In this study,the microstructure and mechanical properties of a multi-layered 316L-TiC composite material produced by selective laser melting(SLM)additive manufacturing process are investigated.Three different layers,...In this study,the microstructure and mechanical properties of a multi-layered 316L-TiC composite material produced by selective laser melting(SLM)additive manufacturing process are investigated.Three different layers,consisting of 316L stainless steel,316L-5 wt%TiC and 316L-10 wt%TiC,were additively manufactured.The microstructure of these layers was characterized by optical microscopy(OM)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).X-ray diffraction(XRD)was used for phase analysis,and the mechanical properties were evaluated by tensile and nanoindentation tests.The microstructural observations show epitaxial grain growth within the composite layers,with the elongated grains growing predominantly in the build direction.XRD analysis confirms the successful incorporation of the TiC particles into the 316L matrix,with no unwanted phases present.Nanoindentation results indicate a significant increase in the hardness and modulus of elasticity of the composite layers compared to pure 316L stainless steel,suggesting improved mechanical properties.Tensile tests show remarkable strength values for the 316L-TiC composite samples,which can be attributed to the embedded TiC particles.These results highlight the potential of SLM in the production of multi-layer metal-ceramic composites for applications that require high strength and ductility of metallic components in addition to the exceptional hardness of the ceramic particles.展开更多
The floatability of different crystalline structures of pyrrhotite(monoclinic and hexagonal) was studied.It is shown that the floatability of monoclinic and hexagonal has obvious difference,and that the flotation reco...The floatability of different crystalline structures of pyrrhotite(monoclinic and hexagonal) was studied.It is shown that the floatability of monoclinic and hexagonal has obvious difference,and that the flotation recovery of monoclinic pyrrhotite is larger than that of hexagonal pyrrhotite using different collectors.When butyl dithiophosphate is used as the collector,the recovery is larger than that by sodium butyl xanthate and sodium diethyl dithiocarbamate.At the pH values ranging from 6 to 9,monoclinic pyrrhotite can be floated well,and the flotation recovery is higher than 90%.Monoclinic and hexagonal pyrrhotites are more easily activated by Cu2+ in acidic conditions than in alkaline conditions.But Cu2+ cannot activate hexagonal pyrrhotite using sodium diethyldithiocarbamate as the collector.By the measurement of contact angle,it is indicated that monoclinic and hexagonal pyrrhotites float well and are easily activated by Cu2+ when dithiophosphate is used as the collector.Using sodium diethyl dithiocarbamate as a collector,the relationship between potential and pH range for pyrrhotite flotation is established.At pH 5,the optimal potential range for flotation of monoclinic pyrrhotite is about 125-580 mV(vs SHE),with the maximum flotation occurring at about 350 mV(vs SHE);the optimal potential range for flotation of hexagonal pyrrhotite is 200?580 mV(vs SHE),with the maximum flotation occurring at about 300 mV(vs SHE).展开更多
In this study,porous silica with high surface area was prepared through selective leaching of thermally activated chlorite in HCl solution.In the process,chlorite was activated by pre-calcining treatment,then activate...In this study,porous silica with high surface area was prepared through selective leaching of thermally activated chlorite in HCl solution.In the process,chlorite was activated by pre-calcining treatment,then activated components(MgO,Al_(2)O_(3),and Fe_(2)O_(3))were selectively leached by acid solution,resulting in the formation of nanopores in situ.The morphology,structure,surface area and pore-size distribution of the material were characterized by XRD,TG/DSC,^(27)Al MAS NMR,SEM,TEM and N2 adsorption−desorption isotherms.The highest specific surface area(SBET=333 m^(2)/g)was obtained by selectively leaching the 600℃ calcined chlorite from 3 mol/L HCl at 90℃ for 2 h.The pore sizes and specific surface areas can be controlled by calcination and leaching conditions.The ^(27)Al MAS NMR spectra of the samples revealed the relationship between structural transformation and the selective acid leaching properties of thermal-activated chlorite,demonstrating that AlVI transfers into AlV when chlorite changes into activated chlorite during thermal activation,and the coordinations of Al has a significant effect on acid solubility of chlorite.The as-prepared porous silica showed favorable adsorption abilities with capacity of 148.79 mg/g for methylene blue at pH of about 7 and temperature of 25℃,indicating its promising potential in adsorption application.展开更多
