“蜡烛”的国俗语义 去年(1992)一月,我在对外汉语教学研讨会上的简短发言中,谈到国俗语义教学的重要性,举了“蜡烛”一词为例,略加说明,引起与会者的兴趣。同月,我在主持研究生论文答辩时,谈到跨文化言语交际,又举了这个例子,答辩委...“蜡烛”的国俗语义 去年(1992)一月,我在对外汉语教学研讨会上的简短发言中,谈到国俗语义教学的重要性,举了“蜡烛”一词为例,略加说明,引起与会者的兴趣。同月,我在主持研究生论文答辩时,谈到跨文化言语交际,又举了这个例子,答辩委员濮之珍教授、童宪刚教授也兴趣盎然,连声说妙。现在我把这个例子说得更详细一些。 “蜡烛”的实体词汇意义是“蜡制的照明物”,英语叫Candle。“蜡烛”和Candle两词的“蜡制照明物”的词汇意义相同;有时由它们分别构成的熟语整体意义也相似,例如:hold a candle to the sun(“拿着蜡烛照太阳”)和“秃子头上点灯—白赞蜡”都有“白费、徒劳”的含义。但是,一涉及到与民族文化色彩有关的国俗语义,这两个词的意义和用法就不能一一对应了。展开更多

Adjuvants can be separated into two groups, activator adjuvants and utility adjuvants. The former directly enhances the efficacy of a herbicide through increasement of herbicide absorption, spreading, cuticular penetration, rainfastness and retention enhancement, and photodegradation of the herbicide can also be decreased. And the latter is utilized for improving application characteristics, behaviors and physical properties of herbicides and reducing or minimizing unwanted side effects on application.展开更多
Fly ash is the most inexpensive cementitious material,and its presence in concrete has increased in recent years because it has become more durable and environmentally friendly.This study examines densified mixture co...Fly ash is the most inexpensive cementitious material,and its presence in concrete has increased in recent years because it has become more durable and environmentally friendly.This study examines densified mixture concrete and the effect of fly ash quality on high-flow,high-strength concrete.Tests show that when the same mixture achieves identical flow standards(slump >250 mm;slump flow >600 mm),the fly ash quality affects the nature of the concrete;additionally,and adding Class F fly ash to concrete(loss on ignition=6%)is more workable than adding Class C fly ash(loss on ignition=3%).However,adding fly ash with a high loss on ignition(9%)to concrete requires a substantial increase in the mixing water and a dose of superplasticizer to achieve the required workability.This reduces the quality of the concrete,which subsequently deteriorates its safety and durability.展开更多

Vacuum steam stripping of methyl isobutyl ketone （MIBK） and methyl ethyl ketone （MEK） from cathodic electrophoretic emulsion was studied. The effects of mass ratio of vapor to feed （V/F）, vacuum degree and feed temperature on removal rate of MIBK and MEK, emulsion size and solid volume fraction of the emulsion were investigated, and the removal of MIBK and MEK from cathodic electrophoretic emulsion by vacuum desorption was also studied. The results show that removal rates of both MIBK and MEK increase with the increase of V/F, vacuum degree and feed temperature. Removal rates of MIBK and MEK are 98.3% and 93.6%, respectively, at the operating condition V/F of 0.7, feed temperature of 27℃ and vacuum degree of 90 kPa. The emulsion size of cathodic electrophoretic emulsion increases slightly with feed temperature when temperature is below 42 ℃, and increases rapidly with feed temperature when temperature is above 42℃. Solid volume fraction increases by 10% as vacuum degree increases from 0 to 90 kPa at V/F of 0.7 and feed temperature of 27 ℃. Compared with vacuum desorption, vacuum steam stripping can get a higher removal rate of MIBK and MEK under the same feed flow, vacuum degree and feed temperature.展开更多
