番禺35-1/2水下生产设施项目是中国首次全面采用水下生产系统的项目,在水下生产设施管线终端和在线管汇建造完成之后,要进行流体管线的水压试验及水下阀门单侧压差试验,试验时需将水下生产设施流体管端部封堵。由于试验压力比较高(46.5 ... 番禺35-1/2水下生产设施项目是中国首次全面采用水下生产系统的项目,在水下生产设施管线终端和在线管汇建造完成之后,要进行流体管线的水压试验及水下阀门单侧压差试验,试验时需将水下生产设施流体管端部封堵。由于试验压力比较高(46.5 MPa),且管线为全焊接无法兰连接,故需设计专用非标高压试压管帽。而流体管线设计标准采用的是ASME 31.8—2010《Gas Transmission and Distribution Piping System》,非标设计采用标准一般为ASMEⅧ第二册—2011《压力容器建造另一规则》或JB 4732—1995《钢制压力容器——分析设计标准》,因此需要对试压管帽的设计和分析方法进行研究,保证设计的合理性。基于JB 4732—1995,对端部外径为273mm的试压管帽进行了设计、有限元分析和计算验证,得到了合理的计算和有限元分析方法,设计制造的试压管帽成功应用于项目测试中。 展开更多

Objective To assess the influence of mimic cardiac rate on hydrodynamics of different mechanical prosthetic cardiac valves. Methods US-made CarboMedics bileaflet valve, China-made Jiuling bileaflet valve and C-L tilting disc valve were tested via a pulsatile flow simulator in the aortic position. Testing conditions were set at mimic cardiac rates of 55 bpm, 75 bpm, 100 bpm with a constant mimic cardiac output of 4 L/min. The mean pressure differences (ΔP), leakage volumes (LEV) and closing volumes (CLV) across each valve, and effective orifice areas (EOA) were analyzed. Results Within physiological range, ΔP, LEV, and CLV decreased as mimic cardiac rate increased, with a large extent of variance. EOA increased along with an increase in mimic cardiac rate. It was a different response in terms of cardiac rate alteration for different types of mechanical prosthetic cardiac valves. Conclusion Mimic cardiac rate change affects hydrodynamics of mechanical prosthetic cardiac valves. Within physiological range, the hydrodynamic of prosthetic bileaflet valve is better than that of tilting disc valve. 展开更多

Red mud has relatively small solid particles (d50= 13.02 μm) and will flow in paste form under high pressure during pipeline transport. Red mud belongs to a two-phase flow of materials with high viscosity and a high concentration of non-sedimentation, homogeneous solid-liquids. It is difficult to test its rheological properties under atmospheric pressure. Measurements such as rotational viscometry can not reflect the real state of the material when it is flowing in a pipe. Tested rheological parameters are somewhat higher than the actual values. In our investigation, grain shape, distinctive modality and grain size distribution of red mud were tested. Based on the principle of tube measurement, rheological experiments on red mud at different concentrations were carried out by using our independently developed tube-type pressure theology test facility, and obtained constitutive equations. We conclude that red mud behaves as non-Newtonian pseudo-plastic fluid in pipe flows. Its consistency and power-law indices vary considerably with different concentrations. 展开更多

Based on the computation results, the temperature differences and the maximum heat transfer rates were given. These results of the study on the heat dissipater lay a basis for optimising its structure design and guiding its operation. 展开更多

It has some spectal demands. According toheat pipe’s working principle, this paper introduced a kind of newly devcloped beat pipe radiatorSeveral HPT in EPS can be cooled by one beat pipe. In order to obtain the cooling and forced convection cooling , two dimensionless equations were obtained. This paper also studicd the refation between the surface temperature of HPT and the working electric current. The corresponding curvewas given out. Experiments shown that the beat pipe radistor introdued in this paper could effectively cool the HPT in EPS. It becomes a practical and valuable new technique. 展开更多

Presence of fine dust in air causes serious health hazard for mine operators resulting in such serious problems as coal workers’pneumoconiosis and silicosis.Major sources of dust appear of course along the mining face where the minerals are extracted.Proper control and management are required to ensure safe working environment in the mine.Here,we utilize the computational fluid dynamic(CFD)approach to evaluate various methods used for mitigating dust dispersion from the mining face and for ensuring safe level of dust concentration in the mine tunnel for safety of the operators.The methods used include:application of blowing and exhaust fans,application of brattice and combination of both.The results suggest that among the examined methods,implementation of appropriately located brattice to direct the flow from the main shaft to the mining face is the most effective method to direct dust particles away from the mining face. 展开更多

Considering the special resistance characteristics of fluids flowing through ducts with small gaps, experiments are performed to investigate the resistance characteristics of single-phase water, which is forced to flow through ver tical annuli. The gap sizes are 0.9, 1.4 and 2.4mm, respectively. The experiments are conducted under condition of 1atm. The water in the annuli is heated by high temperature water reversely flowing through the inner tube and the outer annulus. The results show that the flow pattern begin to change from laminar to turbulent before Reynolds number approaches 2000, the flow resistance in annulus has little relations with the temperature difference and ways of being heated, but mainly depends on the ratio of mass flux to the width of annulus. 展开更多

A dual material gate silicon-on-insulator MOSFET with asymmetrical halo is presented to improve short channel effect and carder transport efficiency for the first time. The front gate consists of two metal gates with different work functions by making them contacting laterally, and the channel is more heavily doped near the source than in the rest. Using a three-region polynomial potential distribution and a universal boundary condition, a two-dimensional analytical model for the fully depleted silicon-on-insulator MOSFET is developed based on the explicit solution of two-dimensional Poisson's equation. The model includes the calculation of potential distribution along the channel and subthreshold current. The performance improvement of the novel silicon-on-insulator MOSFET is examined and compared with the traditional silicon-on-insulator MOSFET using the analytical model and two-dimensional device simulator MEDICI. It is found that the novel silicon-on-insulator MOSFET could not only suppress short channel effect, but also increase cartier transoort efficiency noticeably. In order to study the basic characteristics of gas flow field in the atomizing chamber near the nozzle outlet of the vortical loop slit atomizer and its influence mechanism on clogging phenomenon,the computational fluid dynamics(CFD)software Fluent is used to conduct a numerical simulation of the gas flow field in the atomizing chamber near the nozzle outlet of this atomizer under different annular slit widths,different atomization gas pressures and different protrusion lengths of the melt delivery tube. The results show that under atomization gas pressure p=4.5 MPa,the greater the annular slit width D,the lower the static temperature near the central hole outlet at the front end of the melt delivery tube,and the smaller the aspirating pressure at the front end of the melt delivery tube. These features can effectively prevent the occurrence of the clogging phenomenon of metallic melt. Under an annular slit width of D=1.2 mm,when the atomization gas pressure satisfies 1 MPa ≤ p ≤ 2 MPa and increases gradually,the aspirating pressure at the front end of the melt delivery tube will decline rapidly. This can prevent the clogging phenomenon of metallic melt. However,when the atomization gas pressure p >2 MPa,the greater the atomization gas pressure,the lower the static temperature near the central hole outlet at the front end of the melt delivery tube,and the greater the aspirating pressure at the front end of the melt delivery tube. Hence,the effect of preventing the solidification-induced clogging phenomenon of metallic melt is restricted. When atomization gas pressure is p =4.5 MPa and annular slit width is D=1.2 mm,the greater the protrusion length H of the melt delivery tube,and the smaller the aspirating pressure at its front end. The static temperature near the central hole that can be observed in its front end is approximate to effectively prevent the occurrence of clogging phenomenon of metallic melt. However,because of the small aspirating pressure,the metallic melt flows into the atomizing chamber from the central hole at the front end of the melt delivery tube at an increasing speed and the gas-melt ratio in the mass flow rate is reduced,which is not conducive to the improvement of atomization performance. 展开更多

Air separators provide safe, clean, and appropriate air flow to engines and are widely used in vehicles with large engines such as ships and submarines. In this operational study, the separation process in a Ranque-Hilsch vortex tube cleaning (cooling) system is investigated to analyze the impact of the operating gas type on the vortex tube performance; the operating gases used are air, nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide and nitrogen dioxide. The computational fluid dynamic model used is equipped with a three-dimensional structure, and the steady-state condition is applied during computations. The standard k-c turbulence model is employed to resolve nonlinear flow equations, and various key parameters, such as hot and cold exhaust thermal drops, and power separation rates, are described numerically. The results show that nitrogen dioxide creates the greatest separation power out of all gases tested, and the numerical results are validated by good agreement with available experimental data. In addition, a comparison is made between the use of two different boundary conditions, the pressure-far-field and the pressure-outlet, when analyzing complex turbulent flows in the air separators. Results present a comprehensive and practical solution for use in future numerical studies. 展开更多

Objective To examine the effects of exogenously administered intermedin (IMD,adrenomedullin-2) on arterial blood pressure,cardiac function and the cardiovascular IMD receptor system in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHRs) as well as to investigate the associated mechanisms.Methods Thirteen week-old male rats were divided in Wistar Kyoto (WKY) group (n =12),SHR group (n =12),IMD group (SHRs infused with IMD 1-47 500 ng/kg per hour,n =12),and ADM group (SHRs infused with adrenomedullin 500 ng/kg per hour,n =12).Results A two-week continuous administration of low dose IMD 1-47 via mini-osmotic pumps markedly reduced blood pressure,the maximal rates of increase and decrease of left-ventricle pressure development (LV ± dp/dtmax),left ventricular systolic pressure and heart rate in SHRs.Furthermore,IMD also inhibited protein over-expression of cardiovascular IMD receptors,myocardial Receptor Activity-Modifying Proteins (RAMP1 and RAMP2),aortic RAMP1,RAMP2,RAMP3,and calcitonin receptor-like receptor (CRLR);suppressed up-regulation of aortic RAMP1,RAMP2,RAMP3 and CRLR gene expression; and markedly elevated the mRNA abundance of myocardial atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) and myocardial brain natriuretic peptide (BNP).Additionally,IMD 1-47 administration in SHRs increased aortic cAMP concentration and reduced myocardial cAMP concentration.Conclusion These findings support the speculation that IMD,as a cardiovascular active peptide,is involved in blood pressure reduction and cardiac function amelioration during hypertension.The mechanism underlying this effect may involve IMD binding of a receptor complex formed by RAMPs and CRLR,and consequential regulation of cAMP levels and other cardiovascular active factors,such as ANP and BNP. 展开更多
