Monitoring the ecology and physiology of corals,sediments,planktons,and microplastic at a suitable spatial resolution is of great importance in oceanic scientific research.To meet this requirement,an underwater micros...Monitoring the ecology and physiology of corals,sediments,planktons,and microplastic at a suitable spatial resolution is of great importance in oceanic scientific research.To meet this requirement,an underwater microscope with an electrically controlled variable lens was designed and tested.The captured microscopic images of corals,sediments,planktons,and microplastic revealed their physical,biological,and morphological characteristics.Further studies of the images also revealed the growth,degradation,and bleaching patterns of corals;the presence of plankton communities;and the types of microplastics.The imaging performance is majorly influenced by the choice of lenses,camera selection,and lighting method.Image dehazing,global saturation masks,and image histograms were used to extract the image features.Fundamental experimental proof was obtained with micro-scale images of corals,sediments,planktons,and microplastic at different magnifications.The designed underwater microscope can provide relevant new insights into the observation and detection of the future conditions of aquatic ecosystems.展开更多
Coral reef-like Ni/Al2O3 catalysts were prepared by co-precipitation of nickel acetate and aluminium nitrate with sodium carbonate aqueous solution in the medium of ethylene glycolye.Methanation of syngas was carried ...Coral reef-like Ni/Al2O3 catalysts were prepared by co-precipitation of nickel acetate and aluminium nitrate with sodium carbonate aqueous solution in the medium of ethylene glycolye.Methanation of syngas was carried out over coral reef-like Ni/Al2O3 catalysts in a continuous flow type fixed-bed reactor.The structure and properties of the fresh and used catalysts were studied by SEM,N2 adsorption-desorption,XRD,H2-TPR,O2-TPO,TG and ICP-AES techniques.The results showed that the coral reef-like Ni/Al2O3 catalysts exhibited better activity than the conventional Ni/Al2O3-H2O catalysts.The activities of coral reef-like catalysts were in the order of Ni/Al2O3-673Ni/Al2O3-573Ni/Al2O3- 473Ni/Al2O3-773.Ni/Al2O3-673-EG catalyst showed not only good activity and improved stability but also superior resistance to carbon deposition,sintering,and Ni loss.Under the reaction conditions of CO/H2(molar ratio)=1:3,593 K,atmospheric pressure and a GHSV of 2500 h-1,CH4 selectivity was 84.7%,and the CO conversion reached 98.2%.展开更多
On the basis of the three-dimensional(3D)random aggregate&mortar two-phase mesoscale finite element model,C++programming was used to identify the node position information of the interface between the aggregate an...On the basis of the three-dimensional(3D)random aggregate&mortar two-phase mesoscale finite element model,C++programming was used to identify the node position information of the interface between the aggregate and mortar elements.The nodes were discretized at this position and the zero-thickness cohesive elements were inserted.After that,the crack energy release rate fracture criterion based on the fracture mechanics theory was assigned to the failure criterion of the interface transition zone(ITZ)elements.Finally,the three-phase mesomechanical model based on the combined finite discrete element method(FDEM)was constructed.Based on this model,the meso-crack extension and macro-mechanical behaviour of coral aggregate concrete(CAC)under uniaxial compression were successfully simulated.The results demonstrated that the meso-mechanical model based on FDEM has excellent applicability to simulate the compressive properties of CAC.展开更多
