Based on the idea of ES template (EST), an object-oriented rule-type EST is emphatically studied on such aspects as the object-oriented knowledge representation, the heuristic inference engine with an improved depth-first search (DFS) and the graphical user interface. A diagnositic ES instance for debris on magnetic chip detectors (MCDs) is then created with the EST. The spot running shows that the rule-type EST enhances the abilities of knowledge representation and heuristic inference, and breaks a new way for the rapid construction and implementation of ES.展开更多

By combining with Gabor filter, Local Binary Pattern algorithm(LBP) and k-Nearest Neighbor algorithm(KNN) are facial emotional features extracted and recognized. Meanwhile, facial emotional features put influence on robot's emotion state, which is described in AVS emotion space. Then the optimization of smart home environment on the cognitive emotional model is specially analyzed using simulated annealing algorithm(SA). Finally, transition probability from any emotional state to a state of basic emotions is obtained based on the cognitive reappraisal strategy and Euclidean distance. The simulation and experiment have tested and verified the effective in reducing negative emotional state.展开更多

However, recent studies have revealed many previously unrecognized features about the natriuretic peptide family, including more accurate utilization of BNP and NT-proBNP in diagnosing HF. The pathophysiological mechanisms behind natriuretic peptide release, breakdown, and clearance are very complex and the diverse nature of circulating natriuretic peptides and fragments makes analytical detection particu- larly challenging. In addition, a new class of drug therapy, which works via natriuretic peptide family, has also been considered promising for cardiology application. Under this context, our present mini-review aims at providing a critical analysis on these new progresses on BNP and NT-proBNP with a special emphasis on their use in geriatric cardiology settings. We have focused on several remaining issues and chal- lenges regarding the clinical utilization of BNP and NT-proBNP, which include: (1) Different prevalence and diagnostic/prognostic values of BNP isoforms; (2) methodological issues on detection of BNP; (3) glycosylation of proBNP and its effect on biomarker testing; (4) specificity and comparability of BNP/NT-proBNP resulted from different testing platforms; (5) new development of natriuretic peptides as HF treatment modality; (6) BNP paradox in HF; and (7) special considerations of using BNP/NT-proBNP in elderly HF patients. These practical discussions on BNP/NT-proBNP may be instrumental for the healthcare providers in critically interpreting laboratory results and effective management of the HF patients.展开更多

Based on the experience of relative experts, the authors established a knowledge base about the minings under structures, researched into reasonable method to simulate thinking processes of human experts when they are solving the problems, established the network of an expert system and named it ' MUST system' . MUST system uses the method of the structural system analysis approach. A kind of methods of Turbo Prolog and Fortran 77 language alternations is designed to meet the needs of exchange information within the MUST system. Based on this kind of methods MUST system has been constructed and realised on IBM-PC computer. For verifying the correctness, suitability and reliablity of MUST system, some practical examples of minings under structures were tentatively solved using MUST system, whose results are satisfactory.展开更多

R. China. Belt transect and random quadrats were used in sampling and recording the vegetation of the four selected plots on the slopes. The community of each plot was characterized based on the coverage, relative importance value, richness, diversity, evenness of species derived from the survey data. Problems of these communities were identified and corresponding regulation measures were proposed to accelerate the positive succession process of the ecosystem. It is demonstrated that the artificial vegetation restoration on the excavated slope has improved the ecological environment.展开更多

We used the reverse transcription and polymerase chain reaction(RT PCR) to amplify complementary DNA(cDNA) for the 18 known families of the V α gene in intrathyroidal T cells from 5 patients with Graves’ disease The findings were compared with the results of peripheral blood T cells in the same patients as well as those in normal subjects Results. We found that marked restriction in the expression of T cell receptor V α genes by T cells from the thyroid tissue of Chinese patients with GD(P<0 001) An average of only 4 6±1 52 of the 18 V α genes were expressed in such samples, as compared with 10 4±2 30V α genes expressed in peripheral blood T cells from the same patients The pattern of expressed V α genes differed from patient to patient with no clear predominance Conclusions. Expression of intrathyroidal T cell receptor V α genes in GD is highly restricted suggesting the primacy of T cells in causing the disorders展开更多

This study aimed at investigating the effects of nervous growth factor (NGF) on delayed afterdepolarizations (DADs) and triggered activity (TA) of the noninfarcted myocardium in the myocardial infarcted rabbit model. Rabbits with the left anterior descending coronary artery occlusion were prepared and recovered for 8 weeks (HMI group, n=9). Other rabbits with myocardial infarction were infused NGF to the left stellate ganglion (HMI+NGF group, 400 U/day for 8 weeks, n=8). Myocytes were isolated from regions of the noninfarcted left ventricular free wall. Action potentials and ion currents were recorded with whole-cell patch clamp. The results showed that more DADs and TA events of HMI+NGF myocytes than that of HMI and Ctrl group. Iti and ICa-L of NGF+HMI myocytes were increased significantly compared with HMI and Ctrl cells, which contributed to DADs-related triggered arrhythmia. Comparing with HM1 and Ctrl myocytes, significant prolongations of APD50 and APD90 in HMI+NGF myocytes were found. The results indicated the electrophysiological change of HMI myocytes with NGF infusion. It suggested that more events of DADs and TA in HMI myocytes with NGF treatment. The underlying mechanism may be involved in the increase of Iti and ICa-L.展开更多
