Although it has a significant advantage in gain properties,the lack of selective etching processes hinders ZnO lasing in on-chip applications.Herein,the circular ZnO microdisk pivoted on Si substrate is fabricated thr...Although it has a significant advantage in gain properties,the lack of selective etching processes hinders ZnO lasing in on-chip applications.Herein,the circular ZnO microdisk pivoted on Si substrate is fabricated through depositing ZnO on patterned silicon on an insulator(SOI)substrate.The cavity structure,morphology,and photoluminescence(PL)properties are studied systematically.The cavity shows a well-defined circular structure with oxygen vacancies.Under the synergistic action of surface tension and stress,the ZnO microdisk shows a unique toroid structure with a high sidewall surface finish.The ZnO microcavity(8μm in diameter)shows optically pumped whispering gallery modes(WGMs)lasing in the ultraviolet region with a Q factor exceeding 1300.More interestingly,the quality of the toroid ZnO microdisk cavity is high enough to support the bandgap renormalization(BGR)phenomenon.With the increasing pumping power,the lasing spectra will be modulated.The lasing spectrum undergoes a Burstein-Moss(BM)effect-induced blueshift and an electron-hole plasma(EHP)effect-induced redshift.展开更多

A short unclosed portion of the separation channel from t...A poly(methyl methacrylate)-based capillary electrophoresis microchip, integrated with a microelectrode-based end-column amperometric detection, was described. A short unclosed portion of the separation channel from the detection cell was used as a working-electrode guide channel. With the aid of a three-dimension micropositioner and an optical microscope, a home-made 6 μm carbon-fiber microdisk electrode(tip diameter of 20 μm) was positioned along the guide channel at 30 μm distance from the channel outlet. With dopamine and catechol the as model analytes, the analytical performance of the system was demonstrated and the detection limit of 1.6×10 -7mol/L for dopamine was achieved, to our knowledge, which is the lowest value than that from published literatures using electrophoresis microchip with end-column amperometric detection.展开更多

This was accomplished by use of a mixed solvent system as Acetonotrile:Xylene = 1: 4 and a supporting electrolyte as 0.1 mol·L-1 Bu4NPF6. Au, Pt and Hg (Pt) were used as working electrode. In this new conditions, the successive six step reduction of C60 were obtained at below 15℃. It was found that the former five steps are all the single electron reversible reduction, but behaviors of the sixth steps are like EC’ processes.Several electrochemical data were determined.展开更多
