A mechanical sieve is set up for sifting different solid particles into the discharge space uniformly. The lightning impulse voltage according with international electro-technical commission (IEC) standard is applied to the electrodes inside the discharge cabinet by the rule of up-down method in a total of 40 times. The results showed that the 50% lightning impulse breakdown voltage in two-phase mixture of gas and solid particles has its own features and is much different from that in air.展开更多

The stress-strain curve is shown to separate into smooth, elastic branches followed by a subsequent plastic event. Mode analysis shows that the lowest-frequency vibrational mode is more localized, and eigenvalues and participation ratios of low- frequency modes exhibit similar power-law behavior as the system approaches plastic instability, indicating that the nature of plastic events in the granular system is also a saddle node bifurcation. The analysis of projection and spatial structure shows that over 75% contributions to the non-affine displacement field at a plastic instability come from the lowest-frequency mode, and the lowest-frequency mode is strongly spatially correlated with local plastic rearrangements, inferring that the lowest-frequency mode could be used as a predictor for future plastic rearrangements in the disordered system jammed marginally.展开更多

Despite to air filters, there are comparatively few studies on dry gas filters, particularly at industrial scale. In fact, major unsolved challenges such as high efficiency, low pressure drop, long-term stability, high-thermal and chemical stability and advanced physiochemical properties, are still remained. The aim of this review is to scrutinize the advanced scientific and technological practices (such as selection of appropriate polymeric materials and additives, nanotechnology, modification techniques and preparation methods) towards design and fabrication of an efficient filter media for solid particles removal from the natural gas flow. Recent progresses in solid particle separation mechanisms, modeling and simulation techniques and the effect of membrane fabrication methods on its performance, strategies for modification of filter media, current challenges and future perspective are discussed.展开更多

文摘A test study on 50% lightning impulse breakdown voltage in two-phase mixture of gas and solid particles has been carried out in a specially designed discharge cabinet.
