2D-NMR analyses.The thermal behavior assessment was conducted through DSC and TGA experiments.DSC analysis revealed an endothermic glass transition at T_(g)=-61℃,followed by an exothermic degradation event at T_(onset)=311℃.Similarly,TGA thermograms exhibited a one-stage decomposition process resulting in 100% mass loss of the sample.Furthermore,the short-term thermal stability of the azide EIL was investigated by combining the non-isothermal TGA data with the TAS,it-KAS,and VYA/CE isoconversional kinetic approaches.Consequently,the Arrhenius parameters(E_(a)=154 kJ·mol^(-1),Log(A/s^(-1))=11.8) and the most probable reaction model g(a) were determined.The observed high decomposition temperatures and the significantly elevated activation energy affirm the enhanced thermal stability of the modified EIL.These findings revealed that[BBIm][N_(3)]EIL can be a promising candidate for advanced energetic material application.展开更多

'Anomalous' here ...The anomalous nonlinear elastic, perfectly plastic response behaviors of circular plate subjected to short transverse pulse load is studied. The plate is assumed fixed-pin along the boundary. 'Anomalous' here means that the final deflection may be in the direction opposite that of the load. It has been found by detailed numerical analyses that there exists anomalous response in some narrow loading ranges, so called slots. By further calculations it is shown that this special dynamic behavior is related to coupling affects of internal forces and large plastic deformation after removal loading. Further plastic dissipation will be lead to anomalous dynamic response. This phenomena could be considered as the coupling of the geometry nonlinearity, material nonlinearity,elastic effects and the irrecoverable of the plastic deformation.展开更多

A new function that refle...In order to improve the efficiency of a geothermal power plant, oil wells in the high water cut stage were used as geothermal wells, thereby improving the recovery ratio and economic benefit. A new function that reflects both the technical and economic performances was put forward and used as the objective function. An organic Rankine cycle (ORC) was analyzed through the energetic and exergetic analyses, and the reasons for low efficiency were pinpointed. Results indicate that geothermal water directly transferring heat to the working fluid reduces energy dissipation and increases cycle efficiencies. The net power output with an internal heat exchanger (IHE) is averagely 5.3% higher than that without an IHE. R601a and R601 can be used to replace R123 for geothermal water below 110℃. Moreover, the modified ORC dramatically outperforms the actual one.展开更多

文摘The anomalous nonlinear elastic, perfectly plastic response behaviors of circular plate subjected to short transverse pulse load is studied. The plate is assumed fixed-pin along the boundary. 'Anomalous' here means that the final deflection may be in the direction opposite that of the load. It has been found by detailed numerical analyses that there exists anomalous response in some narrow loading ranges, so called slots. By further calculations it is shown that this special dynamic behavior is related to coupling affects of internal forces and large plastic deformation after removal loading. Further plastic dissipation will be lead to anomalous dynamic response. This phenomena could be considered as the coupling of the geometry nonlinearity, material nonlinearity,elastic effects and the irrecoverable of the plastic deformation.
文摘The high precision assemblies with considerable radial interference should be accompanied by heating and cooling processes.However,the mechanical properties of metals are greatly affected by thermal operations.So,for evaluating the stress distribution and distortion of teeth profiles in a gear/shaft assembly,a transient thermal analysis is necessary for finding the change in mechanical properties.The friction on the contact surface is another important parameter in interaction of the gear with the shaft.Evaluating the gear stress and deformation fields for several modes of heat transfer and friction coefficients showed that the maximum radial or tangential stresses on contact surface of the joint may have more than 8%increase by increasing friction coefficient;while the intensity of heat transfer at cooling stage has lower effect on stress distribution.

文摘In order to improve the efficiency of a geothermal power plant, oil wells in the high water cut stage were used as geothermal wells, thereby improving the recovery ratio and economic benefit. A new function that reflects both the technical and economic performances was put forward and used as the objective function. An organic Rankine cycle (ORC) was analyzed through the energetic and exergetic analyses, and the reasons for low efficiency were pinpointed. Results indicate that geothermal water directly transferring heat to the working fluid reduces energy dissipation and increases cycle efficiencies. The net power output with an internal heat exchanger (IHE) is averagely 5.3% higher than that without an IHE. R601a and R601 can be used to replace R123 for geothermal water below 110℃. Moreover, the modified ORC dramatically outperforms the actual one.
