The localization accuracy will drastically grade in non-line of sight(NLOS) conditions. In this paper, we propose a mobile localization strategy based on Kalman filter. The key technologies for the proposed method are the NLOS identification and mitigation. The proposed method does not need the prior knowledge of the NLOS error and it is independent of the physical measurement ways. Efficient broadcasting is a key requirement in sensor networks and has been a focal point of research over the last few years. There are many challenging tasks in the network, including redundancy control and sensor node localization that mainly depend on broadcasting. In this paper, we propose a broadcasting algorithm to control redundancy and improve localization (BACRIL) in WSNs. The proposed algorithm incorporates the benefits of the gossip protocol for optimizing message broadcasting within the network. Simulation results show a controlled level of redundancy, which is up to 57.6% if the number of sensor nodes deployed in a 500 m×500 m area are increased from 50 to 500.展开更多

The self-localization of nodes is discussed in this paper. First of all, nodes of underwater wireless sensor network are classified into several levels according to the accuracy of position of nodes and the levels are from the first to the fifth in accordance with accuracy of nodes from high to low respectively. Secondly, the level of anchor nodes can be known by those unknown nodes from the information given by the anchor nodes themselves, At the same time the unknown nodes are able to be located in the area controlled by the first level of anchor nodes that are as the aggregation. Then the positioning algorithm is designed correspondingly in accordance with the accuracy level of nodes. Finally, the positioning algorithm is simulated and analyzed. The result shows that the unknown nodes can be located effectively by hierarchical control.展开更多

Clustering is the significant approach essential for minimizing unnecessary transmission energy consumption with sustained network lifetime. This clustering process is identified as the Non-deterministic Polynomial(NP)-hard optimization problems which has the maximized probability of being solved through metaheuristic algorithms. This adoption of hybrid metaheuristic algorithm concentrates on the identification of the optimal or nearoptimal solutions which aids in better energy stability during Cluster Head(CH) selection. In this paper,Hybrid Seagull and Whale Optimization Algorithmbased Dynamic Clustering Protocol(HSWOA-DCP)is proposed with the exploitation benefits of WOA and exploration merits of SEOA to optimal CH selection for maintaining energy stability with prolonged network lifetime. This HSWOA-DCP adopted the modified version of SEagull Optimization Algorithm(SEOA) to handle the problem of premature convergence and computational accuracy which is maximally possible during CH selection. The inclusion of SEOA into WOA improved the global searching capability during the selection of CH and prevents worst fitness nodes from being selected as CH, since the spiral attacking behavior of SEOA is similar to the bubble-net characteristics of WOA. This CH selection integrates the spiral attacking principles of SEOA and contraction surrounding mechanism of WOA for improving computation accuracy to prevent frequent election process. It also included the strategy of levy flight strategy into SEOA for potentially avoiding premature convergence to attain better trade-off between the rate of exploration and exploitation in a more effective manner. The simulation results of the proposed HSWOADCP confirmed better network survivability rate, network residual energy and network overall throughput on par with the competitive CH selection schemes under different number of data transmission rounds. The statistical analysis of the proposed HSWOA-DCP scheme also confirmed its energy stability with respect to ANOVA test.展开更多

文摘The homomorphic hash algorithm(HHA)is introduced to help on-the-fly verify the vireless sensor network(WSN)over-the-air programming(OAP)data based on rateless codes. The receiver calculates the hash value of a group of data by homomorphic hash function, and then it compares the hash value with the receiving message digest.Because the feedback channel is deliberately removed during the distribution process, the rateless codes are often vulnerable when they face security issues such as packets contamination or attack. This method prevents contaminating or attack on rateless codes and reduces the potential risks of decoding failure.Compared with the SHA1 and MD5,HHA,which has a much shorter message digest, will deliver more data. The simulation results show that to transmit and verify the same amount of OAP data,HHA method sends 17.9% to 23.1%fewer packets than MD5 and SHA1 under different packet loss rates.

文摘The lifetime of a wireless sensor network(WSN)is crucial for determining the maximum duration for data collection in Internet of Things applications. To extend the WSN's lifetime,we propose deploying an unmanned ground vehicle(UGV)within the energy-hungry WSN.This allows nodes, including sensors and the UGV,to share their energy using wireless power transfer techniques. To optimize the UGV's trajectory,we have developed a tabu searchbased method for global optimality, followed by a clustering-based method suitable for real-world applications. When the UGV reaches a stopping point,it functions as a regular sensor with ample battery.Accordingly,we have designed optimal data and energy allocation algorithms for both centralized and distributed deployment.Simulation results demonstrate that the UGV and energy-sharing significantly extend the WSN's lifetime. This effect is especially prominent in sparsely connected WSNs compared to highly connected ones, and energy-sharing has a more pronounced impact on network lifetime extension than UGV mobility.

文摘For the influence caused by multipath fading and non-line-of-sight(NLOS)transmission,it is challenging to accurately localize a moving signal source in complex environment by using the wireless sensor network(WSN)on the ground. In this paper,we establish a special WSN in the sky to address this challenge, where each sensor is loaded on an unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)and the operation center of all the UAVs is fixed on the ground.Based on the analyzing of the optimal distribution and the position error calibration of all the sensors,we formulate the localization scheme to estimate the position of the target source, which combines the time difference of arrival(TDOA)method and the frequency difference of arrival(FDOA)method. Then by employing the semidefinite programming approach,we accurately obtain the position and velocity of the signal source. In the simulation, the validity of the proposed method is verified through the performance comparison.

文摘Wireless sensor network(WSN)positioning has a good effect on indoor positioning,so it has received extensive attention in the field of positioning.Non-line-of sight(NLOS)is a primary challenge in indoor complex environment. In this paper,a robust localization algorithm based on Gaussian mixture model and fitting polynomial is proposed to solve the problem of NLOS error.Firstly, fitting polynomials are used to predict the measured values. The residuals of predicted and measured values are clustered by Gaussian mixture model(GMM).The LOS probability and NLOS probability are calculated according to the clustering centers. The measured values are filtered by Kalman filter(KF),variable parameter unscented Kalman filter(VPUKF)and variable parameter particle filter(VPPF)in turn. The distance value processed by KF and VPUKF and the distance value processed by KF,VPUKF and VPPF are combined according to probability. Finally, the maximum likelihood method is used to calculate the position coordinate estimation.Through simulation comparison, the proposed algorithm has better positioning accuracy than several comparison algorithms in this paper. And it shows strong robustness in strong NLOS environment.
