Aiming at the problem of deep surrounding rock instability induced by roadway excavation or mining disturbance,the true triaxial loading system was used to conduct graded cyclic maximum principal stress σ_(1) and intermediate principal stress σ_(2) tests on sandstone to simulate the effect of mining stress in actual underground engineering.The influences of each principal stress cycle on the mechanical properties,acoustic emission(AE)characteristics,and fracture characteristics of sandstone were analyzed.The damage characteristics of sandstone under true triaxial cyclic loading were studied.Furthermore,the damage constitutive model of rock mass under true triaxial cyclic loading was established based on AE cumulative ringing count.The quantitative investigation was conducted on cumulative-damage changes in circulating sandstone,which elucidated the mechanism of damage deterioration in sandstone subjected to true triaxial cyclic loading.The results show that the influence of the graded cycleσ_(1) on limit maximum principal strain ɛ_(1max) and limit minimum principal strainɛ_(3max) was significantly greater than that of the limit intermediate principal strain ɛ_(2max).Graded cycleσ_(2) had a greater impact onɛ_(2max) and a smaller impact onɛ_(3max).The elasticity modulus of sandstone decreased exponentially with the increased cyclic load amplitude,while the Poisson ratio increased linearly.b of AE showed a trend of increasing,decreasing,slightly fluctuating,and finally decreasing during cyclingσ_(1).b showed a trend of slight fluctuation,large fluctuation,and finally increase during cyclingσ_(2).Sandstone specimens experienced mainly tensile failure,tensile-shear composite failure,and mainly shear failure with increased initialσ_(2) orσ_(3).This was determined by analyzing the rise angle-average frequency of the AE parameter,corresponding to the rock specimens from splitting failure to shear failure.Besides,the mechanical damage behavior of sandstone under true triaxial cyclic loading could be well described by the established constitutive model.At the same time,it was found that the sandstone damage variable decreased with increasedσ_(2) during cyclingσ_(1).The damage variable decreased first and then increased with increasedσ_(3) during cyclingσ_(2). 展开更多

Asymmetric connectedness between China’s carbon and energy markets based on TVP-VAR model

An intuitive portrayal of the correlation between the carbon and energy markets is essential for risk control and green financial investment management.In this paper,we investigate the asymmetric spillovers between the carbon mar-ket and energy market returns.To achieve that,we improve the Diebold-Yilmaz index model by a time-varying vector autoregressive(TVP-VAR)model.In a unified network,our daily dataset includes the closing prices of the Hubei carbon market,Shenzhen carbon market,coal futures,and energy stock index.The findings reveal that both the Hubei and Shen-zhen pilots typically generate net information spillovers on energy futures.In connection with energy stocks,the Hubei carbon market acts as a net receiver,while the Shenzhen carbon market is a net transmitter.Compared with the Hubei pi-lot,the Shenzhen pilot is more tightly connected to the energy markets.Furthermore,the spillovers of the carbon markets exhibit significant asymmetry.In most cases,they have more substantial impacts on the energy markets when the prices of emission allowances rise.The direction and magnitude of asymmetric spillovers across markets vary over time and can be influenced by certain economic or political events. 展开更多

A knowledge-based network for Section Yidong Bridge,Dongyang River,one tributary of Qiantang River,Zhejiang Province,China,is established in order to model water quality in areas under small data.Then,based on normal transformation of variables with routine monitoring data and normal assumption of variables without routine monitoring data,a conditional linear Gaussian Bayesian network is constructed.A "two-constraint selection" procedure is proposed to estimate potential parameter values under small data.Among all potential parameter values,the ones that are most probable are selected as the "representatives".Finally,the risks of pollutant concentration exceeding national water quality standards are calculated and pollution reduction decisions for decision-making reference are proposed.The final results show that conditional linear Gaussian Bayesian network and "two-constraint selection" procedure are very useful in evaluating risks when there is limited data and can help managers to make sound decisions under small data. 展开更多

Deformation characteristics of light weight soil with different EPS (expanded polystyrene) sizes were investigated by consolidation tests.The results show that the confined stress-strain relation curve is in S shape,which has a good homologous relation with e-p curve and e-lgp curve,and three types of curves reflect obvious structural characteristics of light weight soil.When cement mixed ratio and EPS volume ratio are the same for different specimens,structural strength decreases with the increase of EPS size,but compressibility indexes basically keep unchanged within the structural strength.The settlement of light weight soil can be divided into instantaneous settlement and primary consolidation settlement.It has no obvious rheology property,and 90% of total consolidation deformation can be finished in 1 min.Settlement-time relation of light weight soil can be predicted by the hyperbolic model.S-lgt curve of light weight soil is not in anti-S shape.It is proved that there is no secondary consolidation section,so consolidation coefficient cannot be obtained by time logarithm method.Structural strength and unit price decrease with the increase of EPS size,but the reducing rate of the structural strength is lower than that of the unit price,so the cost of mixed soil can be reduced by increasing the EPS size.The EPS beads with 3-5 mm in diameter are suggested to be used in the construction process,and the prescription of mixed soil can be optimized. 展开更多

Regarding excavation-damaged zone (EDZ) around underground opening as non-homogeneous rockmass with spatial deterioration effect on stuffiness and strength, a parametric model of EDZ using radius-displacement-dependent deformation modulus (RDDM) was proposed. Considering the nonlinearity characteristic of deformation and locality otherness of surrounding rock, deterioration parameter field of deformation modulus of rockmass around opening was quantitatively calculated through a given function. Applicability for multi-cavern condition and parameter sensibility of the model was analyzed by numerical experiments using synthetic data. Furthermore, the model was applied to identify EDZ of underground caverns of Pubugou hydropower station by calculating deterioration parameter field. Based on the parametric analysis of spatial effect and geological investigation, it is recognized that large radial deformation of deep fractured rock at the spandrel position and insufficient supporting bolts mainly result in great deformation pressure to act on the shotcrete and cause partial crack and spalling. It is shown that deterioration parameter field along the longitudinal axis of main powerhouse is evidently non-homogeneous in space and distributes exponentially along the radius from the opening. The model provides a simple and convenient way to identify the EDZ in the working state for rapid construction feedback analysis and support optimization of underground cavem from quantitative point of view and also aids in interpreting monitoring displacements and estimating support requirements. 展开更多

Spatiotemporal interpolation of precipitation across Xinjiang, China using space-time CoKriging 被引量:1

In various environmental studies, geoscience variables not only have the characteristics of time and space, but also are influenced by other variables. Multivariate spatiotemporal variables can improve the accuracy of spatiotemporal estimation. Taking the monthly mean ground observation data of the period 1960–2013 precipitation in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China, the spatiotemporal distribution from January to December in 2013 was respectively estimated by space-time Kriging and space-time CoKriging. Modeling spatiotemporal direct variograms and a cross variogram was a key step in space-time CoKriging. Taking the monthly mean air relative humidity of the same site at the same time as the covariates, the spatiotemporal direct variograms and the spatiotemporal cross variogram of the monthly mean precipitation for the period 1960–2013 were modeled. The experimental results show that the space-time CoKriging reduces the mean square error by 31.46% compared with the space-time ordinary Kriging. The correlation coefficient between the estimated values and the observed values of the space-time CoKriging is 5.07% higher than the one of the space-time ordinary Kriging. Therefore, a space-time CoKriging interpolation with air humidity as a covariate improves the interpolation accuracy. 展开更多

The parameter cha... A kind of hybrid reliability model is presented to solve the fatigue reliability problems of steel bridges. The cumulative damage model is one kind of the models used in fatigue reliability analysis. The parameter characteristics of the model can be described as probabilistic and interval. The two-stage hybrid reliability model is given with a theoretical foundation and a solving algorithm to solve the hybrid reliability problems. The theoretical foundation is established by the consistency relationships of interval reliability model and probability reliability model with normally distributed variables in theory. The solving process is combined with the definition of interval reliability index and the probabilistic algorithm. With the consideration of the parameter characteristics of the S-N curve, the cumulative damage model with hybrid variables is given based on the standards from different countries. Lastly, a case of steel structure in the Neville Island Bridge is analyzed to verify the applicability of the hybrid reliability model in fatigue reliability analysis based on the AASHTO. 展开更多

The undrained mechanical behavior of unsaturated completely weathered granite(CWG)is highly susceptible to alterations in the hydraulic environment,particularly under uniaxial loading conditions,due to the unique nature of this soil type.In this study,a series of unconfined compression tests were carried out on unsaturated CWG soil in an underground engineering site,and the effects of varying the environmental variables on the main undrained mechanical properties were analyzed.Based on the experimental results,a novel constitutive model was then established using the damage mechanics theory and the undetermined coefficient method.The results demonstrate that the curves of remolded CWG specimens with different moisture contents and dry densities exhibited diverse characteristics,including brittleness,significant softening,and ductility.As a typical indicator,the unconfined compression strength of soil specimens initially increased with an increase in moisture content and then decreased.Meanwhile,an optimal moisture content of approximately 10.5%could be observed,while a critical moisture content value of 13.0%was identified,beyond which the strength of the specimen decreases sharply.Moreover,the deformation and fracture of CWG specimens were predominantly caused by shear failure,and the ultimate failure modes were primarily influenced by moisture content rather than dry density.Furthermore,by comparing several similar models and the experimental data,the proposed model could accurately replicate the undrained mechanical characteristics of unsaturated CWG soil,and quantitatively describe the key mechanical indexes.These findings offer a valuable reference point for understanding the underlying mechanisms,anticipating potential risks,and implementing effective control measures in similar underground engineering projects. 展开更多
