An analytic method to solve this kind of problem is in a need of reestablishment. The classical method of Green's function and Newman product principle in a new way are used to solve the unsteady state flow problems of various shapes of well and reservoir while considering the TPG. Four Green's functions of point, line, band and circle while considering the TPG are achieved. Then, two well models of vertical well and horizontal well are built and simultaneously the function to calculate the moving boundary of each well model is provided. The results show that when considering TPG the pressure field is much different, which has a sudden pressure change, with a moving boundary in it. And the moving boundary of each well model increases with time but slows down rapidly, especially when the TGP is large.展开更多

However, in previous investigation, the analysis on the measurement error was qualitative and only focused on the total effects on the measurement without decoupling the influencing factors. This paper discusses the effects of influencing factors on the measurement results for the interface propagation-based method. Numerical simulations were performed to explore the influencing factors, namely model simplification, subcooling and natural convection, along with their impact on the measurement process and corresponding measurement results. The numerical solutions were provided in terms of moving curves of the solid-liquid interface and the predicted values of thermal conductivity. Results indicated that the impact of simplified model was strongly dependent on Stefan number of the melting process. The degree of subcooling would lead to underestimated values for thermal conductivity prediction. The natural convection would intensify the heat transfer rate in the liquid region, thereby overestimating the obtained results of thermal conductivity. Correlations and experimental guidelines are provided. The relative errors are limited in ±1.5%,±3%and ±2% corresponding to the impact of simplified model, subcooling and natural convection, respectively.展开更多

Then FISH program was used to get the location data of slip plane from displacement contour lines. Furthermore, the method to determine multiple slip planes was also proposed by setting different heights of elastic areas. The influential factors for the stability were analyzed, including cohesion, internal friction angle, and tensile strength. The calculation results show that with the increase of cohesion, failure mode of slope changes from shallow slipping to the deep slipping, while inclination of slip plane becomes slower and slipping volume becomes larger; with the increase of friction angle, failure mode of slope changes from deep slipping to shallow slipping, while slip plane becomes steeper and upper border of slip plane comes closer to the vertex of slope; the safety factor increases little and slip plane goes far away from vertex of slope with the increase of tensile strength.展开更多

It is closely related to the type of vibration source and the soil properties. Based on the solutions of the Lamb's problem, the boundary at the surface between the near and far fields of ground vibration was investigated for a harmonic vertical concentrated load and an infinite line load at the surface of a visco-elastic half-space. Particularly, the variation of the boundary with the material damping was investigated for both cases. The results indicate that the material damping slightly contributes to the attenuation of vibrations in the near-source region, but significantly reduces the vibrations in the region that is at some distance away from the source. When taking the material damping into consideration, the boundary between the near and far fields tends to move towards the vibration source. Compared with the vibrations caused by a concentrated load, the vibrations induced by an infinite line load can affect a larger range of the surrounding environment, and they attenuate more slowly. This means the boundary between the near field and far field should move fitrther away from the source. Finally, the boundaries are defined in terms of R-wave length (2R) and Poisson ratio of the ground (o). For the case of a point load, the boundary is located at the distance of (5.0-6.0)2R for v≤0.30 and at the distance of (2.0--3.0)2R for v≥0.35. For the case of an infinite line load, the boundary is located at the distance (5.5-6.5)2rt for v≤0.30 and at the distance (2.5--3.5)2R for v≥0.35.展开更多
