The characterizations of the coating are analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Interfacial contact resistance (ICR) between the coated sample and carbon paper is 4.9 m Omega cm(2) under 150 N/cm(2), which is much lower than that of the SS316L substrate. Potentiodynamic and potentiostatic tests are performed in the simulated PEMFC working conditions to investigate the corrosion behaviors of the coated sample. Superior anticorrosion performance is observed for the coated sample, whose corrosion current density is 0.12 mu A/cm(2). Surface morphology results after corrosion tests indicate that the substrate is well protected by the multilayer coating. Performances of the single cell with the multilayer coated SS316L bipolar plate are improved significantly compared with that of the cell with the uncoated SS316L bipolar plate, presenting a great potential for PEMFC application. The centrality of nodes and layers are obtained by developing a novel iterative algorithm for computing a set of tensor equations. Under some conditions, the existence and uniqueness of this centrality were proven by applying the Brouwer fixed point theorem. Furthermore, the convergence of the proposed iterative algorithm was established. Finally, numerical experiments on a simple multilayer network and two real-world multilayer networks(i.e., Pierre Auger Collaboration and European Air Transportation Networks) are proposed to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm and to compare it to other existing centrality measures.展开更多

Simulation results are consistent with the experimental observation that rafted Ni-base superalloys virtually possess a cubic symmetry. The convergence of the elastic properties with respect to the thickness of the multilayers are tested by a series of multilayers from 2γ′+2γto 10γ′+10γ atomic layers. The elastic properties are found to vary little with the increase of the multilayer's thickness. A Ni/Ni3Al multilayer with 10γ′+10γ atomic layers (3.54 nm) can be used to simulate the mechanical properties of Ni-base model superalloys. Our calculated elastic constants, bulk modulus, orientation-dependent shear modulus and Young's modulus, as well as the Zener anisotropy factor are all compatible with the measured results of Ni-base model superalloys R1 and the advanced commercial superalloys TMS-26, CMSX-4 at a low temperature. The mechanical properties as a function of the γ′ phase volume fraction are calculated by varying the proportion of the γ and γ′ phase in the multilayers. Besides, the mechanical properties of two-phase Ni/Ni3Al multilayer can be well predicted by the Voigt-Reuss-Hill rule of mixtures.展开更多

The effects of small island (dimer and trimer) diffusion, edge diffusion along the islands, exchange of the adatom with an atom in the existing island, as well as mass transport between interlayers are included in the simulation model. Emphasis is placed on revealing the influence of the Ehrlic-Schwoebel (ES) barrier on growth mode and morphology during multilayer thin film growth. We present numerical evidence that the ES barrier does exist for the Cu/Cu(100) system and an ES barrier EB 〉 0.125eV is estimated from a comparison of the KMC simulation with the realistic experimental images. The transitions of growth modes with growth conditions and the influence of exchange barrier on growth mode are also investigated.展开更多

Regarding the multilayer as a series of capacitance, effective optical properties are derived. The dispersion relation is obtained with the solution of the transfer matrix equation. GNPs are being used as radiation dose enhancers in radiation therapy as well as anticancer drugs carriers in chemotherapy. However, the success of GNP-based therapeutics depends on their ability to penetrate tumor tissue. GNPs of 20 and 50 nm diameters were used to elucidate the effects of size on the GNP interaction with tumor cells at monolayer and multilayer level. At monolayer cell level, smaller NPs had a lower uptake compared to larger NPs at monolayer cell level. However, the order was reversed at tissue-like multilayer level. The smaller NPs penetrated better compared to larger NPs in tissue-like materials.Based on our study using tissue-like materials, we can predict that the smaller NPs are better for future therapeutics due to their greater penetration in tumor tissue once leaving the leaky blood vessels. In this study, tissue-like multilayer cellular structures(MLCs) were grown to model the post-vascular tumor environment. The MLCs exhibited a much more extensive extracellular matrix than monolayer cell cultures. The MLC model can be used to optimize the nano–micro interface at tissue level before moving into animal models. This would accelerate the use of NPs in future cancer therapeutics.展开更多

The multilayer with a mid-Cu thickness of 11 nm is optimized to obtain a resistivity of 7.4× 10^- 5 Ω-cm and an average optical transmittance of 86% in the visible spectral range. The figure of merit of the TiO2/Cu( 11 nm)/TiO2 multilayer annealed at 150℃ reaches a minimum resistivity of 5.9× 10^- 5 ℃.cm and an average optical transmittance of 88% in the visible spectral range. 文摘Energetic Semiconductor bridge(ESCB)based on reactive multilayered films(RMFs)has a promising application in the miniature and intelligence of initiator and pyrotechnics device.Understanding the ignition enhancement mechanism of RMFs on semiconductor bridge(SCB)during the ignition process is crucial for the engineering and practical application of advanced initiator and pyrotechnics devices. In this study,a one-dimensional(1D)gas-solid two-phase flow ignition model was established to study the ignition process of ESCB to charge particles based on the reactivity of Al/MoO_(3) RMFs.In order to fully consider the coupled exothermic between the RMFs and the SCB plasma during the ignition process, the heat release of chemical reaction in RMFs was used as an internal heat source in this model. It is found that the exothermal reaction in RMFs improved the ignition performance of SCB.In the process of plasma rapid condensation with heat release, the product of RMFs enhanced the heat transfer process between the gas phase and the solid charge particle, which accelerated the expansion of hot plasma, and heated the solid charge particle as well as gas phase region with low temperature. In addition,it made up for pressure loss in the gas phase.During the plasma dissipation process, the exothermal chemical reaction in RMFs acted as the main heating source to heat the charge particle, making the surface temperature of the charge particle, gas pressure, and gas temperature rise continuously. This result may yield significant advantages in providing a universal ignition model for miniaturized ignition devices.

文摘A new insulation packaging strategy for the stator windings of flat wire motors based on LTCC technology was studied for the first time. The study aimed to replace traditional plastic packaging methods and avoid aging issues by fabricating a novel multilayer laminated Cu coil/CaO–Li_(2)O–B_(2)O_(3)–SiO_(2)glass-ceramic structure. The analysis of the interface microstructure of the laminated structure revealed that the CaO–Li_(2)O–B_(2)O_(3)–SiO_(2)glass-ceramic matrix consisted of a crystalline phase of CaSiO_(3)and an amorphous phase of SiO_(2).The interface between the Cu coil and CaO–Li_(2)O–B_(2)O_(3)–SiO_(2)glass-ceramic exhibited good bonding with no formation of secondary phases.Additionally, the strong bonding between the Cu coil and CaO–Li_(2)O–B_(2)O_(3)–SiO_(2)glass-ceramic was attributed to the diffusion of Cu atoms at the interface. The novel multilayer laminated structure based on LTCC technology proposed in this study can help achieve high-reliability insulation packaging for the stator windings of future high-power density and miniaturized flat wire motors.

文摘Multilayer interference mirrors play a pivotal role in spectroscopic diagnostic systems, which probe electron temperature and density during inertial confinement fusion processes. In this study, aperiodic Mo/B_(4)C multilayer mirrors of varied thick-nesses were investigated for X-ray plasma diagnostics at the 9.67-keV W-Lβline.The thickness distribution of the aperiodic multilayers was designed using the first Bragg diffraction condition and then optimized through a simplex algorithm to realize a narrow bandwidth and consistent spectral response. To enhance spectral accuracy, further refinements were undertaken by matching the grazing incidence X-ray reflectivity data with actual structural parameters.X-ray reflectivity measurements from the SSRF synchrotron radiation facility on the optimized sample showed a reflectivity of 29.7±2.6%,flat-band range of 1.3 keV,and bandwidth of 1.7 keV,making it suitable for high-temperature plasma diagnostics. The study explored the potential of predicting the 9.67 keV reflectivity spectrum using the fitting data from the grazing incidence X-ray reflectivity curves at 8.05 keV.Additionally, the short-term thermal stability of an aperiodic multilayer was assessed using temperature-dependent in situ X-ray measurements.Shifts in the reflectivity spectrum during annealing were attributed to interdiffusion and interfacial relaxation. The research team recommends the aperiodic Mo/B_(4)C multilayer mirror for operations below 300℃.

文摘Arc ion plating (AIP) is applied to form Ti/(Ti,Cr)N/CrN multilayer coating on the surface of 316L stainless steel (SS316L) as bipolar plates for proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs). 文摘In this paper, we propose a new centrality algorithm that can simultaneously rank the nodes and layers of multilayer networks, referred to as the MRFNL centrality. Finally, numerical experiments on a simple multilayer network and two real-world multilayer networks(i.e., Pierre Auger Collaboration and European Air Transportation Networks) are proposed to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm and to compare it to other existing centrality measures.

文摘A model system consisting of Ni[001](100)/Ni3Al[001](100) multi-layers are studied using the density functional theory in order to explore the elastic properties of single crystal Ni-based superalloys. Besides, the mechanical properties of two-phase Ni/Ni3Al multilayer can be well predicted by the Voigt-Reuss-Hill rule of mixtures.

文摘Phosphorus-based anodes are highly promising for potassium-ion batteries(PIBs)because of their large theoretical capacities.Nevertheless, the inferior potassium storage properties caused by the poor electronic conductivity, easy self-aggregation,and huge volumetric changes upon cycling process restrain their practical applications. Now we impregnate Sn_(4)P_(3)nanoparticles within multilayer graphene sheets(Sn_(4)P_(3)/MGS)as the anode material for PIBs,greatly improving its potassium storage performance.Specifically, the graphene sheets can efficiently suppress the aggregation of Sn_(4)P_(3)nanoparticles,enhance the electronic conductivity, and sustain the structural integrity. In addition, plenty of Sn_(4)P_(3)nanoparticles impregnated in MGS offer a large accessible area for the electrolyte, which decreases the diffusion distance for K^(+)and electrons upon K^(+)insertion/extraction,resulting in an improved rate capability.Consequently, the optimized Sn_(4)P_(3)/MGS containing 80 wt%Sn_(4)P_(3)(Sn_(4)P_(3)/MGS-80)exhibits a high reversible capacity of 378.2 and 260.2 m Ah g;at 0.1 and 1 A g^(-1),respectively,and still delivers a large capacity retention of 76.6%after the 1000th cycle at 0.5 A g^(-1).

文摘Layer-structured Shsse attracts much attention as an anode material for potassium storage due to its la rge theoretical capacity.Unfortunately, their practical application is severely restrained by the dramatic volumetric variation of SnSSe.Herein,we synthesize ultrafine SnSSe/multilayer graphene nanosheet(SnSSe/MGS) by a vacuum solid-phase reaction and subsequent ball milling.Owing to the strong synergistic effect between the two components, the obtained SnSSe/MGS nanocomposite exhibits a high reversible capacity(423 mAh g^(-1) at 100 mA g^(-1)),excellent rate property(218 mAh g^(-1) at 5 A g^(-1)),and stable cycling performance(271 mAh g^(-1) after 500 cycles at 100 mA g^(-1)) in potassium-ion half batteries. Moreover, the full cell assembled by the SnSSe/MGS anode and the potassiated 3,4,9,10-perylene-tetracar boxylic aciddianhydride cathode shows excellent electrochemical performance between 0.2 and 3.3 V(209 mAh g^(-1) at 50 mA g^(-1) after 100 cycles). The presented two-step synthesis strategy of SnSSe/MGS may also provide ideas to craft other alloy-type anode materials.

文摘The processes of multilayer thin Cu films grown on Cu (100) surfaces at elevated temperature (250-400K) are simulated by mean of kinetic Monte Carlo (KMC) method, where the realistic growth model and physical parameters are used. The transitions of growth modes with growth conditions and the influence of exchange barrier on growth mode are also investigated.

文摘A self-adaptive differential evolution neutron spectrum unfolding algorithm(SDENUA)is established in this study to unfold the neutron spectra obtained from a water-pumping-injection multilayered concentric sphere neutron spectrometer(WMNS).Specifically, the neutron fluence bounds are estimated to accelerate the algorithm convergence, and the minimum error between the optimal solution and input neutron counts with relative uncertainties is limited to 10^(-6)to avoid unnecessary calculations.Furthermore, the crossover probability and scaling factor are self-adaptively controlled.FLUKA Monte Carlo is used to simulate the readings of the WMNS under(1)a spectrum of Cf-252 and(2)its spectrum after being moderated,(3)a spectrum used for boron neutron capture therapy,and(4)a reactor spectrum.Subsequently, the measured neutron counts are unfolded using the SDENUA.The uncertainties of the measured neutron count and the response matrix are considered in the SDENUA,which does not require complex parameter tuning or an a priori default spectrum. The results indicate that the solutions of the SDENUA agree better with the IAEA spectra than those of MAXED and GRAVEL in UMG 3.1,and the errors of the final results calculated using the SDENUA are less than 12%.The established SDENUA can be used to unfold spectra from the WMNS.

文摘We theoretically investigate the photonic band gap in one-dimensional photonic crystals with a graded multilayer structure. The proposed structure constitutes an alternating composite layer (metallic nanoparticles embedded in TiO2 film) and an air layer. Regarding the multilayer as a series of capacitance, effective optical properties are derived. The dispersion relation is obtained with the solution of the transfer matrix equation. With a graded structure in the composite layer, numerical results show that the position and width of the photonic band gap can be effectively modulated by varying the number of the graded composite layers, the volume fraction of nanoparticles and the external stimuli.

文摘Gold nanoparticles(GNPs) are emerging as a novel tool to improve existing cancer therapeutics. This would accelerate the use of NPs in future cancer therapeutics.

文摘Highly transparent indium-free composite electrodes of TiO2/Cu/TiO2 are deposited by electron-beam evaporation at room temperature. The effects of Cu thickness and annealing temperature on the electrical and optical properties of the multilayer film are investigated. The critical thickness of Cu mid-layer to form a continuous conducting layer is found to be 11 nm. The experimental results indicate that TiO2/Cu/TiO2 multilayers can be used as a transparent electrode for solar cell and other display applications.

文摘Coalbed methane(CBM)is an important unconventional natural gas.Exploitation of multilayered CBM reservoir is still facing the challenge of low production rate.Radial borehole fracturing, which integrates radial jet drilling and hydraulic fracturing,is expected to create complex fracture networks in multilayers and enhance CBM recovery. The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the mechanisms and efficacy of radial borehole fracturing in increasing CBM production in multiple layers.First,a two-phase flow and multi-scale 3 D fracture network including radial laterals, hydraulic fractures and face/butt cleats model is established, and embedded discrete fracture model(EDFM)is applied to handle the complex fracture networks. Then, effects of natural-fracture nonuniform distribution are investigated to show the advantages of targeted stimulation for radial borehole fracturing. Finally, two field CBM wells located in eastern Yunnan-western Guizhou,China were presented to illuminate the stimulation efficiency by radial borehole fracturing. The results indicated that compared with vertical well fracturing, radial borehole fracturing can achieve higher gas/water daily production rate and cumulative gas/water production, approximately 2 times higher.Targeted communications to cleats and sweet spots and flexibility in designing radial borehole parameters in different layers so as to increase fracture-network complexity and connectivity are the major reasons for production enhancement of radial borehole fracturing.Furthermore, the integration of geology-engineering is vital for the decision of radial borehole fracturing designing scheme. The key findings of this paper could provide useful insights towards understanding the capability of radial borehole fracturing in developing CBM and coal-measure gas in multiple-thin layers.
