These results indicate that the systemic fluconazole therapy results in the inhibitory effect of candidal adhesion to BEC of treated patients to prevent them from oral candidosis for a prolonged time, which is based on the absent surface protein (35 KDa) of the BEC.展开更多

Association between p53 protein overexpression and clinical and pathological parameters as well as prognosis of patients were also analyzed. p53 protein overexpression was commonly observed (69. 4%) in OSCC and may be used as a marker of carcinogenesis of OSCC. The level of p53 protein overexpression is correlated with the lower three and five-year survival rate of OSCC. The presence or absence of p53 overexpression was not correlated with sex, age, site of tumor, size of tumor, degree of differentiation, node status, and clinical stage in OSCC. Single factor COX proportional hazards regression model analysis indicated that there was no significant association between p53 overexpression and prognosis of OSCC. Multivariable COX model analysis failed to establish effective life function or risk rate function. These showed that all the parameters analyzed in this study as well as p53 overexpression were not significant and effective risk factors of prognosis for patients with OSCC.展开更多

Methods: Rabbit SO was isolated for primary cell culture and subculture. After subcultured with different concentration of CL culture medium for 20 h, the structural and quantitative changes of SO cells were analyzed and detected by MTT-test, flow cytometer (FCM), electronic microscope and electrophoresis technique respectively. Results: CL contributed a prominent stimulus to SO cells proliferation at middle concentration (<0. 5 - 0. 8 mg/ml), which could be confirmed by FCM analysis which indicated the number of SO cells in S-phase increasing remarkably; however, high concentration of CL inhibited SO cells' proliferation (>1. 0 mg/ml) and induced apoptosis of SO cells. Swelled mitochondria and dilated endoplasmic reticulum as well as disjoined and diminished microfilaments were found in SO cells by electronic microscopy. The content of SO cells actin decreased with the increment of cholesterol concentration. There was a significant difference of actin content between CL groups and control group (P<0. 05). Conclusion: CL may change SO cell membrane's function, organelle's structure and especially the quantity and configuration of microfilaments, at the same time, CL at different concentration can induce changes of SO cells cycle and lead to different changes in the number of SO cells.展开更多

Methods: Six edentulous volunteers with healthy oral mucosa participated in an in vivo study. Two kinds of pure Ti testing pieces with plane and wrinkly surface were fixed in the polished surface of upper complete dentures. After 6-month wearing, dynamic polarization curves were traced with electrochemical method and the amount and species of bacterium adhered on pure Ti were examined. Results: ① Ep and Ip of specimen in oral cavity was higher than that left in air, which meant corrosion resistance falling. Compared to plane one, Ecorr of wrinkly specimen was more positive and Ep and Ip were more higher, so its corrosion resistance reduced. ② Individual difference put a significant influence on amount of bacterium adhered on pure Titanium, but had no relation to species of bacterium. To the same patient, wrinkly samples collected more bacterium than plane ones, and exhibited G - coccus beside G + coccus. Conclusion: From the perspective of corrosion behavior and benefit to periodontal tissue, wrinkly surface should not be adopted when pure Ti prosthesis is made, especially on connector part of denture.展开更多

Methods: A model of trauma of common bile duct was established in 28 dogs and then repaired. The anasomosis tissues were taken on the 1st week, 3rd week and the 3rd month, 6th month respectively after operation and examined by using light microscopy and elec-tromicroscopy. Macrophage, TGF-p, and a-SMA were studied immunohistochemically. Results: The mucosal epithelium of common bile duct restored poorly, chronic inflammation lasted for a long time, fibroblasts proliferated actively, extracellular matrix overdeposited; and myofibroblasts functioned actively and existed during the whole healing process. Immunohistochemical test showed a high expression of macrophage, TGF-β1 and a-SMA during healing process lasting a long duration. Macrophages were found in the lamina propria under mucosa, TGF-β1 in the granulation tissue, fibroblasts and endothelial cells of blood vesssels, while a-SMA in the myofiroblasts and smooth muscle tissue. Conclusion: The healing of bile duct is in the mode of overhealing. Myofibroblast is the main cause for contracture of scar and stricture of bile duct. The high expression of macrophage, TGF-β1 and a-SMA is closely related to active proliferation of fibroblasts, extracelluar matrix overdeposition and scar contracture of bile duct.展开更多

It has various parameters, and as yet has not been ex- tensively tested. The general applicability of the al- gorithm to a variety of problems is d. The aim of this work is to demonstrate the feas^ility and ro- bustness of the algorithm, and the sensitivity to the change of various parameters in a series of experi- ments for Nmap portscan detection by using DCA. Experiment results show that the algorithm per- forms well on the task of detecting a ping based Nmap portscan. Sensitivity analysis is also per- formed. True positive rate is higher for the detec- tion of anomaly processes and false positive rate is lower for the detection of normal orocesses.展开更多
