Unlike the traditional decentralized channel,the drop-shipping channel entails a retailer relaying consumers’orders to the manufacturer,which proceeds to stock the orders and directly ship them to the consumers.This study explores supply chain coordination and product quality in drop-shipping and traditional channels.Specifically,we analyze the performance of both channels under wholesale price and revenue-sharing contracts.Our study yields several key findings.First,the revenue-sharing contract can coordinate both traditional and drop-shipping channels,effectively increasing supply chain performance.Second,given the channel structure,the retailer prefers the wholesale price contract,whereas the manufacturer prefers the revenue-sharing contract.Third,product quality is higher in the drop-shipping channel when demand uncertainty is high.Finally,the implementation of the revenue-sharing contract increases product quality in the traditional channel,whereas it keeps product quality unchanged in the drop-shipping channel. 展开更多

In terms of tandem cold mill productivity and product quality, a multi-objective optimization model of rolling schedule based on cost fimction was proposed to determine the stand reductions, inter-stand tensions and rolling speeds for a specified product. The proposed schedule optimization model consists of several single cost fi.mctions, which take rolling force, motor power, inter-stand tension and stand reduction into consideration. The cost function, which can evaluate how far the rolling parameters are from the ideal values, was minimized using the Nelder-Mead simplex method. The proposed rolling schedule optimization method has been applied successfully to the 5-stand tandem cold mill in Tangsteel, and the results from a case study show that the proposed method is superior to those based on empirical formulae. 展开更多

Several methods of deep desulfurization in alumina production process were studied, and the costs of these methods were compared. It is found that most of the S2- in sodium aluminate solution can be removed by adding sodium nitrate or hydrogen peroxide in digestion process, and in this way the effect of S2- on alumina product quality is eliminated. However, the removal efficiency of 2?32OS in sodium aluminate solution is very low by this method. Both S2- and 2?32OS in sodium aluminate solution can be removed completely by wet oxidation method in digestion process. The cost of desulfurization by wet oxidation is lower than by adding sodium nitrate or hydrogen peroxide. The results of this research reveal that wet oxidation is an economical and feasible method for the removal of sulfur in alumina production process to improve alumina quality, and provide valuable guidelines for alumina production by high-sulfur bauxite. 展开更多

Based on the characteristics of the lignite sample, effects of assistant anthraquinone (AQ) on extraction yield of humic substances (HS) and the action mechanisms of AQ in alkaline condition were studied by Fouvier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. The results indicate that assistant AQ can not only increase the extraction yield of HS but also reduce the alkali dosage (NaOH) as well as the extraction temperature and extraction time. Under the optimal conditions of alkali dosage of 9%, AQ dosage of 0.75%, extraction temperature of 80 ℃, extraction time of 30 min, stirring speed of 600 r/min and solid-to-liquid ratio of 1:3, the extraction yield of HS reaches 80.08%, which is increased by more than 20% compared with the conventional extraction. FT-IR spectra show that AQ is able to prevent dissolved HS from being destroyed into undissolved substance by alkali and 1-IS obtained in the presence of AQ possesses more groups of COOR and --COOH than that obtained without AQ. 展开更多

Short-term deformation behavior model of endangered earthen heritage slope after conservation in Jiaohe Ruins

Cliff deformation behavior after conservation is of great significance for evaluating the conservation effect and discovering the dynamical law of soil. Modeling on deformation behavior is beneficial to the quantitative evaluation of interactions between soil mass and structures as well as the forecast. Based on cliff conservation engineering of Jiaohe Ruins (the largest raw soil heritage site in the world), data of horizontal deformation of the upper cliff were obtained by using Nanrui-made NDW-50 displacement device (precision: 0.01 mm, frequency: 15 min^-l). Regression analysis indicates that deformation behavior models include exponential growth, linear growth and parabolic growth types, while daily deformation presents more intense periodicity (24 h). The deformation is less than 1.5 mm during monitoring period, which has no impact on the stability of cliff. Deformation behavior provides the mutual duress and interaction between soil and engineering intervention. In addition, deformation mode attaches tensely to the damage pattern of the cliff. The conclusions are of importance to the stability evaluation of the carrier along Silk Road. 展开更多
