Petroleum asphalt,an important by-product of the petrochemical industry,has diverse applications but often suffers from low industrial added value.Because of its low cost,high carbon content,and high polycyclic aromat...Petroleum asphalt,an important by-product of the petrochemical industry,has diverse applications but often suffers from low industrial added value.Because of its low cost,high carbon content,and high polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon content,appropriate modification can increase its value and expand its energy storage applications.Current research progress on the common preparation methods of petroleum asphalt-based carbon materials,including template-assisted pyrolysis,molten salt treatment,activation,heteroatom doping,and pre-oxidation is reviewed,and its use in supercapacitors and alkali metal ion batteries,is also elaborated.Feasible solutions for the current problems with petroleum asphalt are proposed,with the aim of providing insights into its high value-added utilization.展开更多

To adapt to modern war in high-tech conditions, the petroleum equipment have to develop towards higher reliability, adaptability, maneuverabil ity, standardization, container and cell type with versatile multi-functions. As a new design theory and design process, concurrent engineering may prod uce remarkable benefit when applying to product development. With the aid of the state-of-the-art modeling and simulation technology, it foresees the future or even the whole life cycle of the products designed. Based on wide statistics and survey, the product design period is reduced by 1/2~1/3 with concurrent des i gn process. Here we present a simple yet effective gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)identification approach for the detection of heteroatom-containing compounds(HACCs)in petroleum fractions.The MS/AMDIS(Automated Mass S...Here we present a simple yet effective gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)identification approach for the detection of heteroatom-containing compounds(HACCs)in petroleum fractions.The MS/AMDIS(Automated Mass Spectral Deconvolution and Identification System)program was used to identify parts per million(ppm)HACC concentrations in petroleum fractions in place of traditional techniques(extraction and standard injection).Polycyclic aromatic sulfur heterocycles(S-PAHs)were used as model compounds to confirm the validity of the AMDIS identifiers,which were compared with extracted results using the off-line X-calibur software.AMDIS was able to identify ppm concentrations of S-PAHs in oil condensate.There was good agreement between experimental and AMDIS identification results for S-PAHs in oil condensate.AMDIS was also used to detect nitrogen-containing compounds(NCCs)and alkylphenols in oil condensate.Our results confirmed the presence of 2-methylbenzothiazole,carbazole,and 2,4-ditertbutyl phenol.In a crude oil sample,AMDIS identification of m/z=191 biomarkers wa s consistent with empirical results.Therefore,AMDIS can help to reduce the number of experimental steps in identification protocols.展开更多
In order to solve the failure of fuel system when using petroleum coke oil slurry (PCOS) in a R180 diesel engine directly,a petroleum coke oil slurry fuel system (PCOSFS) was developed and installed in R180 engine,whi...In order to solve the failure of fuel system when using petroleum coke oil slurry (PCOS) in a R180 diesel engine directly,a petroleum coke oil slurry fuel system (PCOSFS) was developed and installed in R180 engine,which was called PCOS engine.In order to analyze performances and emissions of the PCOS engine,a comparative experiment between PCOS engine fueled with PCOS and R180 engine fueled with diesel oil was carried out.The results show that the PCOS engine can run smoothly,the maximum output power decreases by about 6.2% and 19.0% and the maximum brake thermal efficiency reduces by around 5.85% and 4.13% as compared to R180 engine under the conditions of 1 200 and 1 600 r/min.The HC emissions of PCOS engine are lower than those of R180 engine at 1 200 r/min,and are close to those of R180 engine at 1 600 r/min.The CO emissions are similar to R180 engine at 1 200 and 1 600 r/min.The smoke intensity is close to R180 engine at 1 200 r/min,and is higher than R180 engine at 1 600 r/min.The particles emitted from PCOS engine array sparsely,but particles emitted from R180 engine array closely,cohering together.展开更多

The enhancements of the thermomechanical performance of bulk diamond compacts in terms of hardness, fracture toughness, wea...We perform synthesis, characterization, and application of nanostructured diamond composites. The enhancements of the thermomechanical performance of bulk diamond compacts in terms of hardness, fracture toughness, wear resistance, impact strength, and thermal stability are our project objectives. It is to aim at applying an advanced nanosynthesis process for the manufac-turing of superhard and ultratough diamond/SiC nanocomposites with the implementation of nanofiber reinforcement. The R&D re-sults can be used in multi-industrial applications, particularly, for drill bits designed to encounter dynamic impacts for high speed oil/gas drillings, thus to achieve high efficiency and energy saving. Science and technology (S&T) researches on precursors, cata-lyst, reactive sintering, and in-situ/real-time characterization of high P-T neutron/X-ray diffraction studies on phase stability, syn-thesis kinetics, residual strain, and yield strength have been applied to help optimizing the nanomanufacturing process. Our R&D ef-fort in high P-T nanosynthesis of TSP diamond/SiC composites is to achieve superior performance of nanomechanics in resisting dy-namic impact and thermal degradation, while still maintaining the super-hardness and super-abrasiveness of diamond and silicon-car-bide. The improved polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC) bit inserts for drilling, boring, and cutting will be applied in harsh envi-ronments so as to meet the demands of the mining, petroleum, and machinery industries. With success of the proposed project, the expected energy savings and reduction of CO2 emission will be significant and the economic advantages are going to be enormous.展开更多
The Grains containing Oil Inclusions(GOI)data in currently gas/condensate-beating Jurassic and Cretaceous reservoir sandstones of Well Pen 5(the Mosuowan area of central Junggar Basin,NW China)are generally greater th...The Grains containing Oil Inclusions(GOI)data in currently gas/condensate-beating Jurassic and Cretaceous reservoir sandstones of Well Pen 5(the Mosuowan area of central Junggar Basin,NW China)are generally greater than the empirical threshold line of 5%.This is consistent with the gas-condensate section originally containing a palaeo-oil column.In order to assess the origin of the oil trapped in the oil inclusion and its relationship to the free oil/gas-condensate,a detailed molecular geochemical study was carried out for correlation between the free and inclusion oils.The paleo oil is most likely sourced from the Lower Permian Fengeheng Formation,which generated hydrocarbons primarily during Late Triassic and the oils were later secondarily altered and dysmigrated along faults likely during Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous.In contrast,the current reservoired oil/gas-condensate mainly derived from the Middle Permian Lower Wuerhe Formation,whose peak generation time last from Late Cretaceous even to the present.This paper showed that integrated oil-bearing fluid inclusion analyses have likely allowed a complex multi-phase charge history to be recognized and resolved with a high degree of confidence.展开更多

Inspired by earlier western studies on the theme of enforcement style,this article proposes a creative dimension for analyzing enforcement styles. It is suggested that enforcement styles comprise the degree of formalism,the degree of coercion,and the degree of willingness to enforcement. The second contribution is in showing the relationship of different types of enforcement styles to the three dimensions. In addition,we analyze the enforcement styles in the sector of pollution control of petroleum industry based on the refined hypothesize and draw out lessons to be learnt.展开更多
