To effectively solve the traffic data problems such as data invalidation in the process of the acquisition of road traffic states,a road traffic states estimation algorithm based on matching of the regional traffic at...To effectively solve the traffic data problems such as data invalidation in the process of the acquisition of road traffic states,a road traffic states estimation algorithm based on matching of the regional traffic attracters was proposed in this work.First of all,the road traffic running states were divided into several different modes.The concept of the regional traffic attracters of the target link was put forward for effective matching.Then,the reference sequences of characteristics of traffic running states with the contents of the target link's traffic running states and regional traffic attracters under different modes were established.In addition,the current and historical regional traffic attracters of the target link were matched through certain matching rules,and the historical traffic running states of the target link corresponding to the optimal matching were selected as the initial recovery data,which were processed with Kalman filter to obtain the final recovery data.Finally,some typical expressways in Beijing were adopted for the verification of this road traffic states estimation algorithm.The results prove that this traffic states estimation approach based on matching of the regional traffic attracters is feasible and can achieve a high accuracy.展开更多
The predictive capacity of numerical analyses in geotechnical engineering depends strongly on the efficiency of constitutive models used for modeling of interfaces behavior.Interfaces are considered as thin layers of ...The predictive capacity of numerical analyses in geotechnical engineering depends strongly on the efficiency of constitutive models used for modeling of interfaces behavior.Interfaces are considered as thin layers of the soil adjacent to structures boundary whose major role is transferring loads from structures to soil masses.An interface model within the bounding surface plasticity framework and the critical state soil mechanics is presented.To this aim,general formulation of the interface model according to the bounding surface plasticity theory is described first.Similar to granular soils,it has been shown that the mechanical behavior of sand-structure interfaces is highly affected by the interface state that is the combined influences of density and applied normal stress.Therefore,several ingredients of the model are directly related to the interface state.As a result of this feature,the model is enabled to distinguish interfaces in dense state from those in loose state and to provide realistic predictions over wide ranges of density and normal stress values.In evaluation of the model,a reasonable correspondence between the model predictions and the experimental data of various research teams is found.展开更多

The result shows that 1) the parameter of humidification vibration deformation increases with the vibration shear stress peak value increasing. 2) The humidification water content has significant influence on the curve of the parameter of humidification vibration deformation and the peak vibration shear stress. When the humidification water content is low, the curve increases slowly. However, when the humidification water content is high, the curve increases rapidly. 3) Initial consolidation stress has significant influence on the humidification vibration deformation coefficient. When initial consolidation stress is not large enough to destroy the loess structure, with initial consolidation stress increasing, the humidification vibration deformation coefficient decreases. On the contrary, the humidification vibration deformation coefficient increases with initial consolidation stress increasing. 4) With the increase of vibration time, the parameter of humidification vibration settlement shows an increasing trend overall. The initial dynamic shear stress peak value and humidification water content all have significant effects on the curve of the parameter of humidification vibration settlement and vibration time. To get better tracking performance of attitude command over the reentry phase of vehicles, the use of state-dependent Riccati equation (SDRE) method for attitude controller design of reentry vehicles was investigated....To get better tracking performance of attitude command over the reentry phase of vehicles, the use of state-dependent Riccati equation (SDRE) method for attitude controller design of reentry vehicles was investigated. Guidance commands are generated based on optimal guidance law. SDRE control method employs factorization of the nonlinear dynamics into a state vector and state dependent matrix valued function. State-dependent coefficients are derived based on reentry motion equations in pitch and yaw channels. Unlike constant weighting matrix Q, elements of Q are set as the functions of state error so as to get satisfactory feedback and eliminate state error rapidly, then formulation of SDRE is realized. Riccati equation is solved real-timely with Schur algorithm. State feedback control law u(x) is derived with linear quadratic regulator (LQR) method. Simulation results show that SDRE controller steadily tracks attitude command, and impact point error of reentry vehicle is acceptable. Compared with PID controller, tracking performance of attitude command using SDRE controller is better with smaller control surface deflection. The attitude tracking error with SDRE controller is within 5°, and the control deflection is within 30°.展开更多

Based on the true stres-strain curves of Ni-Ti SMA under compression at the strain rates of 0.001-1 s land at the temperatures ranging from 600 to 1 000 ℃, the constitutive equation of Ni-Ti SMA with respect to the Zener-Hollomon parameter was established according to the high stress level and the low stress level at various temperatures so as to more accurately describe the deformation behavior of Ni-Ti SMA during hot working. Dynamic recovery and dynamic recrystallization of Ni-Ti SMA occur under hot compression, which lays the theoretical foundation for understanding the constitutive behavior of Ni-Ti SMA.展开更多

Besides, “three-stage” triaxial loading and unloading mechanics tests of sandstone were conducted based on the idea of the initial high in-situ stress state recovery according to the full-life cycle evolution characteristics of surrounding rocks in deep mines(pre-excavation,excavation and post-excavation). The time-dependent stress-strain curves of sandstone were obtained. Meanwhile, the deformation and strength fitting relationships with time of sandstone were also built. Furthermore, the dilatancy and volumetric recovery mechanical mechanisms of sandstone were revealed. The results showed that: 1) There were significant time-dependent evolution characteristics on the deformation and strength of sandstone;2) There were significant correlations among the internal friction angle, cohesion and the simulated depths;3) Volumetric recovery phenomenon of sandstone was observed for the first time, which mainly occurred at the simulated depth of 2000 m. The above research conclusions could provide a certain theoretical basis for the stability control of surrounding rocks in deep mines.展开更多
Mechanical behaviors of granular materials are complicated and greatly influenced by the particle shape.Current,some composite approaches have been proposed for realistic particle shape modelling within discrete eleme...Mechanical behaviors of granular materials are complicated and greatly influenced by the particle shape.Current,some composite approaches have been proposed for realistic particle shape modelling within discrete element method(DEM),while they cannot give a good representation to the shape and mass properties of a real particle.In this work,a novel algorithm is developed to model an arbitrary particle using a cluster of non-overlapping disks.The algorithm mainly consists of two components:boundary filling and domain filling.In the boundary filling,some disks are placed along the boundary for a precise representation of the particle shape,and some more disks are placed in the domain to give an approximation to the mass properties of the particle in the domain filling.Besides,a simple method is proposed to correct the mass properties of a cluster after domain filling and reduce the number of the disks in a cluster for lower computational load.Moreover,it is another great merit of the algorithm that a cluster generated by the algorithm can be used to simulate the particle breakage because of no overlaps between the disks in a cluster.Finally,several examples are used to show the robust performance of the algorithm.A current FORTRAN version of the algorithm is available by contacting the author.展开更多
Numerical computation models of air cooling heat transfer and flow behaviors in triangular wavy fin channels(TWFC) were established with structural parameters of fins considered.The air side properties of heat transfe...Numerical computation models of air cooling heat transfer and flow behaviors in triangular wavy fin channels(TWFC) were established with structural parameters of fins considered.The air side properties of heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop are displayed with variable structural parameters of fins and inlet velocities of cooling air.Within the range of simulation,TWFC has the best comprehensive performance when inlet velocity vin=4-10 m/s.Compared with those of straight fins,the simulation results reveal that the triangular wavy fin channels are of higher heat transfer performances especially with the fin structural parameters of fin-height Fh=9.0 mm,fin-pitch Fp=2.5-3.0 mm,fin-wavelength λ=14.0-17.5 mm and fin-wave-amplitude A=1.0-1.2 mm.The correlations of both heat transfer factor and friction factor are presented,and the deviations from the experimental measurements are within 20%.展开更多
The characteristics of hot deformation of an α+β titanium alloy Ti-6.5Al-3.5Mo-1.5Zr-0.3Si with acicular microstructure were studied using isothermal hot compressive tests in a strain rate range of 0.01-10 s^-1 at ...The characteristics of hot deformation of an α+β titanium alloy Ti-6.5Al-3.5Mo-1.5Zr-0.3Si with acicular microstructure were studied using isothermal hot compressive tests in a strain rate range of 0.01-10 s^-1 at 860-1 100 ℃. The true stress-tree strain curves of alloy hot-compressed in the α+β region exhibit a peak stress followed by continuous flow softening; whereas in the β region, the flow stress attains a steady-state regime. At a strain rate of 10 s^-1 and in a wide temperature range, the alloy exhibits plastic flow instability. According to the kinetic rate equation, the apparent activation energies are estimated to be about 633 kJ/mol in the α+β region and 281 kJ/mol in the β region, respectively. The processing maps show a domain of the globularization process of a colony structure and α dynamic recrystallization in the temperature range of 860-960 ℃ with a peak efficiency of about 60%, and a domain of β dynamic recrystallization in the β region with a peak efficiency of 80%.展开更多

Therefore, it is necessary to make systemic analysis and in-depth study for the progress of AUV's key technologies and innovative applications. The multi-functional mission needs and its key technologies involved in complex sea conditions are pointed out through analyzing the domestic and foreign technical programs, functional characteristics and future development plans. Furthermore, the overall design of a multi-moving state AUV is proposed. Then, technical innovations of the key technologies, such as thrust vector, propeller design, kinematics and dynamics, navigation control, and ambient flow field characteristics, are made, combining with the structural characteristics and motion characteristics of the new multi-moving state AUV. The results verify the good performance of the multi-moving state AUV and provide a theoretical guidance and technical support for the design of new AUV in real complex sea conditions.展开更多

By considering that the and analyzing the relationship between the delay and its upper bound, employing a Lyapunov-Krasovskii function and an integral inequality approach, an improved stability criterion for NCSs is proposed. Furthermore, the resulting condition is extended to design a less conservative state feedback controller by employing an improved cone complementary linearization (ICCL) algorithm.
