EFL(English as a foreign language) materials and textbooks are important factors in many language programs and making judgments about their needs meticulous book evaluation. In china, different coursebooks are used for teaching general and technical English to students at the vocational colleges. Despite the great use of these textbooks and dominance of post method in EFL classrooms,it is not yet known to what extent the principles of particularity, possibility, and practicality are observed in the currently practiced EFL coursebooks at the vocational colleges. The main objectives of the present paper are to evaluate and analyze the feature of the course to figure out whether the principles of teaching method have been applied in these coursebooks or not.展开更多

The evaluation analysis is prima...The paper is to do a comparative evaluation on the four major digital theses and dissertations management systems used in the China's Mainland, which are TRS, TPI,TASi and IDL-ETD. The evaluation analysis is primarily based on the systematic tests on these systems conducted by DUT(Dalian University of Technology) Library. Special focuses are on the distinctive features of each system such as their performance in terms of stability, reliability, openness, capacity of backdating, copyright protection, service monitoring, document conversion and release automation, log management, statistical tabulations, vendor's technical support and so on. In addition, authors provide a statistics on the choice of academic dissertation system of most 985a)colleges and universities in China.展开更多
