Traditional manufacturing processes for lightweight curved profiles are often associated with lengthy procedures,high costs,low efficiency,and high energy consumption.In order to solve this problem,a new staggered ext...Traditional manufacturing processes for lightweight curved profiles are often associated with lengthy procedures,high costs,low efficiency,and high energy consumption.In order to solve this problem,a new staggered extrusion(SE)process was used to form the curved profile of AZ31 magnesium alloy in this paper.The study investigates the mapping relationship between the curvature,microstructure,and mechanical properties of the formed profiles by using different eccentricities of the die.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and electron backscatter diffraction techniques are employed to examine the effects of different eccentricity values(e)on grain morphology,recrystallization mechanisms,texture,and Schmid factors of the products.The results demonstrate that the staggered extrusion method promotes the deep refinement of grain size in the extruded products,with an average grain size of only 15%of the original billet,reaching 12.28μm.The tensile strength and elongation of the curved profiles after extrusion under the eccentricity value of 10 mm,20 mm and 30 mm are significantly higher than those of the billet,with the tensile strength is increased to 250,270,235 MPa,and the engineering strain elongation increased to 10.5%,12.1%,15.9%.This indicates that staggered extrusion enables curvature control of the profiles while improving their strength.展开更多
This article investigates a multi-circular path-following formation control with reinforced transient profiles for nonholonomic vehicles connected by a digraph.A multi-circular formation controller endowed with the fe...This article investigates a multi-circular path-following formation control with reinforced transient profiles for nonholonomic vehicles connected by a digraph.A multi-circular formation controller endowed with the feature of spatial-temporal decoupling is devised for a group of vehicles guided by a virtual leader evolving along an implicit path,which allows for a circumnavigation on multiple circles with an anticipant angular spacing.In addition,notice that it typically imposes a stringent time constraint on time-sensitive enclosing scenarios,hence an improved prescribed performance control(IPPC)using novel tighter behavior boundaries is presented to enhance transient capabilities with an ensured appointed-time convergence free from any overshoots.The significant merits are that coordinated circumnavigation along different circles can be realized via executing geometric and dynamic assignments independently with modified transient profiles.Furthermore,all variables existing in the entire system are analyzed to be convergent.Simulation and experimental results are provided to validate the utility of suggested solution.展开更多

In order to effectively improve meshing performance of spiral bevel and hypoid gears generated by the duplex helical method, the effects of straight lined and circular cutting edges profile on meshing and contact of s...In order to effectively improve meshing performance of spiral bevel and hypoid gears generated by the duplex helical method, the effects of straight lined and circular cutting edges profile on meshing and contact of spiral bevel and hypoid gears were investigated analytically. Firstly, a mathematical model of spiral bevel and hypoid gears with circular blade profile was established according to the cutting characteristics of the duplex helical method. Based on a hypoid gear drive, the tooth bearings and the functions of transmission errors of four design cases were analyzed respectively by the use of the tooth contact analysis(TCA), and the contact stresses of the four design cases were analyzed and compared using simulation software. Finally, the curvature radius of the circular profile blade was optimized. The results show that the contact stresses are availably reduced, and the areas of edge contact and severe contact stresses can be avoided by selecting appropriate circular blade profile. In addition, the convex and concave sides are separately modified by the use of different curvature radii of inside and outside blades, which can increase the flexibility of the duplex helical method.展开更多

To tackle these issues, a novel target recognition method is designed, denoted by the multiple support vectors (multi-SV) method. With the proposed method, a special framework is constructed by a treble correlate support vector model to segment the feature space to two regions with the distribution of density, and then the description and classification hyperplane for each region are achieved. Based on the support vector framework, this method needs less memory and computation complexity to fit practical radar HRRP recognition. The roll contour pattern and variety of work and backup rolls in service and its effect on profile and flatness control performance in 1 700 mm hot strip mill at Wuhan Iron and Steel(Group) Corporation were tested and...The roll contour pattern and variety of work and backup rolls in service and its effect on profile and flatness control performance in 1 700 mm hot strip mill at Wuhan Iron and Steel(Group) Corporation were tested and analyzed by the developed finite element models of different typical roll contours configurations.A rather smooth local work roll contour near strip edges and an increase in rolled length can be obtained by application of long stroke work roll shifting system with conventional work roll contours that is incapable of the crown control.In comparison with the conventional backup and work roll contours configuration,the crown control range by the roll bending force enhances by 12.79% and the roll gap stiffness increases by 25.26% with the developed asymmetry self-compensating work rolls(ASR) and varying contact backup rolls(VCR).A better strip profile and flatness quality,an increase in coil numbers within the rolling campaign and a significant alleviated effect of severe work roll wear contours on performance of edge drop control are achieved by the application of ASR with crown control and wear control ability in downstream stand F5 and VCR in all stands of 1 700 mm hot strip mill.展开更多
