Quantitative evaluation of water-flooded layers has become an important but difficult focus for secondary development of oilfields. In this paper, based on the analysis of current problems in quantitative evaluation of water-flooded layers, the Kexia Group conglomerate reservoir of the Sixth District in the Karamay Oilfield was studied. Eight types of conglomerate reservoir lithology were identified effectively by a data mining method combined with the data from sealed coring wells, and then a multi-parameter model for quantitative evaluation of the water-flooded layers of the main oil-bearing lithology was developed. Water production rate, oil saturation and oil productivity index were selected as the characteristic parameters for quantitative evaluation of water-flooded layers of conglomerate reservoirs. Finally, quantitative evaluation criteria and identification rules for water-flooded layers of main oil-bearing lithology formed by integration of the three characteristic parameters of water-flooded layer and undisturbed formation resistivity. This method has been used in evaluation of the water-flooded layers of a conglomerate reservoir in the Karamay Oilfield and achieved good results, improving the interpretation accuracy and compliance rate. It will provide technical support for avoiding perforation of high water-bearing layers and for adjustment of developmental programs.展开更多

This paper presents a novel approach to describing quantitatively the characteristics of connected macropores in unconsolidated sandstone reservoirs using in situ production data. Based on physical simulation for formation mechanisms of high capacity channels and interwell tracer test data, a mathematical model was established to describe high-capacity channels by grey correlation theory, flow mechanism of fluid in porous media and reservoir engineering, and a program was developed to describe quantitatively the channel characteristics. The predicted results were consistent with field monitoring data (80%), so this model could be economically and effectively used to identify high-capacity channels.展开更多

We designed a method for predicting/.S factors of a mining subsidence basin, using ana- lytical GIS spatial technology. Using the Huainan mining area as an example, we calculated the modulus of erosion, its volume and classified the grade of soil erosion for both the original area and the subsidence basin. The results show that the maximum modulus of erosion and the volume of erosion of the subsi- dence basin without water logging would increase by 78% and 23% respectively compared with the ori- ginal situation. The edge of the subsidence basin, where the land subsidence was uneven, is subject to the greatest acceleration in soil erosion. In the situation of water logging after subsidence, the maximum modulus of erosion would decrease if the accumulated slope length were reduced. This maximum mod- ulus around the water logged area within the subsidence basin is equal to that without water logging, while the total volume of erosion decreases. Therefore, mining subsidence aggravates soil erosion espe- cially at the edge of basins where water and soil conservation measures should be taken.展开更多

Based on the fracture parameters observed in cores and thin sections, the initial apertures of multiscale fractures are determined using the constraint method with a skewed distribution. Through calculations and statistical analyses of in situ stresses in combination with physical experiments on rocks, a numerical geomechanical model of the in situ stress field is established. The fracture opening ability under the in situ stress field is subsequently analyzed. Combining the fracture aperture data and areal fracture density at different scales, a calculation model is proposed for the prediction of multiscale and multiperiod fracture parameters, including the fracture porosity, the magnitude and direction of maximum permeability and the flow conductivity. Finally, based on the relationships among fracture aperture, density, and the relative values of fracture porosity and permeability, a fracture development pattern is determined.展开更多

The objective of this QRA/LDC study was to determine if current leak detection methodologies were sufficient, based on QRA results, while excluding the use of statistical leak detection; if not, an appropriate LDC for the leak detection system would need to be established. The famous UK PARLOC database was used for the calculation of pipeline failure rates, and the software POSVCM from MMS was used for oil spill simulations. QRA results revealed that the installation of a statistically based leak detection system (LDS) can significantly reduce time to leak detection, thereby mitigating the consequences of leakage. A sound LDC has been defined based on QRA study results and comments from various LDS vendors to assist the emergency response team (ERT) to quickly identify and locate leakage and employ the most effective measures to contain damage.展开更多

文摘The design of advanced binders plays a critical role in stabilizing the cycling performance of large-volume-effect silicon monoxide(SiO)anodes. For the classic polyacrylic acid(PAA)binder, the self-association of-COOH groups in PAA leads to the formation of intramolecular and intermolecular hydrogen bonds, greatly weakening the bonding force of the binder to SiO surface. However, strengthening the binder-material interaction from the perspective of binder molecular regulation poses a significant challenge.Herein,a modified PAA-Li_(x)(0.25≤x≤1)binder with prominent mechanical properties and adhesion strength is specifically synthesized for SiO anodes by quantitatively substituting the carboxylic hydrogen with lithium. The appropriate lithium substitution(x=0.25)not only effectively increases the number of hydrogen bonds between the PAA binder and SiO surface owing to charge repulsion effect between ions, but also guarantees moderate entanglement between PAA-Li_x molecular chains through the ion-dipole interaction. As such, the PAA-Li_(0.25)/SiO electrode exhibits exceptional mechanical properties and the lowest volume change,as well as the optimum cycling(1237.3 mA h g^(-1)after 100cycles at 0.1 C)and rate performance(1000.6 mA h g^(-1)at 1 C),significantly outperforming the electrode using pristine PAA binder. This work paves the way for quantitative regulation of binders at the molecular level.

文摘This study proposes a batch rapid quantitative analysis method for multiple elements by combining the advantages of standard curve(SC)and calibration-free laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy(CF-LIBS)technology to achieve synchronous, rapid, and accurate measurement of elements in a large number of samples,namely,SC-assisted CF-LIBS.Al alloy standard samples, divided into calibration and test samples, were applied to validate the proposed method.SC was built based on the characteristic line of Pb and Cr in the calibration sample, and the contents of Pb and Cr in the test sample were calculated with relative errors of 6%and 4%,respectively.SC built using Cr with multiple characteristic lines yielded better calculation results. The relative contents of ten elements in the test sample were calculated using CF-LIBS.Subsequently,the SC-assisted CF-LIBS was executed, with the majority of the calculation relative errors falling within the range of 2%-5%.Finally,the Al and Na contents of the Al alloy were predicted. The results demonstrate that it effectively enables the rapid and accurate quantitative analysis of multiple elements after a single-element SC analysis of the tested samples.Furthermore, this quantitative analysis method was successfully applied to soil and Astragalus samples, realizing an accurate calculation of the contents of multiple elements. Thus,it is important to advance the LIBS quantitative analysis and its related applications.

文摘The Ordovician fracture-vug carbonate reservoirs of Tarim Basin, are featured by developed vugs, caves and fractures. The strong heterogeneity results in huge uncertainty when these reservoirs are quantitatively characterized using merely static seismic data. The effective quantitative characterization of the reservoirs has been an urgent problem to be solved. This study creatively proposes the"second quantitative characterization"technique with the combination of dynamic and static data based on the primary static quantitative characterization and fully considering lots of key influence factors when conducting characterization. In this technique, dynamic analysis methods such as well testing, production rate transient analysis, dynamic reserve evaluation and dynamic connectivity evaluation are used to get understandings on this kind of reservoir. These understandings are used as statistical parameters to constrain the inversion of seismic wave impedance to improve the relationship between wave impedance and porosity and determine the fracture-vug morphology, calculate dynamic reserves, and then a more accurate fracture-vugmodel can be selected and used to calculate the oil-water contact inversely based on the results of"second quantitative characterization".This method can lower the uncertainties in the primary quantitative characterization of fracture-vug reservoirs, enhance the accuracy of characterization results significantly, and has achieved good application results in the fracture-vug carbonate reservoirs of Tarim Basin.
文摘The rapid changing near source, multi-stream depositional environment of conglomerate reservoirs leads to severe heterogeneity, complex lithology and physical properties, and large changes of oil layer resistivity. It will provide technical support for avoiding perforation of high water-bearing layers and for adjustment of developmental programs.
文摘Quantitative description of the high-capacity channels in unconsolidated sandstone reservoirs, into which water was injected to improve oil recovery, is a hot topic in the field of reservoir development. The predicted results were consistent with field monitoring data (80%), so this model could be economically and effectively used to identify high-capacity channels.

文摘The coal strength and deformation properties are key factors affecting safe coal mining and highefficiency coalbed methane(CBM)development. In this paper, reconstituted coal samples are chosen to investigate the weakening behavior of gas on coal strength, meanwhile, its effects on coal deformation are quantitatively evaluated. The results indicate that the weakening degree of gas on coal strength is closely related to the confining stress and gas pressure.Compared with non-gas-saturated coals, the maximum weakening ratios of adsorbed gas to coal strength are 10.58%,18.12%,8.55%and 14.65%under the conditions of confining stress CS=3 MPa and gas pressure GP=1 MPa,CS=3 MPa and GP=2 MPa,CS=4 MPa and GP=1 MPa,and CS=4 MPa and GP=2 MPa,respectively.Furthermore, the maximum weakening ratios of free gas to coal strength are 18.27%,36.54%,14.79%and 29.58%,respectively,under above four conditions. The maximum coal bulk strain decreases as particle sizes of coal powders increase, and it has a maximum value of 0.0227 and a minimum value of 0.0191 in particle size ranges of 0.01–0.041 and 0.5–1 mm.Under the same conditions, the coal bulk strain increases with increasing gas pressure, revealing that coal deformation properties can be enhanced by gas.

文摘The carbon content of bituminous coal samples was analyzed by laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy. The 266 nm laser radiation was utilized for laser ablation and plasma generation in air. The partial least square method and the dominant factor bused PLS method were used to improve the measurement accuracy of the carbon content of coal. The results showed that the PLS model could achieve good measurement accuracy, and the dominant factor based PLS model could further improve the measurement accuracy. The coefficient of determination and the root-mean-square error of prediction of the PLS model were 0.97 and 2.19%, respectively; and those values for the dominant factor based PLS model were 0.99 and 1.51%, respectively. The results demonstrated that the 266 nm wavelength could accurately measure the carbon content of bituminous coal.

文摘Korean pine(Pinus koraiensis) and broadleaved mixed forest in Northeast China has been changed regressively into secondary forest with almost no conifers.Planting Korean pine trees under the canopy of secondary forest is a feasible approach for recovering Korean pine and broadleaved mixed forest. For establishing an effective growth promotion method for under-canopy planted young Korean pine trees, two stands were selected as the experiment plots,Stand A(planted in 1989) and Stand B(planted in 1982),and an experiment of microenvironment regulation was conducted relying mainly on Opening degree(K=1,K=1.5,K=2,CK) in 2004.The results were shown that the adjustment had promoted growth of diameter and height of Korean pine planted in Stand A and Stand B,and had a significant influence on the growth rate of basal diameter, diameter at breast height and height in the two growth stands. The four years periodic increment of mean diameter and height of Korean pine planted in 1989 and in 1982 after regulation in K=1 level were 63.4%(D0) and 82.7%(H),64.8%(D1.3) and 69.7%(H) higher than that of control respectively.Quantitative regulation had significant influence on specific leaf area of Korean pine planted in 1989,and the current year specific leaf area(SLA) was lager than perennial year SLA.Quality indexes of natural pruning capacity, normal form quotient and crown size was not significantly changed but shown a positive tendency. The regulation scheme of Opening degree K=1 might be proper for adjusting the microenvironment of Korean pine trees planted under the canopy of secondary forest when the Korean pine trees were in the growth period of 15 to 26 years old in the experiment region.

文摘Based on a RUSLE model, we identified the key factors of the impact on soil erosion induced by coal min- ing subsidence. Therefore, mining subsidence aggravates soil erosion espe- cially at the edge of basins where water and soil conservation measures should be taken.

文摘In the spectral analysis of laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy, abundant characteristic spectral lines and severe interference information exist simultaneously in the original spectral data. Here,a feature selection method called recursive feature elimination based on ridge regression(Ridge-RFE)for the original spectral data is recommended to make full use of the valid information of spectra. In the Ridge-RFE method, the absolute value of the ridge regression coefficient was used as a criterion to screen spectral characteristic, the feature with the absolute value of minimum weight in the input subset features was removed by recursive feature elimination(RFE),and the selected features were used as inputs of the partial least squares regression(PLS)model. The Ridge-RFE method based PLS model was used to measure the Fe,Si,Mg,Cu,Zn and Mn for 51 aluminum alloy samples, and the results showed that the root mean square error of prediction decreased greatly compared to the PLS model with full spectrum as input. The overall results demonstrate that the Ridge-RFE method is more efficient to extract the redundant features, make PLS model for better quantitative analysis results and improve model generalization ability.

文摘In this paper, the analysis of faults with different scales and orientations reveals that the distribution of fractures always develops toward a higher degree of similarity with faults, and a method for calculating the multiscale areal fracture density is proposed using fault-fracture self-similarity theory. Finally, based on the relationships among fracture aperture, density, and the relative values of fracture porosity and permeability, a fracture development pattern is determined.

文摘Fuzzy mathematics is an important means to quantitatively evaluate the properties of fault sealing in petroleum reservoirs. To accurately study fault sealing, the comprehensive quantitative evaluation method of fuzzy mathematics is improved based on a previous study.First, the single-factor membership degree is determined using the dynamic clustering method, then a single-factor evaluation matrix is constructed using a continuous grading function, and finally, the probability distribution of the evaluation grade in a fuzzy evaluation matrix is analyzed. In this study, taking the F1 fault located in the northeastern Chepaizi Bulge as an example, the sealing properties of faults in different strata are quantitatively evaluated using both an improved and an un-improved comprehensive fuzzy mathematics quantitative evaluation method.Based on current oil and gas distribution,it is found that our evaluation results before and after improvement are significantly different. For faults in"best"and"poorest"intervals, our evaluation results are consistent with oil and gas distribution. However, for the faults in"good"or"poor"intervals, our evaluation is not completelyconsistent with oil and gas distribution. The improved evaluation results reflect the overall and local sealing properties of target zones and embody the nonuniformity of fault sealing, indicating the improved method is more suitable for evaluating fault sealing under complicated conditions.

文摘An experimental setup has been designed and realized in order to optimize the characteristics of laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy system working in various pressure environments. An approach combined the normalization methods with the partial least squares(PLS) method are developed for quantitative analysis of molybdenum(Mo) element in the multi-component alloy, which is the first wall material in the Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak. In this study, the different spectral normalization methods(total spectral area normalization, background normalization, and reference line normalization) are investigated for reducing the uncertainty and improving the accuracy of spectral measurement. The results indicates that the approach of PLS based on inter-element interference is significantly better than the conventional PLS methods as well as the univariate linear methods in the various pressure for molybdenum element analysis.
文摘A quantitative risk assessment (QRA) based on leak detection criteria (LDC) for the design of a proposed subsea oil export pipeline is presented in this paper. A sound LDC has been defined based on QRA study results and comments from various LDS vendors to assist the emergency response team (ERT) to quickly identify and locate leakage and employ the most effective measures to contain damage.

文摘Betavoltaic cells(BCs)are promising self-generating power cells with long life and high power density. However, the low energy conversion efficiency(ECE)has limitations in practical engineering applications.Widebandgap semiconductors(WBGSs)with three-dimensional(3-D)nanostructures are ideal candidates for increasing the ECE of BCs.This paper proposes hydrothermally grown ZnO nanorod arrays(ZNRAs)for ^(63)Ni-powered BCs.A quantitative model was established for simulation using the parameter values of the dark characteristics, which were obtained from the experimental measurements for a simulated BC based on a Ni-incorporated ZNRAs structure.Monte Carlo(MC)modeling and simulation were conducted to obtain the values of the β energy deposited in ZNRAs with different nanorod spacings and heights.Through the simulation and optimization of the 3-D ZNRAs and 2-D ZnO bulk structures, the performance of the ^(63)Ni-powered BCs based on both structures was evaluated using a quantitative model. The BCs based on the 3-D ZNRAs structure and 2-D ZnO bulk structure achieved a maximum ECE of 10.1%and 4.69%,respectively,which indicates the significant superiority of 3-D nanostructured WBGSs in increasing the ECE of BCs.
