Distance作为动物种群密度调查方法,得到了越来越广泛的应用。2011年夏季,在大丰麋鹿国家级自然保护区进行了鸟类调查,对比了传统的固定距离样线法、固定半径样点法与Distance计算结果的差异。通过对样点法和样线法在鸟类多样性、有效半径、鸟的密度等方面的比较可知,样线法能得到较多的鸟种,同时在调查鸟类密度方面也很实用。样线法与样点法调查的鸟类体长相近。另外,固定距离样线法与固定半径样点法距离/半径的选取可以以鸟的体型作为参考因素,体型越大的鸟半径的取值可随之增大。 展开更多

DV-Distance算法通过未知节点与锚节点间的多跳协作,实现节点位置估计,简单实用,但定位精度不高。为了提高算法性能,本文提出一种基于粒子群优化的DV-Distance改进算法,针对RSSI测距引起的误差,利用链路质量指示(LQI)对RSSI的测量值进行惯性滤波,建立基于LQI的RSSI测距模型;并针对位置估计方法所引起的误差,通过粒子群算法对节点位置进行优化。结合DV-Distance算法自身特点,确定了粒子群算法适应值函数的选取和关键算法参数的确定。最后,仿真和实验证明改进算法有效可行,具有较高的定位精度。 展开更多

The network diameter is an important characteristic parameter of a complex network. Calculation for a large-scale complex network’s diameter has been an important subject in the study of complex networks. If the network diameter is calculated directly, the problem mainly exists in efficiency for searching and counting the shortest paths. If the network diameter is calculated indirectly by studying the statistical function about the relationship between the network diameter and parameters affecting the diameter, the problems not only exist in the efficiency of statistic, but also exist in the function which may be not applicable to all kinds of networks. An algorithm for the complex network diameter based on the k order distance matrix is proposed with a matrix multiplication approach, and a mathematical proof for the algorithm correctness is given as well. Furthermore, some relevant propositions and deductions for reducing the complexity of this algorithm are put forward. With a good theoretical basis and a simple calculation process, this algorithm can be used to calculate the diameter of a large-scale complex network with small-world effect more accurately and efficiently. Two cases about the advanced research projects agency(ARPA) network model and the Chinese airline network model are adopted to verify the effect of this algorithm. 展开更多

The multipath effect and movements of people in indoor environments lead to inaccurate localization. Through the test, calculation and analysis on the received signal strength indication (RSSI) and the variance of RSSI, we propose a novel variance-based fingerprint distance adjustment algorithm (VFDA). Based on the rule that variance decreases with the increase of RSSI mean, VFDA calculates RSSI variance with the mean value of received RSSIs. Then, we can get the correction weight. VFDA adjusts the fingerprint distances with the correction weight based on the variance of RSSI, which is used to correct the fingerprint distance. Besides, a threshold value is applied to VFDA to improve its performance further. VFDA and VFDA with the threshold value are applied in two kinds of real typical indoor environments deployed with several Wi-Fi access points. One is a quadrate lab room, and the other is a long and narrow corridor of a building. Experimental results and performance analysis show that in indoor environments, both VFDA and VFDA with the threshold have better positioning accuracy and environmental adaptability than the current typical positioning methods based on the k-nearest neighbor algorithm and the weighted k-nearest neighbor algorithm with similar computational costs. 展开更多

Data processing of small samples is an important and valuable research problem in the electronic equipment test. Because it is difficult and complex to determine the probability distribution of small samples, it is difficult to use the traditional probability theory to process the samples and assess the degree of uncertainty. Using the grey relational theory and the norm theory, the grey distance information approach, which is based on the grey distance information quantity of a sample and the average grey distance information quantity of the samples, is proposed in this article. The definitions of the grey distance information quantity of a sample and the average grey distance information quantity of the samples, with their characteristics and algorithms, are introduced. The correlative problems, including the algorithm of estimated value, the standard deviation, and the acceptance and rejection criteria of the samples and estimated results, are also proposed. Moreover, the information whitening ratio is introduced to select the weight algorithm and to compare the different samples. Several examples are given to demonstrate the application of the proposed approach. The examples show that the proposed approach, which has no demand for the probability distribution of small samples, is feasible and effective. 展开更多

However, the classical DS evidence theory involves counter-intuitive behaviors when the high conflict information exists. Based on the analysis of some modified methods, Assigning the weighting factors according to the intrinsic characteristics of the existing evidence sources is proposed, which is determined on the evidence distance theory. From the numerical examples, the proposed method provides a reasonable result with good convergence efficiency. In addition, the new rule retrieves to the Yager's formula when all the evidence sources contradict to each other completely. 展开更多

This paper presents a method to estimate beam pointing of phased array radar by the pulse amplitude train, which is significant in radar electronic reconnaissance and electronic support measure. Firstly, the antenna patterns modeling of the phased array system is exploited to build the radar sweeping model and the signal propagation model. Secondly, the relationship between the variation of the radiated power and the antenna beam pointing angles in the given airspace is analyzed. Based on the above two points, the sample with obvious amplitude characteristics of the pulse amplitude train can be screened out after detecting the train peaks. Finally, the sample is matched to the subsequent pulse amplitude train based on the Hausdorff distance. The proposed methods have less prior knowledge and higher efficiency and are easier to process. By cross correlating the sample of the pulse amplitude train with the sample data of the antenna follow-up radiation, the probability of detection of the beam pointing direction becomes larger in case that the subsequent antenna beam returns to the specific position. 展开更多

Based on the principle of Mahalanobis distance discriminant analysis (DDA) theory, a stability classification model for mine-lane surrounding rock was established, including six indexes of discriminant factors that reflect the engineering quality of surrounding rock: lane depth below surface, span of lane, ratio of directly top layer thickness to coal thickness, uniaxial comprehensive strength of surrounding rock, development degree coefficient of surrounding rock joint and range of broken surrounding rock zone. A DDA model was obtained through training 15 practical measuring samples. The re-substitution method was introduced to verify the stability of DDA model and the ratio of mis-discrimination is zero. The DDA model was used to discriminate 3 new samples and the results are identical with actual rock kind. Compared with the artificial neural network method and support vector mechanic method, the results show that this model has high prediction accuracy and can be used in practical engineering. 展开更多

Event region detection is the important application for wireless sensor networks(WSNs), where the existing faulty sensors would lead to drastic deterioration of network quality of service.Considering single-moment nodes fault-tolerance, a novel distributed fault-tolerant detection algorithm named distributed fault-tolerance based on weighted distance(DFWD) is proposed, which exploits the spatial correlation among sensor nodes and their redundant information.In sensor networks, neighborhood sensor nodes will be endowed with different relative weights respectively according to the distances between them and the central node.Having syncretized the weighted information of dual-neighborhood nodes appropriately, it is reasonable to decide the ultimate status of the central sensor node.Simultaneously, readings of faulty sensors would be corrected during this process.Simulation results demonstrate that the DFWD has a higher fault detection accuracy compared with other algorithms, and when the sensor fault probability is 10%, the DFWD can still correct more than 91% faulty sensor nodes, which significantly improves the performance of the whole sensor network. 展开更多

A critical safe distance(CSD)model in V2V(vehicle-to-vehicle)communication systems was proposed to primarily enhance driving safety by disseminating warning notifications to vehicles when they approach calculated CSD.By elaborately analyzing the vehicular movement features especially when braking,our CSD definition was introduced and its configuration method was given through dividing radio range into different communication zones.Based on our definition,the needed message propagation delay was also derived which could be used to control the beacon frequency or duration.Next,the detailed CSD expressions were proposed in different mobility scenarios by fully considering the relative movement status between the front and rear vehicles.Numerical results show that our proposed model could provide reasonable CSD under different movement scenarios which eliminates the unnecessary reserved inter-vehicle distance and guarantee the safety at the same time.The compared time-headway model always shows a smaller CSD due to focusing on traffic efficiency whereas the traditional braking model generally outputs a larger CSD because it assumes that the following car drives with a constant speed and did not discuss the scenario when the leading car suddenly stops.Different from these two models,our proposed model could well balances the requirements between driving safety and traffic throughput efficiency by generating a CSD in between the values of the two models in most cases. 展开更多

Firstly, a technique is proposed that can automatically divide the component groups for calculating Mahalanobis distance based on the gray level of wearing or breakage regions in a tool image. The wearing region can be divided into high gray level component group and the tool-blade into low one. Then, the relation between Mahalanobis distance features of component groups and tool conditions is investigated. The results indicate that the high brightness region on the flank surface of the turning tool will change with its abrasion change and if the tool is heavily abraded, the area of high brightness will increase apparently. The Mahalanobis distance features of high gray level component group are related with wearing state of tool and low gray level component group correlated with breakage of tool. The experimental results show that the abrasion of the tool’s flank surface affected the Mahalanobis distances of high brightness component of the tool and the pixels of high brightness component set. Compared with the changes of them, we found that the Mahalanobis distance of high brightness component of the tool was more sensitive to the abrasion of cutting tool than the area of high brightness component set of the tool. Here we found that the relative changing rate of the area of high brightness component set was not quite obvious and it was ranging from 2% to 15%, while the relative changing rate of the Mahalanobis distance in table 1 ranges from 13.9% to 47%. For deep tunnel projects,selecting an appropriate initial support distance is critical to improving the self-supporting capacity of surrounding rock.In this work,an intuitive method for determining the tunnel’s initial support distance was proposed.First,based on the convergence-confinement method,a three-dimensional analytical model was constructed by combining an analytical solution of a non-circular tunnel with the Tecplot software.Then,according to the integral failure criteria of rock,the failure tendency coefficients of hard surrounding rock were computed and the spatial distribution plots of that were constructed.On this basis,the tunnel’s key failure positions were identified,and the relationship between the failure tendency coefficient at key failure positions and their distances from the working face was established.Finally,the distance from the working face that corresponds to the critical failure tendency coefficient was taken as the optimal support distance.A practical project was used as an example,and a reasonable initial support distance was successfully determined by applying the developed method.Moreover,it is found that the stability of hard surrounding rock decreases rapidly within the range of 1.0D(D is the tunnel diameter)from the working face,and tends to be stable outside the range of 1.0D. 展开更多
