In 2024,the Chinese Meridian Project(CMP)completed its construction,deploying 282 instruments across 31 stations.This achievement not only provides a robust foundation but also serves as a reference template for the I...In 2024,the Chinese Meridian Project(CMP)completed its construction,deploying 282 instruments across 31 stations.This achievement not only provides a robust foundation but also serves as a reference template for the International Meridian Circle Program(IMCP).The IMCP aims to integrate and establish a comprehensive network of ground-based monitoring stations designed to track the propagation of space weather events from the Sun to Earth.Additionally,it monitors various disturbances generated within the Earth system that impact geospace.Over the past two years,significant progress has been made on the IMCP.In particular,the second phase of construction for the China-Brazil Joint Laboratory for Space Weather has been completed,and the North Pole and Southeast Asia networks are under active construction.The 2024 IMCP joint observation campaign was successfully conducted.To facilitate these developments,the scientific program committee of IMCP was established,following the success of 2023 IMCP workshop and the space weather school,which was co-hosted with the Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization(APSCO)and sponsored by Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS)and Scientific Committee on Solar-Terrestrial Physics(SCOSTEP).Preparations are now underway for the 2024 workshop in collaboration with the National Institute for Space Research(INPE)in Brazil.展开更多

The difficulty to define ethics or ethical obligation in the area ...The increased complexity and scales of international arbitration cases require a larger roster of righteous and experienced international arbitrators. The difficulty to define ethics or ethical obligation in the area of international arbitration has caused increased discussion and confusion. As a result,the tendency towards codification of ethical obligations would provide a more precise and practical mean to regulate arbitrators' behavior. The legal sources of ethical obligations of international arbitrators contain international conventions,national laws,arbitral institutions' rules as well as institutional codes of ethics. The main substantive ethical obligations include disclosing,investigating,conducting the arbitration in accordance with the arbitration agreement,maintaining confidentiality,being competent and diligent. Chinese authorities and foreign-related arbitral institutions should enhance the codification and uniformity of the international arbitrators' ethical obligations. The relevant strategies for revising the Arbitration Lawand arbitrators' ethical codes,unifying the foreign-related arbitration institution ethical rules and joining the harmonious progress of international arbitration should be considered correspondingly.展开更多

On one hand, the TNCs make cross-inv estments, transnational merger & acquisition so as to achieve the optimum colloc ation of R&D resources, and obtain innovation in knowledge and technology. On th e other hand, the developed countries transfer labor and resource intensive indu stry as well as the labor-intensive link of the production chain in highly tech nology industry to the developing countries, to make their industrial structure escalation. (2) The adjustment and upgrade of manufacturing industry presents "m ulti-step type". First, the object of international transference substitutes th e capital-intensive industry and maturing industry with complicate technique fo r the industry with labor-intensive, simple technique or higher pollution, or s ubstitutes non-core complex technological procedure and parts and components fo r assembly in manufacturing process. Secondly, technology transference forms "br ain-hand and foot" pattern, i.e. the developed countries are increasingly p aying more and more attention to the research and control of core technology, th us transferring simple technique and labor-intensive procedure in higher scienc e and technology. Thirdly, the developed countries begins to transfer both capit al and technology intensive production, as well as transfer certain procedures i n higher technology production process to a few developing countries, even t o transfer parts of R & D to developing countries. (3) TNCs promote the global m anufacturing network (GMN) by recombination and transfer. TNCs organize producti on, trade, technological research and transference through foreign direct invest ment (FDI) all over the world, as a result, GMN makes the national competence no longer depend on absolute occupation of certain industries, but on national com prehensive strength and comparative superiority. TNCs try to race to seize the h igher location of industrial value chain, only leaving the core technology and h igher value-added chains in mother countries, on the other hand, they transfer lower manufacturing power more and more to other countries. (4) TNCs transfer th eir domestic manufacturing bases abroad, China would become world- manufacturin g center. Chinese market is increasingly arousing foreign investor’s interest, " Made in China" will be a synonym of manufacturing industry in new century, subst ituting for "Made in U.S.", "Made in Japanese" and "Made in Europe". One of the main goals of internal ballist...A deep understanding of the internal ballistic process and the factors affecting it is of primary importance to efficiently design a gun system and ensure its safe management. One of the main goals of internal ballistics is to estimate the gas pressure into the combustion chamber and the projectile muzzle velocity in order to use the propellant to its higher efficiency while avoiding over-pressure phenomena. Dealing with the internal ballistic problem is a complex undertaking since it requires handling the interaction between different constituents during a transient time lapse with very steep rise of pressure and temperature. Several approaches have been proposed in the literature, based on different assumptions and techniques. Generally, depending on the used mathematical framework, they can be classified into two categories: computational fluid dynamics-based models and lumped-parameter ones. By focusing on gun systems, this paper offers a review of the main contributions in the field by mentioning their advantages and drawbacks. An insight into the limitations of the currently available modelling strategies is provided,as well as some considerations on the choice of one model over another. Lumped-parameter models, for example, are a good candidate for performing parametric analysis and optimisation processes of gun systems, given their minimum requirements of computer resources. Conversely, CFD-based models have a better capacity to address more sophisticated phenomena like pressure waves and turbulent flow effects. The performed review also reveals that too little attention has been given to small calibre guns since the majority of currently available models are conceived for medium and large calibre gun systems.Similarly, aspects like wear phenomena, bore deformations or projectile-barrel interactions still need to be adequately addressed and our suggestion is to dedicate more effort on it.展开更多
