Assuming the relationship between shear stress and shear strain of the surrounding soil was elasto-plastic, shear displacement method was employed to establish the different explicit relational equations between the load and the displacement at the top of pile in either elastic or elasto-plastic period. Then Mylonakis & Gazetas model was introduced to simulate the interaction between two piles or between piles and soil. Considering the effect of cushion, the flexible coefficients of interaction were provided, With the addition of a relevant program, the settlement calculation for long-short composite piled raft foundation was developed which could be used to account for the interaction of piles, soil and cushion. Finally, the calculation method was used to analyze an engineering example. The calculated value of settlement is 10.2 ram, which is close to the observed value 8.8 mm.展开更多

After analyzing the locomotion architecture of mobile robot and the principle of proprioceptive sensors, the kinematics model of mobile robot was built to realize the relative localization. Considering that the research on dead reckoning of mobile robot was confined to the 2 dimensional planes, the locomotion of mobile robot in the 3 coordinate axis direction was thought over in order to estimate its pose on uneven terrain. Because the computing method in a plane is rather mature, the calculation in height direction is emphatically represented as a key issue. With experimental results obtained by simulation program and robot platform, the position of mobile robot can be reliably estimated and the localization precision can be effectively improved, so the effectiveness of this dead reckoning system is demonstrated.展开更多

Through the programs, the influences of various seismic performance factors, e.g., rolling friction coefficient, spring constant, were systematically investigated. Results show that by increasing the rolling friction coefficient, the structural relative displacement due to seismic load effectively decreases, while the structural response magnitude varies mainly depending on the correlations between the following factors: the spring constant, the earthquake intensity, and the rolling friction coefficient. Furthermore, increasing the spring constant can decrease the structural relative displacement, as well as residual displacement, however, it increases the structural response magnitude. Finally, based on the analyses of various seismic performance factors subjected to the scenario earthquakes, optimized theoretical seismic performance can be achieved by reasonably combining the spring constant and the rolling friction coefficient.展开更多

The corresponding computer program was written by FORTRAN language. The dynamic responses of the high-speed train and slab track under cross-wind action were calculated. Meanwhile, the effects of the cross-wind on the dynamic responses of the system were also analyzed. The results show that the cross-wind has a significant influence on the lateral and vertical displacement responses of the car body, load reduction factor and overturning factor. For example, the maximum lateral displacement responses of the car body of the first trailer with and without cross-wind forces are 32.10 and 1.60 mm, respectively. The maximum vertical displacement responses of the car body of the first trailer with and without cross-wind forces are 6.60 and 3.29 mm, respectively. The maximum wheel load reduction factors of the first trailer with and without cross-wind forces are 0.43 and 0.22, respectively. The maximum overturning factors of the first trailer with and without cross-wind forces are 0.28 and 0.08, respectively. The cross-wind affects the derailment factor and lateral Sperling factor of the moving train to a certain extent. However, the lateral and vertical displacement responses of rails with the crnss-wind are almost the same as those without the cross-wind. The method presented and the corresponding computer program can be used to calculate the interaction between trains and track in cross-wind.展开更多

In an obstacle-free environment, a robot is ensured to reach the goal position with the desired posture by following the univector field. Contrariwise, the univector field cannot guarantee that the robot will avoid obstacles in environments. In order to create an intelligent mobile robot being able to perform the obstacle avoidance task while following the univector field, Dyna-Q algorithm is developed to train the robot in learning moving directions to attain a collision-free path for its navigation. Simulations on the computer as well as experiments on the real world prove that the proposed algorithm is efficient for training the robot in reaching the goal position with the desired final orientation.展开更多

T...By taking a rolling-spring isolation system as the study object, the effects of the non-uniform distribution of rolling friction coefficient on its isolation performance were analyzed by a compiled computer program. The results show that the errors associated with the structural maximum relative displacement, acceleration and residual displacement due to ignoring the friction variability sequentially grow. This rule is weakened by the spring action, however, the unreasonable spring constant will cause sympathetic vibration. Under the condition of large friction variability, in the calculation of the structural maximum relative displacement and acceleration, the friction variability should be considered. When the structural residual displacement is concerned, the variability of rolling friction coefficient should be fully considered regardless of the friction variability.展开更多

The structure of syn-2,4-di-p-tolylpentane-2,4-diol (2b) was characterized by X-ray diffraction and compared with the crystal structures of anti- and syn-2,4-diphenylpentane-2,4-diols (la and lb). X-ray diffraction indicates that inter and intra-molecular hydrogen bonds are formed in the crystal structures. There is n-n staking interaction in lb and 2b. Good linear correlations and similar results are found between the experimental 1H and 13C NMR chemical shifts (6~exp) and GIAO (Gauge Independent Atomic Orbital) method calculated magnetic isotropic shielding tensors (acalc). HOMO and LUMO molecular orbitals were calculated at the same levels with the different results. UV-vis absorption spectra of the compounds were recorded in EtOH, MeCN, n-BuOH and cyclohexane with different dielectric constants. It is found that the solvent effect is obvious when e is 24.85(EtOH), 35.69(MeCN) and it is weak when e is decreased to 17.33(n-BuOH), 1.18 (cyclohexane).展开更多
