An Algorithm for Cloud-based Web Service Combination Optimization Through Plant Growth Simulation

In order to improve the efficiency of cloud-based web services,an improved plant growth simulation algorithm scheduling model.This model first used mathematical methods to describe the relationships between cloud-based web services and the constraints of system resources.Then,a light-induced plant growth simulation algorithm was established.The performance of the algorithm was compared through several plant types,and the best plant model was selected as the setting for the system.Experimental results show that when the number of test cloud-based web services reaches 2048,the model being 2.14 times faster than PSO,2.8 times faster than the ant colony algorithm,2.9 times faster than the bee colony algorithm,and a remarkable 8.38 times faster than the genetic algorithm. 展开更多

A relevance vector machine (RVM) based fault diagnosis method was presented for non-linear circuits. In order to simplify RVM classifier, parameters selection based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) and preprocessing technique based on the kurtosis and entropy of signals were used. Firstly, sinusoidal inputs with different frequencies were applied to the circuit under test (CUT). Then, the resulting frequency responses were sampled to generate features. The frequency response was sampled to compute its kurtosis and entropy, which can show the information capacity of signal. By analyzing the output signals, the proposed method can detect and identify faulty components in circuits. The results indicate that the fault classes can be classified correctly for at least 99% of the test data in example circuit. And the proposed method can diagnose hard and soft faults. 展开更多

This paper proposes new methods and strategies for Multi-UAVs cooperative attacks with safety and time constraints in a complex environment.Delaunay triangle is designed to construct a map of the complex flight environment for aerial vehicles.Delaunay-Map,Safe Flight Corridor(SFC),and Relative Safe Flight Corridor(RSFC)are applied to ensure each UAV flight trajectory's safety.By using such techniques,it is possible to avoid the collision with obstacles and collision between UAVs.Bezier-curve is further developed to ensure that multi-UAVs can simultaneously reach the target at the specified time,and the trajectory is within the flight corridor.The trajectory tracking controller is also designed based on model predictive control to track the planned trajectory accurately.The simulation and experiment results are presented to verifying developed strategies of Multi-UAV cooperative attacks. 展开更多

Since different gain designs may achieve the same open-loop crossover frequency, it should be neither considered as a performance objective of the optimal autopilot design-schemes nor neglected. Besides, the main assignment of the autopilot is to drive the missile to track the acceleration commands, so the autopilot gain design should be evaluated directly according to the resultant tracking performance. For this purpose, an optimal design methodology of the three-loop missile autopilot is introduced based on constraint optimization technique, where the tracking performance is established analytically as the design objective and the open-loop crossover frequency is formed as inequality constraint function, both are manipulated in terms of stable characteristic parameters of the autopilot closed-loop. The proposed technique is implemented with the assistance of a numerical optimization algorithm which automatically adjusts the design parameters. Finally, numerical simulation results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed approach compared with that in some references. 展开更多

By equivalent disposing, the reliability constraints were changed into conventional forms. The application of multiple UAVs in complicated tasks has been widely explored in recent years.Due to the advantages of flexibility,cheapness and consistence,the performance of heterogeneous multi-UAVs with proper cooperative task allocation is superior to over the single UAV.Accordingly,several constraints should be satisfied to realize the efficient cooperation,such as special time-window,variant equipment,specified execution sequence.Hence,a proper task allocation in UAVs is the crucial point for the final success.The task allocation problem of the heterogeneous UAVs can be formulated as a multi-objective optimization problem coupled with the UAV dynamics.To this end,a multi-layer encoding strategy and a constraint scheduling method are designed to handle the critical logical and physical constraints.In addition,four optimization objectives:completion time,target reward,UAV damage,and total range,are introduced to evaluate various allocation plans.Subsequently,to efficiently solve the multi-objective optimization problem,an improved multi-objective quantum-behaved particle swarm optimization(IMOQPSO)algorithm is proposed.During this algorithm,a modified solution evaluation method is designed to guide algorithmic evolution;both the convergence and distribution of particles are considered comprehensively;and boundary solutions which may produce some special allocation plans are preserved.Moreover,adaptive parameter control and mixed update mechanism are also introduced in this algorithm.Finally,both the proposed model and algorithm are verified by simulation experiments. 展开更多

A changeable imp... In this paper, a new adaptive optimal guidance law with impact angle and seeker’s field-of-view(FOV) angle constraints is proposed. To this end, the generalized optimal guidance law is derived first. A changeable impact angle weighting(IAW) coefficient is introduced and used to modify the guidance law to make it adaptive for all guidance constraints. After integrating the closed-form solution of the guidance command with linearized engagement kinematics, the analytic predictive models of impact angle and FOV angle are built, and the available range of IAW corresponding to constraints is certain. Next, a calculation scheme is presented to acquire the real-time value of IAW during the entire guidance process. When applying the proposed guidance law, the IAW will keep small to avoid a trajectory climbing up to limit FOV angle at an initial time but will increase with the closing target to improve impact position and angle accuracy, thereby ensuring that the guidance law can juggle orders of guidance accuracy and constraints control. 展开更多

With applying the information technology to the military field, the advantages and importance of the networked combat are more and more obvious. In order to make full use of limited battlefield resources and maximally destroy enemy targets from arbitrary angle in a limited time, the research on firepower nodes dynamic deployment becomes a key problem of command and control. Considering a variety of tactical indexes and actual constraints in air defense, a mathematical model is formulated to minimize the enemy target penetration probability. Based on characteristics of the mathematical model and demands of the deployment problems, an assistance-based algorithm is put forward which combines the artificial potential field (APF) method with a memetic algorithm. The APF method is employed to solve the constraint handling problem and generate feasible solutions. The constrained optimization problem transforms into an optimization problem of APF parameters adjustment, and the dimension of the problem is reduced greatly. The dynamic deployment is accomplished by generation and refinement of feasible solutions. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is effective and feasible in dynamic situation. 展开更多

Condition-based maintenance(CBM) is receiving increasing attention in various engineering systems because of its effectiveness. This paper formulates a new CBM optimization problem for continuously monitored degrading systems considering imperfect maintenance actions. In terms of maintenance actions,in practice, they scarcely restore the system to an as-good-as new state due to residual damage. According to up-to-data researches, imperfect maintenance actions are likely to speed up the degradation process. Regarding the developed CBM optimization strategy, it can balance the maintenance cost and the availability by the searching the optimal preventive maintenance threshold.The maximum number of maintenance is also considered, which is regarded as an availability constraint in the CBM optimization problem. A numerical example is introduced, and experimental results can demonstrate the novelty, feasibility and flexibility of the proposed CBM optimization strategy. 展开更多

The trajectory optimization of an unpowered reentry vehicle via artificial emotion memory optimization(AEMO)is discussed.Firstly,reentry dynamics are established based on multiple constraints and parameterized control variables with finite dimensions are designed.If the constraint is not satisfied,a distance measure and an adaptive penalty function are used to address this scenario.Secondly,AEMO is introduced to solve the trajectory optimization problem.Based on the theories of biology and cognition,the trial solutions based on emotional memory are established.Three search strategies are designed for realizing the random search of trial solutions and for avoiding becoming trapped in a local minimum.The states of the trial solutions are determined according to the rules of memory enhancement and forgetting.As the iterations proceed,the trial solutions with poor quality will gradually be forgotten.Therefore,the number of trial solutions is decreased,and the convergence of the algorithm is accelerated.Finally,a numerical simulation is conducted,and the results demonstrate that the path and terminal constraints are satisfied and the method can realize satisfactory performance. 展开更多

The anti-aircraft system plays an irreplaceable role in modern combat. An anti-aircraft system consists of various types of functional entities interacting to destroy the hostile aircraft moving in high speed. The connecting structure of combat entities in it is of great importance for supporting the normal process of the system. In this paper, we explore the optimizing strategy of the structure of the anti-aircraft network by establishing extra communication channels between the combat entities.Firstly, the thought of combat network model(CNM) is borrowed to model the anti-aircraft system as a heterogeneous network. Secondly, the optimization objectives are determined as the survivability and the accuracy of the system. To specify these objectives, the information chain and accuracy chain are constructed based on CNM. The causal strength(CAST) logic and influence network(IN) are introduced to illustrate the establishment of the accuracy chain. Thirdly, the optimization constraints are discussed and set in three aspects: time, connection feasibility and budget. The time constraint network(TCN) is introduced to construct the timing chain and help to detect the timing consistency. Then, the process of the multi-objective optimization of the structure of the anti-aircraft system is designed.Finally, a simulation is conducted to prove the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method. Non-dominated sorting based genetic algorithm-Ⅱ(NSGA2) is used to solve the multiobjective optimization problem and two other algorithms including non-dominated sorting based genetic algorithm-Ⅲ(NSGA3)and strength Pareto evolutionary algorithm-Ⅱ(SPEA2) are employed as comparisons. Recently,reactive materials have been developed for penetrative projectiles to improve impact resistance and energy capacity.However,the design of a reactive material structure,involving shape and size,is challenging because of difficulties such as high non-linearity of impact resistance,manufacturing limitations of reactive materials and high expenses of penetration experiments.In this study,a design optimization methodology for the reactive material structure is developed based on the finite element analysis.A finite element model for penetration analysis is introduced to save the expenses of the experiments.Impact resistance is assessed through the analysis,and result is calibrated by comparing with experimental results.Based on the model,topology optimization is introduced to determine shape of the structure.The design variables and constraints of the optimization are proposed considering the manufacturing limitations,and the optimal shape that can be manufactured by cold spraying is determined.Based on the optimal shape,size optimization is introduced to determine the geometric dimensions of the structure.As a result,optimal design of the reactive material structure and steel case of the penetrative projectile,which maximizes the impact resistance,is determined.Using the design process proposed in this study,reactive material structures can be designed considering not only mechanical performances but also manufacturing limitations,with reasonable time and cost. 展开更多

The potential role of formal structural optimization was investigated for designing foldable and deployable structures in this work.Shape-sizing nested optimization is a challenging design problem.Shape,represented by the lengths and relative angles of elements,is critical to achieving smooth deployment to a desired span,while the section profiles of each element must satisfy structural dynamic performances in each deploying state.Dynamic characteristics of deployable structures in the initial state,the final state and also the middle deploying states are all crucial to the structural dynamic performances.The shape was represented by the nodal coordinates and the profiles of cross sections were represented by the diameters and thicknesses.SQP(sequential quadratic programming) method was used to explore the design space and identify the minimum mass solutions that satisfy kinematic and structural dynamic constraints.The optimization model and methodology were tested on the case-study of a deployable pantograph.This strategy can be easily extended to design a wide range of deployable structures,including deployable antenna structures,foldable solar sails,expandable bridges and retractable gymnasium roofs. 展开更多

For most firms,especially the small-and medium-sized ones,the operational decisions are affected by their internal capital and ability to obtain external capital.However,the majority of the current studies on dynamic inventory control ignore the firm’s financial status and financing issues completely.An important question that arises is:what are the dynamic optimal inventory and financing policies for firms with limited capital and limited access to external capital?In this paper,we review some of the latest developments in this area.After a brief review of single period models,we focus on multi-period dynamic control of the firm who aims to optimize its xpected terminal wealth.Two cases are discussed in detail:self-finance and short term finance.In the first case,the firm has to rely on its own capital for all ordering decisions,while in the second,the firm can borrow short term loan from lenders.A detailed characterization of the optimal policy is presented and its managerial insights are discussed.Several possible extensions are suggested. 展开更多

Direct searches that need no recourse to explicit derivatives are revived and become popular since the new century. In order to get a deep insight into this field, some notes on the direct searches for non-smooth optimization problems are made. The global convergence vs. local convergence and their influences on expected solutions for simulation-based stochastic optimization are pointed out. The sufficient and simple decrease criteria for step acceptance are analyzed, and why simple decrease is enough for globalization in direct searches is identified. The reason to introduce the positive spanning set and its usage in direct searches is explained. 深度强化学习(DRL)是提高高速列车能源效率和运行质量最有前途的技术之一,但目前仍然存在着一些问题,限制了其在实际应用中的效果。现有解决方案存在以下两方面问题:首先,在高速列车运行环境下,DRL在处理庞大状态空间时表现不佳;其次,... 深度强化学习(DRL)是提高高速列车能源效率和运行质量最有前途的技术之一,但目前仍然存在着一些问题,限制了其在实际应用中的效果。现有解决方案存在以下两方面问题:首先,在高速列车运行环境下,DRL在处理庞大状态空间时表现不佳;其次,由于固定奖励函数难以适应不同调度运行时刻下的能效差异,智能体将受到不准确信号的干扰,通常采用手动方式调整。鉴于此,本研究在极大值原理基础上,综合考虑影响列车能效的诸多因素,提出一种高速列车智能驾驶策略的分层次优化的深度强化学习算法(HODRL)。该算法从结构上分为分层优化层和强化学习层。分层优化层利用先验知识降低智能体的探索复杂度,并根据能效场景重塑奖励函数,以实现对能效和时间等多个目标探索的有效平衡;而强化学习层则采取双延迟深度确定性策略梯度(TD3)算法,将其用于连续的动作空间,以提高列车操控的精确度。通过实验验证了HODRL算法在提升能效和准时性等方面的有效性,该算法平均减少79.68%的无效状态空间,并让智能体获得正确的奖励信号,预计节能和智能体实际节能相比均值误差为1.99kWh,方差为0.91kWh。所提算法仅需要TD3算法15.26%的训练时间即可收敛,并与其他基线算法相比较,在时间误差为±0.1%并保证乘客舒适度时,相比PPO、DDPG、TD3、PMP算法分别能耗减少了1.29%,5.70%,1.69%,3.27%。研究结果可为进一步优化高速列车驾驶策略和保障高速列车安全运营提供有效参考。 展开更多
