It has been pointed out by the theoretic model of anion coordination polyhedra of growth units that the crystal form is dominated by the stability of combination of anion coordination polyhedra on the growth interface.The face has the fastest growth rate and disappears easily if the vertex of coordination polyhedron is pointed at.The face has the slowest growth rate and appears easily if the plane of coordination polyhedron is pointed at.The growth rate is in median for the face that the edge of coordination polyhedron is pointed at.A few of problems are discussed in the paper on the basis of this theory. (1)Several examples of the morphology of allomorph and homoeomorphism are given in the paper.There are three allomorphs of TiO 2 rutile,brookite and anatase.The morphology of these allomorphs are totally different because the stability of combination of octahedral [Ti O 6] 8- vary with the orientation and linked edges of coordination polyhedra.Another example is the homoeomorphism of cassiterite SnO 2.The orientation and combination of octahedral [Sn O 6] 8- in cassiterite are similar to that of octahedral [Ti O 6] 8- in rutile,so that cassiterite and rutile have similar morphology even for their form of twin and twin face.The combination of octahedral [Al O 6] 9- ,[Fe O 6] 9- and [Ti O 6] 8- respectively is similar at the orientation and linked form of coordination polyhedra in three crystals of corundum,hematite and ilmenite,so the same faces appear in these three crystals,resulted in similar morphology. 展开更多

Four future missions for deep space exploration and future space-based exoplanet surveys on habitable planets by 2030 are scheduled to be launched.Two Mars exploration missions are designed to investigate geological structure,the material on Martian surface,and retrieve returned samples.The asteroids and main belt comet exploration is expected to explore two objects within 10 years.The small-body mission will aim to land on the asteroid and get samples return to Earth.The basic physical characteristics of the two objects will be obtained through the mission.The exploration of Jupiter system will characterize the environment of Jupiter and the four largest Moons and understand the atmosphere of Jupiter.In addition,we further introduce two space-based exoplanet survey by 2030,Miyin Program and Closeby Habitable Exoplanet Survey(CHES Mission).Miyin program aims to detect habitable exoplanets using interferometry,while CHES mission expects to discover habitable exoplanets orbiting FGK stars within 10 pc through astrometry.The above-mentioned missions are positively to achieve breakthroughs in the field of planetary science. 展开更多

Process of crystal growth can be controlled by both surface kinetics and by volume transport as well.Although the complicated relation between the surface kinetics and volume transport exsits,generally,they are studied seprately.Due to the mathematical complexity of heat and mass transport equations,the in depth studies of heat and mass transport process become difficult.Most of the studies on the transport were performed for the growth from melt.Most of the work on Surface kinetics has been done for crystal growth from aqueous solution because the in situ observation of crystal growth is easily carried out.In recent years,the surface kinetics studies on the nanometer scale,even atomic scale,are demonstrated by using AFM. 展开更多

During 1984 to 1990, a comparative etiologic studyand primary prevention for stomach cancer was carriedout in a high risk area in Zhuanghe County of LiaoningProvince. Because of the increase of consumption of fr-esh vegetables and fruits (Protective factors), decreaseof eating salted pork and fishes which was verified tohave strong mutagenecity (risk factors), acute inflamma-tion and erosions accompanying with chronic gastritis havegot striking improvement. At the same time, serum betac-arotene also raised gradually. The authors stressed thatimprovement of economic situation and dietary habits mayplay an important role in primary prevention of precurso-res of stomach cancer but decrease of incidence of thiscancer is an event of 30 years or more later as the letentperiod of stomach cancer is rather long. 展开更多

The preparation of X-zeolite powder was investigated in hydrothermal system, the crystal growth process of X-zeolite in hydrothermal condition was characterized by means of X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope and infrared ray. The results show that X-zeolite powder with uniform granularity and intact crystal shape can be obtained in hydrothermal system of acid-treated stellerite KG-*5CD*2KG-*9NaOHKG-*5CD*2KG-*9NaAl(OH)4KG-*5CD*2KG-*9H2O; the crystallite size is in the range of 2CD*23μm. The best reaction time of hydrothermal preparation is 6h. The formation phases of X-zeolite crystal are as follows: dissolution of feedstocks → formation of [SiO4] 4- and [AlO4] 5- tetrahedron, many-membered ring, β cage → formation of crystal nucleus and nano-particle → aggregation growth of nano-particle → coalescence growth of crystallite. The crystal habits of X-zeolite are intimately related with crystallization orientation of β cage in crystal and with its coupling stability on every crystal face family. 展开更多
