The combination way of the two optimizing algorithms was used in board allocating of furniture production. In the experiment, the rectangular flake board of 3650 mm 1850 mm was used as raw material to allocate 100 sets of Table Bucked. The utilizing rate of the board reached 94.14 % and the calculating time was only 35 s. In this work, a new approach for auto-design of artificial neural networks (ANN) based on a genetic algorithm (GA) is developed for predicting VGO saturates. The number of neurons in the hidden layer, the momentum and the learning rates are determined by using the genetic algorithm. The inputs for the artificial neural networks model are five physical properties, namely, average boiling point, density, molecular weight, viscosity and refractive index. It is verified that the genetic algorithm could find the optimal structural parameters and training parameters of ANN. In addition, an artificial neural networks model based on a genetic algorithm was tested and the results indicated that the VGO saturates can be efficiently predicted. Compared with conventional artificial neural networks models, this approach can improve the prediction accuracy.展开更多

In this study, two mathematical methods, regression analysis and Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs), were used to predict the uniaxial compressive strength and modulus of elasticity. The P-wave velocity, the point load index, the Schmidt hammer rebound number and porosity were used as inputs for both meth-ods. The regression equations show that the relationship between P-wave velocity, point load index, Schmidt hammer rebound number and the porosity input sets with uniaxial compressive strength and modulus of elasticity under conditions of linear rela-tions obtained coefficients of determination of (R2) of 0.64 and 0.56, respectively. ANNs were used to improve the regression re-sults. The generalized regression and feed forward neural networks with two outputs (UCS and E) improved the coefficients of determination to more acceptable levels of 0.86 and 0.92 for UCS and to 0.77 and 0.82 for E. The results show that the proposed ANN methods could be applied as a new acceptable method for the prediction of uniaxial compressive strength and modulus of elasticity of intact rocks.展开更多

The goal of this paper is to evaluate the use of artificial neural networks in the classification of proton transfer events, based on the feed-forward back propagation neural network, used as a classifier to distinguish between the two transfer cases. In this paper, we use a new developed data mining and pattern recognition tool for automating, controlling, and drawing charts of the output data of an Empirical Valence Bond existing code. The study analyzes the need for pattern recognition in aqueous proton transfer processes and how the learning approach in error back propagation (multilayer perceptron algorithms) could be satisfactorily employed in the present case. We present a tool for pattern recognition and validate the code including a real physical case study. The results of applying the artificial neural networks methodology to crowd patterns based upon selected physical properties (e.g., temperature, density) show the abilities of the network to learn proton transfer patterns corresponding to properties of the aqueous environments, which is in turn proved to be fully compatible with previous proton transfer studies.展开更多

文摘A hybrid identification model based on multilayer artificial neural networks(ANNs) and particle swarm optimization(PSO) algorithm is developed to improve the simultaneous identification efficiency of thermal conductivity and effective absorption coefficient of semitransparent materials. For the direct model, the spherical harmonic method and the finite volume method are used to solve the coupled conduction-radiation heat transfer problem in an absorbing, emitting, and non-scattering 2D axisymmetric gray medium in the background of laser flash method. For the identification part, firstly, the temperature field and the incident radiation field in different positions are chosen as observables. Then,a traditional identification model based on PSO algorithm is established. Finally, multilayer ANNs are built to fit and replace the direct model in the traditional identification model to speed up the identification process. The results show that compared with the traditional identification model, the time cost of the hybrid identification model is reduced by about 1 000 times.Besides, the hybrid identification model remains a high level of accuracy even with measurement errors.

文摘To detect radioactive substances with low activity levels,an anticoincidence detector and a high-purity germanium(HPGe)detector are typically used simultaneously to suppress Compton scattering background, thereby resulting in an extremely low detection limit and improving the measurement accuracy. However, the complex and expensive hardware required does not facilitate the application or promotion of this method. Thus,a method is proposed in this study to discriminate the digital waveform of pulse signals output using an HPGe detector, whereby Compton scattering background is suppressed and a low minimum detectable activity(MDA)is achieved without using an expensive and complex anticoincidence detector and device. The electric-field-strength and energy-deposition distributions of the detector are simulated to determine the relationship between pulse shape and energy-deposition location,as well as the characteristics of energy-deposition distributions for fulland partial-energy deposition events. This relationship is used to develop a pulse-shape-discrimination algorithm based on an artificial neural network for pulse-feature identification. To accurately determine the relationship between the deposited energy of gamma(γ)rays in the detector and the deposition location,we extract four shape parameters from the pulse signals output by the detector.Machine learning is used to input the four shape parameters into the detector.Subsequently, the pulse signals are identified and classified to discriminate between partial-and full-energy deposition events. Some partial-energy deposition events are removed to suppress Compton scattering. The proposed method effectively decreases the MDA of an HPGeγ-energy dispersive spectrometer.Test results show that the Compton suppression factors for energy spectra obtained from measurements on ^(152)Eu,^(137)Cs,and ^(60)Co radioactive sources are 1.13(344 keV),1.11(662 keV),and 1.08(1332 keV),respectively, and that the corresponding MDAs are 1.4%,5.3%,and 21.6%lower,respectively.
文摘A system based on a PV-Wind will ensure better efficiency and flexibility using lower energy production.Today, plenty of work is being focussed on Doubly Fed Induction Generators(DFIG)utilized in wind energy systems.DFIG is found to be the best option in the Wind Energy Conversion Systems(WECS)to mitigate the issues caused by power converters. In this work,a new Artificial Neural Network(ANN)is proposed with the Diffusion and Dispersal strategy that works on Maximum Power Point Tracking(MPPT)along with Wind Energy Conversion System(WECS)to minimize electrical faults. The controller focus was not just to increase performance but also to reduce damage owing to any phase to phase fault or Phase to phase to ground fault. To ensure optimal MPPT for the proposed WECS,ANN achieves the optimal PI controller parameters for the indirect control of active and reactive power of DFIG.The optimal allocation and size of the DGs within the distributed system and for MPPT control are obtained using a population of agents. The generated solutions are evaluated and on being successful, the agents test their hypothesis again to create a positive feedback mechanism.Simulations are carried out,and the proposed IoT framework efficiency indicates performance improvement and faster recovery against faults by 9 percent for phase to ground fault and by 7.35 percent for phase to phase fault.
文摘A forest fire is a severe threat to forest resources and human life, In this paper, we propose a forest-fire detection system that has an artificial neural network algorithm implemented in a wireless sensor network (WSN). The proposed detection system mitigates the threat of forest fires by provide accurate fire alarm with low maintenance cost. The accuracy is increased by the novel multi- criteria detection, referred to as an alarm decision depends on multiple attributes of a forest fire. The multi-criteria detection is implemented by the artificial neural network algorithm. Meanwhile, we have developed a prototype of the proposed system consisting of the solar batter module, the fire detection module and the user interface module.
文摘The high thermal conductivity of the nanoparticles in hybrid nanofluids results in enhanced thermal conductivity associated with their base fluids.Enhanced heat transfer is a result of this high thermal conductivity, which has significant applications in heat exchangers and engineering devices. To optimize heat transfer,a liquid film of Cu and TiO_(2)hybrid nanofluid behind a stretching sheet in a variable porous medium is being considered due to its importance. The nature of the fluid is considered time-dependent and the thickness of the liquid film is measured variable adjustable with the variable porous space and favorable for the uniform flow of the liquid film. The solution of the problem is acquired using the homotopy analysis method HAM,and the artificial neural network ANN is applied to obtain detailed information in the form of error estimation and validations using the fitting curve analysis.HAM data is utilized to train the ANN in this study, which uses Cu and TiO_(2)hybrid nanofluids in a variable porous space for unsteady thin film flow, and it is used to train the ANN.The results indicate that Cu and TiO_(2)play a greater role in boosting the rate.
文摘A model based on the non-linear artificial neural network (ANN) is established to predict the thickness of the water film on road surfaces. The weight and the threshold can be determined by training test data, and the water film thickness on the road surface can be accurately predicted by the empirical verification based on sample data. Results show that the proposed ANN model is feasible to predict the water film thickness of the road surface.
文摘In this paper a novel class of neural networks called generalized congruence neural networks (GCNN) is proposed. All neurons in the neural networks are activated in the form of congruence. The architectures, learning rules and two algorithms are presented. Simulation results indicate that such network has satisfactory generalization properties near the sample points. Since this kind of neural nets can be easily operated and implemented, it is appropriate to make further research concerning the theory and applications of GCNN.
