The results show the characteristics of soil microbial community functional and structure diversity in invaded soils strongly changed by Solidago canadensis L. invasion. Solidago canadensis L. invasion tended to result in higher substrate richness, and functional diversity. As compared to the native and ecotones, average utilization of specific substrate guilds of soil microbe was the highest in Solidago canadensis L. monoculture. Soil microbial functional diversity in Solidago canadensis L. monoculture was distinctly separated from the native area and the ecotones. Aerobic bacteria, fungi and actinomycetes population significantly increased but anaerobic bacteria decreased in the soil with Solidago canadensis L. monoculture. The ratio of cyl9:0 to 18:1 co7 gradually declined but mono/sat and fung/bact PLFAs increased when Solidago canadensis L. became more dominant. The microbial community composition clearly separated the native soil from the invaded soils by PCA analysis, especially 18: lco7c, 16: lco7t, 16: lco5c and 18:2co6, 9 were present in higher concentrations for exotic soil. In conclusion, Solidago canadensis L. invasion could create better soil conditions by improving soil microbial community structure and functional diversity, which in turn was more conducive to the growth ofSolidago canadensis L.展开更多

Leaf width of exotic plants was significantly lower than that of native species. Leaf length, specific leaf area(SLA), single-leaf wet and dry weights, leaf moisture, and leaf thickness of exotic plants were also lower than those of native species but not significantly. The leaf shape index of exotic plants was higher than that of native species but not significantly. This implies that the relatively low leaf construction cost for exotic plants may play an important role in the success of their invasions. The higher leaf shape index and lower leaf width of exotic plants can enhance the efficiency of resource capture(especially sunlight capture) via adjustments to leaf shape and size, thereby increasing the survival of exotic plants. The plasticity indices of single-leaf wet weight and leaf thickness of exotic plants were significantly lower than those of native species. The lower phenotypic plasticity of single-leaf wet weight and leaf thickness of exotic plants may be the result of a cost to plasticity. That is, if the plasticity is too high, the fitness of plant species might be reduced sharply under unfavorable environments. Thus, lower plasticity of leaf functional traits may compensate for the negative impact of adverse environments and stabilize leaf construction costs for exotic plants. Moreover, reduced phenotypic plasticity might be one of the key competitive strategies by which exotic plants successfully invade new habitats. Overall, exotic plants did not always exhibit higher values of leaf functional traits or increased phenotypic plasticity of leaf functional traits compared with native species.展开更多

The results show that the influence of Nb on the geometric structure is little in terms of the plasticity, and with the increase of Nb content, the covalent bond strength remarkably reduces, and Ti-Al, Nb-M (M=Ti, Al) and other hybrid bonds enhance; meanwhile, the peak district increases and the pseudo-energy gap first decreases and then increases, the overall band structure narrows, the covalent bond and direction of bonds reduce. The population analysis also shows that the results are consistent with the electronic structure analysis. The density of states of TiAINb shows that Nb doping can enhance the activity of Al and benefit the form of Al2O3 film. All the calculations reveal that the room temperature plasticity and the antioxidation properties of the compounds can be improved with the Nb content of 8.33%-12.5% (mole fraction).展开更多

文摘The chemical compound 3-(N-ethylamino)isobutyl)trimethoxysilane(EAMS)modified titanium dioxide(TiO_(2)),producing EAMS-TiO_(2),which was encased in graphitic carbon nitride(GCN)and integrated into epoxy resin(EP).The protective properties of mild steel coated with this nanocomposite in a marine environment were assessedusing electrochemical techniques.Thermogravimetric analysis(TGA)and Cone calorimetry tests demonstrated thatGCN/EAMS-TiO_(2)significantly enhanced the flame retardancy of the epoxy coating, reducing peak heat release rate(PHRR)and total heat release(THR)values by 88%and 70%,respectively,compared to pure EP.Salt spray testsindicated reduced water absorption and improved corrosion resistance. The optimal concentration of 0.6 wt%GCNEAMS/TiO_(2)yielded the highest resistance, with the nanocomposite achieving a coating resistance of 7.50×10^(10)Ω·cm^(2)after 28 d in seawater. The surface resistance of EP-GCN/EAMS-TiO_(2)was over 99.9 times higher than pure EP after onehour in seawater.SECM analysis showed the lowest ferrous ion dissipation(1.0 nA)for EP-GCN/EAMS-TiO_(2)coatedsteel.FE-SEM and EDX analyses revealed improved breakdown products and a durable inert nanolayered covering.Thenanocomposite exhibited excellent water resistance(water contact angle of 167°)and strong mechanical properties, withadhesive strength increasing to 18.3 MPa after 28 d in seawater.EP-GCN/EAMS-TiO_(2)shows potential as a coatingmaterial for the shipping industry.
文摘Polarons are widely considered to play a crucial role in the charge transport and photocatalytic performance of materials, but the mechanisms of their formation and the underlying driving factors remain a matter of controversy. This study delves into the formation of polarons in different crystalline forms of TiO_(2) and their connection with the materials'structure.By employing density functional theory calculations with on-site Coulomb interaction correction(DFT+U),we provide a detailed analysis of the electronic polarization behavior in the anatase and rutile forms of TiO_(2).We focus on the polarization properties of defect-induced and photoexcited excess electrons on various TiO_(2) surfaces. The results reveal that the defect electrons can form small polarons on the anatase TiO_(2)(101)surface,while on the rutile TiO_(2)(110)surface,both small and large polarons(hybrid-state polarons)are formed.Photoexcited electrons are capable of forming both small and large polarons on the surfaces of both crystal types. The analysis indicates that the differences in polaron distribution are primarily determined by the intrinsic properties of the crystals;the structural and symmetry differences between anatase and rutile TiO_(2) lead to the distinct polaron behaviors.Further investigation suggests that the polarization behavior of defect electrons is also related to the arrangement of electron orbitals around the Ti atoms, while the polarization of photoexcited electrons is mainly facilitated by the lattice distortions. These findings elucidate the formation mechanisms of different types of polarons and may contribute to understanding the performance of TiO_(2)in different fields.

文摘Brain functional networks model the brain's ability to exchange information across different regions, aiding in the understanding of the cognitive process of human visual attention during target searching, thereby contributing to the advancement of camouflage evaluation. In this study, images with various camouflage effects were presented to observers to generate electroencephalography(EEG)signals, which were then used to construct a brain functional network. The topological parameters of the network were subsequently extracted and input into a machine learning model for training. The results indicate that most of the classifiers achieved accuracy rates exceeding 70%.Specifically,the Logistic algorithm achieved an accuracy of 81.67%.Therefore,it is possible to predict target camouflage effectiveness with high accuracy without the need to calculate discovery probability. The proposed method fully considers the aspects of human visual and cognitive processes, overcomes the subjectivity of human interpretation, and achieves stable and reliable accuracy.
文摘The effect of functionalized graphene on the growth and development of Vicia faba L.was investigated by analyzing its impact on the composition and diversity of the microbial community in rhizosphere peat soil.Seedlings of V.faba planted in this peat soil were treated with either distilled water(CK)or 25 mg·L^(−1)(G25)of functionalized graphene solution. Results showed that the height and root length of V.faba seedlings in the G25 group were significantly larger than those in CK group. The microbial com-munity was analyzed by amplifying and sequencing the 16S rRNA gene V_(3)-V_(4) region of bacteria and internal transcribed spacer re-gion of fungi in rhizosphere soil using Illumina MiSeq technology.Alpha and beta diversity analysis indicated that functionalized graphene increased the richness and diversity of bacteria and fungi in the V.faba rhizosphere peat soil. The abundances of three ni-trogen cycling-related bacteria,Hydrogenophaga,Sphingomonas and Nitrosomonadaceae, were also altered after treatment with the functionalized graphene. The relative abundance of Basilicum, related to soil phosphorus solubilization, decreased in the fungal com-munity,while the relative abundance of Clonostachys and Dimorphospora, which exhibited strong biological control over numerous fungal plant pathogens, nematodes and insects, increased in the soil after functionalized graphene treatment.Redundancy analysis re-vealed that the potential of hydrogen(pH),organic matter, and total phosphorus contributed the most to the changes in bacterial and fungal community composition in the rhizosphere soil.Overall, our findings suggested that the addition of functionalized graphene altered the relative abundances of nitrogen and phosphorus cycling-related microorganisms in peat soil, promoting changes in the physicochemical properties of the soil and ultimately leading to the improved growth of V.faba plants.
文摘For language users, meaning is the central fact about language, and meaning emerges from a seamless union of wording and context.Functional Grammar attempts to face that uncomfortable fact head-on and to establish a unified model of language which in principle allows the links to be made within the same description.

文摘The relationship between Solidago canadensis L. invasion and soil microbial community diversity including functional and structure diversities was studied across the invasive gradients varying from 0 to 40%, 80%, and 100% coverage of Solidago canadensis L. using sole carbon source utilization profiles analyses, principle component analysis (PCA) and phospholipid fatty acids (PLFA) profiles analyses. In conclusion, Solidago canadensis L. invasion could create better soil conditions by improving soil microbial community structure and functional diversity, which in turn was more conducive to the growth ofSolidago canadensis L.

文摘This study aims to determine the differences in leaf functional traits and phenotypic plasticity of leaf functional traits between exotic and native Compositae plant species. Overall, exotic plants did not always exhibit higher values of leaf functional traits or increased phenotypic plasticity of leaf functional traits compared with native species.
文摘Non lubricated slide performance of functional grade copper matrix composite, fabricated using horizontal centrifuge cast technique was investigated using pin-on-disc tribo-tester.Rate of wear and friction coefficient of the inner wall thickness of hollow cylindrical cast specimen was analyzed using Taguchi based L27 orthogonal array, where the percentage of graphite particles were observed higher.Variable process parameters those influenced the rate of wear directly or indirectly were:applied load(15,25 and 35 N),slide velocity(1.5,2.5 and 3.5 m/s)and slide distance(750,1500 and 2250 m).Rate of wear and friction coefficient showed a proportional dependency with applied load and slide distance, whereas showing a decline during intermediate slide velocity.Signal-to-Noise ratio predicted the minimal tribo-condition,on‘smaller-the-better’basis.Analysis of Variance technique quantified the influence of affecting parameters, along with their interactions.Regression analysis was utilized for the validation of the experimental data.Micrographs and scanning electron microscopy exhibited the wear mechanisms and mechanically mixed layer formation during worn surfaces analysis.

文摘Because co-occurring native and invasive plants are subjected to similar environmental selection pressures, the differences in functional traits and reproductive allocation strategies between native and invasive plants may be closely related to the success of the latter.Accordingly, this study examines differences in functional traits and reproductive allocation strategies between native and invasive plants in Eastern China.Plant height, branch number, reproductive branch number, the belowground-to-aboveground biomass ratio, and the reproductive allocation coefficient of invasive plants were all notably higher than those of native species.Additionally, the specific leaf area(SLA)values of invasive plants were remarkably lower than those of native species.Plasticity indexes of SLA,maximum branch angle, and branch number of invasive plants were each notably lower than those of native species. The reproductive allocation coefficient was positively correlated with reproductive branch number and the belowground-to-aboveground biomass ratio but exhibited negative correlations with SLA and aboveground biomass.Plant height, branch number, reproductive branch number, the belowground-to-aboveground biomass ratio, and the reproductive allocation coefficient of invasive plants may strongly influence the success of their invasions.

文摘The control law design for a near-space hypersonic vehicle(NHV) is highly challenging due to its inherent nonlinearity, plant uncertainties and sensitivity to disturbances. This paper presents a novel functional link network(FLN) control method for an NHV with dynamical thrust and parameter uncertainties. The approach devises a new partially-feedback-functional-link-network(PFFLN) adaptive law and combines it with the nonlinear generalized predictive control(NGPC) algorithm. The PFFLN is employed for approximating uncertainties in flight. Its weights are online tuned based on Lyapunov stability theorem for the first time. The learning process does not need any offline training phase.Additionally,a robust controller with an adaptive gain is designed to offset the approximation error. Finally, simulation results show a satisfactory performance for the NHV attitude tracking, and also illustrate the controller's robustness.

文摘Based on the pseudo potential plane-wave method of density functional theory (DFT), Ti1-xNbxAk (x=0, 0.062 5, 0.083 3, 0.125, 0.250) crystals' geometry structure, elastic constants, electronic structure and Mulliken populations were calculated, and the effects of doping on the geometric structure, electronic structure and bond strength were systematically analyzed. All the calculations reveal that the room temperature plasticity and the antioxidation properties of the compounds can be improved with the Nb content of 8.33%-12.5% (mole fraction).

文摘Wetting condition of micro/nanostructured surface has received tremendous attention due to the potential applications in commercial, industrial, and military areas.Surfaces with extreme wetting properties,e.g.,superhydrophobic or superhydrophilic, are extensively employed due to their superior anti-icing,drag reduction, enhanced boiling heat transfer,self-cleaning,and anti-bacterial properties depending on solid-liquid interfacial interactions.Laser-based techniques have gained popularity in recent years to create micro/nano-structured surface owing to their high flexibility, system precision, and ease for automation. These techniques create laser induced periodic surface structures(LIPSS)or hierarchical structures on substrate material.However,micro/nanostructures alone cannot attain the desired wettability.Subsequent modification of surface chemistry is essentially needed to achieve target extreme wettability. This review paper aims to provide a comprehensive review for both laser texturing techniques and the following chemistry modification methods.Recent research progress and fundamental mechanisms of surface structure generation via different types of lasers and various chemistry modification methods are discussed. The complex combination between the laser texturing and surface chemistry modification methods to decide the final wetting condition is presented.More importantly, surface functionalities of these surfaces with extreme wetting properties are discussed.Lastly, prospects for future research are proposed and discussed.
