However, their inherent instability presents a significant challenge. Recent advances have demonstrated that optoelectronic devices based on monolayer nanoparticle films exhibit both high luminescence efficiency and long-term stability. Our research demonstrates that mobility limitations and anisotropic alignments in CsPbBr3nanocube monolayer films are key to their stabilization, hindering spontaneous growth through face-to-face fusion and resulting in the formation of connecting necks in a diagonal direction. Introducing laser irradiation confirmed this by significantly accelerating nanocubes growth, increasing mobility, and enhancing local structural ordering, leading to larger and more regularly shaped nanosheets. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy line-scan analyses indicated that laser irradiation did not disrupt the ligand structure. Transmission electron microscopy and correlative cathodoluminescence electron microscopy revealed the effects of post-growth and heterogeneous structures, including enhanced luminescence and inhomogeneous intensity in the nanosheets. These findings deepen the understanding of the post-growth mechanism of monolayer nanoparticles and the structure-emission correlation and highlight the unique role of laser irradiation in directing the formation of well-defined and regular nanostructures.展开更多

Here we propose a method to study DSR in a single mode-locked laser in these different dispersion regimes. This is achieved by virtue of a waveshaper which can control the laser dispersion readily using software, avoiding the usual tedious cutback method. We find that dispersion has a negligible effect on DSR since the pulse duration keeps constant while dispersion is varied. Moreover, we examine the dynamics of DSR on the parameters of the SA including modulation depth and saturation power, and find that the pulse duration can be changed in a large range when the saturation power is decreased. Our numerical simulations could be important to guide relative experimental studies.展开更多

The technique proposed in this paper could provide a reference for the system design of a massive high-power CBC system.

文摘The development of energy storage devices with high energy density relies heavily on thick film electrodes, but it is challenging due to the limited ion transport kinetics inherent in thick electrodes. Here,we report on the preparation of a directional vertical array of micro-porous transport networks on LTO electrodes using a femtosecond laser processing strategy, enabling directional ion rapid transport and achieving good electrochemical performance in thick film electrodes.Various three-dimensional(3D)vertically aligned micro-pore networks are innovatively designed, and the structure, kinetics characteristics, and electrochemical performance of the prepared ion transport channels are analyzed and discussed by multiple characterization and testing methods.Furthermore, the rational mechanisms of electrode performance improvement are studied experimentally and simulated from two aspects of structural mechanics and transmission kinetics. The ion diffusion coefficient, rate performance at 60 C,and electrode interface area of the laser-optimized 60-15%micro-porous transport network electrodes increase by 25.2 times,2.2 times, and 2.15 times, respectively than those of untreated electrodes. Therefore, the preparation of 3D micro-porous transport networks by femtosecond laser on ultra-thick electrodes is a feasible way to develop high-energy batteries. In addition, the unique micro-porous transport network structure can be widely extended to design and explore other high-performance energy materials.

文摘We present a Brillouin–Raman random fiber laser(BRRFL)with full-open linear cavity structure to generate broadband Brillouin frequency comb(BFC)with double Brillouin-frequency-shift spacing. The incorporation of a regeneration portion consisting of an erbium-doped fiber and a single-mode fiber enables the generation of broadband BFC.The dynamics of broadband BFC generation changing with the pump power(EDF and Raman)and Brillouin pump(BP)wavelength are investigated in detail, respectively.Under suitable conditions, the bidirectional BRRFL proposed can produce a flatamplitude BFC with 40.7-nm bandwidth ranging from 1531 nm to 1571.7 nm,and built-in 242-order Brillouin Stokes lines(BSLs)with double Brillouin-frequency-shift spacing. Moreover, the linewidth of single BSL is experimentally measured to be about 2.5 kHz.The broadband bidirectional narrow-linewidth BRRFL has great potential applications in optical communication, optical sensing, spectral measurement, and so on.

文摘An LD directly-pumped solid-state laser is considered to be one of the most promising mid-infrared light sources because of its simple principle, small size, and compact structure for the generation of mid-infrared(MIR)lasers in the 3-5µm band. However, the quantum defect of LD directly-pumped MIR solid-state lasers will be much larger than that of ordinary near-infrared LD pumped solid-state lasers, which may lead to thermal damage and limit their development. In order to solve this problem, the methods of reducing the specific surface area of the crystal and improving the thermal energy released by the crystal structure are discussed, and the opti⁃mal length of the laser crystal is determined. The cooling structures of barium yttrium fluoride laser crystals(Ho^(3+):BY_(2)F_(8))of different lengths were studied by thermal simulation using COMSOL software. The experimen⁃tal results show that the output power can be increased and the thermal stress in the laser crystal can be alleviated by using the laser crystal whose length is slightly shorter than that of the cooler. The final experiment shows that when the pump repetition rate is 15 Hz and the pulse width is 90µs,the single pulse energy is 7.28 mJ at the out⁃put wavelength of 3.9µm,which is about 3 times as large as that of the crystal with the length of 10 mm(2.81 mJ).Such results should be another breakthrough of our team since the first directly-pumped solid-state MIR laser was realized more than a year ago.It might pave the way for the construction of a feasible MIR laser in the near future.
文摘The ramifications of global climate change and resource scarcities have made it imperative to re-examine the definition of sustainable energy-storage systems. It is crucial to recognize that not all renewable resources are inherently sustainable, and their full impact on the environment must be assessed. With the proliferation of invasive jellyfish species wreaking havoc on marine ecosystems and economies worldwide, utilizing overabundant jellyfish as a carbon source presents an opportunity to create energy-storage systems that are both financially beneficial and environmentally remediating.Accordingly,a comprehensive approach to sustainability also requires eco-friendly solutions throughout the entire lifecycle, from material sourcing to battery production, without compromising highperformance requirements.Currently, most electrode syntheses for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs) employed are energy-intensive,multiple-steps,complex,and additive-heavy.In response, this work pioneers the straightforward use of low-energy laser irradiation of a jellyfish biomass/silicon nanoparticle blend to encapsulate the silicon nanoparticles in-situ within the as-forming conductive carbonized matrix, creating sustainable and additive-free composite anodes. The self-standing anode is directly synthesized under ambient conditions and requires no post-processing.Here,a laser-synthesized conductive threedimensional porous carbon/silicon composite anode from raw jellyfish biomass for LIBs is presented, displaying outstanding cyclic stability(>1000 cycles),excellent capacity retention(>50% retention after1000 cycles),exceptional coulombic efficiency(>99%),superb reversible gravimetric capacity(>2000 mAh/g),and high rate performance capability(>1.6 A/g),paving a new path to future sustainable energy production.

文摘A high-power laser ablating solid targets induces giant electromagnetic pulses(EMPs),which are intimately pertinent to laser parameters, such as energy and pulse width. In this study,we reveal the features of EMPs generated from a picosecond(ps)laser irradiating solid targets at the SG-Ⅱpicosecond petawatt(PSPW)laser facility. The laser energy and pulse,as well as target material and thickness, show determinative effects on the EMPs’amplitude.More intense EMPs are detected behind targets compared to those at the other three positions, and the EMP amplitude decreases from 90.09 kV/m to 17.8 kV/m with the gold target thickness increasing from 10μm to 20μm,which is suppressed when the laser pulse width is enlarged. The results are expected to provide more insight into EMPs produced by ps lasers coupling with targets and lay the foundation for an effective EMP shielding design in high-power laser infrastructures.

文摘Dissipative soliton resonance(DSR) was previously studied in separated mode-locked fiber lasers within different dispersion regimes including anomalous, near-zero and normal dispersion. Our numerical simulations could be important to guide relative experimental studies.

文摘Nyquist pulses have wide applications in many areas, from electronics to optics.Mode-locked lasers are ideal platforms to generate such pulses. However, how to generate high-quality Nyquist pulses in mode-locked lasers remains elusive. We address this problem by managing different physical effects in mode-locked fiber lasers through extensive numerical simulations. We find that net dispersion, linear loss, gain and filter shaping can affect the quality of Nyquist pulses significantly. We also demonstrate that Nyquist pulses experience similariton shaping due to the nonlinear attractor effect in the gain medium. Our work may contribute to the design of Nyquist pulse sources and enrich the understanding of pulse shaping dynamics in mode-locked lasers.

文摘In this work,we theoretically unlock the potential of Ho^(3+)-doped InF3 fiber for efficient~3.2μm laser generation(from the ^(5)F_(4),^(5)S_(2)→^(5)F_(5) transition),by employing a novel dual-wavelength pumping scheme at 1150 nm and 980 nm,for the first time.Under clad-coupled 1150 nm pumping of 5 W,~3.2μm power of 3.6 W has been predicted with the optical-to-optical efficiency of 14.4%.Further efficient power scaling, however,is blocked by the output saturation with 980 nm pumping. To alleviate this behavior, the cascaded ^(5)I_(5)→^(5)I_(6) transition,targeting~3.9μm,has been activated simultaneously, therefore accelerating the population circulation between the laser upper level ^(5)F_(4),^(5)S_(2) and long-lived ^(5)I_(6) level under 980 nm pumping. As a result,enhanced~3.2μm power of 4.68 W has been obtained with optical-to-optical efficiency of 15.6%.Meanwhile the~3.9μm laser, yielding power of 2.76 W with optical-to-optical efficiency of 9.2%,is theoretically achievable as well with a moderate heat load,of which the performance is even better than the prior experimentally and theoretically reported Ho^(3+)-doped InF3 fiber lasers emitting at~3.9μm alone. This work demonstrates a versatile platform for laser generation at~3.2μm and~3.9μm,thus providing the new opportunities for many potential applications,e.g.,polymer processing, infrared countermeasures, and free-space communications.

文摘The alteration in surface color of metallic glasses(MGs)holds great significance in the context of microstructuredesign and commercial utility. It is essential to accurately describe the structures that are formed during the laser and colorseparation processes in order to develop practical laser coloring applications.Due to the high oxidation sensitivity of Labasedmetallic glass,it can broaden the color range but make it more complex.Structure coloring by laser processing on thesurface of La-based metallic glass can be conducted after thermoplastic forming. It is particularly important to clarify therole of structure and composition in the surface coloring process. The aim is to study the relationship between amorphoussurface structural color, surface geometry, and oxide formation by laser processing in metallic glasses. The findings revealedthat the periodic structure primarily determines the surface color at laser energy densities below 1.0 J/mm^(2).In contrast, thesurface color predominantly depends on the proportion of oxides that are formed when energy densities exceed 1.0 J/mm^(2).Consequently,this study provides a novel concept for the fundamental investigation of laser coloring and establishes a newavenue for practical application.

文摘We study the above-threshold ionization(ATI)process of atoms exposed to fundamental and high-frequency lasers with arbitrary ellipticity by applying the frequency-domain theory. It is found that the angular-resolved ATI spectrum is sensitive to ellipticities of two lasers and emitted angles of the photoelectron.Particularly for the photon energy of the highfrequency laser more than atomic ionization potential, the width of plateau tends to a constant with increasing ellipticity of fundamental field, the dip structure disappears with increasing ellipticity of the high-frequency field. With the help of the quantum channel analysis,it is shown that the angular distribution depends mainly on the ellipticity of high-frequency field in the case that its frequency is high. Moreover, one can see that the maximal and minimal energies in quantum numerical results are in good agreement with the classical prediction. Our investigation may provide theoretical support for experimental research on polarization control of ionization in elliptically polarized two-color laser fields.

文摘Recent experimental progresses regarding broadband laser-plasma instabilities(LPIs)show that a 0.6%laser bandwidth can reduce backscatters of the stimulated Brillouin scattering(SBS)and the stimulated Raman scattering(SRS)at normal incidence[Phys.Rev.Lett.132035102(2024)].In this paper,we present a further discussion of the spectral distributions of the scatters developed by broadband LPIs,in addition to a brief validation of the effectiveness of bandwidth on LPIs mitigation at oblique incidence.SBS backscatter has a small redshift in the broadband case contrary to the blueshift with narrowband laser, which may be explained by the self-cross beam energy transfer between the various frequency components within the bandwidth.SRS backscatter spectrum presents a peak at a longer wavelength in the broadband case compared to the short one in the narrowband case, which is possibly attributed to the mitigation effect of bandwidth on filaments at underdense plasmas. The three-halves harmonic emission(3ω/2)has a one-peak spectral distribution under the broadband condition, which is different from the two-peak distribution under the narrowband condition, and may be related to the spectral mixing of different frequency components within the bandwidth if the main sources of the two are both two-plasmon decays.
