To implement CBC, an appropriate phase control feedback structure should be established to realize phase-locking. In this paper, an innovative internal active phase control CBC fiber laser array based on photodetector array is proposed. The dynamic phase noises of the laser amplifiers are compensated before being emitted into free space. And the static phase difference compensation of emitting laser array is realized by interference measurement based on photodetector array. The principle of the technique is illustrated and corresponding simulations are carried out, and a CBC system with four laser channels is built to verify the technique. When the phase controllers are turned on, the phase deviation of the laser array is less than λ/20, and ~ 95% fringe contrast of the irradiation distribution is obtained. The technique proposed in this paper could provide a reference for the system design of a massive high-power CBC system.展开更多

Several megawatts of power is transmitted through separate coaxial lines and coupled with the plasma through arrays of loop antennas. The parameters of the ICRH system, including the injected power and phasing between antenna straps, are critical to the coupling efficiency of the power as well as the resulting impact on the heating efficiency. In this paper, we present a system for feedback control of the phase between the current straps and the ICRH power on EAST. The feedback control system was tested using both a matched dummy load and a plasma load, and it successfully maintained stable operation in the 2016 EAST campaign. Good control of the injected power and wave phases was achieved during edgelocalized mode operation.展开更多

It shows that by adjusting the value of the relative phase, a change from lasing with inversion to lasing without inversion can be realized; the values and frequency spectrum regions of the inversionless gain and dispersion can be obviously varied; high refractive index with zero absorption and electromagnetically induced transparency can be achieved. It is also found that when the driving field is resonant, the shapes of the dispersion and the gain curves versus the probe detuning are very similar if the relative phase of the dispersion lags π/2 than that of the gain, however for the off-resonant driving field the similarity will disappear; the gain, dispersion and populations are periodical functions of the relative phase, the modulation period is always 2π; the contribution of SGC to the inversionless gain and dispersion is much larger than that of the dynamically induced coherence.展开更多

Due to the singular density of modes(DOM) in the isotropic PBG and the dynamically coherence induced by the coupling fields, modified reservoir-induced transparency and quantum interference-induced transparency emerge simultaneously. Their interaction leads to ultra-narrow spectral structure. As a result of closed-loop configuration, these features can be manipulated by the amplitudes and relative phase of the coherently driven fields. The position and width of PBG also have an influence on the spectra. The theoretical studies can provide us with more efficient methods to control the atomic absorption–dispersion properties, which have applications in optical switching and slow light.展开更多

First, a generalised synchronisation of two coupled map lattices is realised through selecting an appropriate feedback function and appropriate range of feedback parameter. Based on this method we use the phase compression method to extend the range of the parameter. So, we integrate the feedback control method with the phase compression method to implement the generalised synchronisation and obtain an exact range of feedback parameter. This technique is simple to implement in practice. Numerical simulations show the effectiveness and the feasibility of the proposed program.展开更多

Based on the interactions of the microwave fields with a single A-type three-level fluxonium qubit, the coherent population trapping could be obtainable and it is very sensitive to the relative phase and amplitudes of the applied fields. When the relative phase is tuned to 0 or π, the maximal atomic coherence is present and coherent population trapping occurs. While for the choice of π/2, the atomic coherence becomes weak. Meanwhile, for the fixed relative phase π/2, the value of coherence would decrease with the increase of Rabi frequency of the external field coupled with two lower levels. The responsible physical mechanism is quantum interference induced by the control fields, which is indicated in the dressed-state representation. The microwave coherent phenomenon is present in our scheme, which will have potential applications in optical communication and nonlinear optics in solid-state devices.展开更多

Phase resonances are observed in the optical response of transmission gratings, and the EM wave passes through the tuning slits in the form of surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) and obtains the required phase retardation to focus at the focal plane. The bending effect is achieved by constructing an asymmetric phase front which results from the tapered slits and gradient refractive index (GRIN) distribution of the dielectric material. Rigorous electromagnetic analysis by using the two-dimensional (2D) finite difference time domain (FDTD) method is employed to verify our proposed designs. When the EM waves are incident at an angle on the optical axis, the beam splitting effect can also be achieved. These index-modulated slits are demonstrated to have unique advantages in beam manipulation compared with the width-modulated ones. In combination with previous studies, it is expected that our results could lead to the realization of ootimum designs for plasmonic nanolenses.展开更多

The current pulses with different amplitudes could be accurately given by the independently designed current testing system. The relaxation oscillation across the PCM device could be measured using an oscilloscope. The oscillation duration decreases with time, showing an inner link with the shrinking threshold voltage Vth. However, the relaxation oscillation would not terminate until the remaining voltage Von reaches the holding voltage Vh. This demonstrates that the relaxation oscillation might be controlled by Von. The increasing current amplitudes could only quicken the oscillation velocity but not be able to eliminate it, which indicates that the relaxation oscillation might be an inherent behavior for the PCM cell.展开更多

We present a new digital phase lock technology to achieve the frequency control and transformation through high precision multi-cycle group synchronization between signals without the frequency transformation circuit....We present a new digital phase lock technology to achieve the frequency control and transformation through high precision multi-cycle group synchronization between signals without the frequency transformation circuit. In the case of digital sampling, the passing zero point of the phase of the controlled signal has the phase step characteristic, the phase step of the passing zero point is monotonic continuous with high resolution in the phase lock process, and using the border effect of digital fuzzy area, the gate can synchronize with the two signals, the quantization error is reduced. This technique is quite different from the existing methods of frequency transformation and frequency synthesis, the phase change characteristic between the periodic signals with different nominal is used. The phase change has the periodic phenomenon, and it has the high resolution step value. With the application of the physical law, the noise is reduced because of simplifying frequency transformation circuits, and the phase is locked with high precision. The regular phase change between frequency signals is only used for frequency measurement, and the change has evident randomness, but this randomness is greatly reduced in frequency control, and the certainty of the process result is clear. The experiment shows that the short term frequency stability can reach 10-12/s orders of magnitude.展开更多

文摘Phase change materials(PCMs)have attracted much attention in the field of solar thermal utilization recently, due to their outstanding thermal energy storage performance. However,PCMs usually release their stored latent heat spontaneously as the temperature below the phase transition temperature, rendering thermal energy storage and release uncontrollable, thus hindering their practical application in time and space.Herein,we developed erythritol/sodium carboxymethylcellulose/tetrasodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate(ERY/CMC/EDTA-4Na)composite PCMs with novel spatiotemporal thermal energy storage properties, defined as spatiotemporal PCMs(STPCMs),which exhibit the capacity of thermal energy long-term storage and controllable release. Our results show that the composite PCMs are unable to lose latent heat due to spontaneous crystallization during cooling, but can controllably release thermal energy through cold crystallization during reheating. The cold-crystallization temperature and enthalpy of composite PCMs can be adjusted by proportional addition of EDTA-4Na to the composite. When the mass fractions of CMC and EDTA-4Na are both 10%,the composite PCMs can exhibit the optical coldcrystallization temperature of 51.7℃ and enthalpy of 178.1 J/g.The supercooled composite PCMs without latent heat release can be maintained at room temperature(10-25℃)for up to more than two months, and subsequently the stored latent heat can be controllably released by means of thermal triggering or heterogeneous nucleation. Our findings provide novel insights into the design and construction of new PCMs with spatiotemporal performance of thermal energy long-term storage and controllable release, and consequently open a new door for the development of advanced solar thermal utilization techniques on the basis of STPCMs.

文摘The relaxation oscillation of the phase change memory (PCM) devices based on the Ge2Sb2Te5 material is investigated by applying square current pulses. The increasing current amplitudes could only quicken the oscillation velocity but not be able to eliminate it, which indicates that the relaxation oscillation might be an inherent behavior for the PCM cell.

文摘1T phase MoS_(2)(1T-MoS_(2)) is a promising substitute of platinum electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)due to its high intrinsic activity but suffering from thermodynamical instability.Although great efforts have been made to synthesize 1T-MoS_(2) and enhance its stability,it remains a big challenge to realize the phase control and stabilization of 1T-MoS_(2).Herein,based on crystal field theory analysis,we propose a new solution by designing an electrocatalyst of 1T-MoS_(2) nanosheets anchoring on black TiO2-xnanotube arrays in-situ grown on Ti plate(1T-MoS_(2)/TiO_(2-x)@Ti).The black TiO_(2-x)substrate is expected to play as electron donors to increase the charge in Mo 4 d orbits of 1T-MoS_(2) and thus weaken the asymmetric occupation of electrons in the Mo 4 d orbits.Experimental results demonstrate that black TiO_(2-x)nanotubes shift electrons to MoS_(2) and induce MoS_(2) to generate more 1 T phase due to stabilizing the 1T-MoS_(2) nanosheets compared with a Ti substrate. Thus 1T-MoS_(2/)TiO_(2-x)@Ti shows much improved HER performance with a small Tafel slope of 42 m V dec^(-1) and excellent catalytic stability with negligible degradation for 24 h.Theoretical calculations confirm that the black TiO_(2-x)substrate can effectively stabilize metastable 1T-MoS_(2) due to electrons transferring from black TiO_(2-x)to Mo 4 d orbits. This work sheds light on the instability of 1T-MoS_(2) and provides an essential method to stabilize and efficiently utilize 1T-MoS_(2) for HER.

文摘We present a new digital phase lock technology to achieve the frequency control and transformation through high precision multi-cycle group synchronization between signals without the frequency transformation circuit. The experiment shows that the short term frequency stability can reach 10-12/s orders of magnitude.
