Intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS) is a set of 2-tuple arguments, each of which is characterized by a membership degree and a nonmembership degree. The generalized form of IFS is interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy set (IVIFS), whose components are intervals rather than exact numbers. IFSs and IVIFSs have been found to be very useful to describe vagueness and uncertainty. However, it seems that little attention has been focused on the clustering analysis of IFSs and IVIFSs. An intuitionistic fuzzy hierarchical algorithm is introduced for clustering IFSs, which is based on the traditional hierarchical clustering procedure, the intuitionistic fuzzy aggregation operator, and the basic distance measures between IFSs: the Hamming distance, normalized Hamming, weighted Hamming, the Euclidean distance, the normalized Euclidean distance, and the weighted Euclidean distance. Subsequently, the algorithm is extended for clustering IVIFSs. Finally the algorithm and its extended form are applied to the classifications of building materials and enterprises respectively. 展开更多

In order to measure the uncertain information of a type- 2 intuitionistic fuzzy set (T21FS), an entropy measure of T21FS is presented by using the constructive principles. The proposed entropy measure is also proved to satisfy all of the constructive principles. Further, a novel concept of the type-2 triangular in- tuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy set (T2TITrFS) is developed, and a geometric interpretation of the T2TITrFS is given to comprehend it completely or correctly in a more intuitive way. To deal with a more general uncertain complex system, the constructive principles of an entropy measure of T2TITrFS are therefore proposed on the basis of the axiomatic definition of the type-2 intuitionisic fuzzy entropy measure. This paper elicits a formula of type-2 triangular intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy entropy and verifies that it does sa- tisfy the constructive principles. Two examples are given to show the efficiency of the proposed entropy of T2TITrFS in describing the uncertainty of the type-2 intuitionistic fuzzy information and illustrate its application in type-2 triangular intuitionistic trapezodial fuzzy decision making problems. 展开更多

The notion of the interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy set (IVIFS) is a generalization of that of the Atanassov's intuitionistic fuzzy set. The fundamental characteristic of IVIFS is that the values of its membership function and non-membership function are intervals rather than exact numbers. There are various averaging operators defined for IVlFSs. These operators are not monotone with respect to the total order of IVIFS, which is undesirable. This paper shows how such averaging operators can be represented by using additive generators of the product triangular norm, which simplifies and extends the existing constructions. Moreover, two new aggregation operators based on the t.ukasiewicz triangular norm are proposed, which are monotone with respect to the total order of IVIFS. Finally, an application of the interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy weighted averaging operator is given to multiple criteria decision making. 展开更多

The operational laws of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers are introduced, and the score function and accuracy function are presented to compare the intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. The intuitionistic fuzzy ordered weighted averaging (IFOWA) operator which is an extension of the well-known ordered weighted averaging (OWA) operator is investigated to aggregate the intuitionistic fuzzy information. In order to determine the weights of intuitionistic fuzzy ordered weighted averaging operator, a linear goal programming procedure is proposed for learning the weights from data. And the IFS is generalized to the IVIFS.In this paper, the definition of the sixth Cartesian product over IVIFSs is first introduced and its some properties are explored.We prove some equalities based on the operation and the relation over IVIFSs. Inthe new model, a fuzzy clustering algorithm is used to get unequalintervals, and a more objective technique for ascertaining membershipand non-membership functions of the intuitionistic fuzzy setis proposed. On these bases, forecast rules based on multidimensionalintuitionistic fuzzy modus ponens inference are established.Finally, contrast experiments on the daily mean temperature ofBeijing are carried out, which show that the novel model has aclear advantage of improving the forecast accuracy. 展开更多

Expected values, score function, and accuracy function of intuitionitsic trapezoidal fuzzy numbers are defined. Based on these, a kind of intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy multi-criteria decision making method is proposed. By using these aggregation operators, criteria values are aggregated and integrated intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy numbers of alternatives are attained. By comparing score function and accuracy function values of integrated fuzzy numbers, a ranking of the whole alternative set can be attained. The target attribute weight is calculated by the intuitionistic fuzzy entropy(IFE) algorithm and the time series weight is gained by the Poisson distribution method based on multi-times data. The function of the air target threat evaluation (TE) is the foundation for weapons allocation and senor resources management within the surface air defense. The multi-attribute evaluation methodology is utilized to address the issue of the TE in which the tactic features of the detected target are treated as evaluation attributes. Meanwhile, the intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS) is employed to deal with information uncertainty in the TE process. Furthermore, on the basis of the entropy weight and inclusion-comparison probability, a hybrid TE method is developed. In order to accommodate the demands of naturalistic decision making, the proposed method allows air defense commanders to express their intuitive opinions besides incorporating into the threat features of the detected target. An illustrative example is provided to indicate the feasibility and advantage of the proposed method. 展开更多

The class of multiple attribute decision making (MADM) problems is studied, where the attribute values are intuitionistic fuzzy numbers, and the information about attribute weights is completely unknown. A score function is first used to calculate the score of each attribute value and a score matrix is constructed, and then it is transformed into a normalized score matrix. Based on the normalized score matrix, an entropy-based procedure is proposed to derive attribute weights. Furthermore, the additive weighted averaging operator is utilized to fuse all the normalized scores into the overall scores of alternatives, by which the ranking of all the given alternatives is obtained. This paper is concluded by extending the above results to interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy set theory, and an illustrative example is also provided. 展开更多

A novel group decision-making (GDM) method based on intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs) is developed to evaluate the ergonomics of aircraft cockpit display and control system (ACDCS). The GDM process with four steps is discussed. Firstly, approaches are proposed to transform four types of common judgement representations into a unified expression by the form of the IFS, and the features of unifications are analyzed. Then, the aggregation operator called the IFSs weighted averaging (IFSWA) operator is taken to synthesize decision-makers’ (DMs’) preferences by the form of the IFS. In this operator, the DM’s reliability weights factors are determined based on the distance measure between their preferences. Finally, an improved score function is used to rank alternatives and to get the best one. An illustrative example proves the proposed method is effective to valuate the ergonomics of the ACDCS. 展开更多

These operators not only reflect the importance of elements and their ordered positions, but also consider the correlations among elements and their ordered positions. Since the fuzzy measures are defined on the power set, it makes the problem exponentially complex. In order to simplify the complexity of solving a fuzzy measure, we further define the induced interval-valued intuitionistic uncertain linguistic hybrid λ-Shapley averaging (I-IIULHλSA) operator and the induced interval-valued intuitionistic uncertain linguistic hybrid λ-Shapley geometric (I-IIULHλSG) operator. Moreover, an approach for multi-attribute group decision making under the interval-valued intuitionistic uncertain linguistic environment is developed. To enhance the accuracy of intuitionistic fuzzy time series forecasting model, this paper analyses the influence of universe of discourse partition and compares with relevant literature. Traditional models usually partition the global universe of discourse, which is not appropriate for all objectives. For example, the universe of the secular trend model is continuously variational. In addition, most forecasting methods rely on prior information, i.e., fuzzy relationship groups (FRG). Numerous relationship groups lead to the explosive growth of relationship library in a linear model and increase the computational complexity. To overcome problems above and ascertain an appropriate order, an intuitionistic fuzzy time series forecasting model based on order decision and adaptive partition algorithm is proposed. By forecasting the vector operator matrix, the proposed model can adjust partitions and intervals adaptively. The proposed model is tested on student enrollments of Alabama dataset, typical seasonal dataset Taiwan Stock Exchange Capitalization Weighted Stock Index (TAIEX) and a secular trend dataset of total retail sales for social consumer goods in China. Experimental results illustrate the validity and applicability of the proposed method for different patterns of dataset. 展开更多

To cope with multi-directional transmission coupling,spreading, amplification, and chain reaction of risks during multiproject parallel construction of warships, a risk transmission evaluation method is proposed, which integrates an intuitionistic cloud model with a fuzzy cognitive map. By virtue of expectancy Ex, entropy En, and hyper entropy He, the risk fuzziness and randomness of the knowledge of experts are organically combined to develop a method for converting bi-linguistic variable decision-making information into the quantitative information of the intuitionistic normal cloud(INC) model. Subsequently, the threshold function and weighted summation operation in the traditional fuzzy cognitive map is converted into the INC ordered weighted averaging operator to create the risk transmission model based on the intuitionistic fuzzy cognitive map(IFCM) and the algorithm for solving it. Subsequently, the risk influence sequencing method based on INC and the risk rating method based on nearness are proposed on the basis of Monte Carlo simulation in order to realize the mutual conversion of the qualitative and quantitative information in the risk evaluation results.Example analysis is presented to verify the effectiveness and practicality of the methods. 展开更多

As the air combat environment becomes more complicated and changeable, accurate threat assessment of air target has a significant impact on air defense operations. This paper proposes an improved generalized intuitionistic fuzzy soft set (GIFSS) method for dynamic assessment of air target threat. Firstly, the threat assessment index is reasonably determined by analyzing the typical characteristics of air targets. Secondly, after the GIFSS at different time is obtained, the index weight is determined by the intuitionistic fuzzy set entropy and the relative entropy theory. Then, the inverse Poisson distribution method is used to determine the weight of time series, and then the time-weighted GIFSS is obtained. Finally, threat assessment of five air targets is carried out by using the improved GIFSS (I-GIFSS) and comparison methods. The validity and superiority of the proposed method are verified by calculation and comparison. 展开更多
