Three-dimensional ordered macro/mesoporous carbon(3DOM/m-C)with high specific surface area was synthesized by colloid crystal template method with chemical activation by KOH and used as the adsorbent for removing mala...Three-dimensional ordered macro/mesoporous carbon(3DOM/m-C)with high specific surface area was synthesized by colloid crystal template method with chemical activation by KOH and used as the adsorbent for removing malachite green(MG)in aqueous solution.The microstructures of the adsorbents were characterized by FESEM,TEM and BET,and the effects of initial dye concentration,contact time,solution pH,and temperature on adsorption performance were investigated.The results show that the 3DOM/m-C exhibits extremely high adsorption capacity of 3541.1 mg/g within 2 h,which could be attributed to the novel ordered hierarchical structure with mesopores on three-dimensional ordered macroporous carbon walls.And the adsorption behavior conforms to the pseudo-second-order kinetic and Langmuir adsorption isotherm.3DOM/m-C can be recycled after being desorbed by absolute ethanol,and still maintains a high capacity of 2762.06 mg/g after 5 cycles.展开更多

Within the interstitial void of the template, β diketonate titanium com...A rigid silica colloidal crystal template was formed by self assembly of the monodispersed silica dispersion prepared according to Stber method. Within the interstitial void of the template, β diketonate titanium complexes[(dbm) 3Ti(OPh)/MAO] catalyzed polymerization of styrene was carried out to form syndiotactic polystyrene(sPS)/silica composites. The titled ordered macroporous syndiotactic polystyrene was achieved by chemical decomposition of the silica template with concentrated aqueous hydrofluoric acid, which was confirmed by SEM results. FTIR spectra indicated that all silica was removed from the composites in this study. DSC revealed that the as prepared macroporous sPS was significantly different from the bulk one, and the unique properties were inherent rather than from the enforcement effect by the silica template. Further investigation concerning the inherent microstrucutures about the molecular weight and its distribution, tacticity of the styrene etc . and their dependence on the confinement is in progress.展开更多

The ordered structure arranged by the uniform pores and the pore-pore interconnectivity through the window channel is confirmed by SEM characterization. UV-Vis-near IR absorption experiment result reveals that the wavelength at the stop band peak is tunable within the whole visible spectrum via simply altering some parameters such as pH value and light incidence angle. This finding allows to design frequency-tunable photonic band gap materials.展开更多
Floating assembly method is a new way for preparing ordered macroporous materials.In this process,the co-mixture of binary colloidal particles was fabricated through the rapid assembly of polystyrene(PS)as a template ...Floating assembly method is a new way for preparing ordered macroporous materials.In this process,the co-mixture of binary colloidal particles was fabricated through the rapid assembly of polystyrene(PS)as a template and SiO2 nanoparticles at the air-water interface of the suspension,the ordered macroporous materials were obtained by removing the template.Scanning Electron Micrographs(SEM)show that macroporous material had regular close-packed face-centered cubic(fcc)structure and spaces left by templates were connected through some windows.The results indicate that the formation of ordered porous structure was influenced by the diameter of PS microspheres remarkably.When the diameter was in the range of 200-500 nm the ordered structure could be obtained easily.And the volume ratio of PS microspheres to SiO2 nanoparticles in the maxed suspension wasn’t primary factor of the the formation of the ordered structure.展开更多
