The stress decreases with increasing deformation temperature and decreasing strain rate, which can be represented by a Zener-Hollomon exponential equation with the activation energy for deformation of 157.9 kJ/mol. The substructure in the deformed specimens consists of few fine precipitates with equaixed polygonized subgrains in the elongated grains and developed serrations at the grain boundaries. The dynamic flow softening is attributed mainly to dynamic recovery and dynamic recrystallization.展开更多

The decomposition of industrial ferrous sulfate under air atmosphere was divided into three stages, and a ferrous sulfate sample added with 15% Fe_2O_3 could strongly absorb microwave energy. Therefore, preparing hematite powder from ferrous sulfate using microwave calcination was feasible. Hematite was obtained under the following optimized conditions: calcination temperature, 850 °C; microwave power, 650 W; and sample amount, 40 g. The obtained hematite satisfied the first-grade quality requirements. The total ferrum value was more than 58%, and the total sulfur and phosphorus contents were less than 0.5% and 0.2%, respectively. X-ray powder diffraction and scanning electron microscopy were used to characterize the structure and morphology of microsized hematite powder. The experimental results confirm that the strength of TC4 alloy can be improved obviously by LTTMT processing, which combines strain strengthening with aging strengthening. The effect of LTTMT on the alloy depends on the microstructure of the refined and dispersed a+fl phase on the basis of high dislocation density by pre-deformation below recrystallization temperature. The tensile strength decreases with the increase of pre-deformation reduction. The optimal processing parameters of LTTMT for TC4 alloy are as follows: solution treatment at 900 ℃ for 15 min, pre-deformation in the range of 600-700 ℃ with a reduction of 35%, finally aging at 540 ℃ for 4 h followed by air-cooling.展开更多

Effects of holding time and K sources on the infrared emissivity of ZnO were investigated. The structure and surface morphologies of samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM). The UV-Vis absorption and infrared emissivities were investigated by a UV-Vis spectrophotometer and an infrared emissometer, respectively. XRD patterns confirm the wurtzite structure of the as prepared samples with single phase. Smooth grain surfaces are detected in all doped ZnO samples, while ZnO:Li and ZnO:Na present the aggregation of grains. The redshifts in the optical band-gap are observed in K-, Na-, and Li-doped ZnO with the values 3.150, 3.144, and 3.142 eV. Due to better crystalline quality, ZnO:K shows a lower emissivity than others. The emissivity of K-doped ZnO decreases to the minimum value(0.804), at 1200 °C and holding 2 h. The experimental results reveal that the microstructure of the adjacent base metal varies clearly as a function of holding time. The migration of Cr and Ni elements and the → transformation seem to play relevant roles in this microstructure evolution. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and electron prob X-ray microanalysis (EPMA) results indicate the transformation of BN→BN and (N, Mo) boride→BN at the interface with the holding time of 60-1 800 s. N content changes with holding time increasing at locations at the interface might be a controlling factor contributing to this transformation.展开更多

The microstructure and phases of the coatings were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffractometry (XRD), respectively. The corrosion resistance of MAO coatings was evaluated by electrochemical potentiodynamic polarization in 5% (mass fraction) NaCl solution. The results show that when KMnO4 is added into base electrolyte, the growth speed of oxide coatings is increased obviously. The main phase of oxide coatings is Al2O3, and the contents of MnO2 and MnEA104 phases are increased at the top of oxide coatings with increasing the concentration of KMnO4. The solute elements participate in forming the oxide coatings. When a proper concentration of KMnO4 (2.5 g/L) is added into the base solution, the micropores of the MAO coatings are small and compact, and the corrosion resistance of oxide coatings is increased largely.展开更多

The effects of coagulation bath temperature (CBT) on the structure and performance of membranes were investigated in detail. The morphologies of the membranes were studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), the performances of water permeability, rejection, breaking strength and elongation were measured, respectively. The results indicate that all the membranes have the asymmetric morphology and the thickness of the skin layer decreases and the pore size of the outer layer increases with the increase of CBT. The permeability of membranes prepared at air gap 1.0 cm and take-up speed 0.253 m/s increases from 1.047×10-7 to 5.909×10-7 m3/(m2·s-kPa) with the CBT increasing from 20 ℃ to 40℃, and sharply increases to 35.226×10 7 m3/(m2.s.kPa)once the CBT arrives at 50 ℃. While the carbonic ink rejections have no significant decrease, totally exceed 98%, but that of acid-maleic acid copolymer greatly decreases with the increase of CBT. Interracial microstructures and reaction phases were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). It is found that when the brazing parameters are optimized, the structures of the joints are graphite/(Cu,Ni)/Ni(s.s)+NixPy/Cu3P+Cu(s.s) (including Sn)+eutectic structures (Cu3P+Ni3P+Cu(s.s)/Cu (s.s)/Cu). When the temperature increases to 750℃ or the holding time prolongs to 300 s, the eutectie structures disappear and the amount of Cu3P increases. Compared with KNO3 as K source, K2CO3 doped ZnO has lower emissivities.

文摘Effect of holding time on microstructural developments and transformation of precipitates formed at the interface during transient liquid-phase bonding of a duplex stainless steel using a Ni-based amorphous insert alloy was studied. N content changes with holding time increasing at locations at the interface might be a controlling factor contributing to this transformation.

文摘Microarc oxidation (MAO) coatings were prepared on 2024 aluminum alloy in a Na2SiO3-KOH electrolyte with KNinO4 addition varying from 0 to 4 g/L. When a proper concentration of KMnO4 (2.5 g/L) is added into the base solution, the micropores of the MAO coatings are small and compact, and the corrosion resistance of oxide coatings is increased largely.

文摘Poly (vinyl butyral) (PVB) hollow fiber membranes were fabricated via thermally induced phase separation (TIPS). Both the breaking strength and elongation decrease with the increase of CBT.
文摘Similar friction welded joints of AA-7005 aluminum rods were fabricated using different combinations of process parameters such as friction pressure(1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 MPa) and friction time(10, 15 and 20 s). Interfacial microstructure and formation of intermetallic compounds at the joint interface were evaluated via scanning electron microscopy(SEM) equipped with energy dispersive spectrum(EDS), and optical microscopy(OM). Microstructural observations reveal the formation of intermetallic phases during the welding process which cannot be extruded from the interface. Theses phases influence the tensile strength of the resultant joints. From the tensile characteristics viewpoint, the greatest tensile strength value of 365 MPa is obtained at 1.5 MPa and 15 s. Finally, the role of microstructural features on tensile strength of resultant joints is discussed.

文摘Oxygen-free copper and pre-metalized graphite were brazed using CuNiSnP braze alloy by high frequency induction heating method. Interracial microstructures and reaction phases were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). The strength and resistance of the joints were tested. The maximum shear strength of the joints is 5.2 MPa, which fracture at the interface of graphite and metallization. The resistance of the joints is no more than 5 mΩ.

文摘Molybdenum disilicide(MoSi_2) based composites with various contents of carbon nanotubes(CNTs) were fabricated by spark plasma sintering(SPS) in vacuum under a pressure of 25 MPa.The composites obtained under a sintering temperature of 1500 °C and time of 10 min exhibited optimum mechanical properties at room temperature in terms of fracture toughness and transverse rupture strength.MoSi_2 based composite with 6.0% CNTs(volume fraction) had the highest fracture toughness, transverse rupture strength and hardness, which were improved by about 25.7%,51.5% and 24.4% respectively,as compared with pure MoSi_2.A Mo_(4.8)Si_3C_(0.6) phase was detected in CNTs/MoSi_2 composites by both X-ray diffraction(XRD) method and microstructure analysis with scanning electron microscopy(SEM).It is believed that the fine grains and well dispersed small Mo_(4.8)Si_3C_(0.6) particles had led to a higher hardness and strength of CNTs/MoSi_2 composites because of their particle pullout, crack deflection and micro-bridging effects.
