A sliding mode and active disturbance rejection control(SM-ADRC)was employed to regulate the speed of a permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM).The major advantages of the proposed control scheme are that it can maintain the original features of ADRC and make the parameters of ADRC transition smoothly.The proposed control scheme also ensures speed control accuracy and improves the robustness and anti-load disturbance ability of the system.Moreover,through the analysis of a d-axis current output equation,a novel current-loop SM-ADRC is presented to improve the system’s dynamic performance and inner ability of anti-load disturbance.Results of a simulation and experiments show that the improved sliding-mode ADRC system has the advantages of fast response,small overshoot,small steady-state error,wide speed range and high control accuracy.It shows that the system has strong anti-interference ability to reduce the influence of variations in rotational inertia,load and internal parameters. 展开更多

In order to meet the precision requirements and tracking performance of the continuous rotary motor electro-hydraulic servo system under unknown strong non-linear and uncertain strong disturbance factors,such as dynamic uncertainty and parameter perturbation,an improved active disturbance rejection control(ADRC)strategy was proposed.The state space model of the fifth order closed-loop system was established based on the principle of valve-controlled hydraulic motor.Then the three parts of ADRC were improved by parameter perturbation and external disturbance;the fast tracking differentiator was introduced into linear and non-linear combinations;the nonlinear state error feedback was proposed using synovial control;the extended state observer was determined by nonlinear compensation.In addition,the grey wolf algorithm was used to set the parameters of the three parts.The simulation and experimental results show that the improved ADRC can realize the system frequency 12 Hz when the tracking accuracy and response speed meet the requirements of double ten indexes,which lay foundation for the motor application. 展开更多

Focusing on the three-dimensional guidance problem in case of target maneuvers and response delay of the autopilot, the missile guidance law utilizing active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) is proposed. Based on the nonlinear three-dimensional missile target engagement kinematics, the guidance model is es- tablished, The target acceleration is treated as a disturbance and the dynamics of the autopilot is considered by using a first-order model. A nonlinear continuous robust guidance law is designed by using a cascaded structure ADRC controller. In this method the disturbance is estimated by using the extended state observer (ESO) and compensated during each sampling period. Simulation results show that the proposed cascaded loop structure is a viable solution to the guidance law design and has strong robustness with respect to target maneuvers and response delay of the autopilot. 展开更多

In the background of signal detection for high frequency (I/F) radar, the sea clutter is quite significant and can mask some weak target signals. A new clutter rejection method named “nonlinear projection” is given to improve the SNR of the target. This approach is based on the recent observation that HF sea clutter may be modeled as a nonlinear deterministic dynamical system. After approximating the multidimensional reconstruction of the clutter by a low-dimensional attractor, projections onto this attractor can separate the clutter from other components. Real sea clutter, simulated target data and real target data are used to show that a nonlinear clutter rejection method is a promising technique to suppress sea clutter and enhances target detection. 展开更多

The active anti-interference concept is introduced into the internal model control(IMC) by analyzing the relationship between IMC and disturbance observer control(DOB). Further, a design process of disturbance filter is presented to realize the active anti-interference ability for ADRIMC scheme. The disturbance filter is used to estimate an equivalent disturbance consisting of both external disturbances and internal disturbances caused by model mismatches.Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method possesses a good disturbance rejection performance, though losing some partial dynamic performance. In other words, the proposed method shows a tradeoff between the dynamic performance and the system robust. 展开更多

Permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM)speed control systems with conventional linear active disturbance rejection control(CLADRC)strategy encounter issues regarding the coupling between dynamic response and disturbance suppression and have poor performance in suppressing complex nonlinear disturbances.In order to address these issues,this paper proposes an improved two-degree-of-freedom LADRC(TDOF-LADRC)strategy,which can enhance the disturbance rejection performance of the system while decoupling entirely the system's dynamic and anti-disturbance performance to boost the system robustness and simplify controller parameter tuning.PMSM models that consider total disturbances are developed to design the TDOF-LADRC speed controller accurately.Moreover,to evaluate the control performance of the TDOF-LADRC strategy,its stability is proven,and the influence of each controller parameter on the system control performance is analyzed.Based on it,a comparison is made between the disturbance observation ability and anti-disturbance performance of TDOF-LADRC and CLADRC to prove the superiority of TDOF-LADRC in rejecting disturbances.Finally,experiments are performed on a 750 W PMSM experimental platform,and the results demonstrate that the proposed TDOF-LADRC exhibits the properties of two degrees of freedom and improves the disturbance rejection performance of the PMSM system. 展开更多

Multiple maneuvedng targets signal processing in high frequency radar is challenging due to the following difficulties: the interference between signals is severe because of significant spread of the target Doppler spectrum, the low signal to clutter ratio (SCR) environment degrades the performance of signal process- ing algorithms. This paper addresses this challenging problem by using an S2-method and an adaptive clutter rejection scheme. The proposed S2-method improves the S-method by eliminating inter- ference between signals, and thus it enables multi-target signals to be reconstructed individually. The proposed adaptive clutter rejec- tion scheme is based on an adaptive notch filter, which is designed according to the envelop of the clutter spectrum. Experiments with simulated targets added into radar sea clutter echo and real air target data illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

In the Raymond mill grinding processes,high-accuracy control for the current of Raymond mill is vital to enhance the product quality and production efficiency as well as cut down the consumption of spare parts.However,strong external disturbances,such as variations of ore hardness and ore size,always exist.It is not easy to make the current of Raymond mill constant due to these strong disturbances.Several control strategies have been proposed to control the grinding processes.However,most of them(such as PID and MPC)reject disturbances merely through feedback regulation and do not deal with the disturbances directly,which may lead to poor control performance when strong disturbances occur.To improve disturbance rejection performance,a control scheme based on PI and disturbance observer is proposed in this work.The scheme combines a feedforward compensation part based on disturbance observer and a feedback regulation part using PI.The test results illustrate that the proposed method can obtain remarkable superiority in disturbance rejection compared with PI method in the Raymond mill grinding processes. 展开更多

In this paper,direct adaptive-state feedback control schemes are developed to solve the problem of asymptotic tracking and disturbance rejection for a class of distributed large-scale systems with faulty and perturbed interconnection links.In terms of the special distributed architectures,the adaptation laws are proposed to update controller parameters on-line when all interconnected fault factors,the upper bounds of perturbations in interconnection links,and external disturbances on subsystems axe unknown.Then,a class of distributed state feedback controllers is constructed to automatically compensate the fault and perturbation effects,and reject the disturbances simultaneously based on the information from adaptive schemes.The proposed adaptive robust tracking controllers can guarantee that the resulting adaptive closed-loop distributed system is stable and each subsystem can asymptotic-output track the corresponding reference signal in the presence of faults and perturbations in interconnection links,and external disturbances.The proposed design technique is finally evaluated in the light of a simulation example. 展开更多

The maneuverability and stealth of aerial-aquatic vehicles(AAVs)is of significant importance for future integrated air-sea combat missions.To improve the maneuverability and stealth of AAVs near the water surface,this paper proposed a high-maneuverability skipping motion strategy for the tandem twin-rotor AAV,inspired by the motion behavior of the flying fish to avoid aquatic and aerial predators near the water surface.The novel tandem twin-rotor AAV was employed as the research subject and a strategybased ADRC control method for validation,comparing it with a strategy-based PID control method.The results indicate that both control methods enable the designed AAV to achieve high stealth and maneuverability near the water surface with robust control stability.The strategy-based ADRC control method exhibits a certain advantage in controlling height,pitch angle,and reducing impact force.This motion strategy will offer an inspiring approach for the practical application of AAVs to some extent. 展开更多

This paper studies time-varying fault-tolerant formation tracking problems for the multiple cruise missile system under directed topologies subjected to actuator failures. Firstly, the timevarying fault-tolerant formation tracking process for the multiple cruise missile system is divided into the guidance loop and the control loop. Then protocols are constructed to accomplish distributed fault-tolerant formation tracking in the guidance loop with the adaptive updating mechanism, in the condition where neither the knowledge about actuator malfunctions nor any global information of the communication topology remains available. Moreover, sufficient conditions to accomplish formation tracking are presented, and it is shown that the multiple cruise missile system can carry on the predefined time-varying fault-tolerant control (FTC) formation tracking through the active disturbances rejection controller (ADRC) and the proportion integration (PI) controller by the way of the fault-tolerant protocol utilizing the designed strategies, in the event of actuator failures. Firstly, a six degree-of-freedom(DOF) nonlinear model with 12 variables is given. Due to low sufficiency of the aerodynamic actuators at high AOA, a thrust vector model with rotatable engine nozzles is derived. Secondly, the active disturbance rejection control(ADRC) is used to realize a three-channel decoupling control such that a strong coupling between different channels can be treated as total disturbance, which is estimated by the designed extended state observer. The control surface allocation is implemented by the traditional daisy chain method. This paper is concerned with the control design and the theoretical analysis for a class of input time-delay systems with stable, critical stable or unstable poles. In order to overcome the time delay, a novel feed-forward compensation active disturbance rejection control(FFC-ADRC) approach is proposed. It combines advantages of the Smith predictor and the traditional active disturbance rejection control(ADRC). The tracking differentiator(TD) is designed to predict the control signal, which adds an anticipatory control to the control signal and allows a higher observer bandwidth to obtain better disturbance rejection. The modified extended state observer(ESO) is designed to estimate both system states and the total disturbances(internal disturbance, uncertainties and delayed disturbance). Then the Lyapunov theory and the theory of the input-output stability are applied to prove the asymptotic stability of the closed-loop control system. The motivation of this work is to obtain single PI/PID tuning formula for different types of processes with enhanced disturbance rejection performance. The proposed tuning formula consistently gives better performance in comparison to several well-known methods at the same degree of robustness for stable, integrating and unstable processes. For the selection of the closed-loop time constant(τc), a guideline is provided over a broad range of time-delay/time-constant ratios on the basis of the peak of maximum sensitivity(Ms). An analysis has been performed for the uncertainty margin with the different process parameters for the robust controller design. It gives the guideline of the Ms-value settings for the PI controller designs based on the process parameters uncertainty. Furthermore, a relationship has been developed between Ms-value and uncertainty margin with the different process parameters(k, τ and θ). Simulation study has been conducted for the broad class of processes and the controllers are tuned to have the same degree of robustness by measuring the maximum sensitivity, Ms, in order to obtain a reasonable comparison. 展开更多
