A completely straight vortex and the steady and symmetrical multiple-vortex configurations are obtained. We analyse the effect of initial conditions and angular velocity on the number and shape of vortices.展开更多

Different from other audio coding approaches, the distance side information is also quantified, and the non-uniform perceptual quantization is proposed based on the spatial perception features of the human auditory system, which is named as concentric spheres spatial quantization(CSSQ) method. Comparison results were presented, which showed that a better distance perceptual quality of 3D audio can be enhanced by 5.7%~8.8% through extracting and coding the distance side information comparing with the directional audio coding, and the bit rate of our coding method is decreased of 8.07% comparing with the spatial squeeze surround audio coding.展开更多

It is found that because the induced polarization is sensitive to the atomic velocity, there exists interference between polarizations of atoms with different velocities, leading to significant modification of the NFWM spectra. This polarization interference can be controlled through applying an additional coupling field.展开更多

In this atoms and cavities is required, the cavity fields are only virtually excited and thus the cavity decay is suppressed during the generation of cluster states. The atoms are always populated in the two ground states. Therefore, the scheme is insensitive to the atomic spontaneous emission and cavity decay. We also show how to transfer quantum information from one atom to another.展开更多

In this scheme, there is no transfer of quantum information between the SQUIDs and the cavity, the cavity is always in the vacuum and thus the requirement on the quality of cavity is greatly loosened. In addition, during the process of the generation of the W entangled state, the present method does not involve a real excitation of intermediate levels. Thus, decoherence due to energy relaxation of intermediate levels is minimized.展开更多
