The techniques for measuring the trajectory and movement direction of drag anchors in soils, the techniques for measuring the moving embedment point and reverse eatenary shape of the embedded drag line, the penetration mechanism and kinematic behavior of drag anchors, the ultimate embedment depth of drag anchors, the movement direction of the anchor with an arbitrary fluke section, the reverse catenary properties of the embedded drag line, the interaetional properties between drag anchor and installation line, the kinematic model of drag anchors in seabed soils, and the analytical method for predicting the anchor trajectory in soils will all be examined. The present work remarkably reduces the uncertainties in design and analysis of drag embedment plate anchors, and is beneficial to improving the application of this new type of drag anchor in offshore engineering.展开更多
Service composition is considered to be an effective way for resource sharing and node collaboration in Mobile Ad hoc NETworks (MANETs) environment.In order to improve the reliability and shorten the response time of ...Service composition is considered to be an effective way for resource sharing and node collaboration in Mobile Ad hoc NETworks (MANETs) environment.In order to improve the reliability and shorten the response time of composite services,this paper first analyzes the node environments and network environments that affect the component services' availability,and then proposes an Environment-aware Quantitative Evaluation Model for Service Availability (EQEM-SA).In addition,based on EQEM-SA,a service field concept is proposed as well as the availability attenuation equation,where the availability value is considered as the field strength.Then the service selection approach based on service field model is presented.The effectiveness of the proposed approach is illustrated and compared with related references,and the results of experimental evaluations indicate that our approach significantly reduces the failure rate and shortens the service delay.展开更多

The aim of the model,...To accurately describe the evolving features of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) and to improve the performance of such networks, an evolving topology model with local-area preference is proposed. The aim of the model, which is analyzed by the mean field theory, is to optimize network structures based on users' behaviors in MANETs. The analysis results indicate that the network generated by this evolving model is a kind of scale-free network. This evolving model can improve the fault-tolerance performance of networks by balancing the connectivity and two factors, i.e., the remaining energy and the distance to nodes. The simulation results show that the evolving topology model has superior performance in reducing the traffic load and the energy consumption, prolonging network lifetime and improving the scalability of networks. Existing research on data collection using wireless mobile vehicle network emphasizes the reliable delivery of information.However,other performance requirements such as life cycle of nodes,stability and security are ...Existing research on data collection using wireless mobile vehicle network emphasizes the reliable delivery of information.However,other performance requirements such as life cycle of nodes,stability and security are not set as primary design objectives.This makes data collection ability of vehicular nodes in real application environment inferior.By considering the features of nodes in wireless IoV,such as large scales of deployment,volatility and low time delay,an efficient data collection algorithm is proposed for mobile vehicle network environment.An adaptive sensing model is designed to establish vehicular data collection protocol.The protocol adopts group management in model communication.The vehicular sensing node in group can adjust network sensing chain according to sensing distance threshold with surrounding nodes.It will dynamically choose a combination of network sensing chains on basis of remaining energy and location characteristics of surrounding nodes.In addition,secure data collection between sensing nodes is undertaken as well.The simulation and experiments show that the vehicular node can realize secure and real-time data collection.Moreover,the proposed algorithm is superior in vehicular network life cycle,power consumption and reliability of data collection by comparing to other algorithms.展开更多

Therefore, we first describe two different heterogeneous network models, and capture the heterogeneity which concern mobile nodes' contact dynamics under the individual models and the spatial models. Then we investigate inter-contact time is not fully follow exponential distribution and compare the performance of the delivery delay between direct forwarding protocol and three-hop forwarding protocol under three network models. We illustrate the performance of message delivery delay under the spray and wait protocol and prophet protocol from simulation results. Our simulation results show that the heterogeneity should be considered for the performance of forwarding protocols.展开更多
