Current status and diversity of fish resources in the Pinglu Canal Century Project

[Objective]The channel straightening project of the Pinglu Canal has fragmented the river course,compromising the integrity of original river course and causing ecosystem patchiness.Understanding the current status of fish resources and the characteristics of their diversity is crucial for the ecological management of the Pinglu Canal.[Methods]During the spring and autumn in 2021 and 2022,a survey of fish resources and species diversity in the Pinglu Canal was conducted using multi-mesh gill nets.A total of 125 fish species were collected,belonging to 10 orders,34 families,and 89 genera.[Results]The result showed that the Pinglu Canal contained three nationally protected Class II species,two endemic species of the Qinjiang River,three anadromous/migratory species,and eight invasive species,accounting for 2.4%,1.6%,2.4%,and 6.4%of the total species,respectively.The fish community primarily consisted of mid-and bottom-dwelling,adhesive-egg-laying,and omnivorous species.The Shannon-Wiener,Simpson,Margalef,and Pielou indices of the fish community in the Pinglu Canal ranged from 2.347 to 2.757,0.081 to 0.151,3.493 to 4.382,and 0.812 to 0.892,respectively.These indices showed relatively uniform distribution across different river reaches.[Conclusion]The result indicate that the fish community structure in the Pinglu Canal is relatively uniform.The reach from the Yujiang River to the Shaping River shows higher stability,while other river reaches experience moderate or severe disturbances.This study provides supplementary baseline data on the fish community structure in the Pinglu Canal and explores the potential impact of inter-basin connectivity on fish resources,aiming to provide a scientific basis for habitat restoration assessments after the channel straightening project. 展开更多

Resource management must attach importance to effective resource deployment.Aiming at the research of resource deployment system,firstly,as an important factor of resource deployment system,corporate technological innovation social responsibility(CISR)is analyzed.Based on this,this paper constructs a system dynamics model to analyze the changes in resource deployment system affected by CISR.The simulation model is developed using Venism personal learning edition(PLE).The results show that CISR,acted as a new factor affecting the resource deployment system,has a positive effect on resource deployment system performance.Moreover,when CISR exceeds the threshold value,the resource deployment system performance increases significantly faster,reflecting that the resource deployment system becomes more efficient.The results show that the method proposed in this paper is feasible and efficient.This research provides theoretical and practical implications for resource deployment system research. 展开更多

Fog computing has emerged as an important technology which can improve the performance of computation-intensive and latency-critical communication networks.Nevertheless,the fog computing Internet-of-Things(IoT)systems are susceptible to malicious eavesdropping attacks during the information transmission,and this issue has not been adequately addressed.In this paper,we propose a physical-layer secure fog computing IoT system model,which is able to improve the physical layer security of fog computing IoT networks against the malicious eavesdropping of multiple eavesdroppers.The secrecy rate of the proposed model is analyzed,and the quantum galaxy–based search algorithm(QGSA)is proposed to solve the hybrid task scheduling and resource management problem of the network.The computational complexity and convergence of the proposed algorithm are analyzed.Simulation results validate the efficiency of the proposed model and reveal the influence of various environmental parameters on fog computing IoT networks.Moreover,the simulation results demonstrate that the proposed hybrid task scheduling and resource management scheme can effectively enhance secrecy performance across different communication scenarios. 展开更多

An improved differential evolution(IDE)algorithm that adopts a novel mutation strategy to speed up the convergence rate is introduced to solve the resource-constrained project scheduling problem(RCPSP)with the objective of minimizing project duration Activities priorities for scheduling are represented by individual vectors and a senal scheme is utilized to transform the individual-represented priorities to a feasible schedule according to the precedence and resource constraints so as to be evaluated.To investigate the performance of the IDE-based approach for the RCPSP,it is compared against the meta-heuristic methods of hybrid genetic algorithm(HGA),particle swarm optimization(PSO) and several well selected heuristics.The results show that the proposed scheduling method is better than general heuristic rules and is able to obtain the same optimal result as the HGA and PSO approaches but more efficient than the two algorithms. 展开更多

A complex multiobjective RA is addressed, and a multiobjective mathematical model is used to find solutions efficiently. Then, all improved particie swarm algorithm (mO_PSO) is proposed combined with a new particle diversity controller policies and dissipation operation. Meanwhile, a modified Pareto methods used in PSO to deal with multiobjectives optimization is presented. The effectiveness of the provided algorithm is validated by its application to some illustrative example dealing with multiobjective RA problems and with the comparative experiment with other algorithm. 展开更多

Structural redundancy elimination in case resource pools (CRP) is critical for avoiding performance bottlenecks and maintaining robust decision capabilities in cloud computing services. For these purposes, this paper proposes a novel approach to ensure redundancy elimination of a reasoning system in CRP. By using α entropy and mutual information, functional measures to eliminate redundancy of a system are developed with respect to a set of outputs. These measures help to distinguish both the optimal feature and the relations among the nodes in reasoning networks from the redundant ones with the elimination criterion. Based on the optimal feature and its harmonic weight, a model for knowledge reasoning in CRP (CRPKR) is built to complete the task of query matching, and the missing values are estimated with Bayesian networks. Moreover, the robustness of decisions is verified through parameter analyses. This approach is validated by the simulation with benchmark data sets using cloud SQL. Compared with several state-of-the-art techniques, the results show that the proposed approach has a good performance and boosts the robustness of decisions. 展开更多

Resource allocation for an equipment development task is a complex process owing to the inherent characteristics,such as large amounts of input resources,numerous sub-tasks,complex network structures,and high degrees of uncertainty.This paper presents an investigation into the influence of resource allocation on the duration and cost of sub-tasks.Mathematical models are constructed for the relationships of the resource allocation quantity with the duration and cost of the sub-tasks.By considering the uncertainties,such as fluctuations in the sub-task duration and cost,rework iterations,and random overlaps,the tasks are simulated for various resource allocation schemes.The shortest duration and the minimum cost of the development task are first formulated as the objective function.Based on a multi-objective particle swarm optimization(MOPSO)algorithm,a multi-objective evolutionary algorithm is constructed to optimize the resource allocation scheme for the development task.Finally,an uninhabited aerial vehicle(UAV)is considered as an example of a development task to test the algorithm,and the optimization results of this method are compared with those based on non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm-II(NSGA-II),non-dominated sorting differential evolution(NSDE)and strength pareto evolutionary algorithm-II(SPEA-II).The proposed method is verified for its scientific approach and effectiveness.The case study shows that the optimization of the resource allocation can greatly aid in shortening the duration of the development task and reducing its cost effectively. 展开更多

Recently the integrated modular avionics (IMA) architecture which introduces the concept of resource partitioning becomes popular as an alternative to the traditional federated architecture. A novel hierarchical approach is proposed to solve the resource allocation problem for IMA systems in distributed environments. Firstly, the worst case response time of tasks with arbitrary deadlines is analyzed for the two-level scheduler. Then, the hierarchical resource allocation approach is presented in two levels. At the platform level, a task assignment algorithm based on genetic simulated annealing (GSA) is proposed to assign a set of pre-defined tasks to different processing nodes in the form of task groups, so that resources can be allocated as partitions and mapped to task groups. While yielding to all the resource con- straints, the algorithm tries to find an optimal task assignment with minimized communication costs and balanced work load. At the node level, partition parameters are optimized, so that the computational resource can be allocated further. An example is shown to illustrate the hierarchal resource allocation approach and manifest the validity. Simulation results comparing the performance of the proposed GSA with that of traditional genetic algorithms are presented in the context of task assignment in IMA systems. 展开更多

There are always large-scale items in the maintenances schedule of aircraft system, many of which have been fixed to be done in predefined sequences, which leads the workflow to be sys-tematically complex and makes this kind of problem quite different from all sorts of existing job-selection modes. On the other hand, the human resources are always limited and men have different working capabilities on different items, which make the allocation operation of human resources be much roomy. However, the final total time span of maintenance is often required to be as short as possible in many practices, in order to suffer only the lowest cost of loss while the system is stopping. A new model for op-timizing the allocation if aircraft maintenance human resources with the constraint of predefined sequence is presented. The ge-netic algorithm is employed to find the optimal solution that holds the shortest total time span of maintenance. To generate the ul-timate maintenance work items and the human resource array, the sequences among all maintenance work items are considered firstly, the work item array is then generated through traversal with the constraint of maintenance sequence matrix, and the human resources are finally allocated according to the work item array with the constraint of the maintenance capability. An example is demonstrated to show that the model and algorithm behave a satisfying performance on finding the optimal solution as expected. 展开更多

There are finish-start type precedence relations among the activities which require some kinds of renewable resources. We predigest the process of sol-ving the resource availability cost problem (RACP) by using start time of each activity to code the schedule. Then, a novel heuris-tic algorithm is proposed to make the process of looking for the best solution efficiently. And then pseudo particle swarm optimiza-tion (PPSO) combined with PSO and path relinking procedure is presented to solve the RACP. Final y, comparative computational experiments are designed and the computational results show that the proposed method is very effective to solve RACP. 展开更多

This paper generalizes the classic resource allocation problem to the resource planning and allocation problem, in which the resource itself is a decision variable and the cost of each activity is uncertain when the resource is determined. The authors formulate this problem as a two-stage stochastic programming. The authors first propose an efficient algorithm for the case with finite states. Then, a sudgradient method is proposed for the general case and it is shown that the simple algorithm for the unique state case can be used to compute the subgradient of the objective function. Unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) resource scheduling means to allocate and aggregate the available UAV resources depending on the mission requirements and the battlefield situation assessment.In previous studies,the models cannot reflect the mission synchronization;the targets are treated respectively,which results in the large scale of the problem and high computational complexity.To overcome these disadvantages,a model for UAV resource scheduling under mission synchronization is proposed,which is based on single-objective non-linear integer programming.And several cooperative teams are aggregated for the target clusters from the available resources.The evaluation indices of weapon allocation are referenced in establishing the objective function and the constraints for the issue.The scales of the target clusters are considered as the constraints for the scales of the cooperative teams to make them match in scale.The functions of the intersection between the "mission time-window" and the UAV "arrival time-window" are introduced into the objective function and the constraints in order to describe the mission synchronization effectively.The results demonstrate that the proposed expanded model can meet the requirement of mission synchronization,guide the aggregation of cooperative teams for the target clusters and control the scale of the problem effectively. 展开更多

The existing literature applie... How to allocate a resource efficiently and fairly attracts the attention of both researchers and practitioners. Data envelopment analysis(DEA) has been brought to bear on its solution. The existing literature applies Gini coefficient to measure the fairness in the resource allocation process. However, the Gini coefficient is inapplicable in many applications. This paper proposes a novel centralized resource allocation model based on DEA that considers both the efficiency and the fairness. This paper adopts a notion of fairness, namely α-fairness that is well studied in welfare economics and is of practical significance. The new model integratesα-fairness with DEA to support resource allocation decisions. It aids decision makers in making a trade-off between the efficiency and the fairness.
