This paper is focused on developing a tracking controller for a hypersonic cruise vehicle using tangent linearization approach.The design of flight control systems for air-breathing hypersonic vehicles is a highly cha...This paper is focused on developing a tracking controller for a hypersonic cruise vehicle using tangent linearization approach.The design of flight control systems for air-breathing hypersonic vehicles is a highly challenging task due to the unique characteristics of the vehicle dynamics.Motivated by recent results on tangent linearization control,the tracking control problem for the hypersonic cruise vehicle is reduced to that of a feedback stabilizing controller design for a linear time-varying system which can be accomplished by a standard design method of frozen-time control.Through a proper model transformation,it can be proven that the tracking error of the designed closed-loop system decays exponentially.Simulation studies are conducted for trimmed cruise conditions of 110000 ft and Mach 15 where the responses of the vehicle to step changes in altitude and velocity are evaluated.The effectiveness of the controller is demonstrated by simulation results.展开更多

Due to the time-var...High-accuracy motion trajectory tracking control of a pneumatic cylinder driven by a proportional directional control valve was considered. A mathematical model of the system was developed firstly. Due to the time-varying friction force in the cylinder, unmodeled dynamics, and unknown disturbances, there exist large extent of parametric uncertainties and rather severe uncertain nonlinearities in the pneumatic system. To deal with these uncertainties effectively, an adaptive robust controller was constructed in this work. The proposed controller employs on-line recursive least squares estimation(RLSE) to reduce the extent of parametric uncertainties, and utilizes the sliding mode control method to attenuate the effects of parameter estimation errors, unmodeled dynamics and disturbances. Therefore, a prescribed motion tracking transient performance and final tracking accuracy can be guaranteed. Since the system model uncertainties are unmatched, the recursive backstepping design technology was applied. In order to solve the conflicts between the sliding mode control design and the adaptive control design, the projection mapping was used to condition the RLSE algorithm so that the parameter estimates are kept within a known bounded convex set. Extensive experimental results were presented to illustrate the excellent achievable performance of the proposed controller and performance robustness to the load variation and sudden disturbance.展开更多
In recent years,an innovative underactuated robot was developed,named as underactuated cable-driven trusslike manipulator(UCTM),to be suitable in aerospace applications.However,there has been strong consensus that the...In recent years,an innovative underactuated robot was developed,named as underactuated cable-driven trusslike manipulator(UCTM),to be suitable in aerospace applications.However,there has been strong consensus that the stabilization of planar underactuated manipulators without gravity is a great challenge since the system includes a second order nonholonomic constraint and most classical control methods are not suitable for this kind of system.Furthermore,the complexity of the truss-like structure results in tremendous difficulty of computational complicacy and high nonlinearity during dynamic modelling in addition to controller design.It is paramount to solve these difficulties for UCTM's future applications.To solve the above difficulties,this paper presents a dynamic modelling method for UCTM and a trajectory tracking control method based on partial feedback linearization(PFL)that fulfills the control goal of moving UCTM from its original position to a desired position by tracking a given trajectory of the joint angles.To achieve this,a model equivalent method is proposed to make UCTM equivalent with a three-link manipulator in the sense of dynamic behavior.Then the Lagrangian equation combined with complex vector method is proposed in the dynamic modelling process of UCTM,which simplifies the derivation procedure.Based on the established dynamic model,a coordinate transformation method is proposed to transform the control force matrix into the conventional form of an underactuated system,so that the control force can be separated from the unactuated term.The PFL method in combination with the LQR control method is then proposed to realize the targets that the joint angles can track given desired trajectory.Simulation experiments are conducted to verify the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed methods.展开更多
The natural frequency of the electrohydraulic system in mobile machinery is always very low,which brings difficulties to the controller design.To improve the tracking performance of the hydraulic system,mathematical m...The natural frequency of the electrohydraulic system in mobile machinery is always very low,which brings difficulties to the controller design.To improve the tracking performance of the hydraulic system,mathematical modeling of the electrohydraulic lifting system and the rubber hose was accomplished according to an electrohydraulic lifting test rig built in the laboratory.Then,valve compensation strategy,including spool opening compensation (SOC) and dead zone compensation (DZC),was designed based on the flow-pressure characteristic of a closed-centered proportional valve.Comparative experiments on point-to-point trajectory tracking between a proportional controller with the proposed compensations and a traditional PI controller were conducted.Experiment results show that the maximal absolute values of the tracking error are reduced from 0.039 m to 0.019 m for the slow point-to-point motion trajectory and from 0.085 m to 0.054 m for the fast point-to-point motion trajectory with the proposed compensations.Moreover,tracking error of the proposed controller was analyzed and corresponding suggestions to reduce the tracking error were put forward.展开更多

The FNN is employed to learn the inherent dynamics from the input and output of chaos, which can be used in the inverse system method, so that the method is free of the exact mathematical model of the system to be controlled. As the sampling rates of the inner loop and the outer loop of the target tracking control system are different,a typical digital multi-rate control system was formed.If the traditional single-rate design method was ap...As the sampling rates of the inner loop and the outer loop of the target tracking control system are different,a typical digital multi-rate control system was formed.If the traditional single-rate design method was applied,the low sampling rate loop will seriously impact the dynamical characteristic of the system.After analyzing and calculating the impact law of the low sampling rate loop to the bandwidth and the stability of the tracking system,a kind of multi-rate control system design method was introduced.Corresponding to the different sampling rates of the inner loop and the outer loop,the multi-rate control strategy was constituted by a high sampling rate sub-controller and a low sampling rate sub-controller.The two sub-controllers were designed separately and connected by means of the sampling rate converter.The low sampling rate controller determined the response rapidity of the system,while the high sampling rate controller applied additionally effective control outputs to the system during a sampling interval of the low sampling rate controller.With the introduced high and low sampling rates sub-controllers,the tracking control system can achieve the same performance as a single-rate controller with high sampling rate,yet it works under a much lower sampling rate.The simulation and experimental results show the effectiveness of the introduced multi-rate control design method.It reduces the settling time by 5 times and the over shoot by 4 times compared with the PID control.展开更多
This work proposes the application of an iterative learning model predictive control(ILMPC)approach based on an adaptive fault observer(FOBILMPC)for fault-tolerant control and trajectory tracking in air-breathing hype...This work proposes the application of an iterative learning model predictive control(ILMPC)approach based on an adaptive fault observer(FOBILMPC)for fault-tolerant control and trajectory tracking in air-breathing hypersonic vehicles.In order to increase the control amount,this online control legislation makes use of model predictive control(MPC)that is based on the concept of iterative learning control(ILC).By using offline data to decrease the linearized model’s faults,the strategy may effectively increase the robustness of the control system and guarantee that disturbances can be suppressed.An adaptive fault observer is created based on the suggested ILMPC approach in order to enhance overall fault tolerance by estimating and compensating for actuator disturbance and fault degree.During the derivation process,a linearized model of longitudinal dynamics is established.The suggested ILMPC approach is likely to be used in the design of hypersonic vehicle control systems since numerical simulations have demonstrated that it can decrease tracking error and speed up convergence when compared to the offline controller.展开更多

Two backstepping finite-time slid- ing mode control laws are proposed to solve this problem in the presence of inertia uncertainties and external disturbances. The first control scheme is developed by combining sliding mode con- trol with a backstepping technique to achieve fast and accurate tracking responses. To obtain higher tracking precision and relax the requirement of the upper bounds on the uncertainties, a se- cond control law is also designed by combining the second or- der sliding mode control and an adaptive backstepping technique. This control law provides complete compensation of uncertainty and disturbances. Although it assumes that the uncertainty and disturbances are bounded, the proposed control law does not require information about the bounds on the uncertainties and disturbances. Finite-time convergence of attitude tracking errors and the stability of the closed-loop system are ensured by the Lya- punov approach. Numerical simulations on attitude tracking control of spacecraft are provided to demonstrate the performance of the proposed controllers.展开更多

Theoretical analysis prove the stability of the closed-loop overall system and the tracking error converges to a prescribed neighborhood asymptotically. Firstly, velocity and altitude are selected as scheduling variables, a p...A novel gain-scheduled switching control method for the longitudinal motion of a flexible air-breathing hypersonic vehicle (FAHV) is proposed. Firstly, velocity and altitude are selected as scheduling variables, a polytopic linear parameter varying (LPV) model is developed to represent the complex nonlinear longitudinal dynamics of the FAHV. Secondly, based on the obtained polytopic LPV model, the flight envelope is divided into four smaller subregions, and four gain-scheduled controllers are designed for these parameter subregions. Then, by the defined switching characteristic function, these gain-scheduled controllers are switched in order to guarantee the closed-loop FAHV system to be asymptotically stable and satisfy a given tracking error performance criterion. The condition of gain-scheduled switching controller synthesis is given in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) which can be easily solved by using standard software packages. Finally, simulation results show the effectiveness of the presented method.展开更多
Aiming at tracking control of a class of innovative control effector(ICE) aircraft with distributed arrays of actuators, this paper proposes a control allocation scheme based on the Lévy flight.Different from the...Aiming at tracking control of a class of innovative control effector(ICE) aircraft with distributed arrays of actuators, this paper proposes a control allocation scheme based on the Lévy flight.Different from the conventional aircraft control allocation problem,the particular characteristic of actuators makes the actuator control command totally subject to integer constraints. In order to tackle this problem, first, the control allocation problem is described as an integer programming problem with two desired objectives. Then considering the requirement of real-time, a metaheuristic algorithm based on the Lévy flight is introduced to tackling this problem. In order to improve the searching efficiency, several targeted and heuristic strategies including variable step length and inherited population initialization according to feedback and so on are designed. Moreover, to prevent the incertitude of the metaheuristic algorithm and ensure the flight stability, a guaranteed control strategy is designed. Finally, a time-varying simulation model is introduced to verifying the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. The contrastive simulation results indicate that the proposed scheme achieves superior tracking performance with appropriate actuator dynamics and computational time, and the improvements for efficiency are active and the parameter settings are reasonable.展开更多
A fuzzy robust path tracking strategy of an active pelagic trawl system with ship and winch regulation is proposed.First,nonlinear mathematic model of the pelagic trawl system was derived using Lagrange equation and f...A fuzzy robust path tracking strategy of an active pelagic trawl system with ship and winch regulation is proposed.First,nonlinear mathematic model of the pelagic trawl system was derived using Lagrange equation and further simplified as a low order model for the convenience of controller design.Then,an active path tracking strategy of pelagic trawl system was investigated to improve the catching efficiency of the target fish near the sea bottom.By means of the active tracking control,the pelagic trawl net can be positioned dynamically to follow a specified trajectory via the coordinated winch and ship regulation.In addition,considering the system nonlinearities,modeling uncertainties and the unknown exogenous disturbance of the trawl system model,a nonlinear robust H2 /H∞ controller based on Takagi-Sugeno(T-S) fuzzy model was presented,and the simulation comparison with linear robust H2 /H∞ controller and PID method was conducted for the validation of the nonlinear fuzzy robust controller.The nonlinear simulation results show that the average tracking error is 0.4 m for the fuzzy robust H2 /H∞ control and 125.8 m for the vertical and horizontal displacement,respectively,which is much smaller than linear H2 /H∞ controller and the PID controller.The investigation results illustrate that the fuzzy robust controller is effective for the active path tracking control of the pelagic trawl system.展开更多

By constructing a Lyapunov-Krasoviskii functional, the stability of the closed-loop system is proved. The feasibility of the proposed approach is illustrated by a simulation example.

文摘An optimal tracking control (OTC) problem for linear time-delay large-scale systems affected by external persistent disturbances is investigated. Based on the internal model principle, a disturbance compensator is constructed. The system with persistent disturbances is transformed into an augmented system without persistent disturbances. The original OTC problem of linear time-delay system is transformed into a sequence of linear two- point boundary value (TPBV) problems by introducing a sensitivity parameter and expanding Maclaurin series around it. By solving an OTC law of the augmented system, the OTC law of the original system is obtained. A numerical simulation is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

文摘Some existing methods for chaos control in engineering fields are analyzed and their drawbacks are pointed out. A tracking method can solve these problems to some extent, but it still depends on the mathematical model of the system to be controlled. An intelligent method based on fuzzy neural network (FNN) is used to control chaos in engineering fields. The FNN is employed to learn the inherent dynamics from the input and output of chaos, which can be used in the inverse system method, so that the method is free of the exact mathematical model of the system to be controlled. This intelligent method is compared with tracking method in the presence of measurement noise and model error. Simulation results show its superiority and feasibility.

文摘As the sampling rates of the inner loop and the outer loop of the target tracking control system are different,a typical digital multi-rate control system was formed.If the traditional single-rate design method was applied,the low sampling rate loop will seriously impact the dynamical characteristic of the system.After analyzing and calculating the impact law of the low sampling rate loop to the bandwidth and the stability of the tracking system,a kind of multi-rate control system design method was introduced.Corresponding to the different sampling rates of the inner loop and the outer loop,the multi-rate control strategy was constituted by a high sampling rate sub-controller and a low sampling rate sub-controller.The two sub-controllers were designed separately and connected by means of the sampling rate converter.The low sampling rate controller determined the response rapidity of the system,while the high sampling rate controller applied additionally effective control outputs to the system during a sampling interval of the low sampling rate controller.With the introduced high and low sampling rates sub-controllers,the tracking control system can achieve the same performance as a single-rate controller with high sampling rate,yet it works under a much lower sampling rate.The simulation and experimental results show the effectiveness of the introduced multi-rate control design method.It reduces the settling time by 5 times and the over shoot by 4 times compared with the PID control.

文摘This work proposes the application of an iterative learning model predictive control(ILMPC)approach based on an adaptive fault observer(FOBILMPC)for fault-tolerant control and trajectory tracking in air-breathing hypersonic vehicles.In order to increase the control amount,this online control legislation makes use of model predictive control(MPC)that is based on the concept of iterative learning control(ILC).By using offline data to decrease the linearized model’s faults,the strategy may effectively increase the robustness of the control system and guarantee that disturbances can be suppressed.An adaptive fault observer is created based on the suggested ILMPC approach in order to enhance overall fault tolerance by estimating and compensating for actuator disturbance and fault degree.During the derivation process,a linearized model of longitudinal dynamics is established.The suggested ILMPC approach is likely to be used in the design of hypersonic vehicle control systems since numerical simulations have demonstrated that it can decrease tracking error and speed up convergence when compared to the offline controller.
文摘This paper investigates the finite-time attitude tracking problem for rigid spacecraft. Two backstepping finite-time slid- ing mode control laws are proposed to solve this problem in the presence of inertia uncertainties and external disturbances. The first control scheme is developed by combining sliding mode con- trol with a backstepping technique to achieve fast and accurate tracking responses. To obtain higher tracking precision and relax the requirement of the upper bounds on the uncertainties, a se- cond control law is also designed by combining the second or- der sliding mode control and an adaptive backstepping technique. This control law provides complete compensation of uncertainty and disturbances. Although it assumes that the uncertainty and disturbances are bounded, the proposed control law does not require information about the bounds on the uncertainties and disturbances. Finite-time convergence of attitude tracking errors and the stability of the closed-loop system are ensured by the Lya- punov approach. Numerical simulations on attitude tracking control of spacecraft are provided to demonstrate the performance of the proposed controllers.

文摘This paper focuses on the dynamic tracking control of ammunition manipulator system. A standard state space model for the ammunition manipulator electro-hydraulic system(AMEHS) with inherent nonlinearities and uncertainties considered was established. To simultaneously suppress the violation of tracking error constraints and the complexity of differential explosion, a barrier Lyapunov functionsbased dynamic surface control(BLF-DSC) method was proposed for the position tracking control of the ammunition manipulator. Theoretical analysis prove the stability of the closed-loop overall system and the tracking error converges to a prescribed neighborhood asymptotically. The effectiveness and dynamic tracking performance of the proposed control strategy is validated via simulation and experimental results.

文摘Aimed at designing the unpower aerocraft attitude control system in a simple and practical way, the guaranteed cost control is adopted. To eliminate the steady-error, a novel tracking control approach--augmented state feedback tracking guaranteed cost control is proposed. Firstly, the unpower aerocraft is modeled as a linear system with norm bounded parameter uncertain, then the linear matrix inequality based state feedback guaranteed cost control law is combined with the augmented state feedback tracking control from a new point of view. The sufficient condition of the existence of the augmented state feedback tracking guaranteed cost control is derived and converted to the feasible problem of the linear matrix inequality. Finally, the proposed approach is applied to a specified unpower aerocraft. The six dimensions of freedom simulation results show that the proposed approach is effective and feasible.

文摘The focus of this paper is on control design and simulation for the longitudinal model of a flexible air-breathing hypersonic vehicle(FAHV).The model of interest includes flexibility effects and intricate couplings between the engine dynamics and flight dynamics.To overcome the analytical intractability of this model,a nominal control-oriented model is constructed for the purpose of feedback control design in the first place.Secondly,the multi-input multi-output(MIMO) quasi-continuous high-order sliding mode(HOSM) controller is proposed to track step changes in velocity and altitude,which is based on full state feedback.The simulation results are presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.

文摘A novel gain-scheduled switching control method for the longitudinal motion of a flexible air-breathing hypersonic vehicle (FAHV) is proposed. Firstly, velocity and altitude are selected as scheduling variables, a polytopic linear parameter varying (LPV) model is developed to represent the complex nonlinear longitudinal dynamics of the FAHV. Secondly, based on the obtained polytopic LPV model, the flight envelope is divided into four smaller subregions, and four gain-scheduled controllers are designed for these parameter subregions. Then, by the defined switching characteristic function, these gain-scheduled controllers are switched in order to guarantee the closed-loop FAHV system to be asymptotically stable and satisfy a given tracking error performance criterion. The condition of gain-scheduled switching controller synthesis is given in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) which can be easily solved by using standard software packages. Finally, simulation results show the effectiveness of the presented method.

文摘Aiming at tracking control of a class of innovative control effector(ICE) aircraft with distributed arrays of actuators, this paper proposes a control allocation scheme based on the Lévy flight.Different from the conventional aircraft control allocation problem,the particular characteristic of actuators makes the actuator control command totally subject to integer constraints. In order to tackle this problem, first, the control allocation problem is described as an integer programming problem with two desired objectives. Then considering the requirement of real-time, a metaheuristic algorithm based on the Lévy flight is introduced to tackling this problem. In order to improve the searching efficiency, several targeted and heuristic strategies including variable step length and inherited population initialization according to feedback and so on are designed. Moreover, to prevent the incertitude of the metaheuristic algorithm and ensure the flight stability, a guaranteed control strategy is designed. Finally, a time-varying simulation model is introduced to verifying the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. The contrastive simulation results indicate that the proposed scheme achieves superior tracking performance with appropriate actuator dynamics and computational time, and the improvements for efficiency are active and the parameter settings are reasonable.

文摘A fuzzy robust path tracking strategy of an active pelagic trawl system with ship and winch regulation is proposed.First,nonlinear mathematic model of the pelagic trawl system was derived using Lagrange equation and further simplified as a low order model for the convenience of controller design.Then,an active path tracking strategy of pelagic trawl system was investigated to improve the catching efficiency of the target fish near the sea bottom.By means of the active tracking control,the pelagic trawl net can be positioned dynamically to follow a specified trajectory via the coordinated winch and ship regulation.In addition,considering the system nonlinearities,modeling uncertainties and the unknown exogenous disturbance of the trawl system model,a nonlinear robust H2 /H∞ controller based on Takagi-Sugeno(T-S) fuzzy model was presented,and the simulation comparison with linear robust H2 /H∞ controller and PID method was conducted for the validation of the nonlinear fuzzy robust controller.The nonlinear simulation results show that the average tracking error is 0.4 m for the fuzzy robust H2 /H∞ control and 125.8 m for the vertical and horizontal displacement,respectively,which is much smaller than linear H2 /H∞ controller and the PID controller.The investigation results illustrate that the fuzzy robust controller is effective for the active path tracking control of the pelagic trawl system.

文摘The tracking and stable control of a typical shipmounted mobile satellite communication system(MSCS) is studied.Unlike the former studies based on simplified single-axis models,a tri-axis nonlinear model including the kinematic and dynamic features of the MSCS is used as the control object.An adaptive robust controller with trajectory planning is designed to deal with large parametric uncertainties and uncertain nonlinearities of the system.A theoretic performance result is given and proved.The designed adaptive robust controller and other two traditional controllers are tested in the comparative simulations under three different situations.The simulation results show the tracking and stable validity of the proposed controller.

文摘In this paper,direct adaptive-state feedback control schemes are developed to solve the problem of asymptotic tracking and disturbance rejection for a class of distributed large-scale systems with faulty and perturbed interconnection links.In terms of the special distributed architectures,the adaptation laws are proposed to update controller parameters on-line when all interconnected fault factors,the upper bounds of perturbations in interconnection links,and external disturbances on subsystems axe unknown.Then,a class of distributed state feedback controllers is constructed to automatically compensate the fault and perturbation effects,and reject the disturbances simultaneously based on the information from adaptive schemes.The proposed adaptive robust tracking controllers can guarantee that the resulting adaptive closed-loop distributed system is stable and each subsystem can asymptotic-output track the corresponding reference signal in the presence of faults and perturbations in interconnection links,and external disturbances.The proposed design technique is finally evaluated in the light of a simulation example.
