The results showed that doping metals in the VO2(M) lattice could enhance the oxidative desulfurization(ODS) activity. The DSC and Raman spectra revealed that VO2(M) retained its monoclinic structure after doping. Mechanism for the improvement of ODS activity by doping was investigated. Electron transfer to V(V) atom occurs upon doping, and then V(V) changes into V(IV), which can promote the ODS reaction. This explanation can be confirmed by the fact that doping can promote the proportion of V(Ⅳ) after doping as revealed by the XPS analysis.展开更多

The electronic properties, pore dimension and hydrophilic properties of the catalysts were studied by XRD, BET, and 1R spectrometry. The Mo-Al2O3 catalyst and TiMCM-3% were also studied for comparison. The two series of MCM-41 zeolite with MoO3 in the framework or impregnated on the surface exhibited considerable activities at low MoO3 content and both were faxbetter than the Mo-Al2O3 catalyst, but had lower activities as compared to the TiMCM-3% catalyst. The catalysts with the highest activity were evaluated in a fixed-bed reactor. The concentration of DBT in model diesel upon oxidative desulfurization was successfully reduced from 5000 ppm to less than 150 ppm, but the catalysts were deactivated very fast. The probable reason was the high affinity of DBTO2 to the MCM-41 skeleton, especially to MoO3. The catalysts could restore most of its original activity by treating with alcohol.展开更多

文摘With the aim of deep desulfurization, silica-supported polyoxometalate-based ionic liquids were successfully prepared by a one-pot hydrothermal process and employed in heterogeneous oxidative desulfurization of various sulfur compounds. The compositions and structures of the hybrid samples were characterized by various methods such as FT-IR, XPS, Raman,UV–Vis, wide-angle XRD and N2adsorption–desorption. The experimental results indicated that the hybrid materials presented a high dispersion of tungsten species and excellent catalytic activity for the removal of 4,6-dimethyldibenzothiophene without any organic solvent as extractant, and the sulfur removal could reach 100.0% under mild conditions. The catalytic performance on various substrates was also investigated in detail. After cycling seven cycles, the sulfur removal of the heterogeneous system still reached 93.0%. The GC-MS analysis results demonstrated that the sulfur compound was first adsorbed by the catalyst and subsequently oxidized to its corresponding sulfone.

文摘PTA/UiO-66 composites were successfully synthesized by the hydrothermal method. The results showed that the synergistic effect between phosphotungstic acid(PTA)and UiO-66 could enhance the oxidative desulfurization(ODS)activity. The XRD results proved that UiO-66 retained its structure in the PTA/UiO-66 composites. The SEM results showed that the PTA/UiO-66 catalysts exhibited regular octahedral shape. The Raman spectra revealed that PTA in the composites retained the Keggin structure. The XPS results showed that the electron transfer occurred from Zr-MOF to PTA.The ODS reaction mechanism was discussed.Electrons transfer from Zr-MOF to PTA can promote the generation of active species(·OH)and thus enhance the ODS activity. This explanation can be confirmed by the formation of oxygen vacancy and W0 as revealed by the XPS analysis.

文摘The exploration of highly efficient catalysts based on nano-sized Ti-rich titanosilicate zeolites with controllable active titanium species is of great importance in zeolite catalytic reactions.Herein,we reported an efficient and facile synthesis of nano-sized Ti-rich TS-1(MFI)zeolites by replacing tetrabutyl orthotitanate(TBOT)with tetrabutyl orthotitanate tetramer(TBOT-tetramer)as the titanium source. The introduced TBOT-tetramer slowed down the zeolite crystallization process, and accordingly balanced the rate of incorporating Ti and the crystal growth and inhibited the massive formation of anatase species.Notably, the prepared Ti-rich TS-1 zeolite sample had a Si/Ti as low as 27.6 in contrast to conventional one with a molar ratio of 40.The TBOT-tetramer endowed the titanosilicate zeolites with enriched active titanium species and enlarged external surface area.It also impeded the formation of anatase species, resulting in superior catalytic behavior toward the oxidative desulfurization of dibenzothiophene compared with the conventional TS-1 zeolite counterpart prepared with TBOT.

文摘VO2(M) doped with different metals(Ti, Ce, Nb, Zr, W, and Mo) was successfully synthesized by the hydrothermal reduction process using oxalic acid as the reductant. This explanation can be confirmed by the fact that doping can promote the proportion of V(Ⅳ) after doping as revealed by the XPS analysis.

文摘Ce_(2)(MoO_(4))_(3)was synthesized by a simple reflux method using cerium nitrate hexahydrate and ammonium molybdate as reactants. The as-prepared Ce_(2)(MoO_(4))_(3)was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),X-ray diffraction(XRD),Scanning electron microscope(SEM),and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).The removal of dibenzothiophene(DBT)in model oil was studied using Ce_(2)(MoO_(4))_(3)as catalyst and oxygen as oxidant. The reaction factors such as reaction temperature, amount of catalyst, and sulfide type on sulfur removal were researched. The results prove that both Ce3+and MoO42-play significant role in the conversion from DBT to DBTO2.The Ce_(2)(MoO_(4))_(3)catalyst has an excellent performance for the sulfur removal of DBT.Under the optimum reaction conditions, sulfur removal of 99.6%was obtained. After recycling five times,no significant loss in catalyst activity of Ce_(2)(MoO_(4))_(3).Mechanism of aerobic oxidative desulfurization was proposed based on the experiment of free radical capture and infrared characterization.

文摘A metal-free N-hydroxyphthalimide/hexagonal boron nitride(NHPI/h-BN)catalytic system was developed for deep oxidative desulfurization(ODS)of fuel oils.Detailed experiments find that the heterogenization process of loading NHPI on h-BN not only benefits to the dispersion and utilization of NHPI,but also can significantly promote the catalytic performance.By employing NHPI/h-BN as the catalyst, azodiisobutyronitrile(AIBN)as the metal-free initiator,a 95%conversion of dibenzothiophene(DBT)can be acquired under the reaction conditions of 120°C and atmospheric pressure with molecular oxygen(O_(2))as oxidant. Moreover, the heterogenization is convenient for the regeneration of the catalyst with>94%DBT conversion after being recycled seven times.Characterizations illustrate that the promoted catalytic activity along with the regenerability originate from the interactions between NHPI and h-BN.The catalytic mechanism study shows that molecular oxygen is readily activated by the NHPI/h-BN to form a superoxide radical(O_(2)^(·-)),which oxidize DBT to DBTO2 for desulfurization.

文摘It is usually difficult to remove dibenzothiophenes from diesel fuels by oxidation with molecular oxygen as an oxidant. In the study, tungsten oxide was supported on magnetic mesoporous silica by calcination to form a magnetically separable catalyst for oxidative desulfurization of diesel fuel.By tuning different calcining temperatures, the catalyst calcined at 500℃showed a high catalytic activity with molecular oxygen as the oxidant.Under optimal reaction conditions, the sulfur removal of DBT reached 99.9%at 120℃after 8 h.Furthermore, the removals of 4-methyldibenzothiophene and 4,6-dimethyldibenzothiophene could also get up to 98.2%and 92.3%under the same conditions. The reaction mechanism was explored by selective quenching experiments and FT-IR spectra.
文摘An ultrasound-assisted heterogeneous catalytic oxidation process was applied to eliminate sulfur from commercial diesel fuel oil.The studied variables were catalyst concentration, type of catalyst(homogeneous or heterogeneous),oxidizing agent concentration, and the application of ultrasound energy.Supported catalysts were prepared by impregnation of coal fly ash with an iron(Ⅱ)sulfate aqueous solution using ultrasound energy. After drying, the catalyst was calcined at 500℃for 4 h.The oxidizing agent was hydrogen peroxide.Ultrasound energy was applied with a frequency of 47 kHz and an intensity of 147 W.Ethanol was employed for extracting the oxidized compounds from the hydrocarbon mixture.Coal fly ash and ethanol were used with the purpose of applying low-cost raw materials in chemical processes. It was found that under the studied conditions, increasing oxidizing agent concentration and the application of ultrasound energy can enhance the sulfur removal from commercial diesel fuel oil.Catalyst concentration did not play a significant role in the process.Similar results were obtained using homogeneous or heterogeneous catalyst, which is important since the heterogeneous catalyst could be recovered, reactivated, and used in many cycles.

文摘Owing to the increasingly serious environmental issues caused by the sulfur burnt in fuel, desulfurization has become an important topic. In this work, an amphiphilic oxygen-defective tungsten oxide was synthesized by a colloidal chemistry method. The amphiphilic property and oxygen defects were well characterized, and the structure of the oxygen-defective tungsten oxide catalyst was investigated. In addition, the catalyst was employed in oxidative desulfurization system of fuel, and deep desulfurization was achieved. It was found that the very high oxidative desulfurization performance of oxygendefective tungsten oxide catalyst resulted from both the amphiphilic property and oxygen defects. This work can provide a strategy for preparation of highly active metal oxide catalysts with oxygen defects in oxidative desulfurization reaction of fuel.

文摘The micro-spheric Bi_2WO_6 was synthesized by a simple one-step hydrothermal method. Bi_2WO_6 crystals were characterized using XRD, SEM, EDS and BET techniques. Bi_2WO_6, H_2O_2 and [HMIM][BF_4] served as catalyst, oxidant and extracting agent in the oxidative desulfurization system(ODS), respectively. The influence of extraction agent type, oxidant usage, catalyst dosage, temperature, sulfur compound type and other factors on the oxidative desulfurization was studied in the present work. The experimental results demonstrate that Bi_2WO_6 possesses high activity for desulfurization of dibenzothiophene(DBT) and benzothiophene(BT). The desulfurization rate of DBT and BT in model oil could reach 98.1% in 80 minutes and 96.2% in 120min at 70℃, respectively. Moreover, the desulfurization performance of catalyst for DBT hardly changed after being recycled for 10 times.
文摘Oxidative desulfurization was performed on Na2WO4 catalyst in the presence of hydrogen peroxide and acetic acid under mild reaction conditions (atmospheric pressure and temperature range of 293--343 K). Different organic compounds including benzothiophene (BT), dibenzothiophene (DBT), 4, 6-dimethyl dibenzothiophene (4, 6-DMDBT) were used to investigate the reactivity of this catalyst, and the effect of various parameters, such as temperature, solvents and the amount of oxidant reagent used in oxidative desulfurization reaction, was also examined. The results showed that the Na2WO4- H202 system was very effective for oxidative desulfurization, and the oxidation of BT, DBT and 4, 6-DMDBT was influenced by different parameters.
文摘Two series of molybdenum-containing MCM-41 catalysts were prepared for oxidative desulfurization ofdibenzothiophene (DBT) using t-butylhydroperoxide (TBHP) as the oxidant. The catalysts could restore most of its original activity by treating with alcohol.

文摘In this work, the removal of thiophene from simulated oil has been studied by using the adsorption, extraction and oxidation/adsorption methods, respectively. In the adsorptive desulfurization process, different commercial adsorbents were used to eliminate thiophene at ambient pressure and mild temperature, and the results showed that carbon powder had the best adsorption ability. In the extractive desulfurization process, the best desulfurization result was obtained when DMF is used. In the oxidative/adsorptive desulfurization procedure using synthesized potassium ferrate as the oxidant and phosphomolybdic acid solution as the catalyst, thiophene was oxidized and removed from hydrocarbons in combination with active carbon adsorption, and the residual sulfur content of simulated oil could be reduced to 15.3mg/L from the original level of 200mg/L, with the desulfurization rate reaching 92.3%.
