Removal of siloxanes from biogas using acetylated silica gel as adsorbent 被引量:4

Biogas can be used as an alternative energy source for producing heat and electricity;however, volatile methylsiloxanes(VOSiC) present in biogas can severely damage heat exchangers, turbines and gas engines. Consequently, e cient removal of VOSiC from biogas that is used as a biofuel is required. In this work, acetylated silica gel(Ac@SG) was synthesized,via treatment of microporous silica gel(SG) with acetic anhydride as an adsorbent, for removal of VOSiC from biogas,and characterized with XRD, SEM–EDS, N2-BET and FT-IR. This Ac@SG adsorbent exhibited a meso-/microporous structure and hydrophobic surface, indicating it was a more e cient adsorbent for removing hexamethyldisiloxane(L2) and octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane(D4) from biogas samples than conventional SG. It was found that the adsorption capacities of Ac@SG reached 304 mg L2/g for hexamethyldisiloxane and 916 mg D4/g for octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane at lower temperatures in the experimental range, and water had no significant e ect on its absorption e ciency. The used Ac@SG could be easily regenerated by heating it at 110 °C, and the adsorption capacity of recycled Ac@SG for hexamethyldisiloxane and octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane was kept constant in four recycle adsorption experiments. 展开更多

Decay threshold of acetylated rattan (Calamus manan) against soft rot

We investigated the resistance of acetylated rattan against soft rot and other soil inhabiting micro-organisms in comparison with wood of beech and Scots pine. Calamus manan of 10 and 13 years old under rubber tree canopy was acetylated to different levels by reaction times (0.25 to 30 hours) and was tested for soft rot decay for 32 weeks. Acetylated rattan at decay protection thresholds of 15.4% and 16.2% weight gain (WG) were fully protected, as shown by both weight loss and strength loss criteria. The static bending properties of untreated rattan decayed by soft rot were significantly lower than for acetylated rattan. 展开更多

为提高速冻汤圆的食用品质,以乙酰化羟丙基糯玉米淀粉(acetylated hydroxypropyl waxy corn starch,AHWCS)作为品质改良剂,探究其对速冻汤圆的蒸煮、质构特性和感官品质的影响。结果表明,当添加质量分数为20%时,在蒸煮特性方面速冻汤圆... 为提高速冻汤圆的食用品质,以乙酰化羟丙基糯玉米淀粉(acetylated hydroxypropyl waxy corn starch,AHWCS)作为品质改良剂,探究其对速冻汤圆的蒸煮、质构特性和感官品质的影响。结果表明,当添加质量分数为20%时,在蒸煮特性方面速冻汤圆失重率为9.95%、蒸煮损失率为0.93%、冻裂率为13.33%,均为最低;汤汁透光率为7.43%,为最高。在质构特性方面,硬度、咀嚼性较低,质地松软,弹性最高。在感官品质方面,汤圆表面光滑、色泽鲜亮、口感柔软、有浓厚的糯米清香味,感官评分最高,为90.67分,汤圆品质最佳。因此,添加适当比例的AHWCS可有效改善速冻汤圆的品质,这为其在速冻食品中的应用提供了基础。 展开更多

Chinese bamboo flour was chemically modified by acetylation with acetic anhydride by using trichloroacetic acid as an activation agent and the optimized condition for acetylation of bamboo flour was determined as the trichloroacetic acid amount 6.0 g per 1.5-g bamboo flour, ultrasosonication duration 40 min and the reaction time 1 h at 65℃. The composition, microstructure and thermal behavior of acetylated bamboo flour were preliminarily characterized by FT-IR, DSC and SEM etc. The acetylated bamboo flour can be molded into sheets at 130℃ and 10 MPa, indicating the modified bamboo flour possesses thermalplastic performance. 展开更多

Formation of malignant tumor originating from normal healthy cell is a multistep process including genetic and epigenetic lesions. Previous studies of cell line model systems displayed that early important epigenetic events happened in stepwise fashion prior to cell immortalization. Once these epigenetic alterations are integrated into chromatin, they will perform vertical propagation through cell subculture. Hence, status of epigenetics is dramatically important in maintaining of cell identity. Histone modification is another factor of epigenetic alterations during human oncogenesis. Histones, one of main components of chromatin, can be modified post-translationally. Histone tail modifications are regulated by corresponding modification enzymes. This review focuses on the description of relationship between the main sites of histone modification and oncogenesis. 展开更多

Periploca sepium, Salix psammophila and Tamarix spp. make up an important part of the local vegetation in the sandland of China. This paper described a novel method on modification of the three shrub fibers as oil sorbents. Natural and modified fibers were chemically studied by non-destructive methods, infrared spectroscopy (IR) and cross-polarization nuclear magnetic resonance (CP-MAS ~3C-NMR). The results show that during the reaction with acetic anhydride under mild conditions, the use of N-bromoscciniamide (NBS) catalyst resulted in a high weight percent gain (WPG). The acetylation ofP sepium fiber gave rise to the highest WPG (20.0%) compared with S. psammophila and Tamarix spp. fiber. IR and CP-MAS ^13C-NMR analysis elaborates the chemical features of natural and acetylated willow fiber in detail. 展开更多
