In this study,a straightforward one-step hydrothermal method was successfully utilized to synthesize the solid solution Na_(0.9)Mg_(0.45)Ti_(3.55)O_(8)-Na_(2)Ni_(2)Ti_(6)O_(16)(NNMTO-x),where x denotes the molar percentage of Na_(2)Ni_(2)Ti_(6)O_(16)(NNTO)within Na_(0.9)Mg_(0.45)Ti_(3.55)O_(8)(NMTO),with x values of 10,20,30,40,and 50.Both XPS(X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy)and EDX(Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy)analyses unequivocally validated the formation of the NNMTO-x solid solutions.It was observed that when x is below 40,the NNMTO-x solid solution retains the structural characteristics of the original NMTO.However,beyond this threshold,significant alterations in crystal morphology were noted,accompanied by a noticeable decline in photocatalytic activity.Notably,the absorption edge of NNMTO-x(x<40)exhibited a shift towards the visible-light spectrum,thereby substantially broadening the absorption range.The findings highlight that NNMTO-30 possesses the most pronounced photocatalytic activity for the reduction of CO_(2).Specifically,after a 6 h irradiation period,the production rates of CO and CH_(4)were recorded at 42.38 and 1.47μmol/g,respectively.This investigation provides pivotal insights that are instrumental in the advancement of highly efficient and stable photocatalysts tailored for CO_(2)reduction processes. 展开更多

Herein,antibacterial silver‑doped fluorescent carbon dots(Ag‑CDs)were synthesized through a stepwise hydrothermal method,with polyethyleneimine(PEI),citric acid(CA),and silver nitrate(AgNO3)serving as precursors.The applicability and antimicrobial efficacy of these nanomaterials were systematically investigated for metal ion sensing.Experimental evidence demonstrated that the Ag‑CDs exhibited a pronounced fluorescence quenching response toward ferric ions(Fe^(3+)),enabling their quantitative determination via a linear concentration‑dependent relationship.These Ag‑CDs exhibited significant inhibitory effects on biofilm growth and disruption for both Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.Mechanism investigations indicate that Ag‑CDs induced the death of Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa by disrupting their bacterial morphology and structure,triggering the generation of intracellular reactive oxygen species(ROS),and impairing their antioxidant defense system. 展开更多

Genomic destabilization and defective DNA repair are the most prominent features of tumour cells and are exploited by various chemotherapy drugs for cancer therapy.Long non-coding RNA(lncR-NAs)have emerged as powerful regulators of gene expression and are thus involved in diverse biological processes.Recent studies have demonstrated that several lncRNAs play critical roles in DNA repair.Nonetheless,the relationship between DNA damage-responsive lncRNAs and chemoresistance remains poorly defined.In this study,we established four different DNA damage models triggered by cisplatin(DDP),H2O2,neocarzinostatin(NCS)or ultraviolet(UV)irradiation and identified a specific upregu-lated lncRNA(lnc-DUSP6)involved in the cisplatin-induced DNA damage response.Furthermore,loss-or gain-of-function experiments confirmed that lnc-DUSP6 enhanced DNA repair and cell survival under cisplatin treatment,thus promoting cisplatin resistance.Mechanistically,an RNA immunoprecipitation(RIP)assay revealed that lnc-DUSP6 directly interacts with DUSP6(Dual Specificity Phosphatase 6),which is closely associated with cisplatin sensitivity.Additionally,overexpression of DUSP6 significantly rescued the effects of lnc-DUSP6 silencing on DNA repair and cell survival under cisplatin treatment.O-verall,our results show the effect and underlying mechanism of lnc-DUSP6 in cisplatin resistance:lnc-DUSP6 promotes cisplatin-induced DNA damage repair and cisplatin resistance by stabilizing DUSP6,which is highly clinically important for enhancing the efficacy of cisplatin for cancers. 展开更多

Dynamic response of RC columns under off-central explosions:Experimental,theoretical studies and neural network prediction

Reinforced concrete(RC)columns are often subjected to off-central explosion due to the uncertainty of blast locations.However,few studies have focused on the dynamic response of RC columns under offcentral explosions.A field blast experiment was conducted under close-in explosion with varying detonation offset distances(0 m,0.5 m,and 1 m),the overpressure load and dynamic responses of the full-scale RC columns were measured.Compared with the centrally detonated condition,a relative offset distance of 1.67 decreases the maximum and residual deflections of the RC column by 16.8%and 21.4%,respectively,while increasing the maximum and residual support rotations by 24.7%and 17.8%.Based on the experimental results,a theoretical model was proposed that considers the detonation location and charge mass,boundary conditions,axial compression ratio and material properties.The theoretical model exhibited good agreement with the experimental results,with prediction errors below 10%for both maximum and residual deflection.The effects of parameters were analyzed,and it indicated that an increase in offset distance results in decreased maximum and residual deflections but an increased support angle,thereby exacerbating damage.Higher axial load ratio,span-depth ratio,and longitudinal reinforcement ratio reduce both deflections and support angle.Additionally,a rapid method to predict the maximum and residual deflection of RC columns under off-central blast loading was also proposed based on the Generalized Regression Neural Network(GRNN).Eleven features which related to the RC column properties and the blast characteristics were used in the training process of GRNN,and accurate predictions were achieved with prediction errors within 20%.This study fills the gap in predicting the dynamic response of RC columns under off-central explosion,providing valuable references for blast-resistant design. 展开更多

Conglomerate rock's complex and heterogeneous microstructure significantly affects its mechanical properties,especially under dynamic loading.However,research on their dynamic behavior and fracture mechanisms is limited.Through uniaxial compression tests and split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB)impact tests,the dynamic compressive mechanical properties and fracture mechanisms of conglomerate rock were studied.Nanoindentation and high-resolution X-ray computed tomography were employed to analyze the micro-mechanical behavior and internal structure of the conglomerate rock.Results indicate significant differences in mechanical properties between different gravel particles and cementing materials,with initial fractures primarily distributed at the gravel-cement interfaces.The dynamic mechanical properties of conglomerate rocks exhibit a clear strain rate dependency.Based on the stress−strain curves and failure characteristics,the dynamic compressive mechanical behavior can be categorized into two types using a critical strain rate.The dynamic compressive strength,peak strain,and toughness of conglomerate rock increased with the strain rate,with the strength at 54 s−1 being 2.6 times that at 6 s−1.The dynamic compressive fracture mechanism of conglomerate rock is related to the strain rate and microstructure;at low strain rates,gravel distribution is the key factor,whereas at high strain rates,gravel content becomes critical. 展开更多

This study aims to establish an integrated sensitivity analysis framework for optimization and design of the dynamic performance of mechanical systems such as tracked vehicles,by combining the direct differentiation method(DDM)with the linear multibody system transfer matrix method(linear MSTMM).The rigid-flexible coupled multibody system dynamics model of a tracked vehicle is established using the linear MSTMM and validated through the modal test.Building upon the existing DDM-based eigenvalue sensitivity analysis method within the linear MSTMM,the DDM is embedded into it to enable programmable and efficient computation of dynamic response sensitivities for mechanical systems.The proposed approach is used to quantitatively evaluate the sensitivities of both natural vibration characteristics(e.g.,natural frequencies and mode shapes)and transient dynamic responses of the tracked vehicle with respect to system parameters,successfully identifying critical structural parameters.Compared to conventional finite difference methods,the developed methodology eliminates sensitivity to perturbation step sizes.The contributions of this work lie in establishing a unified theoretical foundation and analysis framework for guiding dynamics optimization and design of mechanical systems,and extending the applicability of the linear MSTMM to sensitivity analysis of transient dynamic responses. 展开更多

Resource management must attach importance to effective resource deployment.Aiming at the research of resource deployment system,firstly,as an important factor of resource deployment system,corporate technological innovation social responsibility(CISR)is analyzed.Based on this,this paper constructs a system dynamics model to analyze the changes in resource deployment system affected by CISR.The simulation model is developed using Venism personal learning edition(PLE).The results show that CISR,acted as a new factor affecting the resource deployment system,has a positive effect on resource deployment system performance.Moreover,when CISR exceeds the threshold value,the resource deployment system performance increases significantly faster,reflecting that the resource deployment system becomes more efficient.The results show that the method proposed in this paper is feasible and efficient.This research provides theoretical and practical implications for resource deployment system research. 展开更多

The afterburning of TNT and structural constraints in confined spaces significantly amplify the blast load,leading to severe structural damage. This study investigates the mechanisms underlying the enhanced dynamic response of reinforced concrete blast doors with four-sided restraints in confined space. Explosion tests with TNT charges ranging from 0.15 kg to 0.4 kg were conducted in a confined space,capturing overpressure loads and the dynamic response of the blast door. An internal explosion model incorporating the afterburning effect was developed using LS-DYNA software and validated against experimental data. The results reveal that the TNT afterburning effect amplifies both the initial peak overpressure and the quasi-static overpressure, resulting in increased deformation of the blast door.Within the 0.15-0.4 kg charge range, the initial overpressure peak and quasi-static overpressure increased by an average of 1.79 times and 2.21 times, respectively. Additionally, the afterburning effect enhanced the blast door's deflection by 177%. Compared to open-space scenarios, the cumulative deflection of the blast door due to repeated shock wave impacts is significantly greater in confined spaces. Furthermore, the quasi-static pressure arising from the structural constraints sustains the blast door's deflection at a high level. 展开更多

With the change of the main influencing factors such as structural configuration and impact conditions,reinforced concrete slabs exhibit different mechanical behaviors with different failure patterns,and the failure modes are transformed.In order to reveal the failure mode and transformation rule of reinforced concrete slabs under impact loads,a dynamic impact response test was carried out using a drop hammer test device.The dynamic data pertaining to the impact force,support reaction force,structural displacement,and reinforcement strain were obtained through the use of digital image correlation technology(DIC),impact force measurement,and strain measurement.The analysis of the ultimate damage state of the reinforced concrete slab identified four distinct types of impact failure modes:local failure by stamping,overall failure by stamping,local-overall coupling failure,and local failure by punching.Additionally,the influence laws of hammerhead shape,hammer height,and reinforcement ratio on the dynamic response and failure mode transformation of the slab were revealed.The results indicate that:(1)The local damage to the slab by the plane hammer is readily apparent,while the overall damage by the spherical hammer is more pronounced.(2)In comparison to the high reinforcement ratio slabs,the overall bending resistance of the low reinforcement ratio slabs is significantly inferior,and the slab back exhibits further cracks.(3)As the hammer height increases,the slab failure mode undergoes a transformation,shifting from local failure by stamping and overall failure by stamping to local-overall coupling failure and local failure by punching.(4)Three failure mode thresholds have been established,and by comparing the peak impact force with the failure thresholds,the failure mode of the slab can be effectively determined. 展开更多

The graded density impactor(GDI)dynamic loading technique is crucial for acquiring the dynamic physical property parameters of materials used in weapons.The accuracy and timeliness of GDI structural design are key to achieving controllable stress-strain rate loading.In this study,we have,for the first time,combined one-dimensional fluid computational software with machine learning methods.We first elucidated the mechanisms by which GDI structures control stress and strain rates.Subsequently,we constructed a machine learning model to create a structure-property response surface.The results show that altering the loading velocity and interlayer thickness has a pronounced regulatory effect on stress and strain rates.In contrast,the impedance distribution index and target thickness have less significant effects on stress regulation,although there is a matching relationship between target thickness and interlayer thickness.Compared with traditional design methods,the machine learning approach offers a10^(4)—10^(5)times increase in efficiency and the potential to achieve a global optimum,holding promise for guiding the design of GDI. 展开更多

Using solid waste as a substitute for conventional cement has become an important way to reduce carbon emissions.This paper attempted to utilize steel slag(SS)and fly ash(FA)as supplementary cementitious material by utilizing CO_(2)mineralization curing technology.This study examined the dominant and interactive influences of the residual water/cement ratio,CO_(2)pressure,curing time,and SS content on the mechanical properties and CO_(2)uptake rate of CO_(2)mineralization curing SS-FA-Portland cement ternary paste specimens.Additionally,microstructural development was analyzed.The findings demonstrated that each factor significantly affected compressive strength and CO_(2)uptake rate,with factor interactions becoming more pronounced at higher SS dosages(>30%),lower residual water/cement ratios(0.1-0.15),and CO_(2)pressures of 0.1-0.3 MPa.Microscopic examinations revealed that mineralization primarily yielded CaCO_(3)and silica gel.The residual w/c ratio and SS content significantly influenced the CaCO_(3)content and crystallinity of the mineralization products.Post-mineralization curing,the percentage of pores larger than 50 nm significantly decreased,the proportion of harmless pores smaller than 20 nm increased,and pore structure improved.This study also found that using CO_(2)mineralization curing SS-FA-Portland cement solid waste concrete can significantly reduce the negative impact on the environment. 展开更多

Objective:Neoadjuvant immunotherapy has demonstrated favorable efficacy in patients with resectable non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).However,its clinical application remains limited by the lack of reliable and non-invasive biomarkers.Although existing histological biomarkers such as programmed death-ligand 1(PD-L1)and tumor mutation burden(TMB)can be used for reference,they rely on invasive sampling and are susceptible to tumor heterogeneity.This study evaluated a series of peripheral blood inflammation-related indicators,including neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR),lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio(LMR),platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio(PLR),systemic immune-inflammation index(SII),and interleukin-6(IL-6),to explore their potential as non-invasive predictive and prognostic biomarkers for NSCLC.Furthermore,a prediction model based on the above indicators was constructed to provide a practical and feasible tool for optimizing individualized clinical management in patients with resectable NSCLC.Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on 144 patients with resectable(stageⅠB-ⅢB)NSCLC who underwent surgery after receiving neoadjuvant immunotherapy combined with chemotherapy at the Second Xiangya Hospital,Central South University,between 2019 and 2022.Peripheral blood-related indicators at baseline and before surgery were collected.Clinical data that might influence treatment efficacy were also recorded,including age,sex,body mass index,smoking history,pathological type,clinical stage,and use of immune checkpoint inhibitors.The relationships between peripheral blood inflammatory indicators(NLR,LMR,PLR,SII,and IL-6)and objective response rate(ORR),pathological complete response(pCR),major pathological response(MPR),and disease-free survival(DFS)were analyzed.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves were used to determine optimal cutoff values for each indicator.A prediction model for the efficacy of neoadjuvant immunotherapy in NSCLC was constructed using least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO)regression combined with a multivariate Cox proportional hazards model.Results:The median age of included patients was 58 years,and 91.0%(131/144)were male.Among pathological types,squamous cell carcinoma accounted for 74.3%(107/144),adenocarcinoma for 22.9%(33/144),and other types for 4 cases.The overall ORR,pCR,and MPR rates were 69.2%,42.4%,and 61.5%,respectively.Univariate analysis showed that patients with squamous cell carcinoma had significantly higher ORR(P=0.007),pCR(P=0.027),and MPR(P=0.019).Lower baseline LMR was associated with a higher ORR.Elevated baseline PLR was significantly associated with pCR(P=0.014)and MPR(P=0.043).Increased baseline SII(P=0.015)and IL-6(P=0.043)were associated with higher MPR rates.Multivariate analysis showed that squamous cell carcinoma was an independent predictor of MPR(OR=7.34,95%CI 1.02 to 52.51,P=0.047),and lower baseline LMR was an independent predictor of ORR in NSCLC(OR=0.21,95%CI 0.05 to 0.92,cutoff value 3.12;P=0.04).Further survival analysis indicated that low baseline NLR(HR=0.363,P=0.014),low preoperative LMR(HR=0.260,P=0.018),and high preoperative SII(HR=0.278,P=0.003)significantly reduced the risk of DFS.A prediction model including 9 factors(age,pathological type,baseline NLR,baseline neutrophils,baseline IL-6,baseline monocytes,preoperative lymphocytes,preoperative SII,and preoperative LMR)was established for predicting the efficacy of neoadjuvant immunotherapy in NSCLC,with an AUC of 0.818.Conclusion:Neoadjuvant immunotherapy demonstrates favorable clinical efficacy in patients with NSCLC,particularly in those with squamous cell carcinoma.Meanwhile,peripheral blood inflammation-related indicators may serve as important biomarkers for predicting the efficacy and prognosis of neoadjuvant immunotherapy in NSCLC. 展开更多

The association between daily temperature extremes and human biomarkers:heterogeneous effects of occupation and season

The impact of extreme temperatures on the health of individuals in different organizations remains uncertain.We employed stratified analyses to examine the impacts of summer(April-September)daily maximum temperatures and winter(October-March)daily minimum temperatures on blood pressure and lipid profiles across government staff,com-pany employees,and researchers.We examined 209,477 physical examination records from a physical examination center in the First Affiliated Hospital of USTC from 2017 to 2021.Employing a segmented regression model within the frame-work of generalized linear regression(GLM),we examined the causal impact of extreme temperatures on health outcomes.Additionally,sensitivity analyses were conducted via distributed lag nonlinear models(DLNMs),with a focus on ob-serving the long-term effects over a period of 21 days.Our findings indicate that government staff face increased health risks during extremely low temperatures,regardless of the season.Compared with participants experiencing median tem-peratures,government staff exposed to extremely low temperatures(below the 10th percentile,below 24℃)in the sum-mer presented maximum increases of 2.32 mmHg(95%CI:1.542-3.098)in diastolic blood pressure and 6.481 mmHg(95%CI:5.368-7.594)in systolic blood pressure.In winter,government staff exposed to temperatures below the 10th per-centile(below 1℃)demonstrated maximum increases of 0.278 mmol/L(95%CI:0.210-0.346)in total cholesterol,0.153 mmol/L(95%CI:0.032-0.274)in triglycerides,and 0.077 mmol/L(95%CI:0.192-0.134)in low-density lipoprotein.Conversely,warm winters benefit company employees,whereas researchers exhibit lower sensitivity to temperature changes in winter.The maximum temperatures in summer and minimum temperatures in winter had greater impacts on in-dividuals.Small temperature fluctuations impact health more than large changes do.Notably,both the maximum and min-imum temperatures were better predictors of health outcomes than the daily average temperature was.Blood pressure con-sistently displayed significant associations with temperature across all three groups,with extremely low temperatures in-creasing the risk and extremely high temperatures reducing it.However,the relationship between temperature and blood lipids is complex. 展开更多

The abnormal metabolic activity of the tumor can increase the oxygen consumption in tumor cells,and the poor blood perfusion often happens in tumor regions as well,which are the main reasons that result in a hypoxic situation in the tumor.A fluorescence probe,AQD,with selective response toward hypoxia was designed for the detection of hypoxic tumor cells,which was obtained by the covalent connection of a large planar conjugated fluorophore with good fluorescence stability and a N,N-dimethylaniline moiety via the azo bond.The introduction of the azo bond in AQD caused significant fluorescence emission quenching,and the probe was reduced under hypoxic conditions to release the fluorophore via breaking the azo bond,resulting in the gradual recovery of fluorescence emission.Probe AQD exhibited a remarkable fluorescence response in hypoxic conditions,high selectivity,and good biocompatibility,which was successfully used for the imaging of hypoxic tumor cells and realized the detection of hypoxic A549 cells. 展开更多

Relative humidity(RH)plays a pivotal role in regulating plant transpiration by modulating stomatal conductance().Accurate modeling under varying RH conditions is essential for predicting plant water use and gas exchange,with important implications for both agricultural management and bionic applications.In this study,field experiments were conducted to measure in plants exposed to moderate-and high-RH environments.The results demonstrated that is greater and transpiration rates are lower in high-RH environments than in moderate-RH environments.The response functions of stomatal conductance to environmental factors were further developed via a boundary line technique.These functions elucidate how stomatal conductance is correlated with environmental conditions.Specifically,stomatal conductance reaches saturation at a photosynthetically active radiation(PAR)of approximately 300 and 500μmol·m^(−2)·s^(−1) in both high-and moderate-RH environments.Furthermore,the vapor pressure deficit(VPD)threshold triggering stomatal closure was shifted by ambient RH,occurring at approximately 1000 Pa under high RH and 2000 Pa under moderate RH.This RH-dependent adjustment highlights the indirect yet critical role of RH in modulating stomatal sensitivity to atmospheric dryness.On the basis of the established response functions,stomatal conductance models tailored for high-and moderate-RH environments were constructed by extending the Jarvis empirical framework.These models offer improved predictive capacity for simulating plant physiological responses under diverse humidity conditions and provide new insights into the stomatal regulation of plants in natural field settings. 展开更多

The work takes a new liquid-cooling plate in a power battery with pin fins inside the channel as the object.A mathematical model is established via the central composite design of the response surface to study the relationships among the length,width,height,and spacing of pin fins;the maximum temperature and temperature difference of the battery module;and the pressure drop of the liquid-cooling plate.Model accuracy is verified via variance analysis.The new liquid-cooling plate enables the power battery to work within an optimal temperature range.Appropriately increasing the length,width,and height and reducing the spacing of pin fins could reduce the temperature of the power battery module and improve the temperature uniformity.However,the pressure drop of the liquid-cooling plate increases.The structural parameters of the pin fins are optimized to minimize the maximum temperature and the temperature difference of the battery module as well as the pressure drop of the liquid-cooling plate.The errors between the values predicted and actual by the simulation test are 0.58%,4%,and 0.48%,respectively,which further verifies the model accuracy.The results reveal the influence of the structural parameters of the pin fins inside the liquid-cooling plate on its heat dissipation performance and pressure drop characteristics.A theoretical basis is provided for the design of liquid-cooling plates in power batteries and the optimization of structural parameters. 展开更多
