Oxides exist at the edge of tunnel hole and in the micropores in the joint. Based on distribution of oxygen and material flow behavior, it is believed that the oxides on the surface of the alloy tend to flow down into the bulk along the flow direction of plastic material during friction stir welding, aggregate in the weak region of material flow at the intersection of the shoulder affected zone and the stir pin-tip affected zone, and consequently prevent the material from contacting and diffusing. Due to the insufficient material flow and therefore the small plastic deformation, the pressure is not high enough to compress the accumulated oxides, resulting in hole defects.展开更多

The results show that the increasing amount of alkali oxides in the glass causes the decrease of [SiO4], which results in the decrease of the continuity of glass network, and leads to the decrease of the softening temperature Tf of the samples and the increasing trend of crystallization. And that deduces corresponding rise of densification, dielectric constant, dielectric loss of the low temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) materials and the decrease of its thermal conductivity. 文摘The effects of alkali oxides (Na2O and K2O addition on both the sintering behavior and dielectric properties of Ca-AI-B-Si-O glass/Al2O3 composites were investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), X-ray diffractometry (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). By contrast, the borosilicate glass/A1203 composites with 1.5% (mass fraction) alkali oxides sintered at 875 ℃ for 30 rain exhibit better properties of a bulk density of 2.79 g/cm3, a porosity of 0.48%, a 2 value of 2.28 W/(m.K), a er value of 7.82 and a tand value of 9.1 × 10-4 (measured at 10 MHz).

文摘An investigation of hydrotalcite-derived ternary Mg-Al-Ce oxides as catalysts for vapour phase condensation of ethanol to 1-butanol in a flow reactor under atmospheric pressure was carried out.The Mg-Al-Ce oxide systems with Mg/(Al+Ce)ratio from 1 to 4 were synthesized and characterized by XRD,SEM,NMR,and XPS.The study of acid-base characteristics of the systems with different Mg/(Al+Ce)ratio by NH3/CO_(2)quasi-equilibrium thermal desorption techniques shows that the ratio of the catalyst oxide components(Mg,Al,Ce)can provide acid/base capacity ratio close to 3 for the effectivity of the target process. The highest selectivity 68%is reached over Mg-Al-Ce oxide catalyst with the ratio of Mg/(Al+Ce)=2.

文摘With sol-gel method, nanometer La-Ti composite oxides were prepared.By means of atomic force microscope, the surface pattern, particle size distribution and specific surface area were studied. The newly prepared nanocrystals of La-Ti composite oxides were used as the catalysts to catalyze the dehydration of external compensated lactic acid to lactide. The lactide product was measured by polarimeter and micropolariscope. The results demonstrate that the ratio between D-lactide and L-lactide will not be equal to 1-1 if nanocrystals of La-Ti composite oxides are used as the catalysts, which implies, that nanocrystals of La-Ti composite oxides may be potential catalysts with a good selectivity.

文摘The pyrochlore supergroup natural minerals are the oxides for formula A2-xB2O7. In this formula, A typically is Ca, Na, TR, Ba, Fe and Mn cation. B is Ta, Ti, Nb, W, Sb. The pyrochlore supergroup is divided into five groups basis of the atomic proportions of the B-site atoms Nb, Ta, Sb, Ti, and W. They are pyrochlore, microlite, roméite, betafite, and elsmoreite, respectively. Some of these minerals containing rare-earth elements species or synthetic oxides have important applications in materials, as for optical materials, light catalyst materials, magnetoelectric materials and radioactive waste treatment etc.
文摘A new type of saddle field ion gun has been developed in our laboratories, and it can emit ions and a large proportion of energetic neutrals. The ion gun has been used in the neutral and ion impact radiation (NIIR) spectrometer to decrease the effect of charge accumulation on the surfaces of specimens. Some metals, including aluminium, copper and nickel and their oxides had been analysed by NIIR. By comparing the intensities of the spectral lines of the above metals and their oxides the intensification effect due to oxidation had been found. The ratio of intensities between Al I(3962(?)) for Al2O3 and Al I (3962(?)) for Al is 120, so the effect can be seen clearly from the above experimental results. The mechanism of the intensification effect has been discussed in the paper.

文摘Ti-6Al-4V alloy powder was prepared through a two-step reduction of a mixture of TiO_(2),V_(2)O_(5) and Al_(2)O_(3) in this study. The oxide mixture was first reduced by Mg in MgCl_(2) at 750℃ in argon, where oxygen was reduced to 2.47 wt%from 40.02 wt%.The oxygen content in the final powder was eventually reduced to an extremely low level(0.055 wt%)using calcium at 900℃ in argon, and the final powder had the composition of 90.12 wt%Ti,5.57 wt%Al,and 3.87 wt%V,which meets the standard specification of Ti-6Al-4V(ASTM F1108-09).Between the two reductions,a heat treatment step was designed to help controlling the specific surface area and particle size. The effect of the heat treatment temperature on the morphology, and composition uniformity of the powder was investigated in detail.Heat treatment above 1300℃ attributed to a dense powder with a controlled specific surface area.Thermodynamic modeling and experimental results indicated that onlyα-Ti enriched with Al andβ-Ti enriched with V exist in the final powder, and other possible phases including Al-Mg and Al-V were excluded. This study also offers a triple-step thermochemical process for producing high-purity Ti-based alloy powder.
文摘A series of alumina supported cobalt oxide based catalysts doped with noble metals such as ruthenium and platinum were prepared by wet impregnation method. The variables studied were difference ratio and calcination temperatures.Pt/Co(10∶90)/Al2O3 catalyst calcined at 700 ℃ was found to be the best catalyst which able to convert 70.10% of CO2 into methane with 47% of CH4 formation at maximum temperature studied of 400 ℃.X-ray diffraction analysis showed that this catalyst possessed the active site Co3O4 in face-centered cubic and PtO2 in the orthorhombic phase with Al2O3 existed in the cubic phase.According to the FESEM micrographs, both fresh and spent Pt/Co(10∶90)/Al2O3 catalysts displayed small particle size with undefined shape.Nitrogen Adsorption analysis showed that 5.50% reduction of the total surface area for the spent Pt/Co(10∶90)/Al2O3 catalyst.Meanwhile,Energy Dispersive X-ray analysis(EDX) indicated that Co and Pt were reduced by 0.74% and 0.14% respectively on the spent Pt/Co(10∶90)/Al2O3catalyst.Characterization using FT-IR and TGA-DTA analysis revealed the existence of residual nitrate and hydroxyl compounds on the Pt/Co(10∶90)/Al2O3 catalyst.

文摘A series of spinel Li-Mn-Ni composite oxides with theoretical chemical formula of LiNixMn2-xO4 (0〈_x〈_1.0) were synthesized by liquid phase method. Their structure and morphology were characterized by X-ray diffractometry (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), respectively. The stability of these Ni-substituted spinel oxides prepared at different temperatures was investigated in acidic medium as well. The results show that Ni can be brought into the spinel framework completely to form well-crystallized product when x〈_0.5 and the optimized synthesis temperature is 800℃. LiNi0.4Mn1.6O4 prepared at 800℃ can maintain the spinel structure and morphology with Li extraction ratio of 30.37%, Mn extraction ratio of 8.78% and Ni extraction ratio of 1,82% during acid treatment. The incorporated Ni not only inhibits the dissolution of Mn, but also reduces the extraction of Li due to the lattice contraction
