However, the actual working temperature of slopes varies, and natural phenomena such as rainfall and groundwater infiltration commonly result in unsaturated soil conditions, with cracks typically present in cohesive slopes. This study introduces a novel approach for assessing the stability of unsaturated soil stepped slopes under varying temperatures, incorporating the effects of open and vertical cracks. Utilizing the kinematic approach and gravity increase method, we developed a three-dimensional (3D) rotational wedge failure mechanism to simulate slope collapse, enhancing the traditional two-dimensional analyses. We integrated temperature-dependent functions and nonlinear shear strength equations to evaluate the impact of temperature on four typical unsaturated soil types. A particle swarm optimization algorithm was employed to calculate the safety factor, ensuring our method’s accuracy by comparing it with existing studies. The results indicate that considering 3D effects yields a higher safety factor, while cracks reduce slope stability. Each unsaturated soil exhibits a distinctive temperature response curve, highlighting the importance of understanding soil types in the design phase.展开更多

However, due to the temper-ature sensitivity of optical devices, the influence of environmen-tal temperature causes errors in FOG, thereby greatly limiting their output accuracy. This work researches on machine-learn-ing based temperature error compensation techniques for FOG. Specifically, it focuses on compensating for the bias errors gen-erated in the fiber ring due to the Shupe effect. This work pro-poses a composite model based on k-means clustering, sup-port vector regression, and particle swarm optimization algo-rithms. Moreover, met-rics such as root mean square error (RMSE), mean absolute error (MAE), bias stability, and Allan variance, are selected to evaluate the model’s performance and compensation effective-ness. This work effectively enhances the consistency between data and models across different temperature ranges and tem-perature gradients, improving the bias stability of the FOG from 0.022 °/h to 0.006 °/h. Compared to the existing methods utiliz-ing a single machine learning model, the proposed method increases the bias stability of the compensated FOG from 57.11% to 71.98%, and enhances the suppression of rate ramp noise coefficient from 2.29% to 14.83%. This work improves the accuracy of FOG after compensation, providing theoretical guid-ance and technical references for sensors error compensation work in other fields.展开更多

文摘The effect of real-time high temperature and thermal treatment on the mechanical characteristics and crack evolution of granite with different grain sizes(i.e.,0.5 mm,0.7 mm and 1.0 mm)is investigated by numerical simulation employing a grain-based model, and the impact of initial cracks on thermal-induced strengthening is also examined by integrating random cracks within the model before tests. The results revealed that thermal stress, induced by the mismatch in thermal expansion coefficient between various minerals,is the primary distinction between rock specimens in real-time high temperature and thermal treatment. With increasing temperature, the thermal stress gradually accumulates in quartz minerals under real-time high temperature but releases after thermal treatment. The high local contact force significantly affects the peak stress and crack evolution.Uniaxial compression simulation results demonstrate that progressive accumulation of thermal stress induces degradation in macroscopic peak strength and increase of microcrack density. The grain size controls the ratio of intergranular contacts to intragranular contacts, and leads to an increase in strong contact number in the intragrain and a decrease in strong contact number in the intergrain. The strengthening of uniaxial compression strength in the experiment can be well simulated by controlling the number of pre-existing initial cracks in the numerical model. Our conclusions are beneficial to a better understanding of the underlying mechanisms of thermal damage and thermal strengthening of granite for deep geological engineering.
文摘[Objective]Accurate prediction of crop canopy temperature is essential for comprehensively assessing crop growth status and guiding agricultural production. This study focuses on kiwifruit and grapes to address the challenges in accurately predicting crop canopy temperature.[Methods]A dynamic prediction model for crop canopy temperature was developed based on Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM),Variational Mode Decomposition(VMD),and the Rime Ice Morphology-based Optimization Algorithm(RIME)optimization algorithm, named RIME-VMD-RIME-LSTM(RIME2-VMDLSTM).Firstly,crop canopy temperature data were collected by an inspection robot suspended on a cableway.Secondly, through the performance of multiple pre-test experiments,VMD-LSTM was selected as the base model. To reduce crossinterference between different frequency components of VMD,the K-means clustering algorithm was applied to cluster the sample entropy of each component, reconstructing them into new components. Finally, the RIME optimization algorithm was utilized to optimize the parameters of VMD and LSTM,enhancing the model's prediction accuracy.[Results and Discussions]The experimental results demonstrated that the proposed model achieved lower Root Mean Square Error(RMSE)and Mean Absolute Error(MAE)(0.3601 and 0.2543°C,respectively)in modeling different noise environments than the comparator model.Furthermore, the R2 value reached a maximum of 0.9947.[Conclusions]This model provides a feasible method for dynamically predicting crop canopy temperature and offers data support for assessing crop growth status in agricultural parks.

文摘The impact of extreme temperatures on the health of individuals in different organizations remains uncertain. We employed stratified analyses to examine the impacts of summer(April-September)daily maximum temperatures and winter(October-March)daily minimum temperatures on blood pressure and lipid profiles across government staff,com-pany employees, and researchers. We examined 209,477 physical examination records from a physical examination center in the First Affiliated Hospital of USTC from 2017 to 2021.Employing a segmented regression model within the frame-work of generalized linear regression(GLM),we examined the causal impact of extreme temperatures on health outcomes.Additionally, sensitivity analyses were conducted via distributed lag nonlinear models(DLNMs),with a focus on ob-serving the long-term effects over a period of 21 days. Our findings indicate that government staff face increased health risks during extremely low temperatures, regardless of the season.Compared with participants experiencing median tem-peratures,government staff exposed to extremely low temperatures(below the 10th percentile, below 24℃)in the sum-mer presented maximum increases of 2.32 mmHg(95%CI:1.542-3.098)in diastolic blood pressure and 6.481 mmHg(95%CI:5.368-7.594)in systolic blood pressure. In winter, government staff exposed to temperatures below the 10th per-centile(below 1℃)demonstrated maximum increases of 0.278 mmol/L(95%CI:0.210-0.346)in total cholesterol,0.153 mmol/L(95%CI:0.032-0.274)in triglycerides, and 0.077 mmol/L(95%CI:0.192-0.134)in low-density lipoprotein.Conversely, warm winters benefit company employees, whereas researchers exhibit lower sensitivity to temperature changes in winter. The maximum temperatures in summer and minimum temperatures in winter had greater impacts on in-dividuals.Small temperature fluctuations impact health more than large changes do.Notably, both the maximum and min-imum temperatures were better predictors of health outcomes than the daily average temperature was.Blood pressure con-sistently displayed significant associations with temperature across all three groups, with extremely low temperatures in-creasing the risk and extremely high temperatures reducing it.However, the relationship between temperature and blood lipids is complex.
文摘A metal-sensitive diaphragm fiber optic pressure sensor with temperature compensation is developed for pressure monitoring in high-temperature environments, such as engine fuel systems, oil and gas wells, and aviation hydraulic systems. The sensor combines a metal-sensitive diaphragm and a sapphire wafer to form a temperature-pressure dual Fabry-Perot(FP)interference cavity.A cross-correlation signal demodulation algorithm and a temperature decoupling method are utilized to reduce the influence of temperature crosstalk on pressure measurement.Experimental results show that the maximum nonlinear error of the sensor pressure measurement is 0.75%full scale(FS)and 0.99%FS at room temperature and 300°C,respectively,in a pressure range of 0−10 MPa and 0−1.5 MPa.The sensor’s pressure measurement accuracy is 1.7%FS when using the temperature decoupling method. The sensor exhibits good static pressure characteristics, stability, and reliability, providing an effective solution for high-temperature pressure monitoring applications.

文摘ZnAl_(2)O_(4) and ZnAl_(2)O_(4)-based ceramics have attracted much attention from researchers due to their good microwave dielectric, thermal and mechanical properties. In this work, the influence of 5%(in mass)CuO-TiO_(2)-Nb_(2)O_(5)(CTN)ternary composite oxide additives with different composition ratios on sintering behavior and properties of ZnAl_(2)O_(4) microwave dielectric ceramics was investigated. When the molar fraction ranges of Cu,Ti and Nb elements in 5%CTN additives are 0.625-0.875,0-0.250 and 0.125-0.625,respectively,sintering temperature of ZnAl_(2)O_(4) ceramics can be reduced from above 1400℃to below 1000℃.The sintering additives CN(Cu:Nb=1:1,molar ratio)and CTN(Cu:Ti:Nb=4:1:3,molar ratio)can reduce sintering temperature of ZnAl_(2)O_(4) ceramics to 975 and 1000℃,respectively,while maintaining good dielectric properties(dielectric constantε_(r)=11.36,quality factor Q׃=8245 GHz andε_(r)=9.52,Q׃=22249 GHz)and flexural strengths(200 and 161 MPa),which are expected to be applied in preparation of low temperature co-fired ceramic(LTCC)materials with copper electrodes.Low-temperature sintering of the ZnAl_(2)O_(4)+CTN system is characterized as activated sintering.Nanometer-level amorphous interfacial films containing Cu,Ti,and Nb elements are observed at the grain boundaries, which may provide fast diffusion pathways for mass transportation during the sintering process.Valence changes of Ti and Cu ions, along with changes of oxygen vacancies, are confirmed, which provides a potential mechanism for reduced sintering temperature of ZnAl_(2)O_(4) ceramics. In addition,a series of reactions occurring at the grain boundaries can activate these boundaries and further promote the sintering densification process. These results suggest a promising way to design a novel LTCC material with excellent properties based on the low temperature sintering of ceramics with the sintering aid of CuO-TiO_(2)-Nb_(2)O_(5) composite oxide.

文摘The ductile-to-brittle transition temperature(DBTT)of high strength steels can be optimized by tailoring microstructure and crystallographic orientation characteristics, where the start cooling temperature plays a key role.In this work,X70 steels with different start cooling temperatures were prepared through thermo-mechanical control process. The quasi-polygonal ferrite(QF),granular bainite(GB),bainitic ferrite(BF)and martensite-austenite constituents were formed at the start cooling temperatures of 780℃(C1),740℃(C2)and 700℃(C3).As start cooling temperature decreased, the amount of GB decreased, the microstructure of QF and BF increased.Microstructure characteristics of the three samples, such as high-angle grain boundaries(HAGBs),MA constituents and crystallographic orientation, also varied with the start cooling temperatures.C2 sample had the lowest DBTT value(−86℃)for its highest fraction of HAGBs,highest content of<110>oriented grains and lowest content of<001>oriented grains parallel to TD.The high density of{332}<113>and low density of rotated cube{001}<110>textures also contributed to the best impact toughness of C2 sample. In addition,a modified model was used in this paper to quantitatively predict the approximate DBTT value of steels.

文摘In existing studies, most slope stability analyses concentrate on conditions with constant temperature, assuming the slope is intact, and employ the Mohr-Coulomb (M-C) failure criterion for saturated soil to characterize the strength of the backfill. Each unsaturated soil exhibits a distinctive temperature response curve, highlighting the importance of understanding soil types in the design phase.

文摘As the core component of inertial navigation systems, fiber optic gyroscope (FOG), with technical advantages such as low power consumption, long lifespan, fast startup speed, and flexible structural design, are widely used in aerospace, unmanned driving, and other fields. And it significantly reduced redundancy within the sam-ples by adopting the interval sequence sample. This work improves the accuracy of FOG after compensation, providing theoretical guid-ance and technical references for sensors error compensation work in other fields.

文摘The liquid cooling system(LCS)of fuel cells is challenged by significant time delays, model uncertainties, pump and fan coupling, and frequent disturbances, leading to overshoot and control oscillations that degrade temperature regulation performance. To address these challenges,we propose a composite control scheme combining fuzzy logic and a variable-gain generalized supertwisting algorithm(VG-GSTA).Firstly,a one-dimensional(1D)fuzzy logic controler(FLC)for the pump ensures stable coolant flow, while a two-dimensional(2D)FLC for the fan regulates the stack temperature near the reference value. The VG-GSTA is then introduced to eliminate steady-state errors, offering resistance to disturbances and minimizing control oscillations. The equilibrium optimizer is used to fine-tune VG-GSTA parameters.Co-simulation verifies the effectiveness of our method, demonstrating its advantages in terms of disturbance immunity, overshoot suppression, tracking accuracy and response speed.

文摘The use of lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries is limited by sulfur redox reactions involving multi-phase transformations, especially at low-temperatures.To address this issue,we report a material(FCNS@NCFs)consisting of nitrogen-doped carbon fibers loaded with a ternary metal sulf-ide((Fe,Co,Ni)_(9)S_(8))for use as the sulfur host in Li-S batteries. This materi-al was prepared using transfer blot filter paper as the carbon precursor, thiourea as the source of nitrogen and sulfur, and FeCl_(3)·6H_(2)O,CoCl_(2)·6H_(2)O and NiCl_(2)·6H_(2)O as the metal ion sources. It was synthesized by an impreg-nation method followed by calcination. The nitrogen doping significantly in-creased the conductivity of the host, and the metal sulfides have excellent catalytic activities.Theoretical calculations, and adsorption and deposition experiments show that active sites on the surface of FCNS@NCFs selectively adsorb polysulfides, facilitate rapid adsorption and conversion, prevent cathode passivation and inhib-it the polysulfide shuttling. The FCNS@NCFs used as the sulfur host has excellent electrochemical properties. Its initial dis-charge capacity is 1639.0 mAh g^(−1) at 0.2 C and room temperature, and it remains a capacity of 1255.1 mAh g^(−1) after 100 cycles.At−20~C,it has an initial discharge capacity of 1578.5 mAh g^(−1) at 0.2 C,with a capacity of 867.5 mAh g^(−1) after 100 cycles. Its excellent performance at both ambient and low temperatures suggests a new way to produce high-performance low-temper-ature Li-S batteries.

文摘Electrocatalytic reduction of carbon dioxide(CO_(2))to carbon monoxide(CO)is an effective strategy to achieve carbon neutrality.High selective and low-cost catalysts for the electrocatalytic reduction of CO_(2)have received increasing attention. In contrast to the conventional tube furnace method, the high-temperature shock(HTS)method enables ultra-fast thermal processing, superior atomic efficiency, and a streamlined synthesis protocol, offering a simplified method for the preparation of high-performance single-atom catalysts(SACs).The reports have shown that nickel-based SACs can be synthesized quickly and conveniently using the HTS method, making their application in CO_(2)reduction reactions(CO_(2)RR)a viable and promising avenue for further exploration. In this study, the effect of heating temperature, metal loading and different nitrogen(N)sources on the catalyst morphology, coordination environment and electrocatalytic performance were investigated.Under optimal conditions,0.05Ni-DCD-C-1050 showed excellent performance in reducing CO_(2)to CO,with CO selectivity close to 100%(−0.7 to−1.0 V vs RHE)and current density as high as 130 mA/cm^(2)(−1.1 V vs RHE)in a flow cell under alkaline environment.
文摘In order to suppress the influence of temperature changes on the performance of accelerometers,a digital quartz resonant accelerometer with low temperature drift is developed using a quartz resonator cluster as a transducer element. In addition,a digital intellectual property(IP) is designed in FPGA to achieve signal processing and fusion of integrated resonators.A testing system for digital quartz resonant accelerometers is established to characterize the performance under different conditions. The scale factor of the accelerometer prototype reaches 3561.63 Hz/g in the range of -1 g to +1 g,and 3542.5 Hz/g in the range of-10 g to+10 g.In different measurement ranges, the linear correlation coefficient R~2 of the accelerometer achieves greater than 0.998.The temperature drift of the accelerometer prototype is tested using a constant temperature test chamber, with a temperature change from -20℃ to 80℃.After temperature-drift compensation, the zero bias temperature coefficient falls to 0.08 mg/℃,and the scale factor temperature coefficient is 65.43 ppm/℃.The experimental results show that the digital quartz resonant accelerometer exhibits excellent sensitivity and low temperature drift.

文摘The new technology of direct decomposition of H_(2)S into high value-added H_(2) and S,as an alternative to the Claus process in industry,is an ideal route that can not only deal with toxic and abundant H_(2)S waste gas but also recover clean energy H_(2),which has significant socio-economic and ecological advantages. However, the highly effective decomposition of H_(2)S at low temperatures is still a great challenge, because of the stringent thermodynamic equilibrium constraints(only 20% even at high temperature of 1010℃).Conventional microwave catalysts exhibit unsatisfactory performance at low temperatures(below 600℃).Herein,Mo_(2)C@CeO_(2) catalysts with a core-shell structure were successfully developed for robust microwave catalytic decomposition of H_(2)S at low temperatures. Two carbon precursors,para-phenylenediamine(Mo_(2)C-p)and meta-phenylenediamine(Mo_(2)C-m),were employed to tailor Mo_(2)C configurations.Remarkably, the H_(2)S conversion of Mo_(2)C-p@CeO_(2) catalyst at a low temperature of 550℃ is as high as 92.1%,which is much higher than the H_(2)S equilibrium conversion under the conventional thermal conditions(2.6% at 550℃).To our knowledge, this represents the most active catalyst for microwave catalytic decomposition of H_(2)S at low temperature of 550℃.Notably,Mo_(2)C-p demonstrated superior intrinsic activity(84%)compared to Mo_(2)C-m(6.4%),with XPS analysis revealing that its enhanced performance stems from a higher concentration of Mo_(2+)active sites. This work presents a substitute approach for the efficient utilization of H_(2)S waste gas and opens up a novel avenue for the rational design of microwave catalysts for microwave catalytic reaction at low-temperature.
文摘The pressure and temperature increase resulting from the impact of different threats onto target materials is analyzed with a unified laboratory-scale setup. This allows deriving qualitative information on the occurring phenomenology as well as quantitative statements about the relative effects sizes as a function of target material and threat. The considered target materials are steel, aluminum, and magnesium. As threats, kinetic energy penetrator, explosively formed projectile, and shaped charge jet are used. For the investigated combinations, the measured overpressures vary by a factor of up to 5 for a variation of the material,by a factor of up to 7 for a variation of the threat, and by a factor larger than 15for a simultaneous variation of both. The obtained results as well as the experimental approach are relevant for the basic understanding of impact effects and risks due to material reactivity. The paper combines two main aims.Firstly,to provide a summary of own prior work in a coherent journal article and, secondly,to review and discuss these earlier results with a new perspective.

文摘This paper focuses on the high-temperature tensile failure mechanism of RTM(resin transfer moulding)-made symmetric and asymmetric composite T-joints.The failure modes as well as the load-displacement curves of symmetric(three specimens)and asymmetric(three specimens)composite T-joints were determined by tensile tests at room and high temperatures.Progressive damage models(PDMs)of symmetric and asymmetric composite T-joints at room and high temperatures were established based on mixed criteria, and the result predicted from the aforementioned PDMs were compared with experimental data. The predicted initial and final failure loads and failure modes are in good agreement with the experimental results. The failure mechanisms of composite T-joints at different temperatures were investigated by scanning electron microscopy. The results reveal that while the failure mode of asymmetric T-joints at high temperatures resembles that at room temperature, there is a difference in the failure modes of symmetric T-joints.The ultimate failure load of symmetric and asymmetric T-joints at elevated temperatures increases and reduces by 18.4%and 4.97%,albeit with a more discrete distri-bution.This work is expected to provide us with more knowledge about the usability of composite T-joints in elevated temperature environments.

文摘The microstructures, mechanical properties, and fracture behaviors of an Al-5.9Zn-1.9Mg alloy subjected to thermomechanical treatment across different pre-rolling temperatures have been exhaustively investigated in present work. The pre-deformation temperature exerts a modest influence on grain morphology, while it profoundly impacts the dislocation configurations and precipitation behaviors.Elevating the rolling temperature from ambient to 170℃results in a reduction in dislocation density within grains accompanied by a notable enhancement in their distributional uniformity. While advancing the temperature to 320℃prompts the premature formation of precipitates during deformation, which diminishes the precipitation during the subsequent ageing.Tensile results reveal that the thermomechanical treatment incorporating pre-rolling at 170℃confers a substantial strengthening effect on the alloy on the basis of both grain boundary strengthening and dislocation strengthening stemmed from pre-deformation along with the precipitation strengthening generated by ageing.Furthermore, the microstructure exhibits a relatively scarce presence of inhomogeneous features such as dislocation pile-ups and micro shear bands, contributing favorably to enhance the ductility of the alloy that presents the mixture of cleavage fracture and dimple-induced failure.

文摘Arching and cracking of joints between slabs have become a problem in China Railway Track System(CRTS)II slab track. The slab track is susceptible to complex temperature variations as a longitudinal continuous structure.Based on measured data,a thermal-mechanical coupling model of the track was established. The deformation characteristics and interfacial damage behavior of joints under typical temperature fields were studied. The findings indicate that the annual extreme temperature range of the slab track, fluctuates from−1.4 to 49.8℃.The annual temperature gradient within the vertical depth range of 0 to 0.2 m of the track varies between−16.19℃/m and 30.15℃/m.The vertical deformation of joints is significantly influenced by high temperatures, with a maximum measured deformation of 0.828 mm.The joint seams are primarily affected by low temperatures, which lead to a separation of 0.9 to 1.0 mm.Conversely, interlayer damage of joints is predominantly influenced by elevated temperatures. In summer, the maximum ratio of interface damage area in the joint can reach up to 95%,with the maximum debonding area ratio can be as high as 84%.The research results can provide help for joint damage regularity and deformation control of CRTS II slab track.

文摘Dynamic compression experiments were conducted on red sandstone utilizing a split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB)to study the loading rate and high temperatures on their mechanically deformed properties and ultimate failure modes, and to analyze the correlation between the strain rate, temperature, peak strength, and ultimate failure modes. The results show that the mass decreases with the increase of treatment temperature, and the pattern of the stress−strain curves is not impacted by the increase of impact velocity.Under a fixed temperature, the higher the impact velocity, the higher the strain rate and dynamical compression strength, indicating a strain rate hardening effect for red sandstone. With an increasing treatment temperature, the strain rate gradually increases when the impact loading remains unchanged, suggesting a rise in the deformability of red sandstone under high-temperature environment.Raise in both impact velocity and treatment temperature leads to an intensification of the damage features of the red sandstone.Similarly, higher strain rates lead to the intensification of the final damage mode of red sandstone regardless of the change in treatment temperature. Moreover,a dynamic damage constitutive model that considers the impacts of strain rate and temperature is proposed based on experimental results.
文摘During actual high-speed flights, the electromagnetic(EM)properties of aircraft radomes are influenced by dielectric temperature drift, leading to substantial drift in the boresight errors(BSEs)from their room temperature values. However, applying thermal loads to the radome during ground-based EM simulation tests is challenging. This paper presents an EM equivalent physical model(EEPM)for high-speed aircraft radomes that account for the effects of dielectric temperature drift. This is achieved by attaching dielectric slices of specific thicknesses to the outer surface of a room-temperature radome(RTR)to simulate the increase in electrical thickness resulting from high temperatures. This approach enables accurate simulations of the BSEs of high-temperature radomes(HTRs)under high-speed flight conditions. An application example, supported by full-wave numerical calculations and physical testing, demonstrates that the EEPM exhibits substantial improvement in approximating the HTR compared to the RTR,facilitating precise simulations of the BSEs of HTRs during high-speed flights.Overall, the proposed EEPM is anticipated to considerably enhance the alignment between the ground-based simulations of high-speed aircraft guidance systems and their actual flight conditions.
