The control design, based on self-adaptive PID with genetic algorithms(GA) tuning on-line was investigated, for the temperature control of industrial microwave drying rotary device with the multi-layer(IMDRDWM) and with multivariable nonlinear interaction of microwave and materials. The conventional PID control strategy incorporated with optimization GA was put forward to maintain the optimum drying temperature in order to keep the moisture content below 1%, whose adaptation ability included the cost function of optimization GA according to the output change. Simulations on five different industrial process models and practical temperature process control system for selenium-enriched slag drying intensively by using IMDRDWM were carried out systematically, indicating the reliability and effectiveness of control design. The parameters of proposed control design are all on-line implemented without iterative predictive calculations, and the closed-loop system stability is guaranteed, which makes the developed scheme simpler in its synthesis and application, providing the practical guidelines for the control implementation and the parameter design. 展开更多

Remote control process system with distributed time-delay has attracted much attention in different fields.In this paper,non-linear remote control of a single tank process system with wireless network is considered.To deal with the distributed time-delay in a large-scale plant,the time-delay compensation controller based on DCS devices is designed by using operator theory and particle filter.Distributed control system(DCS)device is developed to monitor and control from the central monitoring room to each process.The particle filter is a probabilistic method to estimate unobservable information from observable information.First,remote control system and experimental equipment are introduced.Second,control system based on an operator theory is designed.Then,process system with distributed time-delay using particle filter is carried out.Finally,the actual experiment is conducted by using the proposed time-delay compensation controller.When estimating with the proposed method,the result is close to the case in which the distributed time-delay does not exist.The effectiveness of the proposed control system is confirmed by experiment results. 展开更多

In this paper,the optimal control of non-linear switching system is investigated without knowing the system dynamics.First,the Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman(HJB)equation is derived with the consideration of hybrid action space.Then,a novel data-based hybrid Q-learning(HQL)algorithm is proposed to find the optimal solution in an iterative manner.In addition,the theoretical analysis is provided to illustrate the convergence and optimality of the proposed algorithm.Finally,the algorithm is implemented with the actor-critic(AC)structure,and two linear-in-parameter neural networks are utilized to approximate the functions.Simulation results validate the effectiveness of the data-driven method. 展开更多

So far, only few guidelines related to t... Predictive control has recently received much attention from researchers. However a challenging problem to be solved is how to tune the parameters of the predictive controller. So far, only few guidelines related to tuning of the parameters of predictive controllers have been provided in literature. In practice, these parameters are generally off-line determined by the designers' experience. From the point of view of process control, it is difficult to find out the optimal parameters for the control system based on a single quadratic performance index, which is used in the standard predictive control algorithm. The fuzzy decision-making function is investigated in this paper. Firstly, M control actions are achieved by unconstrained predictive control algorithm, and fuzzy goals and fuzzy constraints are then calculated and the global satisfaction degree is obtained by fuzzy inference. Moreover, the weighting coefficient λ in the cost function is tuned using simulation optimization according to the fuzzy criteria. 展开更多

The cascade systems which stabilize the transverse deviation of the ship in relation to the set path is presented. The ship's path is determined as a broken line with specified coordinates of way points. Three controllers are used in the system. The main primary controller is the trajectory controller. The set value of heading for the course control system or angular velocity for the turning control system is generated. The course control system is used on the straight line of the set trajectory while the turning controller is used during a change of the set trajectory segment. The characteristics of the non-linear controllers are selected in such a way that the properties of the control system with the rate of turn controller are modelled by the first-order inertia, while the system with the course keeping controller is modelled by a second-order linear term. The presented control system is tested in computer simulation. Some results of simulation tests are presented and discussed. 展开更多

[目的]探讨On-line置换液与生理盐水在血液透析滤过(HDF)病人回血中的应用效果,以期为临床护理工作提供理论依据。[方法]选取30例规律HDF病人为研究对象,采用自身对照方法,每例病人每周依次采用On-line置换液和生理盐水回血,比较回血过程中残余血量、静脉壶液体温度、护士的工作量及经济效益。[结果]采用On-line置换液回血法残余血量及回血后静脉壶温度分别为(1.89±0.91)mL,(33.36±0.15)℃,而采用生理盐水法为(2.88±0.23)mL、(27.13±0.14)℃,差异均有统计学意义(P<0.01);而透析器凝血状况比较差异无统计学意义(P=0.08);采用On-line置换液回血时护士工作量减少,回血液体成本降低。[结论]应用接近生理温度的On-line置换液回血能稀释血液、降低血液黏稠度,减少血路管残余血量,增加病人舒适感,提高工作效率。 展开更多

Reagents are optimized for the simultaneous determination of trace amounts of Cu^(2+), Cd^(2+) and Co^(2+) in zinc sulfate solution, which contains an extremely large excess of Zn^(2+). First, the reagents and their doses for the experiment are selected according to the characteristics of the zinc sulfate solution. Then, the reagent doses are optimized by analyzing the influence of reagent dose on the polarographic parameters(i.e. half-wave potential E_(1/2) and limiting diffusion current I_p). Finally, the optimization results are verified by simultaneously determining trace amounts of Cu^(2+), Cd^(2+) and Co^(2+) in the presence of an extremely large excess of Zn^(2+). The determination results indicate that the optimized reagents exhibit wide linearity, low detection limits, high accuracy and good precision for the simultaneous determination of trace amounts of Cu^(2+), Cd^(2+) and Co^(2+) in the presence of an extremely large excess of Zn^(2+). 展开更多

On-line forecasting model for zinc output based on self-tuning support vector regression and its application

An on-line forecasting model based on self-tuning support vectors regression for zinc output was put forward to maximize zinc output by adjusting operational parameters in the process of imperial smelting furnace. In this model, the mathematical model of support vector regression was converted into the same format as support vector machine for classification. Then a simplified sequential minimal optimization for classification was applied to train the regression coefficient vector α- α* and threshold b. Sequentially penalty parameter C was tuned dynamically through forecasting result during the training process. Finally, an on-line forecasting algorithm for zinc output was proposed. The simulation result shows that in spite of a relatively small industrial data set, the effective error is less than 10% with a remarkable performance of real time. The model was applied to the optimization operation and fault diagnosis system for imperial smelting furnace. 展开更多

A robust on-line fault diagnosis methor based on least squares estimate for nonlinear difference-algebraic systems (DAS) with uncertainties is proposed. Based on the known nominal model of the DAS, this method firstly constructs an auxiliary system consisting of a difference equation and an algebraic equation, then, based on the relationship between the state deviation and the faults in the difference equation and the relationship between the algebraic variable deviation and the faults in algebraic equation, it identifies the faults on-line through least squares estimate. This method can not only detect, isolate and identify faults for DAS, but also give the upper bound of the error of fault identification. The simulation results indicate that it can give satisfactory diagnostic results for both abrupt and incipient faults. 展开更多

This work proposes the application of an iterative learning model predictive control(ILMPC)approach based on an adaptive fault observer(FOBILMPC)for fault-tolerant control and trajectory tracking in air-breathing hypersonic vehicles.In order to increase the control amount,this online control legislation makes use of model predictive control(MPC)that is based on the concept of iterative learning control(ILC).By using offline data to decrease the linearized model’s faults,the strategy may effectively increase the robustness of the control system and guarantee that disturbances can be suppressed.An adaptive fault observer is created based on the suggested ILMPC approach in order to enhance overall fault tolerance by estimating and compensating for actuator disturbance and fault degree.During the derivation process,a linearized model of longitudinal dynamics is established.The suggested ILMPC approach is likely to be used in the design of hypersonic vehicle control systems since numerical simulations have demonstrated that it can decrease tracking error and speed up convergence when compared to the offline controller. 展开更多

This paper presents an investigation on the target-guided coordinated control(TACC)of unmanned surface vehicles(USVs).In the scenario of tracking non-cooperative targets,the status information of the target can only be obtained by some USVs.In order to achieve semi-encirclement tracking of noncooperative targets under maritime security conditions,a fixed-time tracking control method based on dynamic surface control(DSC)is proposed in this paper.Firstly,a novel TACC architecture with decoupled kinematic control law and decoupled kinetic control law was designed to reduce the complexity of control system design.Secondly,the proposed DSC-based target-guided kinematic control law including tracking points pre-allocation strategy and sigmoid artificial potential functions(SigAPFs)can avoid collisions during tracking process and optimize kinematic control output.Finally,a fixed-time TACC system was proposed to achieve fast convergence of kinematic and kinetics errors.The effectiveness of the proposed TACC approach in improving target tracking safety and reducing control output chattering was verified by simulation comparison results. 展开更多

The present technical paper outlines the details of the controlled blasting techniques used to optimize blasting pattern for excavation of hard rock near the Bhira Earthen Dam in Maharashtra,India.In this connection,a series of experimental blasts were conducted by adjusting various blast design parameters at project site.The safe charge weight per delay was kept between 0.125 and 0.375 kg.The outcomes of these experimental blasts were analyzed to recommend optimized blasting patterns and methods for the overall excavation process during actual blasting operations.Blast design parameters,including the maximum quantity of explosive per delay,hole depth,burden and spacing between holes were optimized by using a site-specific attenuation equation,taking into account the proximity of the dam and tunnel from the blasting area.Peak particle velocity(PPV)level of 10 mm/s and 50 mm/s respectively were adopted as the safe vibration level for ensuring safety of the Bhira Earthen Dam and the nearby tunnel from the adverse effects of blast vibrations by analyzing the dominant frequency of ground vibrations observed and also by reviewing various international standards.Frequency of the ground vibrations observed on the dam and tunnel from majority of the blasts was found to be more than 10 Hz and 50 Hz respectively.During the entire period of blasting,the blast vibrations were recorded to be far lower than the safe vibration level set for these structures.Maximum Vibration level of about 0.8 mm/s and 35 mm/s were observed on dam and tunnel respectively which are far lower than the safe vibration level adopted for these structures.Hence,the entire excavation work was completed successfully and safely,without endangering the safety of dam or tunnel. 展开更多

The liquid cooling system(LCS)of fuel cells is challenged by significant time delays,model uncertainties,pump and fan coupling,and frequent disturbances,leading to overshoot and control oscillations that degrade temperature regulation performance.To address these challenges,we propose a composite control scheme combining fuzzy logic and a variable-gain generalized supertwisting algorithm(VG-GSTA).Firstly,a one-dimensional(1D)fuzzy logic controler(FLC)for the pump ensures stable coolant flow,while a two-dimensional(2D)FLC for the fan regulates the stack temperature near the reference value.The VG-GSTA is then introduced to eliminate steady-state errors,offering resistance to disturbances and minimizing control oscillations.The equilibrium optimizer is used to fine-tune VG-GSTA parameters.Co-simulation verifies the effectiveness of our method,demonstrating its advantages in terms of disturbance immunity,overshoot suppression,tracking accuracy and response speed. 展开更多

The graded density impactor(GDI)dynamic loading technique is crucial for acquiring the dynamic physical property parameters of materials used in weapons.The accuracy and timeliness of GDI structural design are key to achieving controllable stress-strain rate loading.In this study,we have,for the first time,combined one-dimensional fluid computational software with machine learning methods.We first elucidated the mechanisms by which GDI structures control stress and strain rates.Subsequently,we constructed a machine learning model to create a structure-property response surface.The results show that altering the loading velocity and interlayer thickness has a pronounced regulatory effect on stress and strain rates.In contrast,the impedance distribution index and target thickness have less significant effects on stress regulation,although there is a matching relationship between target thickness and interlayer thickness.Compared with traditional design methods,the machine learning approach offers a10^(4)—10^(5)times increase in efficiency and the potential to achieve a global optimum,holding promise for guiding the design of GDI. 展开更多
