The pile-soil system interaction computational model in liquefaction-induced lateral spreading ground was established by the finite difference numerical method.Considering an elastic-plastic subgrade reaction method,numerical methods involving finite difference approach of pile in liquefaction-induced lateral spreading ground were derived and implemented into a finite difference program.Based on the monotonic loading tests on saturated sand after liquefaction,the liquefaction lateral deformation of the site where group piles are located was predicted.The effects of lateral ground deformation after liquefaction on a group of pile foundations were studied using the fmite difference program mentioned above,and the failure mechanism of group piles in liquefaction-induced lateral spreading ground was obtained.The applicability of the program was preliminarily verified.The results show that the bending moments at the interfaces between liquefied and non-liquefied soil layers are larger than those at the pile's top when the pile's top is embedded.The value of the additional static bending moment is larger than the peak dynamic bending moment during the earthquake,so in the pile foundation design,more than the superstructure's dynamics should be considered and the effect of lateral ground deformation on pile foundations cannot be neglected. 展开更多

Influence of crystallographic orientation on growth behavior of spherical voids

The influence of crystallographic orientation on the void growth in FCC crystals was numerically simulated with 3D crystal plasticity finite element by using a 3D unit cell including a spherical void, and the rate-dependent crystal plasticity theory was implemented as a user material subroutine. The results of the simulations show that crystallographic orientation has significant influence on the growth behavior of the void. Different active slip systems of the regions around the void cause the discontinuity in lattice rotation around the void, and the corner-like region is formed. In the case of the void located at grain boundary, large heterogeneous deformation occurs between the two grains, and the equivalent plastic deformation along grain boundary near the void in the case of θ=45^o (θ is the angle between grain boundary direction and X-axis) is larger than the others. Large difference of orientation factor of the two grains leads to large equivalent plastic deformation along grain boundary, and the unit cell is more likely to fail by intergranular fracture. 展开更多

The information integration method of semantic web based on agent ontology(SWAO method) was put forward aiming at the problems in current network environment,which integrates,analyzes and processes enormous web information and extracts answers on the basis of semantics. With SWAO method as the clue,the following technologies were studied:the method of concept extraction based on semantic term mining,agent ontology construction method on account of multi-points and the answer extraction in view of semantic inference. Meanwhile,the structural model of the question answering system applying ontology was presented,which adopts OWL language to describe domain knowledge from where QA system infers and extracts answers by Jena inference engine. In the system testing,the precision rate reaches 86%,and the recalling rate is 93%. The experimental results prove that it is feasible to use the method to develop a question answering system,which is valuable for further study in more depth. 展开更多
