The effects of milling atmospheres (argon, air, and oxygen), milling time (from 0 to 30 h) and heat treatment are studied. The products are characterized using x-ray diffractometry, field emission scanning electron microscopy equipped with energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy, and transmitted electron microscopy. The results indicate that the desired ferrite is not produced during the milling in the samples milled under either air or oxygen atmospheres. In those samples milled under argon, however, Zn/NiO/Fe2O3 reacts with a solid-state diffusion mode to produce Ni-Zn ferrite nanocrystalline in a size of 8 nm after 30-h-milling. The average crystallite sizes decrease to 9 nm and 10 nm in 30-h-milling samples under air and oxygen atmospheres, respectively. Annealing the 30-h-milling samples at 600℃ for 2 h leads to the formation of a single phase of Ni-Zn ferrite, an increase of crystallite size, and a reduction of internal lattice strain. Finally, the effects of the milling atmosphere and heating temperature on the magnetic properties of the 30-h-milling samples are investigated.展开更多

文摘Carbon fiber reinforced silicon carbide matrix(Cf/SiC)composites have the most potential application for high-temperature components of aerospace high-end equipment. However, high cutting temperature, rapid tool wear and severe surface damages are the main problems in dry cutting Cf/SiC composites process. The feasibility study on cryogenic milling of Cf/SiC composites using liquid nitrogen as coolant is investigated.Influences of milling parameters and coolant on temperature, cutting force, surface quality and tool wear are investigated, which is compared with dry cutting.Experimental results reveal that the cutting temperature in cryogenic milling of Cf/SiC composites is reduced by about 40%—60%compared with dry cutting. The milling force increases gradually with the increase of spindle speed, feed rate, depth and width of milling in cryogenic milling process. In addition, the machined surface quality in cryogenic milling is superior to that in dry cutting process.Fiber fracture, matrix damage and fiber matrix debonding are main material removal mechanisms.Flank face wear is the main wear form of the polycrystalline diamond(PCD)end mills. The tool life is prolonged in the cryogenic milling process because the reduced temperature inhibits the softening of Co binder and phase transition of diamond in the PCD end mills.

文摘To achieve the secondary production in multistage fracturing wells of tight oil, milling tools are usually used to remove the multistage fracturing ball seats to achieve production with a large diameter in later. In this paper, first of all,the working mechanism of milling tools for multistage fracturing ball seats was studied and a mechanical analysis model of single abrasive grain was established. Then,an experimental system for milling tools was developed, and the experimental tests of the flat, the blade, and the slope milling tool were conducted in order.Besides, the morphology of chips and the surface morphology of the workpiece after the experiment were analyzed. Also, the working performance of milling tools was evaluated from the perspectives of working safety, working efficiency, and wear resistance of the milling tool. The results show that the torque of the milling tool increases nonlinearly with the increase in the cutting depth of the abrasive grain and increases linearly with the increase in the cutting width. Also, the chips are irregular particles and the size is mainly from 10 to 50μm.So,the chips should be pumped up with a small pump pressure and a large displacement.Besides this, the cutting depths of the abrasive grains are from 216.20 to 635.47μm and the bottom surface of the milling tool should be eccentric to avoid the zero point of cutting speed.Furthermore, the torque of the slope milling tool is 23.8%larger than that of the flat milling tool, which is also 30.4%smaller than that of the blade milling tool.Compared with the flat milling tool, the working efficiency of the blade milling tool improves by 79.9%and the slope milling tool improves by 111.1%.Also,the wear resistance of the blade milling tool decreases by 102.7%,while the slope milling tool declines by 32.6%when compared with the flat milling tool. Therefore, the slope milling tool has the characteristics of moderate torque, stable working conditions, the highest working efficiency, and fine wear resistance, which is preferably used to mill multistage fracturing ball seats. This study provides a theoretical basis and guidance for milling multistage fracturing ball seats on-site and realizing production with a large diameter in later stages of multistage fracturing wells.

文摘In laser milling assisted with jet electrochemical machining(LMAJECM),the source of energy is a pulsed laser beam aligned coaxially with a jet of electrolyte, which focuses optical energy on the surface of workpiece. The impact of jet of electrolyte develops a state-of-art work to perform operations such as electrolytic etching, effective cooling, and transportation of debris. Therefore,a special jet cell is designed to obtain stable jet as to be a kind of noncontact tool,i.e.,electrode.According to the theoretical model of on-off pulse time process, laser machining and electrolytic anodization are simulated by finite element analysis(FEA)method.Grooves on a 0.5mm thick 321 stainless steel sheet produced by LMAJECM is performed with pulsed Nd:YAG laser at the second harmonic wavelength.Compared with laser milling under ambient atmosphere conditions, the recast layer and burrs are effectively diminished. And the accuracy of depth is dedicated to laser milling, whilst that of width is dominated by jet electrochemical machining. It is demonstrated that LMAJECM can be a highly potential approach for fabricating 3-D micro components.

文摘The effects of milling parameters on the surface quality, microstructures and mechanical properties of machined parts with ultrafine grained(UFG)gradient microstructures are investigated. The effects of the cutting speed, feed per tooth, cutting tool geometry and cooling strategy are demonstrated. It has been found that the surface quality of machined grooves can be improved by increasing the cutting speed. However, cryogenic cooling with CO_2 exhibits no significant improvement of surface quality.Microstructure and hardness investigations revealed similar microstructure and hardness variations near the machined groove walls for both utilized tool geometries. Therefore, cryogenic cooling can decrease more far-ranging hardness reductions due to high process temperatures, especially in the UFG regions of the machined parts, whilst it cannot prevent the drop in hardness directly at the groove walls.

文摘The aramid fiber-reinforced composites(AFRC)can increase the durability of corresponding applications such as aerospace, automobile and other large structural parts, due to the improvement in hardness, heat build-up,wear properties and green environmental protection. However, because of its complex multiphase structure and unique heterogeneity and anisotropy, the poor compression fatigue resistance and the incident surface fibrillation are inevitable. To improve the assembly precision of AFRC,mechanical processing is necessary to meet the dimensional accuracy. This paper focuses on the influence of contour milling parameters on delamination defects during milling of AFRC laminates.A series of milling experiments are conducted and two different kinds of delamination defects including tearing delamination and uncut-off delamination are investigated.A computing method and model based on brittle fracture for the two different types of delamination are established. The results can be used for explaining the mechanism and regularity of delamination defects. The control strategy of delamination defects and evaluation method of finished surface integrity are further discussed. The results are meaningful to optimize cutting parameters, and provide a clear understanding of surface defects control.
