Through the process of solid solution strengthening—cold deformation—nitriding at 400℃, the TC4 alloy is nitrided on surface and dispersion strengthened in bulk at the same time. The white nitriding layer is formed after some time of nitriding. The nitriding speed increases with the deformation degree. The construction was investigated by XRD and the nitride is Ti3N(2-X). The wear test was carried out and results exhibit that the nitrided samples have better wear resistance.展开更多

It is found that the transmission features can be regulated by the cavity width and coupling distance. Electromagnetically induced transparency(EIT)-like transmission can be excited by adding an identical resonator on the pre-existing structure. Combining the foregoing theoretical analysis with coupled mode theory(CMT), the formation process of the EIT-like transmission was detailedly analyzed. EIT-like transmission can also be excited in plasmonic structure with two detuned resonators. By altering the structure parameters, the transparency window can be purposefully modulated. With the merits of compact structure and simplicity in fabrication, the proposed structures may have a broad prospect of applications in highly integrated optical circuits.展开更多

Single particle-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(SP-ICP-MS) was investigated to detect the size of gold nanoparticles(Au NPs) in this work. Discrimination of particle signal and iterative algorithm were used to calculate the baseline of particle signal. Influence of dwell time was discussed and 3 ms was selected as dwell time for size detection. Different Au NPs standards(30, 60, 80 and 100 nm) and mixed samples(60 and 100 nm) were determined by SP-ICP-MS and the accuracy was confirmed with reference values. The particle size detection limit was 19 nm in ultrapure water(UP water) and 31 nm in 0.1 μg/L Au^(3+) solution. Stability of Au NPs in ultrapure water and natural water samples was investigated by detecting size variation of AuN Ps. The result shows that Au NPs are stable in aqueous environment for 6 d but degraded after 30 d.展开更多

At the beginning, the samples were decomposed by HNO3 and H2504, and then analyzed by SF-ICP-MS. Most of the spectral interferences could be avoided by measuring in different mass resolution modes. The matrix effects due to the excess of sulfuric acid and Mn were evaluated. Correction of matrix effects was conducted by using the internal standard elements. The optimum condition for the determination was investigated and discussed. The detection limit is in the range of 0.001-0.169 gg/L. The current method is applied to the determination of trace impurities in electrolytic manganese metal. And experiments show that good results can be obtained much faster, more accurately and conveniently by current method.展开更多

The possibility to synthesize Al-Mg-Zr alloys through mechanical alloying and spark plasma sintering techniques was explored. Al-10Mg-5Zr and Al-5Mg-1Zr alloyed powders were synthesized through wet ball milling the appropriate amount of elemental powders. The dried milled powders were spark plasma sintered through passing constant pulsed electric current with fixed pulse duration at a pressure of 35 MPa. The samples were vacuum sintered at 450, 500, 550, 600 and 620 ℃ for 10, 15 and 20 min. The Al-10Mg-5Zr alloy displays poor densification at lower sintering temperatures of 450, 500, 550 and 600 ℃. Its sinterability is improved at a temperature of 620 ℃ whereas sintering temperatures higher than 620 ℃ leads to partial melting of the alloy. It is possible to sinter the Al-5Mg-1Zr alloy at 450, 500 and 550 ℃. The increase of sintering temperature improves its densification and increases its hardness. The Al-5Mg-IZr alloy displays better densification and hardness compared to Al-10Mg-5Zr alloys.展开更多
