RT-Notification: A Novel Real-Time Notification Protocol for Wireless Control in Fog Computing

Fog computing is an emerging paradigm that has broad applications including storage, measurement and control. In this paper, we propose a novel real-time notification protocol called RT-Notification for wireless control in fog computing. RT-Notification provides low-latency TDMA communication between an access point in Fog and a large number of portable monitoring devices equipped with sensor and actuator. RT-Notification differentiates two types of controls: urgent downlink actuator-oriented control and normal uplink access & scheduling control. Different from existing protocols, RT-Notification has two salient features:(i) support real-time notification of control frames, while not interrupting ongoing other transmissions, and(ii) support on-demand channel allocation for normal uplink access & scheduling control. RT-Notification can be implemented based on the commercial off-the-shelf 802.11 hardware. Our extensive simulations verify that RT-Notification is very effective in supporting the above two features. 展开更多

This paper employs a first-principles total-energy method to investigate the theoretical tensile strengths of bcc and fcc Fe systemically. It indicates that the theoretical tensile strengths are shown to be 12.4, 32.7, 27.5 GPa for bcc Fe, and 48.1, 34.6, 51.2 GPa for fcc Fe in the [001], [110] and [111] directions, respectively. For bcc Fe, the [001] direction is shown to be the weakest direction due to the occurrence of a phase transition from ferromagnetic bcc Fe to high spin ferromagnetic fcc Fe. For fcc Fe, the [110] direction is the weakest direction due to the formation of an instable saddle-point 'bct structure' in the tensile process. Furthermore, it demonstrates that a magnetic instability will occur under a tensile strain of 14%, characterized by the transition of ferromagnetic bcc Fe to paramagnetic fcc Fe. The results provide a good reference to understand the intrinsic mechanical properties of Fe as a potential structural material in the nuclear fusion Tokamak. 展开更多

The multi-resolution adaptive grids method is proposed to solve the problems of inefficiency in the previous grid-based methods,and it can be used in clouds simulation as well as the interactive simulation between objects and clouds.Oriented bounding box(OBB)hierarchical trees of objects are established,and the resolutions of global and local grids can be selected automatically.The motion equations of fluid dynamics are simplified.Upwind difference is applied to ensure the stability of the simulation process during the discrete process of partial differential equations.To solve the speed problem of existed phase functions,the improved phase function is applied to the illumination calculation of clouds.Experimental results show that the proposed methods can promote the simulation efficiency and meet the need for the simulation of large-scale clouds scene.Real-time rendering of clouds and the interaction between clouds and objects have been realized without preprocessing stage. 展开更多

本文采用计算量子化学方法在B3LYP/6-311+g(d,p)水平上比较了气态二嗪三种异构体的碱性强度和稳定性。计算结果表明,三种异构体的碱性强度顺序为哒嗪>嘧啶>吡嗪。同时,通过优化结构单点能的计算,判断三种异构体的稳定性顺序为嘧啶... 本文采用计算量子化学方法在B3LYP/6-311+g(d,p)水平上比较了气态二嗪三种异构体的碱性强度和稳定性。计算结果表明,三种异构体的碱性强度顺序为哒嗪>嘧啶>吡嗪。同时,通过优化结构单点能的计算,判断三种异构体的稳定性顺序为嘧啶>吡嗪>哒嗪,且其共轭酸的稳定性顺序亦呈现相似趋势,即嘧啶-H>吡嗪-H>哒嗪-H。此外,本文采用前线轨道理论定性解释了哒嗪明显异于嘧啶和吡嗪的特殊热力学性质(燃烧热和标准生成焓)。将计算化学引入到有机物酸碱性和稳定性的教学中,有助于学生深入理解Lewis酸碱性、等键反应、最高已占据分子轨道(HOMO),最低未占据分子轨道(LUMO)、前线轨道能隙值等核心概念和杂化轨道理论,教学效果显著提高,成为提升有机化学教学质量的有效辅助工具。 展开更多

含砂天然气套筒式节流阀内部两相流动特性分析

为了提高节流阀在高含硫工况下的节流性能,以某套筒式节流阀为研究对象,采用欧拉-欧拉双流体模型,结合颗粒动力学理论和标准k-ε湍流模型,对阀门内部气固两相流场进行三维数值模拟研究,对比分析不同阀门开度、节流孔结构和尺寸、入口颗... 为了提高节流阀在高含硫工况下的节流性能,以某套筒式节流阀为研究对象,采用欧拉-欧拉双流体模型,结合颗粒动力学理论和标准k-ε湍流模型,对阀门内部气固两相流场进行三维数值模拟研究,对比分析不同阀门开度、节流孔结构和尺寸、入口颗粒固含率下的速度场分布、湍流黏性场分布、流量特性与流阻特性等,并与试验结果进行对比.结果表明:阀门开度的增大可有效降低节流孔内部流速,缓解砂粒对节流孔内壁的冲蚀磨损,进而有利于阀门内部流体的流通;正三角形节流孔处存在明显的流速和压力梯度突变,且位于节流孔出口下游的对冲射流核心区域长度较长,导致严重冲蚀区域呈现出靠近节流阀出口侧的特征;砂粒冲击频次随着入口颗粒固含率的增加而增强,且节流孔入口区域存在的涡旋流动强度略有减弱,从而对节流阀整体的流通性能和冲蚀磨损程度产生影响. 展开更多

A new method in diffraction-enhanced imaging computed tomography (DEI-CT) that follows the idea developed by Chapman et al. [Chapman D, Thomlinson W, Johnston R E, Washburn D, Pisano E, Gmur N, Zhong Z, Menk R, Arfelli F and Sayers D 1997 Phys. Med. BioL 42 2015] in 1997 is proposed in this paper. Merged with a "reverse projections" algorithm, only two sets of projection datasets at two defined orientations of the analyzer crystal are needed to reconstruct the linear absorption coefficient, the decrement of the real part of the refractive index and the linear scattering coefficient of the sample. Not only does this method reduce the delivered dose to the sample without degrading the image quality, but, compared with the existing DEI-CT approaches, it simplifies data-acquisition procedures. Experimental results confirm the reliability of this new method for DEI-CT applications. 展开更多

X-ray grating interferometer has attracted widely attention in the past years due to its capability in achieving x-ray phase contrast imaging with low brilliance source. However, the widely used phase stepping information extraction method reduces system stability and prolongs data acquisition time by several times compared with conventional x-ray absorption- based imaging. The mechanical stepping can be avoided by using a staggered grating, but at the cost of low vertical spatial resolution. In this paper, employing a modified staggered grating and the angular signal radiography, we proposed a single-shot grating-based x-ray differential phase contrast imaging with decent vertical spatial resolution. The theoretical framework was deduced and proved by numerical experiments. Absorption, phase, and scattering computed tomography can be performed without phase stepping. Therefore, we believe this fast and highly stable imaging method with decent resolution would be widely applied in x-ray grating-based phase contrast imaging. 展开更多

Based on the hierarchical equations of motion(HEOM)calculation,we theoretically investigate the corresponding control of a triangular triple-quantum-dots(TTQD)ring which is connected to two reservoirs.We initially demonstrate by adding bias voltage and further adjusting the coupling strength between quantum dots,the chiral current induced by bias will go through a transformation of clockwise to counterclockwise direction and an unprecedented effective Hall angle will be triggered.The transformation is very rapid,with a corresponding characteristic time of 80-200 ps.In addition,by adding a magnetic flux to compensate for the chiral current in the original system,we elucidate the relationship between the applied magnetic flux and the Berry phase,which can realize direct measurement of the chiral current and reveal the magnetoelectric coupling relationship. 展开更多

A phase-only computer-generated holography(CGH) calculation method for stereoscopic holography is proposed in this paper.The two-dimensional(2D) perspective projection views of the three-dimensional(3D) object are generated by the computer graphics rendering techniques.Based on these views,a phase-only hologram is calculated by using the Gerchberg–Saxton(GS) iterative algorithm.Comparing with the non-iterative algorithm in the conventional stereoscopic holography,the proposed method improves the holographic image quality,especially for the phase-only hologram encoded from the complex distribution.Both simulation and optical experiment results demonstrate that our proposed method can give higher quality reconstruction comparing with the traditional method. 展开更多

In the industrial process of producing the strong phosphoric acid(SPA),clarification of the solution is essential to the ultimate product.However,the large viscosity of sediment and the induced interface interaction result in difficulties when the SPA is clarified.CFD numerical methodology was applied to simulate internal flow field and performance of the low speed scraper based on Mixture solidliquid two-phase flow model.Sediment deposition was generated by loading solid particles at the bottom of clarifying vessel.The moving mesh and RNG k-εmodel were used to simulate the rotational turbulent flow in clarifying tank.Variables studied,amongst others,were the scraper rotation speed and the mounting height,which could affect the solid suspension height.Features of flow field and solid volume fraction distribution in computational domain were presented and analyzed.The numerical reports of the scraper torque and velocities of inlet and outlet filed were obtained.It seems the torque value of rotatio-nal axis and particle suspending height augment with an increasing rotating speed.Meanwhile,a high revolving speed is good for the deposition discharge.The particle fraction distribution in meridional surface and horizontal surface at fixed rotation speed were analyzed to determine the corresponding optimal installation height.The simulating results reflect the flow field is marginally stirred by the scraper and proper working parameters are obtained,in which case the comprehensive properties of the scraper and the clarifying tank are superior. 展开更多

Information islands are formed due to poor system interoperability. The development of innovative applications is limited, and the launching period of new businesses is long. Management costs and risks increase, and equipment utilization declines. To address these issues, a professional private cloud solution is introduced to integrate the electric power SCADA system, and conduct experimental study of its applicability, reliability, security, and real time.
